Honestly, I haven't seen such a terrible story as Adar's in a long time. Not in the sense that it is poorly written, but in the sense that his storyline and his entire life are absolutely hopeless. His life was spent in suffering alongside Morgoth and Sauron; he witnessed how they killed and tormented his children, he was tortured too. For a brief moment, they freed themselves from Sauron's power, and Adar did everything to ensure that Uruks did not fall under his control again. He was ready to turn them against him, to feel their distance and their waning love for him, he was prepared for them to kill him, just so they wouldn’t become slaves again.
He dies right after realizing that the ring could heal him, after a new path opened up for him in alliance with Galadriel. Sauron looks at him and Adar understands that Sauron has won, and that everything that came before was in vain.
This is an absolute, total nightmare and shattering of all hopes.

I thought it would be natural for Adar to give names to the newborns in his troop
Galadriel threatened Adar that she would slaughter his children in front of him, Sauron might be the one to do it, to make his revenge as painful as possible.
Adar is my favorite character, so he will suffer the most from my great love …and Sauron's love too

Wanted to share this edit I made a while ago for Elendil and Míriel. I'm not one for romantic subplots but I liked the writing for them. The song is The Diving Bell by my beloved The Crane Wives.
It is the first edit I've made, so any thoughts are welcome :)
I think some of the audio clips are spaced out too much, I'd do it a little differently now.
I've also got a few more thoughts on tRoP Crane Wives edits I may get to at some point.

The first has the correct vibes but actually my pet peeve this season was the elves' seeming incredibly lax views on forge safety (as someone who's done a bit of metal working). Like okay, Annatar is excused. But Eru Mirdania, pull your damn hair back girl. (Mini rant over)
