Cale Henituse survived an abusive household, a terrible orphanage, an apocalypse, monsters, several wars, gods messing with his life and dragons, alternate universe but if you ask him what is the scariest thing for him, he'll probably answer Ron.

You know what? I love this. I hope that the writers put that amount of thought into the show and the characters.

It also occurs to me quite suddenly that a future Batman writer is going to have Batwheels as their first introduction to the characters. That is going to be interesting...

Well, I didn't expect Batwheels to reveal that Penguin is apparently a singer. Or that he got music lessons as a kid and has this weird proclivity for liking music. But I guess it makes sense. It's a fun thing for the kids, but it also makes some sense for The Penguin. For one thing, music is sometimes seen as an upper class thing. Look at opera and everything. But also: a lot of Penguin's actors have been singers. Paul Williams had a whole career in that. Jess Harnell and Tom Kenny don't do music for a living, but they can sing if a show requires them to, Danny DeVito did a song for Disney's Hercules, etc. So it makes some small amount of sense, I suppose.

Imagine birthdays being quite an uneventful for you. Sure you love celebrating birthdays when it comes to your dearest friends but it was just that your own birthday was never your thing and probably would never be. It was just the same old day and the more that you get older, the less exciting it has become. It makes you wonder when did you started getting unexcited about it, just treating it like any other day.

Imagine today just happened to be that day, the day that you were born, one you did not ask to- but sure, happy birthday self, you thought as you close the door behind you. Taking a quick shower after work and changing into your comfortable clothes, a piece of tower hanging on your shoulder as you grab a couple cans of beer in the refrigerator before going inside your room.

Imagine, birthdays were troublesome. Specially when you have no plans to joyfully celebrate it but as you walk on the balcony of your room, stepping out only to be greeted by a cold breeze as you step out causing you to rub your arm with your free hand as a small smile creeps into your face. You then gently place the can of beers into the small coffee table on the balcony before sitting down on the chair beside it before looking beyond the horizon. "This is nice."

Imagine looking at the sunset as it disappears from the horizon. Its colors reflecting all over the city and its skyscraper as you stare at it in awe. You have not seen such scene once in a while. Making you wonder when was theblast time you have seen such thing. Makes you wonder when did you ever stop to look at the sky to see such wonderful scene. It happeneds every day yet it feels like you rately have seen it. Growing up means losing time, the more you focus on something else the more you seemed to have forgotten the little things. Maybe it was not so bad to take a break once in a while. Just like today.

Imagine finishing your beers as time by, the sun have already set in the horizon as the sky darkens and the stars start to appear as well as the moon, giving light into the city night. It was almost time for you to get up and take a break when you heard someone humming, taking on your way from the inside as you slightly panicked. Until you heard a familiar voice coming from the inside.

"Happy birthday to you..." your jaw almost dropped as you could not help but to look at him with wide eyes. He was not supposed to be in here. "Happy birthday to you..." Yet there he was cake in hand, candles lit up waiting for you to blow it with a wish- if the breeze would not beat you into doing so. "Happy birthday dear (First name)..." He then looks at you with a cheeky smile on his lips. "Happy birthday to you." He finishes, kneeling in front of you with cake in hand within your reach.

Imagine the way you blink, look down in the cake with a melting candle before you blink again, then you make a wish, blow the candle before poking and scooping a little bit on your finger and tasting it. This time he was the one looking at you with wide eyes. "You're not surprised?" He asked, slightly offended that his plan did not seem to surprised you at all but you do. You did not expect him to barge into your apartment and make such last minute appearance. And then you chuckle which eventually turn into full blown laughter.

"I am." You giggle, brushing off some tears on your eyes before cupping his cheeks. "Thank you very much love." You said affectionately which almost made him drop the cake he was holding nevertheless was about to put it into the coffee table before anything else. "I mean it, really." In the eyes of others it may not be that obvious, but the way his eyes brighten upon hearing your word. Maybe spending your birthday with someone would not be so bad as you thought it would be or maybe because it was him that you would not mind celebrating yor birthday for once in a while.

I agree with this especially the shen jiu one. Don't get me wrong what shen jiu went through is horrifying! (And sometimes I feel like the fandom really doesn't take the stuff he went through srsly but that's a story for another day) but we have to remember that traumatic past DOES NOT EQUAL a justification to abuse!! Like what binghe went through was traumatising I feel like people forget that the tea incident was not the worst thing shen jiu put him through, by the time shen Yuan had transmigrated this child had been whipped, forced to kneel infront of the gates for who knows how long, bullied physically and verbally by this peers, Shen Jius past is an explanation to his behaviour. Not an excuse. I repeat.

(Actually I feel like this isn't just a svsss fan issue but a mxtx one in general Jc fans also have this mentality of "Oh he had a sad backstory! That's why he did all that he did!")

I can't lie, Shen Yuan and Shen Jiu.

Now before you crucify me and say "oh but you like LQG and he's an ass" HEAR ME OUT🤚

I feel like the "everyone loves shen yuan he can do no wrong" is a little annoying and SOME of the fanfics I've read or the art I've seen have just reduced him to a damsel in distress or babyified him and I am mad because his canon self is so funny (exhibit A, how he acts in the donghua)

also he's kinda annoying in those fics too and mfs tend to over feminized him when that is a fully able bodied grown man with a job (several of my blood vessels explode violently when someone calls shen jiu mamajiu cause brother eughhh)

as for Shen Jiu, I just think the glaze for him is insane and I cannot get over the fact that this guy is a voluntary abuser to basically an innocent child and his fans (SOME FANS BTW SOME FANS THE NORMAL ONES R FINE) are like "he did no wrong!" "He's just a diva!" "that's just a skill issue on lbh's part" just cause his backstory is tragic, some even outright excusing it cause he technically suffered more like erm💀 (i also know this is old discourse within the community but this is my opinion, you asked so you will hear what I say)

The thing is about these characterizations with the Shens is was that it funny at first but now I find it so annoying and SJ's characterization into some tsundere bottom made me cry real manly tears

My main point: I liked SQQ first, he was my fave when I was first dabbling into the fandom, but then I made the mistake of picking up fanfiction and now either feel indifferent to them or outright annoyed when they show up AND IT'S SO SAD BECAUSE THEY'RE GENUINELY SUPER INTRESTING CHARACTERS UGH

A few variants of Guinevere's name and my thoughts on them:

Velivera--sounds like you'd put it in a soap, but still mellifluous.

Jennifer--the name of half the women of my mother's generation; sounds less epic than it might once have because it's used too frequently.

Guanhamara--pretty, if a little difficult; reminds me of the character from Chronicles of the Red King.

Gwenhwyfar--the Welsh option, one of the classics.

Vanora--sounds like a pretty normal fantasy name; does not sound like Guinevere.

Ginevra--also sounds fairly normal; a little more recognizable.

Guendoloena--and her less assuming relative Gwendolen; this is also Merlin's wife's name (Geoffrey of Monmouth thought it was a good wife name, apparently).

Gaynour--I like the sound, but it would be mocked mercilessly in a modern middle school.

Guilalmier--I like it. Not as classic, maybe, but charming enough.

Wenneuereia--"Can you spell that one more time, please?" I had to check Wikipedia for the spelling of this one.

Ntzenebra--from The Old Knight, the only surviving Arthurian romance in Greek. Very cool.

G(ui/we)n(n)(i)ev(i)(e)r(e)--the closest thing we have to a standard formula of the name is this. You can add some letters or you can take away some letters, and the vibes will change, but it will still be the same in essence and pretty recognizable, unlike...

Winlogee--the coup de grâce. My feelings on this one are complicated, but I feel it can speak for itself.
