Eren rly said: ok sounds like a good plan
Isayama how dare you?
Ever since Hanji became the commander Levi called her by her name, now I noticed he's back to his old nickname for Hanji, "shitty four-glasses", right before Hanji's about to sacrifice herself for humanity đ˘

Eren Jaegerâs Final Words
So there are many people unimpressed with the final statement given by Erenâs character, either finding it inconsistent with the build up to this point, or too ambiguous a motivation for trampling all over the world. Iâm not really here to talk about the quality of the story, whether it was good or bad, because I donât really care. However, I think itâs fascinating what the text is trying to say about Erenâs character and his motivation.Â
This is why, âI donât know, shrugâ is both an answer and not an answer to why Eren did what he did in the end. For making my point in this analysis, Iâll be talking about Erenâs character from Marley on showing both the Eren that appeared before Reiner, the one that talked to Zeke, and finally the one Armin saw are all the same person.Â

she doesnât give a shit about Falco just at all
Eren wants to forget. Mikasa chooses to remember.
If Eren really did send all these alternative universe visions to Mikasa, he wants to turn her back so she wonât follow the same bloody path as him. Eren sees their desire to be together as selfish one, because instead of fighting alongside with others and doing something great, they are choosing to live a peaceful life in mountains.
Eren loves his friends, but he is ready to sacrifice his love and humanity for a greater good. He doesnât want them to remember him and bring them so much pain with his actions. He wants them to forget him so they wonât suffer as he did, when his close ones died.
But Mikasa sees it as the motivation to keep fighting and saving. She chooses to live so she will remember and the memory of her loved ones wonât die with her.
âOnce I'm dead, I won't even be able to remember you. So I'll win, no matter what. I'll live, no matter what!â
Actually, before I thought that it was either because of her triggered anxiety, when she loose people she loves or when Ymir/Eren changes something in the timeline, but now itâs because Eren sends her alt. visions that should stop her from following him, but she still continues to move forward and stay by his side. Since she chooses to remember, Mikasa is technically opposing him and when she does, Mikasa gets a headache.
Mikasaâs selfish desire to be close to Eren saved so many people from Yeagerists and titans. Mikasa could simply die back in time and let herself be eaten by a titan. But her desire to love and remember pushes her to fight and simply live. Because of her Gabi wasnât killed, Louise and her mom werenât eaten by a titan, Kiyomi and her people didnât die from hands of Yeagerists and much much more.
For Mikasa, love is a motivation. For Eren, love is a sacrifice.
Or, why I am pretty optimistic about the fates of Jean, Connie, Gabi, and all titanized people this chapter, which is also an excuse for me to talk about SnKâs allusions to Russian literature.Â
There are strikingly parallel ideas The Brothers Karamazov and Attack on Titan, as well as parallel plot points and imagery to the point where if it isnât deliberate, itâs uncanny. (NB: before people yell at me about comparing a Japanese and Russian work, Isayama has used Russian names since the start of SnKâShiganshina is a Russian name.) In particular, there are narrative allusions to a portion of the novel known as âThe Grand Inquisitor,â which is a short story within a novel. The central thesis of âThe Grand Inquisitorâ is as follows:Â
nothing has ever been more insupportable for a man and a human society than freedom.Â
This parable is told within the story by Ivan Karamazov, a character whose intellectuality is his gift and his curse. He tells his brother Alyosha that the motivation for creating this parable is precisely the evils done to children (oh look, a major SnK theme) and specifically cites an example which was unfortunately taken from real life in Russia and which Isayama has an uncanny parallel:
I want to see with my own eyes the hind lie down with the lion and the victim rise up and embrace his murderer. I want to be there when every one suddenly understands what it has all been for. All the religions of the world are built on this longing, and I am a believer. But then there are the children, and what am I to do about them? Thatâs a question I canât answer⌠If all must suffer to pay for the eternal harmony, what have children to do with it, tell me, please? ⌠if it is really true that they must share responsibility for all their fathersâ crimes, such a truth is not of this world and is beyond my comprehension. Some jester will say, perhaps, that the child would have grown up and have sinned, but you see he didnât grow up, he was torn to pieces by the dogs, at eight years oldâŚ

I normally am not crazy about anime original endings but I will accept this due to the fact her death was unnecessary.

Mikasa: Are you really going to make deals with this dick?!
Eren: Carefully, Mikasa he's my brother
Mikasa: He is a dick
Eren: Still...
So, the most exciting thing to me in this episode, was how Eren showed himself to public. Like, it was epic, but he didn't even kill a lot of people. He didn't kill Rainer and Falco only because it's pointless and there was door behind Falco, when Eren transformed, the building behind scene didn't crush and he probably didn't kill Will either, because Will is a titan and cannot be killed just like that. So the whole point of episode was just Eren being a huge DRAMA QUEEN
Every time I read this chaper, where Eren scares Rainer as hell, I`m thinking of Levi somewhere looking at this, wiping a tear and saying âthat`s my boyâ
To all the subjects of Ymir:
My name is Eren Jaeger. I am using the power of the founding titan to adress all of ymirâs subjects.
The hardening of all the walls present on Paradis island has come undone. And all titans entrapped within them hace started marching.Â
My objective is to protect the people of Paradis, the place where I was born and raised. However, the world wishes for the annihilation of the people of Paradis.Â
The hatred that has been swelling up for so long will certainly not end, until not just the paradisians, but all of Ymirâs subjects have been eliminated.Â
I reject this wish. The wall titans shall trample all earth outside of this island underfoot. Until all life existing there has been exterminated from this world.
