now does akutagawa realize that it isn’t just his sacrifice that mattered to atsushi, but the loss of his life as well? that it isn’t only about what he could do with the final moments of his life, but about the void his death, his absence left? now that it has been reflected back to him by the very person he gave everything for—now that he has been given it all in return—does he realize that he might now feel what atsushi felt when he lost him? does he finally understand that his life is as important to atsushi as atsushi’s is to him?

Secretly married sskk pre canon would be hilarious just completely re-contextualize their ‘fights’ and ‘rivalry’ to Akutgawa just wanting his husband to stop doing obvi dangerous shit and getting kidnapped (he is a hypocrite) Atsushi didn’t know Akutgawa was apart of the mob until after he got a job at the ada bc he thought he was joking (bc who tf names their mob the Mob) they got married after knowing each other for three months and met because Akutgawa hit him with his car

They have healthiest relationship out of all of the bsd cast

Y'all know that emergency contact trend on YouTube with that "I'm just an ordinary girl" song? 😭 I was imagining if Atsushi did it, with Akutagawa as his emergency contact. The videos that do the trend show clips of whoever the emergency contact is doing silly stuff like "oh look at how unserious my emergency contact is" and then Atsushi would just be like "my emergency contact is blowing up a police station again<3" with the following clip

Friendly reminder of that time when Atsushi saved Akutagawa from dying by body slam/grabbing him and then Akutagawa proceeded to use Rashomon to keep Atsushi safe as they crashed through the window in each other's arms

this is a random ask but who do you think would fall for the other first, Akutagawa or Atsushi?

akutagawa would be the first to fall in love, but atsushi would be the first to realize that the feeling is love. like, akutagawa falls for atsushi pretty early in their knowing each other but doesn't realize it's love and doesn't come to terms with that for a while, and then atsushi starts to fall for him too and almost immidiately identifies it as a crush or maybe even being in love

OOOH. okay this is a fun one. I think that at first he'd have a gut reaction of terror and be really protective and try to talk atsushi out of being in a relationship with akutagawa. but after atsushi tells him about how he feels about akutagawa and why he loves him so much, kunikida would be more okay with it. probably would make a "if you harm him i will kill you" threat to akutagawa. over time I think he'd warm up to the idea of them dating and warm up to akutagawa. he's not disapproving or anything and he wants to see atsushi happy! he is going to act verrry protective though

A question, rid of doubt, Met a spirit most devout. “Just the two of us?” he pondered, Yet conviction never faltered.

A poem from Knight Akutagawa's POV, a dive through his mind and heart during the events of chapter 119 onward, until the post-credits scene of S5.

To rid the world of death and fear.

He strikes with newfound resolve,

For the sins of man to be absolved.

Until he hears a panicked voice,

Begging him to make a choice.

To save himself from slaughter

And protect his treasured daughter.

And his hand shall not be reckless,

If he wants to free the helpless.

But his prowess would be bested

By a creature most detested,

A mortal turned a god,

A truly wicked fraud.

In the vile vessel’s grasp,

With a faint and muted gasp,

He falls a pray to beast

Who’d relish in his feast

Of cursed souls, corrupt;

A pure world to construct.

A sudden slash would catch his eye,

The strangest phrase, perhaps a lie.

Sometimes I just love to read a happy sskk fic

Like, I love when their relationship is angsty or messy or complicated, because that is how it is! But sometimes the hurt gets too painful and I adore how tragic they are but I need happiness

Sskk may not be the softest ship, but it's so refreshing to just read a fic where things are...peaceful. There's no miscommunication, there's no death, there's no tears or despair. It's the aftermath, where Atsushi and Akutagawa have learned to love each other without fear

Where they're together and they're happy, where they can wake up next to each other and walk around the city together and give each other goodbye kisses that aren't actually goodbye

When everything's okay

And sometimes, things are so happy it makes you sad anyway. It makes you sad that Sskk is happy together because you know it isn't true, so while it soothes your soul with the fortune, it also reminds you of canon Sskk and how many doors that they can't walk through

I truly do love the heavy, angsty Sskk fics with all the heartbreak and anguish and forbidden, confusing love that they have with each other. But the fics where they're together, and they have sweet nothings shared between each other is also so wonderful, where things are soft and magical and it's all okay still have a place in my heart

I love the perspectives of their relationship from both sides
