⟅07.09.2024 — eu comecei essa capa no dia 06 de Setembro, no início da minha gripe e finalizei na luta e na coragem pq eu fiquei MUITO DOENTE de repente e é sobre isso. Eu peguei muita fumaça. FINALMENTE fiz uma capa soukoku, vocês não imaginam a minha felicidade, eu estou nas nuvens :3 nenhuma surpresa, eu estava sem internet, dessa vez nem em casa tinha e não sei até agora o que raios aconteceu pra net só voltar lá pras 19:30 (!) ainda bem que deu pra finalizar a capa sem muitos problemas :3 e olha só... Asagiri. Asagiri come sit with me. Asagiri do you realize how much this statement makes Dazai's internal monologue about Chuuya much more intriguing? He doesn't like Chuuya.
In Fifteen, his irritation comes from his perception of Chuuya as a shallow violent guy who's just looking for the biggest enemy (Arahabaki) to beat up. He doesn't like him. Turns out this perception was wrong. He still doesn't like him. Chuuya turns out to be someone who struggles with his humanity in perhaps a more relatable way than Dazai ever expected. And he doesn't like him. Seeing Chuuya and Rimbaud fight inspires Dazai to give a new go at life, and he conspires with everything he has to make Chuuya join the Port Mafia to be his underling. But he doesn't like him.
Then comes Storm Bringer, during which a guy comes along and wants to kill Dazai and take Chuuya away, and Dazai fights tooth and nail to prevent both from happening. He doesn't like him. Dazai vehemently denies the possibility of Chuuya being an artificial human. He doesn't like him. Dazai is uncomfortable for having to tell Chuuya their best course of action would get rid of the last remaining lead they have over his origins, to the point he starts planning for not doing it. And he doesn't like him.
Dazai has contributed to building up years of mutual trust between him and Chuuya. He doesn't like him. Chuuya is always executing Dazai's plans nearly perfectly. He doesn't like him. For a few minutes Dazai considered the possibility he would be drowning Chuuya for real and took the time to reminisce about their good times together. He doesn't like him. He was partnered with Chuuya for a maximum of 3 years, statistically probably a lot less, yet he insists on saying they've known each other for 7 years and still calls Chuuya partner once in a while. But he doesn't like him.
What could possibly be going on inside his head for all of the above to be true at the same time? He's admitted more than once to thinking about Chuuya night and day... but it was of ways to kill Chuuya, so it's fine, obviously, because it means he doesn't like him!!!
Asagiri. I understand your simple words of dismissal as a way to warn your readers you have no intention of pushing that particular thread further in your writing. But Asagiri. Do you not see the monster, this walking mass of contradictions, that you've created? What do you mean he "just doesn't like Chuuya"? Not Chuuya angst this ain't about him I'm holding Dazai up by the scruff and waving him around like a prop. What were his motivations then? Why does he do any of this? What unknown depth of character hides in those cracks, Asagiri?
Concept:
With the way Beast Chuuya talks about killing Beast Dazai one day. What if that was the Beast worlds version of the 6 month promise?
It’s just that in this world it’s between Soukoku and not Shin Soukoku.
When Bsd Atsushi made Bsd Akutagawa a promise to not kill anyone for 6 months, he did it to show him the value of life. To show him that he was more than a cold hearted killer.
Maybe here Beast Chuuya figured Beast Dazai was hiding something from him. And Beast Dazai turned it into a bet. Just like all the games they used to play back when they were equals.
If you can figure out what I’m hiding you get to kill me.
But until then you will be my obedient little dog.
With Beast Chuuya never realising that the game was rigged from the get go. Because he was never going to know, never going to figure out what his once partner was hiding.
And have his kill stolen long before the deadline.
Because Bsd Akutagawa kept his word so strongly not even death could take it from him. While Beast Dazai never intended to keep his.
In the end it was just another lie to him.
But to Beast Chuuya it was everything.

I need to know when this was created and if it is official because if it is and was created after the Meursault arc, there might be a good chance that Dazai may canoniclly get a cane.

"So, where did you go yesterday?" Chuuya asked through crunches as he ate some cereal. He looked up at the brunette across the small table from him, who began to grin. "Dazai?"
"Hehe, don't worry about it." Dazai continued to curl his lips as he took a bite out of a piece of toast.
"That's only making me worry about it more. Please, where were you?" Chuuya whined. He put his spoon down to look at Dazai, now getting concerned as well as annoyed.
"It top secret Chuu-Chuu!" Dazai yelled as he dramatically grabbed the butter knife and held it in the air as if to prove a point.
"Don't call me that and answer my question, jackass."
Dazai dramatically gasped. "My heart! I've been wounded! How could you call me such a foul name!" Dazai grabbed his chest as he flopped back in his chair, and Chuuya did everything he could to keep himself from slamming his own face onto the table and into his food, he had just gotten out of the shower after all.
"Damn it Dazai, just tell me." Chuuya said with a sigh as he rubbed his temples, and wondered how the hell he fell for someone like Dazai.
"Fine fine." Dazai said as he calmly sat back down like a normal person, putting the jam covered toast down on the elegant plate in front of him. "I was doing some research." Chuuya raised a suspicious eyebrow and questioned, "About...?"
Dazai then dramatically threw his arms in the air as if what we was about to say was the best, most revelitional thing ever. "I wanted to find a way to make my Chuu-Chuu happy! And I found it!"
Chuuya sat up straight and looked at Dazai attentively, now more curious and slightly confused than anything. He knew the younger man wouldn't stop with the nickname, and that wasn't the battle he was choosing to fight at this moment. "Go on...." He prompted tentatively.
"One moment!" Dazai sang as he got up and went to the fridge, leaving Chuuya unable to see what he was doing behind the silver insulated refrigerator door, but he didn't take long. As he walked back to the small table, he held whatever he grabbed behind his back, and as his wicked grin grew, so did Chuuya's suspicion. "This!" Dazai said as he slammed the milk carton he was hiding behind his back down on the table. "If my Chibi drink's some of this every day, he'll get taller, and he'll be happier!"
Chuuya's aura grew dark as he slowly stood up, his piercing blue eyes downcast and hidden from sight. His silk purple robe began to float slightly with a scarlet hue as he activated his ability. The spoon in his hand snapped in half with a grudge before it flew towards Dazai with such force, that after Dazai smoothly dodged it, it stuck at least half way into the wall. "You little shit!" The redhead snarled through gritted teeth as he threw the milk at Dazai, and again Dazai dodged and it, making a mess on Chuuya's sparkling kitchen floor.
The brunette began running to avoid Chuuya's wrath, laughing all the while. "Haha, no~ you're the little one! AHH- ANGRY CHIBI!"
"GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE!!" Chuuya screamed full of rage, while arming himself with more food floating behind him like bullets aimed directly at the cackling brunette as he ran around, dodging the oncoming assault of dairy, grain, and produce based bullet hell attacks.
A = Dazai
B = Chuuya
Person A: "I hate you."
Person B: "Did you really break into my house just to say that."

~summary~
"What is love, and how do you get rid of it?"
Dazai doesn't typically feel any emotions, at all- or at least he can't understand them. He hates that Chuuya makes him feel emotions, specifically the emotion of love, so he in turn despises Chuuya for it instead.
And it's driving him crazy.
"I won't let you get away this time."
Chuuya is doing his best to get over Dazai, but as usual, nothing goes according to plan for him. No matter how much Chuuya tries to deny it or change them, he can't get rid of his feelings.
So he finally does something different about it.
Or:
Dazai struggles with the concept of love, and his past catches up with him from how he chooses to deal with experiencing feelings and things he thinks he doesn't deserve as someone outside of humanity; and he makes it everyone's problem.
