A wolfstar fic about Lorde's song "Writer in the Dark" depicts Sirius and Remus together, and when they are discovered kissing, Sirius freaks out and claims that Remus kissed him, getting Remus into trouble. After that, Remus's life goes to SHIT, and he starts writing songs or books. They then reunite after Remus gains popularity and Sirius needs a favor or something.

Marauders band AU:

James and Peter forming a band in their really early teens. Denim jackets, converse and matching hair. Sirius black coming along years later looking for an escape from his family all of which are world renowned classical composers. Cigarettes, liquid eyeliner and painted nails. Potter on the guitar, Pettigrew on Vocals/Keyboard, Black on the drums. Remus lupin found them last, an eighteen year old with nothing to loose, Doc martens, Scars and hands born to play the bass. Lily, Marlene and Mary a band who they met at a recording studio. Sirius putting up his hair with drumsticks. Regulus carrying on the black name with Barty, Evan, Pandora and Dorcas, playing violins and pianos and cellos at opera houses. Wolfstar being shipped by fans worldwide. Joint Instagram accounts. Regulus teaching James how to play on a keyboard because he didn’t want to overshadow Remus. Sirius and Regulus being seen arguing in Public, captured by Paparazzi. Leather jackets and designer suits. Remus himself having a tremor in his hands, he needs meds for just so they can stop shaking. Arguments before concerts. Chaotic interviews, music videos. Questions asked about love, Peter smirking, James blushing, Remus kissing Sirius. The whole lot of them LGBTQ+ icons, Remus, Lily and Regulus performed a song together once and everyone went mental. I could go on. The potential is here guys.

James, Lily, Marlene, Sirius, Remus, Mary: Peter, I thought the world of you.

Lily potter is sitting in the corner, of her baby’s bedroom, by the door trying to calm and shush the both of them, while she hears James going down, because of Peter. She can hear Voldemort ordering Pete to go upstairs.

She knows she won’t live, she knows this is her last day. She suddenly thinks back to her sister, saying this, magic, would be the death of her. Oh god, she was right.

Peter opens the door and turns around to meet Pete’s eyes. (It’s Pete’s eyes, but it isn’t Pete.)

Then it clicks in Lily’s mind: he did it. He was the spy, the traitor, the one who killed Marlene. Suddenly she thinks;

She’s hiding in the corner of a room, sobbing trying to shush herself, she knows her family is dead, and she knows she won’t survive.

And now she knows how Marlene McKinnon felt, Now she knows how Joan of Arc felt.

James Potter spends his day having breakfast with his lovely parents and they watch their favourite show together and have fun and look through all photos and they had sm fun thinking about the past and talking about the future. Then Marlene and Peter come and visit James and his parents and they talk about them childhood and their favourite memories. Marls and Pete give James his birthday present, its a collage filled of photos, glitter and stickers and filled with little notes and written backstory of what happened in each photo. Everyone cries because it’s so cute and it’s a lovely present. Then James goes off with Pete, while Marls goes off to do something “urgent”, to see Remus and Sirius. James, Remus, Sirius and Pete go to a lovely cafe and they get coffee and tea and they talk about everything and anything, they have fun and have loads of laughs, then Sirius brings out their present which us a box, colourfully decorated and inside is James’ favourite sweets, photos of James with the others, in his deer form and by himself and his favourite muggle bands and sports teams. Then they put a bandana over James’ eyes and then bring him somewhere.

When they take his bandana off his eyes he sees, all his friends (Sirius, Remus, Pete, Marls, Lils, Reg, Frank, Alice, Barty, Pandora ect ect.) and they all around a decorated beach house covered in fairy light and laughter. James partys, drinks, drags everyone to the dance floor, dances, laughs, jokes, blows out his candles and wishes everyone and everything would stay this happy forever.

James Potter who says ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ to anything even Alexa or Siri. James Potter who carry spiders and put them outside so they wouldn’t get killed. James Potter who would talk to any living thing (people, plants, animals). James Potter who would help anyone if they needed something or someone. James Potter who would compliment strangers for no reason. James Potter would was always willingly to give a helping hand. James Potter who would be every first years’ best friend, and would help them with homework, practice, how to get to places ect. James potter who was a sweetheart inside and out!!! James Potter would was know for his looks, brains, brawn AND his heart!!

James was really drunk at a party he stumbled to the bathroom to be greeted by Mary, Marlene and Lily. Marlene and Mary, instantly aware of why he’s there, go over and help he get to the toilet to vomit. Lily stands there confused why they’re helping James. Like James “asshole pure-blood” Potter?? Marlene gives out to James while he tries to sleep on the toilet, so she tells him to start talking. He rambles about how he wants to go help Pete cause he left him alone of the sofa out there, how he has to help Sirius and Remus talk because they’re too nervous to do it by themselves, how he has to give advice to Dorcas because she doesn’t know what’s the best alcohol they have, how Pandora lost her shoes and he has to help her, how Barty is overwhelmed and how he has to get him out, that Evan wants weed and he was supposed to get some for him, and how he was supposed to do and help so many people. Mary and Marlene nodding along and rubbing his back and holding his hand like it’s normal?? Lily stands there watching James potter tell them how he doesn’t have time to be sick cause there’s people who need help more.

Lily realises maybe he’s different.

James “asshole pureblood” Potter

The first time Lily saw James for James was when he was being himself. James helping a first year that was really homesick and didn’t know where to go and how to find their classes - Lily was on her way to help them - James being there first on his knees telling them it’s okay and taking their hand and walking them to their class and getting in trouble for being late but not telling the teacher why, he got a detention for being late and being disruptive, just for helping someone. Lily realising maybe he isn’t just a pure-blood slob always getting in trouble for pranks, maybe he is a good person.

For the first time in her life he realised, maybe James is a sweetheart like Sirius has been telling her.

and when he runs away to stay with the potters he gets 1) the world’s absolute worst sunburn that leaves him bedridden for a week and 2) the world’s absolute best tan that leaves [remus/james/mary/whoever you ship him with]’s jaw falling through the floor

Sirius is only so pale because he was never let outside.

It’s not even funny the effect that Marauders fan-fiction had on me is crazy.

Like, I’m watching the first Deathly Hallows movie and seeing Remus Lupin genuinely feels like a punch in a gut.

Like, all I can see is that little boy that was begging for death in Madam Pomfrey’s arms after a bad full moon.

All I can see is wannabe gangster teenager from The Cadence of Part-time Poets.

All I can see is the twelve year old boy that was able to get Sirius and Narcissa out of an engagement.

All I can see is a capital slave who fell in love with a mentor during the hunger games and helped start and fight a revolution

All I can see is the sad little boy that goes through the craziest things in every universe

I’m looking for another fic, i don’t remember a lot about it but its jegulus with asexual Regulus who runs away to the potters and i remember Peter messes with Regulus’ memories and it has demisexual Sirius, but thats basically all i remember and i was hoping someone could find it

Marauders X Descendants au where Regulus, Sirius, Evan, Barty, and Dorcas are from the isles and it has Jegulus, Wolfstar, Dorlene, Rosekiller, and Pandalily.

I totally understand that James did nothing for Harry, for the most part of Harry's life. But it's not like he didn't do anything willingly. If I am not wrong he seemed a pretty decent dad for the time he was alive after Harry's birth.

And yeah, people don't talk enough about how what Severus did was brave and all that. But that's because they keep talking about how he had no right to be a dick to children just because he was bullied too, your trauma doesn't give you any right to traumatize other people. And at the end, what he did against Voldy was for revenge and for some sort of apologizing to Lily by "protecting" her son. He might have loved Lily, but it wasn't too long before that was turned into obsession. I empathized with the school boy Severus. But after that, it was a bit too twisted.

People get mad that Harry named his son after Severus. However I’m leaning more towards the fact that Snape did the most thankless job even after being mistreated all of his life by the people he was saving and working with and the only thanks he gets- the only time anyone has decided to remember a single thing he did- it’s when Harry is naming his spawn.

Severus is not even the spawn’s first name, it’s his second name. Oh yeah and he threw in some half-baked dialogue about how Severus was brave. Wow truly what a fucking treat, what an homage.

And people are complaining that he didn’t name his kid after Hargid (or Lupin I don’t think which is pretty sad and also thankless). And I agree, but instead of switching out Severus’s name, take out James’s.

He named one of his kids James Sirius Potter (which is just so cringe) and like my question is why? Sirius is perfectly understandable but why James? James has done absolutely nothing-and I mean-NOTHING for Harry apart from get compared to him and has basically acted as a sperm donor to Harry. No- not a father, because being a father actually requires raising ur kid- no James’s only merit is that he had a wizard messiah in his ballsack. Brilliant.
