I once dreamt of several detective stories. Like, saw them in my dreams at night. I don’t know if they were good or bad, but there were actual detective plots and plot twists. And I don’t remember them entirely. Only some details.
While dreaming, I was watching them like a movie, but thinking that I was reading them in some book. I wondered how I had gotten through it so fast, and only then I realised that it was no book, but something my brain had made up. Then I thought that I should write them down, and maybe after some work they’ll make sense as actual detective stories. But I woke up, and I didn’t remember practically anything. Not even the key plot points.

And back when there was no light pollution, people were used to seeing these figures every night… They made up stories about them, like children do about characters in pictures on their bedroom walls that have been there since they remember… And they argued about what animal each one looked like, and now we can’t even see half of the stars that shaped the whole image…
It’s so weird to see constellations in real life, especially for the first time. Like, you are aware that there are these figures in the sky, you know what they look like and what they’re named, you even know legends about some of them, and then, when you finally come to a place with lower light pollution and raise your head, you see that there’s indeed this huge ass shiny figure hanging up in the sky, looking exactly like the drawing in the book, but it’s actually up there, shining at you… It’s so crazy.
Aluminium is so cool, like, some dude saw it and thought "this is exactly what I need to make a flying machine that’s huge but not too heavy" and someone else was like "wouldn’t it be cool if I sliced it really thin and wrapped my breakfast in it instead of boring ol’ paper"
