That guy scares me, but I love him (look at him, he doesn't have a single braincell)
i cannot keep this jailed in my head any longer okay. I firmly believe the hollow knight has never and will never use a contraction in their life and what I mean by that:
like Ghost? absolutely. despite their very stoic nature they're out here spiting their 'purpose' as a empty vessel by speaking (however they might) in the most slurred, disjointed, vulgar way they can manage and they take great delight in it.
But I just KNOW in my heart of hearts that Hollow is the most pretentious, archaic guy out there. once you get past all the trauma and horror and pain and their siblings finally pull a coherent sentence out of them--like Ghost and Hornet are expecting their questions of "how do you feel what do you want" answered with, like, "I'm sort of fine I just want to rest" NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT.
Hollow is going to hit them with thee thou and thy, okay. They were "raised" (loose!! Loose term, pale king my reluctant beloved) by an ancient wyrm-turned-king, okay. "Are you okay" is going to get the answer of "thy fears art wasted, siblings mine, on a vessel so impure and broken as I."
OKAY 😭 okay? I just need anyone to feel me. Like do you feel me? Hollow deserves to be a little pretentious. I want to read it so bad

Одна из моих версий того, как именно возник Путь Боли:
Перед смертю, Бледный решает скрыть - своё самое ценное и приступное воспоминание. Запечатывает его Печатью Единства. Но нельзя создать "абсолютный замок", всё равно найдётся лазейка... Король это уже понял. Потму, силой мысли (это ведь искуственные и подконрольне ему Грёзы, потому да) он создаёть множество преград, отделяющих это воспоминане от желающих узнать секрет. Сам оставляет эту лазейку, превратив её в испытание, суть которого изложена на скрежали в начале пути *Лишь те, кто превозможет ужастные муки, смогут узреть секркт, скрытый за печатями.* Думаю это может означать, что только тот кто прочуствует "физически" ту боль что он ощющял морально (не отступится и не сламается при этом) - будет достоин увидет тайное воспоминане. И возможно, сможет в какой-то степени его понять.

figured id drawn little ghost in all four of my last hk drawings, so i thought id leave them out this time.. why not draw little hornet, instead? and i wanted to give pale king a go again, too, so heres the result! white palace cyme out looking a little blue, but oh well. am pretty proud of it still! hope this one brightens yall's day a little c:
week 38, very late! agh! but im keeping up with the streak another week- wont be stopped so easily. today's piece took about four hours- took me a while to figure out how to draw bb hornet, and to figure out how to shade pk's cloak.. not the most proud of that, but it is what it is. thank you for checking out my work! hope you have a wonderful week <3

BEWARE! The Pale King is kidnapping children!
I've been thinking about making little dreamers for a while now because they're cute and I'm unemployed. Herrah is an extremely biting, evil and cute little spider (it's passed down genetically), Monomon is a funny ball that flies and glows, and Lurien is just constantly worried (a funny little man).
The White Lady is thinking of beating her husband because he is ruining their reputation in the kingdom.
Lurien actually enjoys spending time with Hornet. She is actually a much calmer child when her mother is away.
Also, there have been a lot of people here lately. English is not my native language, so I apologize for any mistakes :)
Oh my god, the previous post got a lot of likes. But I like drawing something funny rather than depressing ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ

Actually I think I do want to ramble a little more on the subject.
While I do love making buzzsaw jokes (especially after completing Path of Pain, like, the fuck?) I do also think the layout of the Dream White Palace wasn't intentional. If he did it after that horrible cry came out of the Black Egg temple the first time when Holly was starting to crack, he must've been in a fucking state.
Like imagine you convinced yourself that what you're doing is for the greater good, that this being that you do love (even if you're denying it to yourself) that you thought was emotionless, a blank slate, only does as is told, has no hopes, thoughts, aspirations, merely exists, suddenly with one cry proves you wrong.
Just imagine that horrible realization that you were wrong about them (you always were, you ignored all of the signs they were alive) and you damned them to a fate worse than death. Eternal imprisonment sucks too, but since they're an unfeeling creature, it's fine, right? Nope. Definitely not. It was not fine, even if they were an unfeeling creature, but now it's even worse because the infection is eating at them now.
All of those children left to die in the abyss? That all happened for nothing.
Those dreamers you made to sacrifice themselves to keep people out? They're now the only thing holding the vessel inside of their prison but they sure as hell are not containing the infection. That too was all for naught. Your daughter lost her mother for no reason.
You did this all to save so many people, your entire kingdom of Hallownest. You choked down the guilt of your decisions because it would save the kingdom. Now you find out it was for nothing.
I think anyone would break, and break the King did.
By that point, there was no one left to stop his spiral. The White Lady was gone, most of the knights too, his council, everyone. No one was left to stop him from making extremely irrational decisions, including putting his palace into the dream realm to flee from the infection along with anyone inside. As he runs into his throne, trying to somehow run from the guilt, the grief, the horror, the palace twists. It becomes extremely hard to follow him, almost impossible. He makes it to the throne, the Kingsmoulds loyally guarding the outside...
It's there he breaks. He spirals. He falls into a deep despair.
I personally think the Pale King died of grief, and with that death, left his surviving children the monumental task of cleaning up the mess left behind.
