honestly, i think the best part of our plurality is the emotional bleedthrough we have. it happens more the stonger the emotions are and it feels exactly like im feeling my own emotions, but im not the source of it.

if one of us is feeling bad, like stressed, sad, anxious, whatever, well now the others know exactly how they feel and can help to comfort them so much better than they could otherwise, also its great to just feel them calm down as you help.

but its gets better, it happens with joy as well. it really is an amazing feeling just bounceing pure happiness off each other, and theres been a few times we've gotten into a bit of a feedback loop with it.

im not sure were we saw it but i remember seeing a quote along the lines of "shared pain is halved, shared joy is doubled" and thats exactly what is like.

we love being plural and wouldnt trade it for the world.

if i didnt have headmates then who would remind me i can take paracetamol to fix the headaches caused by my headmates?

about a month ago when i started to question if i was a part of a system i was really panicing about it and i remember thinking to myself "i could still repress this"

i know it probably wouldnt have worked, but even so im glad i didnt. im so very glad i didnt.

as weird and as difficult as plurality can be i like the others in here with me, i like the conversations we have and how we work together as team. i like being a part of a system.

One thing that might be helpful as an aid is a heated body pillow. They're about $100, but it can help to simulate hugging. The combination of that and a weighted blanket works particularly well. Cheaper option would be a heating pad & a regular pillow, you might already have those laying around. It won't be quite as nice, but it could still help.

Combining visualization (within a headspace situation) with hugging someone who is co-con can also work well. And combining all of these things can work *very* well.

How do I hug my headmates and have them actually feel it? They're cool and deserve hugs :]

Hello! I relate to this a lot,

Now I'm not familiar with stuff in headspace or an inner world as we don't really have one. However! I often will hug the body/ourselves, with the To Be Hugged in front or co-con with me, and that works. In fact, all physical affection we want to show to one another and feel it is through the body .. it's actually really comforting ^♡^

There are likely other ways, and this may not work for everyplural, but this is what we do! I hope they get their hugs <3

Nowah: It's me, my color is purple and I don't have so much to say about myself...

雨(Ame): Yeah... His name is a kanji (it means "rain" in japanese). He's a bit stressed and we all agree that he's a parasite. His color is dark blue and he's not a bad person, but is very common he talk being very dry... He's VERY tall.

Apollo: The newest one, he looks like a child but he's not that inocent. We think that he's a kind of sobrenatural creature but we're not sure, but he's very silly! His color is red.

Everyone have a blog, here is 雨 and Apollo's blogs. We use no color In our own blogs, but when we'll use the color, for example, if Apollo post in 雨's blog.

Someday I will draw everyone to show what we look like.

2 - Does the host have any other role

Well, we have multiple hosts, so if our permafronters count, then I’m the core/body (more used to core bc we’ve been using it for years), Leo is just a permafronter but sometimes he’s a caretaker when little are front, Reed is a permafronter and considers 🌾self a syskid [🐑’s 17 but considers 🪻self a kid], Kessler, whose role is a mystery even to us [we don’t even know if he’s a permafronter or not] and our current non-permafronter hosts [our hosts switch a lot] would be Victory, who’s a prosecutor, a (possible) anger holder, and a religious headmate, and Nathan, who’s an anxiety holder, and HABIT and RABBIT who aren’t comfy with me sharing their roles, but they have other roles.

Ough… not sure… we have a high headcount so it’s hard to tell but I think we have a large amount of anger and anxiety holders and quite a few syskids/littles.

20 - Do you have a system name and how did you decide on it

We have a system name! In short, it’s [currently] The Song, The Sea, and The Stars, or just Song Sea Stars if you wanna go even shorter, but our full name is kind of a scene? It’s The Old Song Still Echoes Through These Looping Halls. The Ocean Below Us is Silent and Dark. The Stars Outside Mock Us With Their Laughter.

The name came cause our old one was associated with bad memories (as it tends to be when we switch names) and it has some surface level meaning and some deeper meaning. Surface level, we like music, we like the ocean, we like space. I’m gonna dissect our full sys name and the references/meaning below

The Old Song - Bendy and The Ink Machine reference because it’s been a spinterest for years

Still Echoes - Echoey spaces are so yumby for us, also the barest hint of a reference to Dust and Echoes because Halo spin

Through these Looping Halls - Discreet reference to We Went Back, a kinda shitty horror game we’ve been autisming over since we found out about it (I’d ramble if anyone wanted to listen)

The Ocean Below Us - Thalassophobia/General ocean enjoying and also the thought of those glass bridges but above the ocean, we love the thought but we could never-

Is Silent and Dark - Nyctophobia mention also the idea of a calm sea still being too pitch dark to see into it. Also vaguely thinking about ink ocean because opaque, and the eeriness of an ocean or large body of water being still, the calm before the storm, the creeping dread that something is coming from underneath

The Stars Outside - Omfg I love space so much like space is so cool and it’s just ough /pos, also vague reference to We Went Back because it’s set inside a spaceship-esque thing and there are windows

We personally don’t have any alters that speak different languages. While collectively we know a bit of Spanish, there’s no one who speaks a different language exclusively, at least not that we know of! Who knows, haha. Thank you for the ask!

Yep! Only two as far as we’re aware, but they’re not exactly strange, especially since they were kind of in a situation ship in source.

Oh, definitely. I stare at Slay the Princess in horror.

Well, we have one person, but I don’t think they’d like to share it so I’ll just go for the next weirdest one. Collecting insect corpses and random rocks.

Yep! Involuntary and voluntarily!

The British one. Or the littles, but they mostly stay inside anyway so it’s not too big of a deal.

Depends on the alter, some find a name that feels right, some do extensive research to find something that matches them perfectly, some use a random name generator, some just come prepackaged.

Hm, off the top of my head, maybe two or three- but there’s probably more that I can’t think of.

Ooh, we’re really bad at this. We try our best, but when you can’t remember things and not all of your members are even aware you have simply plural, it gets a little tough.

Uhh, yep. We have a few emotion holders who do that- also some persecutors, littles, it varies. Nobody in specific.

Allowing them to state clear boundaries, get things that are comforting to them that are from source, or allowing them to branch out if they prefer not to identify as their source! Whatever they need, for the most part.

We frankly do not remember very well, but one day they just. Appeared. We passed them off as imaginary friends. We were not imaginary friends.

No one who absolutely despises it, but there are definitely a few who don’t like to be associated with their source.

Not really!

Yep! We have a few guys in there, love those guys. They embrace themselves and don’t give a shit about what others think! They’re really great and sweet.

it sort of plays out naturally- or higher ups decide, well, something like that. I’m not certain if there’s like anything specifically but generally they show up just knowing? Or they just end up settling into the role.

Outwardly intimidating… probably nicole because of just how confident and blunt they are? they’re less intimidating insys but, yeah, still not the easiest to talk to.

It depends on the little. For the most part, no. Especially during text- any quirks are mainly voice-related when internally speaking, and those are unintentional and not too obvious.

Hii I’ve recently discovered that we’re a system and was wondering what your favorite thing the person you like or your friend you mentioned has done for you!! I’m kind of scared to tell our friends but your blog gives us hope

hey! welcome to the community! one of the best things one of our friends have done to accommodate us is by doing their own research themselves! i am absolutely blessed to have them, haha. they have also made sure to respect our boundaries, including not interacting with particular alters such as littles due to our own hesitance, and other forms of assistance!

if you have supportive friends, it’s definitely great to tell them about it! we were apprehensive at first as well, but they ended up being one of our most supportive people. :) something i recommend is allowing them to ask questions and explaining the basics! and if they’ve already heard of systems before, especially from ‘cringe’ posters, make sure to re-educate them and point them to more informational places or sites to correct any misinformation.

of course, they won’t understand, at least at first, but the important thing is they are willing to learn and try and understand, even if they cannot at first.

hey! i definitely agree having a crush on another person outside of the system is definitely difficult sometimes, especially due to opposing opinions. however, it's super important to note that not all alters will have to be in a romantic relationship with the person aforementioned! while it's quite complicated and things definitely have to be worked out with the other people or person, it is totally possible depending on their preferences. of course, other alters may not have the same affection towards this person or people as others may, and to that it gets complicated. depending on comforts, could be a polyamorous relationship, open relationship, or monogamous relationship- whatever is most comfortable for both groups overall. as for the person/people, they're the sweetest ever, lol! very supportive, accepting, open-minded, albeit a bit stubborn and competitive at times but we love them for that and honestly think its adorable! :D would genuinely fight whatever lord or god above is there for them and it's just asdiufhuihrh. rambly stupid stuff, i won't talk about it too much, but we appreciate them a ton!

hey there! thanks for sending in an ask! all things considered especially due to our current situation and hyper vigilance and such, not too bad. we have a bit of a headache along with a twisted foot, a never-ending appetite, some nausea, and just the usual amount of joint pain with it being a little worse in our back, but all things considered, we’re doing pretty good and we’re still able to function (that’s a fucking win)! thank you for asking. :)

pov : you try and convince your headmates to rest at night because its a healthy thing to do. they proceed to look for one specific journal to read they just randomly remembered for more than an hour that had four pages in it done because ‘i won’t remember it tomorrow’. the next day, you feel like shit

as a system, we agree on nothing, except for one thing. *yelling, in any form that can not be obviously seen as playful (and even caution on that)* is never okay if not behind closed and locked doors, and even then, we prefer not to yell in any capacity as it only harms others- especially when internal arguing occurs. we’ve seen what discourse between people, especially those you love, does to a person from a first-hand perspective.
