- it’s gonna follow most of the beats from the musical, minus some at the beginning, probably more Shadow and Amy interaction but I’ll get there when I get there
- I think I wanna put Eggman as prof Callahan but the lore is gonna change a bit to fit into the universe better
- there’s gonna be a few ocs for background characters like Enid or the delta nu girls (minus 1 bc I think sticks should at least be Margo) but for the most part more minor characters aren’t a huge issue
- some of the motivations will have to change to fit the characters obviously. Like shadows not in law to try and buy a house for his mom lol. I’m thinking he’s trying to become a lawyer to get justice for the people who killed Maria
- I’m struggling to figure out what I want included: I don’t think they have powers it’s more real world au, but should I incorporate the chaos emeralds? Maybe flickies and badniks?
- Oh and chao exist because I want Amy’s to be the Bruiser equivalent
- I thought eggman could still be all supervillain but not yet and Amy finds out about it and has to leave which fits into the plot near the end a bit better- she has a soft spot for flickies anyways and maybe to see that he’s building machines using their power would really upset her. But then what? Is his goal to get the chaos emeralds? Or is this like a general power grab type thing?
Side note: if anyone has any shadamy fic requests to read so I can get a hold of their characters a little more pls send them my way!

“Alphabet Soup by Aught_Naut” is a kingdom hearts au that is amazingly well written and I recommend it even if you don’t know anything about kingdom hearts (I don’t and still love it, when I get confused about a reference I look it up lol)
KINGDOM HEARTS???? ive never played the games tbh but i know a lot about it because a friend is super obsessed with it!! im 100% reading that and probably recommending it to my friend if i like it because i know they'd love reading a crossover like that The rest I will also look at! You're basically feeding my love for tokoyami and i appreciate it so much!! Definitely checking these + what you recommended before out because they all seem really interesting :)
My favorite fic of all time for tokoyami is Don't Let me Go; my Wings are Clipped by AlleyFox on ao3
I also like How To Train Your Shadow by Little_Pine_Tree on ao3 (it’s a how to train your dragon au)
I also like fics from flyweeabooty on ao3 because they write the dynamic between tokoyami and dark shadow so well
WAIT THERES AN HTTYD AU WITH MY SONS??? this ask is like a godsend bc ive mostly been reading the ATLA dabihawks au that a mutual recommended and also the other tokoyami fic recs from earlier!

Unsure if you ever got those Tokoyami fic reccomendations you wanted, but I have my eye on two A03 authors, CuspidGoddess (who write primarily dabi/hawks ships but Tokoyami plays a prominent role in most of them and even gets his own pov story) and gringalet (who has a mini series called 'Nesting Instinct', with Hawks fawning over a little kid Tokoyami who has been adopted by Dabi).
MY SAVIOURRRR. I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR GOOD FICS THAT INCLUDE HIM AS A PROMINENT CHARACTER SINCE I POSTED THAT REQUEST AND THIS IS A GOD SEND <3 I'll definitely check both of these out, thank you so much! I've heard of "nesting instinct" but I haven't actually read it so I'm definitely going to go and devour it :D

It's like that? Like, it's such an excellent look at humanity and masking and people being different aspects of themselves throughout their lives, but it's all hidden in the subtext of a story about spirits and I love that even more?!
I love that sometimes we see humanity best when we strip away what we usually define as human.

The absolute BEST Harry Potter fanfic I have ever read in my LIFE is "Harry Potter and the Lack of Lamb Sauce".
It has Chef Gordan Ramsey (Hufflepuff) coming to Hogwarts to be Potions Master in Harry's 6th year. It sounds like it should be a silly crack fic but I swear to you on my love of stories that this shit will have you hooked.
If you ever loved the Harry Potter series and felt betrayed by J. K. Rowling's words and actions, please read this fic. It reminded me so much of WHY I found such comfort in Harry Potter. It brought me back to staying up late on school nights and talking with my friends. It brought me back to being young and learning friendship lessons from fictional books. It brought back screaming in rage into a pillow, and tears at 2am, and the deep grief that comes from having loved a person, real or not, so much.
I revisit this fic about once a year. It's intense. It's wonderful. I just felt the need today to scream that adoration into the Tumblr void; maybe it can help somebody else.

Bc in canon going ‘it’s been 80 years and media has changed’ doesn’t really work.
So I like the idea that even monsters take one look at Dixk Grayson and decide that yeah even they can’t fuck that up and good men who lose their way look at him and go ‘oh I was absolutely heading the wrong direction lemme just turn myself around and head back on track thank ya kindly’ ya know?
Also every wasn’t at the circus but they all met dick Grayson bro really said ‘multiversal constant’
