Is that I've dawn the pale king 72 times but they're all stupid doodles that I'll never post anywhere because they're all stupid and I hate him.

I've only been in the fandom for 3 and a half months please spare me

Tweaking the ref sheets yet again. The downside of having blorbos in your head 24/7 is that your image of them changes slightly every day based on new inspiration and such. And I hate having outdated references haha

This is an older design i have for him, and I haven't drawn his newer design digitally yet, so he kinda just looks weird.

The Troupe Master meets his Dear Wyrm in the City of Tears, and inspects his finest craft.

Illustration notes

The concept is to draw a meeting between Grimm, the Pale King, and the Hollow Knight. It's a bit difficult to translate from bug to human because sometimes it's not clear if a design element is the bug's body or the clothes they wear.

In the future I think I would design the Hollow Knight with pale hair (as with the Pale King) but for the purposes of this illustration & clarity, they have dark hair.

The dialogue I keep thinking about during this scene is "Fine craft, dear wyrm."

The Wyrm is referred to in-game as "it," while the Pale King is referred to consistently as "he."

CONCLUSION: Gods seem to be genderless or referred to as concepts instead of people. Since PK wants to be viewed as a bug like his people, he is gendered.

Hi, second post to tumblr, uh. And uhm. I like hollow knight, and I really like the higher beings specifically so heres what I think the lifeblood creature might look like (yes I know its humanoid, I cant draw the hk style properly :[ ) <- that's actually a lie, I just like to draw humanoid bugs

And uhm, heres a headcannon I have for them:

So I head cannon that the life blood creature/god is also a reborn wyrm but it came to Hallownest WAYYYYY before the Pale King and even the Radiance, in fact it arrived in Hallownest when the ancient civilisation was still around, and this wyrm(I need to find a name for them ;-;) died from void poisoning but when they rebirthed they developed an immunity from the void and even became kinda allies with the ancient civilisation. Btw I'm purely bullshiting my way through this headcannon because I know NOTHING of the life blood creature or any about life blood other than the PK didn't like it. WHICH REMINDS ME-

Abner (name I gave PK) can sense the the lifeblood seeds and the cocoons are the product of a wyrm which he can sense and it doesn't sit right with him(since wyrms are very territorial ig)

And that's why pk banned the use of lifeblood 👍

Also sorry if this overlaps with anyone else's hcs cuz again I'm really new to tumblr, and I've only seen Lifeblood creature mentioned a couple times and seen approximately 2 art pictures of them.
