Your personal Tumblr journey starts here
(Audrey Art part 1.) I have my own AU Audrey/Audrey OC for my "Once-ler-pon A Time" fic now and this is her and I love her. This is Audrey Flowers and she's 20! Click "Keep Reading" to hear all about her!!!
My Audrey seems very serious and somewhat closed off before you properly meet her, partly because her parents are very critical of her and judgemental and because she's constantly been picked on by classmates. But also because the destruction of nature and beginning of O'Hare's dictatorship started when she was a teenager so she was forced to grow up too fast and become pessimistic and sad.
But once you get to know my Audrey and she trusts you, she will love you and trust you deeply forever. Once she trusts you she's very very silly and playful and totally embraces her inner child around you. She will constantly do silly things.
She's also extremely gentle and polite, even before she knows or trusts anybody, but if she senses injustice she is fierce and fights back. She's extremely protective over her loved ones and has strong morals.
She's also very artistic, mostly liking painting and dancing. She finds painting is the only way she can truly express herself and her inner child without her parents or strangers judging.
One day Audrey gets tired of living in Thneedville and trying to be a "perfect, lady-like young woman" for her parents so she sneaks out of town and while aimlessly exploring she comes across the Once-ler who's been isolated for a few years and is an emotional mess. She hates him at first when she realized what he's done and who he is, but she soon comes to understand why he did what he did and realizes he actually has a pure heart and feels like a scared little kid who grew up too fast just like her (And he has mama issues just like her). They end up becoming best friends with a sibling-like bond and I love them. (My Audrey is actually partly inspired by my best friend Monique as my Once-ler is partly based off me xD)
I'm sorry, this couldn't be stopped. I got the idea in my head and it had to come out. This little comic was based on a conversation that me and a good friend had.
Red fish, blue fish

Thank you and good luck! It's quite fun trying to make a fluffy ball out of solid cubes.
I was wondering why in The Lorax, Thneedville’s trees are modelled after trees that you would see in our world. As you can see in exhibit a:
Because trees in the area didn’t look like that. They looked like this:
And i mean, i get why it’s like that from a film-making point of view. Most people watching that movie probably had no clue what trees in that universe looked like, so the creators had to model them after irl trees. But i’m thinking from a canonical point of view. Wouldn’t the trees be modelled after the truffula trees?
Which lead me to thinking that maybe trees only look like that in Thneedville’s area, and that for some reason the citizens are modelling them after trees from somewhere else. But that still doesn’t make much sense.
It's a good question! 🤔🤔🤔🤔 I also was thinking about the difference while build truffula trees and "regular" trees in minecraft

If Halloween night is Grinch night then Witchcraft is Grinchcraft ... nah just kidding XD
I did this for a theory video I reblogged last time here on tumblr.
characters belong to Dr Seuss
Here I am with my toon fusions again. I tried to fuse Guy Am I, and Sam I Am from the Netflix adaptation of Dr Seuss' green eggs and ham don't know how to name the fusion but it looks like it's their first time fusing
Sam I Am and Guy Am I belong to Dr Seuss
the Netflix adaptation belongs to Warner Bros Animation
Shout out to Universal for 1. Having a police car in Simson world. The little kids climbing and bing on the car is great, teaching them ACAB early. 2. The pan flag in Seuss land, iconic. 3. The logo for the new epic land looking like the EPIC wisdom saga album cover.
omigosh! I have been noticed
like-luke-likes every time I see your URL this is what I think of

I still think they could have given us a nicer translated version, and although I hate to admit it, the translation of his name in portuguese from portugal was a little better 💔 but wahh, it's still a win that we had galvan to dub him! I absolutely love his voice in the onceler, and I think it suits our greedie quite well !
(I love that umavezildo guy, I wish he was real /j)
In the brazillian portuguese dub of The Lorax, Onceler's name is translated to "Umavezildo".
Everybody knows that "Onceler" comes from the saying "once upon a time", because he tells a story. So he's someone who tells a story, thus he's the Once-ler. Many jobs and professions end with "er" because it defines someone who does a certain thing.
But in brazillian portuguese his name "Umavezildo" comes from the brazillian portuguese translation of "once upon a time" and it's said "era uma vez": "Uma-Vez-Zildo". What's funny is that the literal translation of this name to english would be something like "once upon a Zildo". In our BR portuguese, we use "zildo" or "ildo" in the end of a word when we want to mock someone, like if a person is boring, we will call them just boring but there are times we will say like "boringzildo" to mock (Chato (boring) = Chatonildo (boring but like mr boring)). There's a clear difference from when you're just calling a person by the word and when you're ending the word with "ildo/zildo". It's a funny mocking by the way, nothing actually offensive. It's like instead of just saying "you're boring!" you're saying "you're mr. boring!" "you're sir boring!". This is what the "Zildo" part of the word means, it makes the word a name; not actually like "mr" or "sir" but like it turns into a name, into a someone. The word itself "Zildo" is an actual name that exists so I believe it comes from that.
The translation of the word "Umavezildo" to english, after having this knowledge, would sound like "The 'once-upon' dude" "once-upon guy". It's not like a role/profession like the original english word "Once-ler", or else it would be like "Umavez-or" or "Umavezador" (like the words "contador (accountant), atuador (actuator), educador (educator)) , he's the "Once-Upon GUY". He's UMA-VEZ-ZILDO.
His mom doesn't call him "Oncie" in brazillian portuguese, she calls him "Zildo", or "Zildinho" (diminutive or affectionate and adorable way of referring to someone like "little Zildo"). Which is funny, because cutting the "Uma-Vez" part of his name, turns it into a normal masculine name a guy would have: Zildo.
Edit: I made a small research and discovered that the meaning of the name Zildo is "shadow" or "the winner"/"the victorious". This is from those websites that tells people the meaning of their names. The meaning of the word was already explained by me.
In the brazillian portuguese version of the Seuss book that I own "O Lórax" (the 2012 movie is called "O Lorax" without the accent), Onceler's name is "Erumavez" (from "Era Uma Vez"). The book calls the Thneeds by the word "Não-Cessidade" which is a pun with the words "não" (no) and "necessidade"(need). So the Thneed is called "No-Need". But in the movie they still have the original Thneed name with no translation or change.
My version of the book was printed in 2022 so the translation wasn't based on the translation of the movie.
Everybody here has watched The Lorax at some point at school and our "How Bad Can I Be" is actually translated to "Am I That Bad?". We love the dub of the song. It's a classic.
@aikoidiota we love our brazillian Zildinho.
I might be focused on doing video edits 😭😭
(don't repost)
Dr. Seuss was not even in the general area of fucking around.
don't cry because it's over. smile because it happened.

Some Random Cover’s From The 1920s and 1930s from the Humor magazine JUDGE we have some pretty nice talents here including Dr.Seuss,E.Simmons Campbell,Rea Irvin(I think)and Vernon Grant. As well as some lesser known but equally great cartoonist that I unfortunately don’t have much info on.These cover’a are drawn nicely makes me long for the days you could get work as an artist by doing stuff like magazine covers and cartoons.
Please leave a comment if you can and let me know how you feel about this rewrite now that it's about to end. It's one of the first fanfictions I worked really hard on finishing, so I'd really appreciate knowing what people think! Thank you so much if you've made it this far. I'm so happy I finally finished it (and am posting the last chapter next week), because for longest time I'd see people say they were going to rewrite this movie and never doing it. But now it exists! And it fixes and includes all the main things people always talked about for over a decade. I hope I've done some service to the world by getting it out.
