Hmm... well, Tumblr *is* supposed to be adding ActivityPub support, which would let it work with the Twitter-like Mastodon. So however it's implemented, that might be Twitter-like enough? Plus it'd be a big boon for Mastodon/ActivityPub/the "fediverse", as it'd be easier to get into it via just using Tumblr?
I keep saying: If Tumblr added a Twitter-like sidebar they would render every other social media platform not supported as a loss-leader for Nazis extinct in a month.

What do Peppermint Patty, Frankenstein Jr. and the Impossibles, and Poison Ivy have in common? They all should’ve entered public domain as of today under their original copyright terms, but didn’t thanks to retroactive extensions.
Also, obligatory ”Mickey Mouse enters public domain a year from today” comments.
