It’s uncanny how similar Trump is acting like Hitler. People are now doing the Nazi salute. They’re drawing the symbol. The KKK was seen in Kentucky asking people to join them. ICE has been ripping families apart. Companies have pulled back Diversity Initiatives. We’re no longer part of WHO and there won’t be any communication from the CDC at least until February 1st. We’re being censored and the news can’t be trusted. Thousands of Americans didn’t know there were protests against Trump yesterday outside the U.S. Quotes from The Handmaid’s Tale and Anne Frank have been compared to what’s going on right now.
According to The Lemkin Institute for Genocide Studies and Prevention the U.S. has officially been given a red flag alert for Genocide.
I’m exhausted but I will never stop being angry.
Harry in book 6: Remember that time four years ago when Draco went into a shop and looked at some things?
Ginny: Remember the time I was possessed and nearly murdered by a fragment of Lord Voldemort's soul?
Harry: ...Wait what? That happened?

Today I was talking with a friend, and we were talking about AI. For context, we're both writers. She was wondering if using AI not to write, but to talk about her plot and get ideas from it was wrong. I couldn’t think of a rebuttal in the moment, but it doesn't sit right with me. Can anyone help me convince her to stop using it? She says it increases her productivity because she can get instant feedback and since the AI isn't sentient, doesn't have to worry about things like it asking too many questions about her writing other than whats relevant to the conversation or it getting leaked to the public.
I always have to remind myself that when kids around me talk about lotf it's in a "yea we are reading this in class rn" and not a "i've dedicated my life to this book way"
