He wasn't considering including matcha on the menu just for Jade. It just happened to be his idea and a good business move. Cater had told him that “matcha was trendy!”. Besides, Jade was handsome and an excellent example of a single father, something he'd gathered during their several conversations over the counter. It simply made sense to keep the duo around for the business and … well, himself. Not to mention that the idea of making the man happy also just happened to bring Trey a special sense of satisfaction.
