Sanemi doesn't see color.

He lost the colors of this world when he first had to take up arms, and he never saw this world again.

Everything seemed as if it was an eternal cold winter. Everything was gray, faded, and dead, no matter where he looked.

He looked at the sky, but he no longer saw its azure purity.

He caught cherry blossom petals in his palms and looked at them for a long time, tracing the outline and delicacy of the veins of the flower with his pads, but he did not see what the cherry blossoms were like this year.

He sat on a tree branch, looking at the setting sun over the mountains and forest cover, but all he saw in the sky was a scribble of gray shades.

He often thought that he would gradually forget the colors.

If only, if only... if only they did not dream of him.

Rarely, fleetingly, but he clung to that moment every time in his dreams, keeping it in his memory...

He had never seen what color Tomioka's eyes were.

Of course, he hadn't seen any of the colors of the other Pillars. Not their hair, not their clothes, not their eyes. He knew that Gyomei was blind. He knew that Obanai had two different eye colors, and that the right one was almost blind. He knew that Kyoujuro's eyes always shone. He knew that Muichiro's eyes often stopped at something without thinking, empty.

So why did Giyuu's dark, dull even eyes catch his attention?

"Tomioka..." the question hangs in the air as Shinazugawa stares at the Water Pillar, narrowing his eyes slightly, making a soft tsking sound as the Water Pillar tilts his head to the side in a silent question.

"What... color are your eyes?..."

Kagaya: To settle this dispute, Giyu, why don’t you tell the others one thing you like about them?

Giyu: Uh, okay. Kocho, I like the purple in your hair.

Shinobu: Thanks!

Giyu: Kanroji, I like the green in your hair.

Mitsuri: Aw, thank you! I love your hair as well!

Giyu: Tokito, I like the blue in your hair.

Muichiro: Thanks, I guess.

Giyu: Rengoku, I like the red in your hair.

Kyojuro: A little repetitive, but thank you, nonetheless!

Giyu: Iguro, I like... uh... I like the um... The, uh, colour of, um...

Obanai: No, go ahead. Which colour of my hair do you like? Black or black?

Giyu: ... Uh... I like the yellow of your right eye.

Obanai: Whatever.

Giyu: Uzui, I like the red dots near your eye.

Tengen: Naturally! But your compliments are in desperate need of flair and uniqueness. You just keep going off about colours of things and eyes.

Giyu, completely ignoring Tengen: Shinazugawa, I like... the colour of the scar near your eye?

Sanemi: That doesn’t even make sense AND you said it like a question! How the fuck is that a compliment!?

Giyu: It just is.

Sanemi: No, it fucking isn’t!

Giyu, ignoring Sanemi and remembering that Gyomei is blind so colour and eyes mean nothing to him: And Himejima, I like your generous personality and your compassionate manner. You really hold this team together.

Gyomei: Why, thank you for saying something so personal and kind.

Giyu: No problem, man.

Intense crying noises.

I forgot to expand on my shinobu and genya thoughts but this woman is like the batman of kny, if she sees an orphan she already has a hairpin crafted and a bed made for them. She can say Kanae was the nice and sweet one all she wants but she was the one who took kanao without asking her sister. Why would she not look at Genya who is being ostracized by Sanemi and go “okay he’s mine now.”

ESPECIALLY when this woman is his personal doctor if I remember correctly, she sees how he is harming himself mentally and physically and basically grounds him to the butterfly estate. Kanao is put on duty to make sure he doesn’t scamper out a window. Genya suddenly understands Inosuke now.

It’s also a rite of passage once you get shinobu claimed to learn medical stuff, he already has the hairpin he doesn’t use but keeps on his person (it feels like an act of betrayal to Nemi and yet he cannot separate himself from it) and he’s not as good as her or Aoi because he hasn’t had years of medical practice but within a decent amount of time he’s able to pick up on how to safely stitch himself or someone up. Reset a bone and he is commonly used to scare the more rowdy and perverted demon slayers into obedience when he frequents the butterfly estate.

Just. Genya learning it’s okay to develop more tender relationships than just with gyomei or sanemi and Shinobu showing that she is genuinely kind and loving despite her passivity and empty smiles.

KINKMAS DAY 10: Sanemi Shinazugawa & Gyomei Himejima - a special request(or whatever you wanna call it.)

You had just gotten back from a mission with Tomioka, it had went well. You two managed to defeat the demons and even went out to eat!

Mitsuri and you were just talking about your missions to Kocho as you often took turns to talk instead of talking over each other.

“Oh, and Tomioka went out to eat with m—“ you didn’t even get to finish before they cut you off with a loud ‘WHAT’. you were so confused, was there a problem? Did you say something bad??

You just back away and go on your merry way, bumping into Gyomei, you apologize, then wind up starting and having a whole conversation with the MUCH taller man. The two of you were completely unaware of the person watching you from afar.

“Gyomei-San, would you like to accompany me to dinner at Shinazugawa's tonight? He mentioned that I could bring someone of my choice and you're the calmest person I know who won't argue with him!”

you say with excitement, hoping he'd say yes to accompanying you. Meanwhile behind you, Sanemi was watching from afar, listening closely to the current conversation between you and Gyomei.

Gyomei nods, showing that he’ll come to this dinner with you to Sanemi’s estate. You knew Sanemi wouldn’t argue with Gyomei for no reason, right?

During the dinner, Sanemi was just staring at you whilst you ate. He didn’t stop staring at you until you were done. “Shinazugawa, is something on my face?” You questioned.

one thing you didn’t expect to happen this evening was to be pounded into by sanemi while you were stroking gyomei off. you don’t remember how you ended up like this.

“Shinazugawa, be more careful with her.” Gyomei spoke up, slightly helping you jerk him off.

At the end of the day you ended up being taken care of by them, mainly Shinazugawa because Gyomei had a mission.

Old art I found of Kny OC Belle. The original idea has her still being a slayer but doesn't exactly know Gyomei since they were children.

omg I love KNY latest episode, especially the ending with the whole suspension of Muzan meeting the Ubuyashiki. But the slow motion, song playing in the background and the momentarily split screen of Muzan and Kagaya made me snort because it reminded me of those Korean drama episode 😭😭

I find it intriguing that Obanai is tasked with the accuracy of sword swinging training, considering that one of his eyes doesn't work well. I'd like to think that, aside from Kaburamaru's help, his instincts and senses are honed very well.

We can take into account of his past too, when he was always being monitored by the snake demon without him seeing her so his danger alert senses probably being heightened from there on. It's also amazing that after everything he went through, he doesn't despise snakes or scaly animals but instead decided to take it as a symbol of him.

or we can take that as him studying about snakes because he wants to be as prepared as possible if encountering another snake-themed demon (also to take better care of Kaburamaru) which then makes him fascinated over it and practices his attacks based on the snake's movements.

(Can this be taken as a form of disability? The concept of disabled slayers is something that can be explored, like Gyomei's blindness doesn't hinder him from being the strongest slayer and Sanemi's colour blindness -- that can impair a person's ability to read and interpret various diagrams and graphics -- doesn't let him stop from doing whatever the heck he wants or Uzui with his lack of one arm and still be able to perform flawlessly.)

Leaks of incoming KNY Hashira Training Arc I've seen on YouTube:

1) Filler episode, where Sanemi and Obanai get a glimpse of the infinity castle (supposedly Muzan retrieving more demons into the castle and they manage to see how it happened)

2) Wind and Serpent Breathing (very nice, I can see how Wind breathing is so violent in its movement with the way Sanemi swings his sword)

3) Giyuu gets all 'i am not like you' and tries to leave the meeting, Sanemi gets mad, Mitsuri tries to stop them and Gyomei has enough of these children squabbling lol

4) Shinobu and Obanai crumble, albeit just them being taken back by Gyomei's clap 🤣

5) THE OPENING IS SO GOOD?? 💕💕 AGHHH I AM EXCITED THEY ALL LOOK SO SO PRETTY AND BREATH TAKING AHHH

6) Love love the way everyone facing where Tanjiro is facing in the opening, and will definitely spoil everyone on who died in infinity castle arc by making those characters facing another way

7) Muichiro my son looking cute when he gets flabbergasted by Gyomei's way of hushing the squabble XD

Kimetsu Academy AU, where there's a squeaking coming from the fan ceiling in the chemistry lab and everyone be like "???" "What's that noise?? Is it going to fall??" So Obanai shutting the fan cause it's noisy and disturbing the class.

Then something comes plumping from the fan -- squeaking -- everyone screams and panicking as realisation sinks in at seeing that it's a mice.

Kaburamaru lungs, catches the mice in his mouth and everyone screams louder.

Que Uzui sprinting into the class, shouting and yanking his buff mice from the snake's mouth but unintentionally pulling too hard and flung both Kaburamaru and buff mice from the second floor.

Chachamaru playing with Gyomei outside and sees a snake and a mice in the air -- pounds forward and catches both with his mouth before dashing away into the hallway, catching students and staff off guard.

Gyomei startles, Uzui and Obanai screaming from the second floor.

Chaos. Chaos everywhere.

Belle's caretaker is a former Hashira. He knew her parents after they helped mending his injured muscles. He always regretted not being able to save Belle. He was the first person that Belle allowed to have physical contact with her after a few years.

Belle started to avoid Gyomei from that day. She felt sick, disgusted by herself. Gyomei tried to talk to her many times, but eventually he decided to give her a peace for her mind, not wanting to pressure her anymore.
