Tying a Bitch 101:
So as an introductory, we must first go through the many issues one would have using traditional methods. This way, we're really knowing what's to be done. Lets begin.
• His magic could easily get him out of a tough spot; He has proficiency in conjuration, evocation and illusion. Among them, Teleport.
• His hands aren't attached to any limbs. They are thus free-roaming, just as Rayman's hand and feet are.
• He floats as a mode of transport; Never does he touch the ground and thus doesn't call for any leg movements. Tying is futile at best.
As we now have all of obstacles listed, lets tackle them. First off, his magic. Dimentio had always relied to snapping his fingers or waving his hands in order to cast spells. In my headcanon, this goes further as he requires to trace the 'container' first and may also cast through signing. A simple solution to prevent all spells to go through... Tape his fingers together, individually. Pair his indexes, majors, rings and pinkies. Just as they're all taped together, with gorilla tape preferably, tape them all into thumbless mitten. Allow not a single wiggle room. Tape tends to stick better to itself from experience. Finish off with salt to injury; Tie his wrists together, criss crossing onto the mitten to fully secure it. leave a tail of rope. Congratulations! Dimentio now has no way of using both his flappy talkative hands and magic. Now pray that he wouldn't remember.
Secondly, his limb's situation. One may not stop now; He may very well use that chunk of hands to knock bystanders. Quite the funny scenario however, Dimentio is weak in both physical combat and constitution; Meaning he doesn't last long before bailing. With the tail of rope left from the tied hands, tie it to a wall loop. Tie it tight. What damage could he do? He's the brain, not the brawn. Besides. He's old. Its position relative to Dimentio would matter slightly, it is best to have them separate from his body as even a nudge could be of great help for an escape. Congratulations! Bitch not only cannot use his magic, he now has them stuck to a wall unable to even use them as punches! His feet however, are still able to pack kicks. Simple enough of a solution; Tie them together and onto the floor, just a couple miles away.
Thirdly, might the 'floating' situation been taken care of already, it doesn't quite rule out Dimentio's possibilities to wiggle the strings loose. Allow no movements, tie him to a train track. My headcanon gives him additional 'limbs' characterized as being hair; Think of Sylveon's feelers from Pokemon. Dimentio has them along his scalp to tailbone and as such, sorry man, duck tapes you whole.
