🌛𝑾𝒊𝒕𝒄𝒉𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝑰 𝒅𝒐, 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒅𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒐𝒓 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒅𝒐 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒎𝒚 𝒃𝒂𝒃𝒚: 𝑨 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒅.🌜
Before she was born, I created a special altar box that consisted of her scan pictures, hand written notes on everything I wished for her ie: to always know she was loved, to be confident and kind etc, crystals to strengthen our bond, mementos from me and my partner etc etc
I also created a protection spell bottle for her and 3 hours later we were rushed into hospital because of a really traumatic labour emergency and she was born safely, exactly 8 hours after creating the protection jar.
I charge her bottles around my crystals after they've been sterilised, I have a very large piece of rose quartz that I visualise infusing her bottles with extra love.
I smoke cleansed her room thoroughly before I gave birth, to ensure her room didn't have any left over negative energy from the people who used it before her.
I trace 'sleep safe and sound' sigils on her face as she drifts to sleep.
I use a baby safe lavender scented pillow spray that has also been charged with rose quartz in her crib to protect her and ensure she has peaceful dreams.
We use lavender, vegan and cruelty free baby body wash and shampoo to promote good sleep.
I stir her porridge clockwise every morning to attract good luck and happiness.
I am in the process of transferring over some of my grimoire and book of shadows pages into a beautiful grimoire to hand down to her when she is older and if she follows my path.
I am creating new traditions and routines for each Sabbat and Esbat that she can join in with me when she is a little bit older.
I will be creating a blessing for her bedroom to banish negativity and bad dreams.
I provide her with plenty of healthy baby foods for lunch with different herbs and ingredients that correspond with the intent of the day. Of course I stir anticlockwise to banish negativity and bad moods if she's particularly grumpy or fussy, and then clockwise to promote happiness and a positive mood for the rest of the day.
I recycle all her baby food jars and use them to store herbs, potions and spells. (It's a very good budget friendly alternative to pricey glass bottles that are often far too small for my personal liking.)
And of course, I gave her a Witchy name that truly suits her beauty.
Of course I will incorporate so much more into her daily life as she gets older as my partner is super supportive despite not practising my beliefs, but these are what I can do now at least.
Thank you for reading. 🌛🌝🌜
it’s that time of year again
misconceptions about witchcraft
When you hear of witches a green old lady may pop into your head because it’s what you’ve heard and all you’ve ever known. Throughout history the practice of witchcraft has been condemned and made to look evil in the public eye. “The traditions of green witches' faces and flying brooms during Halloween originate in the physical punishment and and drug effects suffered by the women of Salem in the 1600s. Most of these women and teenage girls who were accused of witchcraft had only discovered the medicinal properties of native plants and kitchen herbs. A few likely suffered mental conditions like postpartum depression and a psychosis associated with it, along with symptoms of using hallucinogenic plant extracts. Comic and graphic novels use a green face to indicate nausea and expected vomiting, or deadly radiation exposure. A green witch face is doubly ugly, because of the warts, a hook nose, chin hair, and bad teeth; but, it is based on stories of torture. Historians trace the green to the Spanish Inquisition (1478–1834) and the harsh punishment of alleged witches. Green hallucinogenic ointments were also present during Inquisition years, as mentioned above. American researchers trace the green face to the Salem Witch Trial punishments that caused gangrenous skin, infections, burning deaths, and other damaging actions. Many faces did turn green with infection and bruising.” -Hollidappy.com
Which takes me into our first misconception:
Witches do not fly on brooms. But brooms do okay a roll in the Craft as a tool used to “sweep” away negative energies, often before a spiritual activity.
Cauldrons are much smaller than portrayed in hollywood, typically small enough to fit in one hand. They’re used simply to hold a burning substance in a safe way.
Note: Yes wands are a thing too. But they do not really do any of the things you might expect. It’s but a tool for projecting/directing visualized energy and symbolizing different things in accordance to what you are doing. It can also be used to cast a circle among other things.
Contrary to popular belief, the word “witch” is gender neutral and male witches rarely refer to themselves as warlocks. In fact, many witches consider “warlock” to be a derogatory term. The word Witch simply means one who practices witchcraft. Something to note along with this is that Witches and Wiccans are NOT the same. A wiccan is a Pagan who Practices the craft. There will be more information when i post Misconceptions about Wicca.
The Greeks thought of the pentacle as a symbol of perfection. The Catholic Church used to predominantly up to 500 years after Jesus‘s death. To the Pagans it was and is the five elements. The Catholics thought of it as a representation of Jesus with his five wounds.
In 1855 French Catholic Alphonse Lewis was kicked out of the church for his interest in magic. He changed his name to Éliphas Levi and wrote books, one of which is called Transcendenta Magic and states “ A reverse pentagram with two points projecting upwards is a symbol of evil in the track sinister forces“ explanation: the top point of the pentagram symbolizes the divine, so to put that under all of the other elements by flipping it would be saying it comes last. this was the first document a time where the inverted pentacle was linked to evil. but the people didn’t fear it until the mid-20th-century on Anton LaVey established the church of Satan in 1966. Although followers did not worship the devil and were simply atheists, the simultaneous spike in the occult/use of the upside down pentagram and serial killers triggered the satanic panic of the 70s through 80s. Media and other churches made it seem they were linked. books and documentations were released. all accusations for later discredited. What has been good can be twisted into something else, for instance- as much as i hate to say it, even the swagstista that used to have a more positive correspondence.
Obviously no, witches do not sacrifice animals and humans. Most are very nature oriented and believe in pacifism.
And once again, being a witch simply means you practice witchcraft. Of course there are going to be Satanists out there who practice witchcraft and therefore are witches, but being a Satanist and a Witch are not at all interchangeable or the same thing in any way.
No??? I mean ideally we like to create/write our own journal in which we put everything we learn and think of in regards to witchcraft. We call it our Book of Shadows and it’s highly personalized and depends and changes on every witch. It’s a recording of the witch’s journey. Trials and errors. Spells and charts. Thoughts and everything close to them in that subject. The only reasons one may not want to show it to you is that they don’t want the information in there to end up with someone who’s not gonna do it for good. Especially if you aren’t a fellow witch. Even if you are, it’s still very personal -many treat it as if it’s a diary, because it kind of is.
One of the main things to take away is that you can have your own strategies and routines. Make up your own songs. There are general do’s and donts out of common sense but really people just find their style and try to master it. It will take awhile and always always always do your research , especially before doing any spells, rituals or if the like. Another thing is... you don’t have to have a bunch of crystals and tools and a fabulous altar. A big aspect of witchcraft is its felxibility and you can start with whatever you may have. All you really need is yourself. Especially if you’re in the Broom Closet and need to keep what you do a secret, it’s totally okay to have the bare minimum or less. You don’t have to have it out in the open either. There are plenty of recourses out there to help you. Such a broad spectrum of doing things.
Some believe in magic to be spiritual power, while others believe that it is just as much of a force in the natural universe such as gravity or electricity. One popular notion is that magic does not violate the natural laws of the physical universe but simply a law in onto itself, and that magic is science that we can’t/don’t understand yet. from this perspective, magic is very similar to dark matter; we know it exists, but we just can’t quite tell what it is what it looks like… Witchcraft is the use of magic to achieve an end that cannot be easy through normal or mundane means.
Something i’m going to add is the reccomendation of looking into the Placebo effect. And that affirmations, visualization, manifestation etc may or may not be working because in believing in something so wholeheartedly it is perceived that your mind can trick itself into thinking it’s true. Mind of like when your mom tells you to stop telling yourself you’re gonna throw up cause then you actually will.
Magic vs Magick: “Magic” and “Magick” are two very different things, the most people would likely stumble if asked to explain how.
“Magic“ is the type of entertainment flogged by magicians (illusions like pulling rabbits out of hats)
“Magick” on the other hand, encompasses a series of techniques used to harness energy (both internal and external) to help change oneself and surroundings.
Some believe that there is a dark magick and light magick, while others believe that there is just magick. (imma quote my favorite witchy movie The Craft lol) “True magick is neither black nor white. It’s both because nature is both. Loving and cruel, all at the same time. The only good or bad is in the heart of the witch. Life keeps a balance on its own.”
This is just one example of a belief that is held in the community. Make no mistake, the pool of opinions is diverse -and the vast majority of us are okie dokie with this and actually even like it that way. It is also a commonality for supposed darker magick to be called the “Left hand path” and the lighter, more positive to be deemed the “Right hand path”. Light and Dark magick are determined by their effects, if they’re negative or positive, and if the magick is used against free will. There are of course better ways to categorize magick that i am unknowing of.
Being a witch simply means that you practice The Craft, and doesnt place any religious boundaries on you. There are Christian Witches, Hindu Witches, Athiest Witches and so on. A common belief for athiest witches would be that magick is simply a science or part of life that we don’t have the tools to understand yet. They wouldn’t believe in deities and if they did they would just think of them as personifications of nature. This is just one example of a spiritual path. Witchcraft has no bible and is extremely diverse and personified. You can make it whatever you want.
Three ways to believe in dieties (taken from Harmony Nice) are the following:
I see the gods and goddesses ask Jess personifications of nature themselves. Not a true being a person that exists or existed or exists in the sky – but human form of parts of the earth itself. It’s easier to connect with nature when you see it as a human form. Example: the Oak King is not a man in the sky that controls the oak, nor a man inside joke controlling the oak. Instead he is the oak represented as a man, he is the oak himself.
the dieties did actually exist but now they are deceased spirits and they are the ones calling out to us during reading. They had been people.
the dieties are a higher power and they are all around us.
Once again, it’s time for one of those posts that baby witches love to flock to in order to see what branches of witchcraft are out there that they can dive into. There’s no reason for me to make this post other than the fact I’ve always wanted to make one. In fact, sometimes I explicitly go into the tag just to see these sorts of posts for the nostalgia that they bring for when I discovered a witchcraft community on tumblr.
So for the baby witches out there looking to conduct their own research about the craft, here is another post you can look at to get a look at some notable branches of witchcraft. Just remember, there are numerous branches out there that are already established and that can be brought to light. So maybe if none of these sorts of branches call your interest, I would definitely suggest looking at your surroundings and the things you are drawn to and experimenting with them magically to see what correspondences they hold and using that for witchcraft.
If you find that popping popcorn helps you with spells, do it. Be the Popcorn Witch or Blacksmith Witch, you never thought possible. Just respect others crafts, research in depth what cultures are closed or semi-close or open, and have fun figuring your path out.
(Though keep in mind you don’t need to label yourself as a ‘type’ of witch, just do what feels right. Many witches, regardless of type, may use any method of casting their spells whether it be candles, crystals, or water they’ve collected so don’t feel that you need to limit yourself with your tools because of a path you may want to follow.)
This post includes small summaries about a small handful of particular paths, a handful of blogs in that path to check out, some 101 posts for those interested in a branch I mention, as well as some spells you may want to try out. So take your time and really look through a branch you may truly feel called towards.
Art Witch: A witch that uses art in their craft whether it be whether traditional or digital. They’ll utilize color correspondences, sigils, or what have you to get the job done in more visual spells. The medium the art witch chooses is irrelevant as long as it is art, this to me, can be interpretive to the individual. Personally I include writing as a form of art. So do with that, what you will! From what I’ve seen, some art witches will even have their sketchbooks act as a sort of grimoire or book of shadows. Art Witchcraft Blog(s): @artwitchpath, @modernwitchesdaily Art Witchcraft Post(s): Intro to Art Witchcraft, Art Witch Tip, Color Casting Notable Spell(s): Self Love Sigil, Health and Healing Sigil, Focus Sigil, Luck Sigil
Bath Witch: A witch that will utilize herbs, flowers, essential oils in a different way that burning something into a candle– the bath. These witches make a second home out of their shower, using the magical correspondences of certain material to manifest particular outcomes into their lives. Showers are also part of this sort of magic for those who aren’t fans of sitting in their tub and prefer to stand. Bath Witchcraft Blog(s): (While I was unable to find witches that went under a ‘bath witch’ title here are some witches who have talked about bath magic a good deal) @themanicnami, @orriculum Bath Witchcraft Post(s): Bath Witchcraft 101, Bath Bomb Magic, Shower Magic, Bath Magic Notable Spell(s): Rose Bath Spell, Lucky Waters Bath Spell, Sea Foam Latte, Kickstart My Heart Bath Spell
Cosmic Witch: A witch that utilizes and draws upon the energy of celestial bodies, including our sun, various moons, stars, galaxies, nebulae, and comets. You name it, they do it. Some cosmic witches in particular consistently rely on specific celestial bodies, for instance Pluto or Jupiter and may coin themselves with more specific titles such as ‘Plutonian Witch’ or ‘Jovian Witch’, etc. Cosmic Witchcraft Blogs: @lunaesteria, @phaesphore Cosmic Witchcraft Post(s): Cosmic Witchcraft Masterpost, Cosmic Witchcraft 101, Types of Cosmic Witches Notable Spell(s): Jupiter Self Love Spell, Quasar Banishing Spell, Neptunian Clairvoyance Spell, Shooting Star Hex
Death Witch: A witch that works with death. This path can include helping the deceased move on, finding power and acceptance in the inevitability of death. Instead of finding death the end of one’s life it can represent the end of many things in our lives from friendship to certain opportunities. This path can also include vulture culture, though that varies from witch to witch. Chthonic deity worship is often followed in this practice. Death Witchcraft Blog(s): @death-witch-envy, @chthonic-curiosities, @gravemire Death Witchcraft Post(s): Death Witchcraft 101, Graveyard Dirt Collecting, What Death Witchcraft Taught Me, Bone Correspondences Notable Spell(s): Relieving Grief Spell, Honor the Dead Spell, Pet Funerary Spell,
Divination Witch: A witch whose primary focus is divination. This doesn’t stop at just standard and mainstream divination such as tarot or pendulum. This can include any method in which a witch sees the possible futures around them. Divination can be done through many methods including throwing bones, birds, seashells, candle wax, leaves, clouds, and even pop culture methods. The possibilities are endless. Divination Witchcraft Blog(s): @witchservicesbymuriel Divination Witchcraft Post(s): Tarot Tips, Scrying 101, Augury 101, Pendulum 101, Unusual divination, Conchomancy/Seashell Divination, Cardcaptor Sakura Clow Cards
Dream Witch: A witch that works with the subconscious mind and prepares their spells to influence their dreams. Their spells can revolve around sending messages, lucid dreaming, as well divination in order to divine any signs their dreams may be telling them. Dream journaling is recommended often to those who wish to practice this path as remembering your dreams is quite a big part of it. Dream Witchcraft Blog(s): @sundreamous Dream Witchcraft Post(s): Putting Things Under Your Pillow, Dream Work Correspondence Masterpost, Lucid Dreaming Masterpost, How to Send Dreams Notable Spell(s): Love Advice Dream Spell, Remember Your Dreams Jar Spell, Sleep Protection Jar Spell, I Dream of my Past Life Sigil
Eclectic Witch: A witch whose path is an accumulation of various branches of witchcraft and as such, each eclectic witch is different. For instance a witch whose path is a mixture of cosmic, green, and pop culture magic versus an eclectic witch who uses technology and occasionally tosses something into a jar and uses game cards for spells. There is no real way to find bloggers or spells of this branch as it is one that is your very own. My suggestion for those who feel they may lean into an eclectic path, try out various branches of witchcraft and continue on with whatever calls to you.
Faerie Witch: A witch that works closely with the fae. This can include working with particular Courts, using certain fae magic such as glamours, and leaving offerings for the fae to connect with them and express gratitude for any help they may have given you in a spell. This is a particularly difficult branch of witchcraft as you must be very knowledgeable about dealing with the fae, fae etiquette, and avoiding them. There is a discrepancy in what sort of spirits constitute as fae as far as merfolk and elves being included between practitioners, I suggest asking the mermaid and elf themselves if they consider themselves a fae as some may and some may not. Fae Witchcraft Blog(s): @moon-lightfaerie Fae Witchcraft Post(s): Faerie Witchcraft 101, Signs of House Fae, Casting Glamours, Faerie Rings, My Fae Stories Notable Spell(s): Faerie Milk Bath, Faerieland Sigil, Fae Attraction Charm, Faeries Are Welcome Sigil
Green Witch: A witch who works closely with the earth and uses herbs and flowers to manifest outcomes. There are other sub-branches of this path such as a Floral Witch and Garden Witch, but the spells are all the same. These are witches who are in tune with their plants and the nature around them. Though it may look like it, not every green witch is born with a green thumb and there are plenty who developed one over time. Be careful with plant identification and edible plants, it’s greatly recommended to either grow your own organic plants or just buy herbs if you wish to do spellwork that includes consuming herbs. Green Witch Blog(s): @herbwicc, @sleepydryad Green Witchcraft Post(s): Flowers in Witchcraft, Green Correspondences, Biodegradable Planters, Green Witch Path, Green Witch Tip Notable Spell(s): Personal Growth Spell, My Garden Will Flourish Sigil, Calming Spell, Prosperity Poppet
Hedge Witch: A witch that works closely with spirits and “rides the hedge”, or as its often put, travels to liminal planes such as the astral. This is a path that is rather close to the green witch and traditional witch paths, often using herbs to help with meditation and hedge riding. This path requires patience as not everyone can freely and easily astral project or travel or hear the voices of non-physical entities. Hedge Witch Blog(s): @hedge-witchcraft, @todayinastralhistory Hedge Witchcraft Post(s): Liminal Spaces in Witchcraft, Co-existing with Local Spirits, House Rules, Warding 101 Notable Spell(s): Malignant Spirits Begone, Family/Loved Ones Protection Jar, Quick Protection Ward, Astral Safety Sigil
Kitchen Witch: A witch who uses their ingredients’ magical correspondences and cooks them to cast and manifest their spells. This can include the standard ingredients in their recipes or using additional herbs and spices for a kitchen witch spell. Should these witches celebrate the Sabbats, the harvest festivals are when they would shine. Kitchen Witch Blog(s): @kitchenwitchcraft. Kitchen Witchcraft Post(s): Taste Correspondences, Fruit Correspondences, Food Correspondences, Notable Spell(s): Grilled Cheese Spell, Luck and Love Bread Spell, Biscotti Heart Warming Spell, Spirit Soup, Prosperity Dutch Baby Spell
Love Witch: A witch whose magic focuses around love magic. This can include attracting love their way, self-love, platonic love, familial love, or even ending relationships. When it comes to this path, there is a general consensus against forcing one to love you or another person. If you’re going to practice love magic, focus on yourself or just raising the opportunity for you to meet someone you can start a romantic relationship with. Love Witch Blog(s): (couldn’t really find specific love witches) Love Witchcraft Post(s): Love Correspondences, Love Witch Self-Care Tip, Notable Spell(s): Begone Pining Spell, Tinder Matches Love Spell, Communication Emoji Spell, Lucky Love Charm, Self-Love Spell
Lunar Witch: A witch that follows a specific branch of witchcraft in correspondence to a moon and may typically practice spells at night. More often than not, our moon, but this includes the moons of other planets such as Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto, etc. Each phase of the moon in particular will have their own correspondences and as such, it’s important to plan ahead in your spells and track the moon to perform the spell you would like. Lunar Witch Blog(s): @lunaesteria Lunar Witchcraft Post(s): Moon Phase Correspondences, Making Moon Water, Plutonian Moon Magic Notable Spell(s): Moonbeam Ward, Over the Moon Love Spell, Good Luck Charm Spell, Waxing Crescent Jack O’ Lantern Prosperity Spell
Pop Culture Witch: A witch who draws inspiration from tv shows, books, anime, and movies for their spells. A spell based off of the Screaming Rick meme? This can happen in pop culture witchcraft. A glamour that makes you feel as gorgeous as your favorite character in Sailor Moon? This is possible in this branch of witchcraft. It has even gone so far as for some pc witches to find pop culture deities to worship and find guidance from. Pop Culture Witch Blog(s): @pop-witch, @themanicnami Pop Culture Witchcraft Post(s): Pop Culture Witchcraft Resources, Pokemon/Planet Correspondences, Pop Culture Witchcraft and Banishing, Pokemon Pop Culture Spirits Notable Spell(s): Sailor Jupiter Banishing Spell, Sailor Moon Glamour, Pepperup Potion, Irma W.I.T.C.H. Fog Calling Spell, TDP Past Life “Historia Viventem Spell”
Sea Witch: A witch who works with the ocean, drawing its energy and using its gifts to cast their magic. There are variants of the sea witch that work with water, but not directly with the sea (ex. ponds, lakes, rivers). Sea witches typically work closely with sea (and even lunar) deities and other spirits of the sea such as merfolk and faeries such as kelpies and selkies. Sea Witch Blog(s): @naomi121406, @mothmaam Sea Witchcraft Post(s): Intro to Sea Witchcraft, Landlocked Witch Tips, Water Correspondences, Sea Magic and the Tides, Sea Creature Correspondences Notable Spell(s): One Word Mermaid Spells, Beauty Sea Spell, Symbolic Sinking Spell, Sea Knot Wish Spell
Solar Witch: A witch, like the lunar witch, follows a specific branch of witchcraft in that they draw and utilize the energy of the sun for their spells. Typically, these witches cast their spells during the day when the sun is both present and at its strongest. Some solar witch activities include making sun water, sun tea, and charging stones. While the sun does not follow phases, there are different times of day best for certain magic and like how moon water takes the properties of the phase it was left out in, the same goes for sun water. For solar witches who wish to cast magic but its nighttime, they can draw energy from the stars as the sun is scientifically considered a star. Solar Witch Blog(s): @healing-sun-witch, @solarianwitch Solar Witchcraft Post(s): Sun Water, Sunrise Magic, Noontime Magic, Sunset Magic, Sun Tea Notable Spell(s): Solar Charged Heat Ward, Forever Sun-kissed Spell, Seeds of Happiness Spell, Glow like the Sun Spell
Tea Witch: A witch whose craft surrounds preparing drinks such as tea into magical creations. Choosing teas based off correspondence and even incorporating stirring motions to grant magical aid alongside herbs, edible flowers, honey, sugar, etc. Iced, Hot, Lukewarm, it’s up to the witch on how they prepare their witchy brews. Tea Witch Blog(s): @orriculum Tea Witchcraft Post(s): Teas That Aid Divination, Herbal Tea Correspondences, Fruit Tea Correspondences, Normal Tea Correspondences, Stirring Magic Notable Spell(s): Lunar Rose Milk Tea Self-Love Spell, Thunder Focus Spell, Daytime Witch Tea
Tech Witch: A witch that, unlike most, prefers to use technology quite heavily in their craft beyond constellation and moon apps. These witches typically use their laptops, computers, and phones in their spell. They may keep their BoS/Grimoires as apps and even go as far as to using code for sigils and color magic, emoji spells, scrying via their blacked out phone or laptop screens, or use their own WiFi routers as the wards that protect their home. There unfortunately isn’t many resources for this branch of witchcraft as readily as some other paths. Tech Witch Blog(s): @spellbookbitch Tech Witchcraft Post(s): Tech Witchcraft 101, Animal Crossing Witchcraft, Recommended Witchcraft Apps Notable Spell(s): Money Abundance Emoji Spell, Love Attraction Emoji Spell, Tech Witch Wishing Spell, Negative Thoughts Begone Emoji Spell
Weather Witch: A witch whose path is dictated by the weather as their spells resolve around it. From using storm water to give their spells an extra oomph or calling in a bigger chance for rain, these witches pay close attention to their weekly weather forecast. Some weather witches in particular will utilize and call upon particular weather patterns such as snow, rain, or storm and may label themselves as Snow Witches, Rain Witches, or Storm Witches specifically. Weather Witch Blog(s): @rainy-day-witchcraft Weather Witchcraft Post(s): Plants/Herbs in Weather Witchcraft, Weather Witch Tips, Weather Correspondences Notable Spell(s): Storm Calling Spell, Snow Calling Spell, Wind Charm, Storm Ward

For all of my witches out there that are artists or just love art of any kind, here are some things to consider adding to your craft.
Use vine or compressed charcoal dust to make black salt

Red liquid ink can substitute for blood
Black liquid ink is good for curses especially for blinding, confusion and chaos
Blue liquid ink can represent water or the ocean
Yellow liquid ink for divination
Green liquid ink for protection and healing spells
Enchant your calligraphy pens for sigil work to strengthen the sigils you make or spells you write with them

Melt crayons and mix with coconut oil and olive oil for anointing oil corresponding with the colors you use (also can be used as lipstick if desired)*
Use scrapbooking paper in your grimoire to give it unique and artsy pages
Use your paints to make painted spells. Make a sigil and paint it onto your page or canvas, and based on the sigil’s intent once dried paint over it an image that corresponds with that intent to activate. Hang up in your room or home. Cleanse and charge regularly
Glitter my witches, great for color magic and jar spells (note glitter is not good to be tossed into the environment so please don’t)
Write down a person or ‘force’ in your life you wish to remove and use erasers to erase it away as a simple severing spell

Buy chalkboard paint to turn a wall or other object into a chalkboard for sigil use, spell writing, organization, etc
Use those plastic reusable paint containers for small portable spell jars
Sharpies and black markers are good for curses in general
Use your color wheels for divination via colormancy
Use modeling clay or pottery clay to make your own offering bowls, statuettes and poppets for a variety of uses
For a quick and easy black mirror simply paint the back glass of a picture frame with black acrylic paint. It may take several layers
Reuse bottles and cans by painting them up to make them witchy containers for your tools, art supplies and other storage purposes
Make drawings, write poetry, write stories, make pottery, make a painting, etc to make as offerings to deities, fae, spirits, etc. Just be sure not to sign it if it is for fae (your name can give them power of you)
