I was always really interested in literature since I was a kid. And one of the first things I tried to read was Crime and Punishment, but I got bored of it and gave it up after thirty pages. I didn't like it at all (same with a lot of books similar to that). I can't explain it but I just don't like a lot of classics, they may be well written but I don't vibe with them you know. I have decided to pick up Dostoevsky again and when my dad asked what to get me for my birthday, I told him to give me a hardcover of Crime and Punishment.
And now he thinks I am starting to like Classics, particularly Dostoevsky and he is really hyped about it.
How do I tell my dad that I am reading Dostoevsky's books to understand the backstory, ability and make predictions about an anemic rat from Bungou stray dogs.
(I am gonna read Crime and Punishment while listening to "Bernadette" by IAMX on the loop. The Fyolai nation weeps)
Headcanon (spoilers S5!!!): The reason we don't see Dazai being suicidal (I don't remember a single suicide joke in S5) anymore is because during his time in prison he had therapy sessions with Fyodor and started to change for better. That is why he says to Fyodor "You can't kill me" because he doesn't want to die anymore. It's Dazai showing his appreciation for the therapy sessions by killing Fyodor. What a wonderful friendship.
tried to challenge myself with weird ahh face perspective + hands and unfortunately fyodor had to suffer because of it (og under cut)
so I was reading through the fluffcember blog's prompt list and saw 'fire and ice' and OH MY GOD.
does anyone know that fire and ice poem by Robert Frost? im imagining fyodor having a discussion related to this with (insert character, literally can be any. Nikolai, dazai, maybe even fukuchi) and it basically being a character study about him and how he views the world
this is so niche I really doubt anyone knows what im talking about but PLEASE if anyone wants to write this im begging!!
day at the museum
insp. // it’s so fyodor coded i had to draw it
it was funnier in my head
