Deuce noticed you making your way up the hill as soon as he could see you. Instantly, he broke out into a cold sweat, butterflies swarming in his stomach and threatening to throw him off balance as he waved his wand around and tried to match Trey’s dancing. If Trey noticed him faltering, he didn’t say anything, and Deuce managed to fight his way through the rest of the song without any glaring mistakes. The music dwindled to a close just as you reached the hilltop, a collection of water bottles in hand. You had one for everybody, passing them off with a smile, but Deuce swore you smiled just a bit larger when you handed one to him - not before faking him out once, of course.
