Without turning around, shoulders hunched over, you sigh, “ Well, are you just going to stand there or are you going to help me?” It’s silent until you finally hear the sound of his footsteps coming towards you. You were staring at the wall lined with some reflective metal across from you when he comes into your line of vision, taking hold of the bandages you had thrown to the floor after you finally realized you wouldn’t be able to change them without help. Both of you are silent as you lay yourself down on the cot, knowing that it would be better to put the bandages on that way.

It’s silent between you two, both of you not knowing what to say. He avoided eye contact once he finished changing your bandages, turning to throw the old wraps in the bin. Slowly, you sit up and carefully put on the loose tank top the medic had recommended you wear. Getting off the cot, you open your mouth to say something when you’re interrupted.

“What were you thinking?” Eric says, his back still turned towards you. You’re taken a back by how harsh his words sound.

Frowning, you ask, “Excuse me?” 

Eric pounds his fist onto the table, startling you as he swiftly turns towards you, his jaw clenched so hard you were afraid he might break it. “Did you really think no one would find out?! That you could keep training with an injury as bad as that and no one would notice?! How ignorant are you?! You could have died of infection if that other initiate hadn’t of taken you down and your makeshift stitches hadn’t of ripped open!!”

You could feel your body slightly shake as Eric yelled at you, you weren’t sure if it was out of fear or anger. Eric wasn’t one of the nicest leaders in Dauntless by far, you expected him to tell you that you’re out of Dauntless and are now factionless but what you didn’t expect is for him to yell at you about what you did. 

Tired of his yelling and disapproving looks, you interrupt him, “What did you expect me to do?!?! Would you have preferred me to tell the others that I was injured and couldn’t train anymore?? So that they can judge me and tell me that I should have never left Amity, so that they think I’m weak!! I joined Dauntless because I didn’t want to be seen as weak anymore, I wanted to be better and if it took me hiding an injury to stay in training, to stay and hopefully join Dauntless then I would do it all over again.”

You were out of breath by the time you finished yelling back at Eric. The shaking in your body stopped and all you could do is glare at Eric as he glared back at you. “Besides, why do you care what happens to me. After all I’m just a weak Amity who has no place being in Dauntless, right?! That’s what you told the other leaders when I first got here. It’s people like you that made me not want to say anything about me being injured, it would just give you more of a reason to kick me out.”

Tired of yelling, you make to leave the med room, deciding that being anywhere but there would be the best. Reaching towards the doorknob, a hand on your wrist stops you. Looking up, Eric is standing close to you, almost too close that if you were to take a very deep breath your chests would touch. 

Meeting Eric’s eyes, you’re surprised to see remorse and something else you couldn’t make out. He takes a deep breath and your chests brush slightly, “I never said that, I have no idea where you heard that but it never happened.” You look at him, your eyebrows raised as you don’t believe him. “And as much as I tried not too, I do care. I care a lot for you, something I never thought I would feel for someone else, especially for someone who seems to hate me. It’s because I care for you that you’re not out of Dauntless and you still have a second chance.”

Your eyes soften as you register what Eric had just said to you. Shock envelops your body, but not enough that you can still feel his hand let go of your wrist and take hold of your hand. Raising your head, you look into his eyes and you finally understand what that something else in his eyes was. He smiles slightly down at you and you feel yourself return the smile back.

You cuddle closer into James side, the cold air making you crave the warmth radiating from him. The streets were empty, with the occasional car driving past or students heading on home. After an amazing dinner, James and you decided to walk back to your dorms, wanting a few more peaceful minutes before you had to go your separate ways.

Your peaceful walk is cut short when a car comes speeding down the road, a group of rowdy boys on it. James stops walking and his hold on your arm tightens. You hear him curse under his breath and turns you both around, starting to walk back the way you came from. 

The car slows down and you hear a voice shout, “ Look what we have here boys! It’s James!” James stops you both and reluctantly turns towards the group of boys. They pile out of the car, swaying on their feet, the stench of alcohol radiating off of them.”We’ve been looking everywhere for you!”

“Didn’t know you had yourself a date!,” says the curly haired one. Toby, you believe is his name. You had never officially met James friends but you knew who they were. Dimitri speaks up with a coy smile and says, “ Aren’t you going to introduce us?”

James with a tight lipped smile, clears his throat, “ This is Y/N, my girlfriend,” he says turning towards you, “ Y/N, these are my friends George, Toby, Guy, Dimitri, and Harry.” As he introduces them to you, they each bow to you. 

You smile slightly and say, “ It’s a pleasure to meet you boys. I’ve heard a lot about you.” You expected for that to be it, but you were oh so wrong.

Harry Villiers steps towards you and takes your hand, bowing down and placing a kiss on the top. “The pleasure is all ours, love,” he says with a quick wink towards you.

You are abruptly pulled away from him, James arm around your waist as he pulls you closer towards him. Your eyes are widened with surprise while his are glaring daggers at Harry. With an angry voice, James says, “ Alright then, you’ve met her. Now you lot can fuck off now.”

Derek: Seriously? That’s what you want. *Stiles nods* Fine *sighs* You come up with good plans. And you’re not as annoying as you used to be.

“Y’N, I want you to head over to the second victim’s home. Talk to the roommate, see if there was anything unusual going on before her death,” says Hotch. You nod and begin to grab your jacket off a chair when you are stopped from doing so.

Spencer’s hand tugs your jacket to him and looking at Hotch says, “ Umm, I think Y/N should stay here.” The team stops what they are doing and looks at him oddly. “I’ve been re-examining all of the victims files and they all seem to have the same thing in common. Their hair color, eye color, height and they are all female. Y/N shares these qualities also.” 

Hotch looks at him oddly and says, “ I’m sure she’ll be fine. There will be other agents there. There’s no chance the unsub will be anywhere near the victims’ home.” Hotch sighs and looks to you and Spencer and says, “ I thought you said you two dating wouldn’t intervene with your work.”

“It won’t,” you reassure him. Stepping towards Spencer, you place your hand around his arm and say quietly, “ Don’t worry Spencer. I’ll be fine. I can take care of myself.”

He frowns at you and says not so quietly, “ I know you can but you’re not only taking care of yourself, remember. I can’t protect you both if i’m not around if something happens.”

Derek, who couldn’t help but overhear, says, “ Woah, what? Who else are you trying to protect?” Spencer looks to him and then looks to you and then looks to your stomach, hinting to Derek as to who this other being is. Derek’s eyes widened and a smile comes to his lips, “ No freaking way, pretty boy!”

Everyone’s attention seems to be on you two now. Penelope, who was watching the whole conversation, lets out a screech and places her hands on her cheeks, “ You’re having a baby!!”
