Stuck in quarantine? Or just bored? Need something to watch? Youâve come to the right place! This list includes things that are NOT scary. For the latest version of this post, click [here]. Iâll update it if I watch new stuff!Â
The Craft (1996) (On netflix) This is an obvious one but itâs here nonetheless. Iâm not usually into thriller/horror stuff but this movie only really has a few intense scenes. It has a nice plot and I like it because while exaggerated a bit, the representation of witchcraft in it is amazing.Â
The Love Witch (2016) (On amazon prime) I adore this movie! It is a horror movie and there are some very intense moments but like The Craft it has a nice plot and a color scheme and 60s sort of aesthetic. Itâs so calm and beautiful sometimes I just forget itâs even labeled as a scary movie. Also like the craft it has an impressively accurate depiction of witchcraft. If you like witchy movies, horror movies, witchy aesthetic or practice glamour/love magic and wanna see dark twist on that then please watch this movie. The Witch (2015) (On netflix) This is a slow burn sort of horror movie. Thereâs definitely gore, but Iâd describe it as more disturbing than scary. The plot is centered around the familyâs slowly building suspicion that their eldest daughter is a witch. Itâs certainly not realistic. But very occult-y and scary. Probably the scariest thing on this list. If youâre looking for a real horror movie, here it is. Coraline (2009) (On netflix) I actually have a post about all the witchcraft thatâs in this movie despite it never explicitly mentioning witches. Link [here] if you wanna read it. Anyways! This movie is about a girl who discovers a secret door that leads her to another world thatâs much like her own. Everything is a bit off though, and her ideas about the world begin to unravel. Creepy, but not gory at all.Â
Mary & The Witchâs Flower (2017) (On netflix) Looking for something feel good and not scary? This one is for you! In this movie Mary finds a hidden magical flower that leads her to a school for witches. Itâs super cute, get yourself a cat and some tea and relax to this one. Hocus Pocus (1993) This is a favorite from when I was a kid. Itâs spooky but in a very Disney, kid friendly sort of way. Good for someone that wants to watch something quirky and laid back. Halloweentown (1998) Also a favorite from when I was little! This one is about a girl who discovers her grandma is from âHalloweentownâ a place where supernatural creature live, and sheâs a witch. Itâs not a realistic representation of witches at all but itâs also very quirky and cute.Â
The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina (2018) (On netflix) I really love this show! Itâs got some spooky parts like the movies mentioned above but the majority of it is just a bit dramatic at most. It has some heartfelt and funny moments too. The association with Satanism that the show has isnât ideal but itâs still one of my favorite shows ever, definitely my favorite show about witchcraft and the occult. Bewitched (Premiered 1964) An oldie but a goodie. This is a sitcom from the 60s that Iâve watched since I was little. Itâs about a woman, Samantha, who falls in love with a mortal and therefore has to pretend to be one. Very casual, good background noise.Â
Little Witch Academia (2017) (On netflix) This lovely little anime is about an underdog of a girl, Akko, who accidentally finds herself at a school for witches. Not spooky at all, very cutesy! I hope youâve found something good to watch here. Have a lovely day! đ

here is a little ritual you can do to bring warmth, joy and harmony to a home to make it feel cozier and more welcoming. best done during a full moon, but you can do it any time. you will need:
⟠a small bowl of ceramic, wood or glass
⟠a clove of garlic (bringing warmth + togetherness to a home)
⟠a sprinkle of lavender flowers (tranquility and calm)
⟠a sprig of pine (home blessing, cleansing, grounding)
⟠a brown candle (home and hearth magick)
sit in the main area of your home. light your brown candle; sit comfortably on the floor or couch and meditate on the candle for a while. warm your hands with its flame.
set the offering bowl in front of the candle. take the garlic clove in your hands and visualize the way you want your home to feel: warm, lived-in and welcoming. warm the clove over the candle-flame briefly and set it in the bowl.
take your lavender flowers in your hands. close your eyes, take a deep breath and inhale the scent of them. let it calm you, as it will calm the energy of your home. place the flowers atop the garlic.
lastly, take the sprig of pine. use it like a wand; point it toward all four corners of the room youâre in. place it against your heart, and set it in the bowl.
whisper to the bowl: âmay your magick bless this home with kindness and warmth.â blow out the candle; place the bowl on a windowsill, mantle, or coffee table for three nights. on the third night, sprinkle its contents outside your front door.

Never turn around to check behind you. Youâll see nothing, but once you start doing it you wonât be able to stop, and an ominous feeling will follow you until you donât lock your houseâs door behind you.Â
If you stand very still and listen you will hear the woods calling for you. Donât answer. Never answer.Â
Youâll hear things quietly following you, hidden in the trees by your sides. Itâs okay, theyâre just checking on you.Â
Donât be scared, but be really, really wary.
If you have a bad feeling about taking a certain path, donât. Youâll avoid whatever is waiting for you at the end of it.Â
You never know what may be buried under the soil youâre walking on. Remember that every time you take a step. Pray that whatever it is, it wonât wake up.Â
Be careful not to step on any beetle, or youâll never get rid of them.Â
If you bring a knife with you, name it. Otherwise the blade will turn against you as soon as you try to use it.Â
Make sure you remember the way back home. As soon as you get lost, youâre just another piece of fresh meat.
