CHAPTER 2
Oh Boy, Shopping..
“Alright kids were here!” Y/n said. Soon all the kids were off the bus and in the store. Now they are in the clothing section. Thankfully y/n had brought a stroller that had a lot of room to put stuff in and could carry some of the kids if needed. “Robin what’s wrong?” Y/n asked the girl as they were looking at the dress’. “I don’t know witch one I want.” Robin said in a sad tone. “Well you can pick more than one it’s ok.” Y/n told the girl to reassure her. They were in the changing room and all the kids (-chopper and carrot) were trying on new clothes. “Hey miss y/n look at the dress that I found!” nami said, coming out in a pink dress. “It looks beautiful nami!” Y/n replied with joy for seeing the orange haired girl so happy. “Miss y/n I like this one can I get it?” Robin asked from behind y/n. Y/n turned around and saw robin in a gorgeous blue dress “of course you can robin!” Y/n said happy that she found something she liked.
Now after everyone has gotten a lot of new clothes they are ready to finally go toy shopping. “Alright so for toy shopping we are going youngest to oldest ok? So that means Chopper and Carrot first.” They made it to the baby section and went to look for toys. Y/n picked out some toys for them and then decided to have the kids help. “Boys you all each pick out a toy for carrot and girls pick individual toys for chopper. Oh and remember carrot is a girl and chopper is a boy.” So the kids went off to look for toys.
~with the boys~
“So we are looking for a baby toy for a girl right?” Luffy asked completely confused. “Yes Luffy we are.” Ace said with a groan. They were now looking for toys for carrot. “Hmm this seems like a good toy.” Sabo thought picking up a carrot plushie. “I think she’ll like this.” Franky thought while picking up a squishy but soft ball. The rest of the boys then picked out toys.
~with the girls~
“Hmm what do you think a baby boy would like?” Rebecca asked the rest of the girls. “I don’t know. Maybe he would like a stuffed animal.” Nami said thinking on what to get the baby. “Hmm we should get him some sensory type toys. So that way he can get a custom to different things.” Robin said. “Yea! I totally agree!” Koala said. So the girls each got him different toy with different textures.
~with y/n~
“Hmm I wonder how the kids are doing?” Y/n thought while she got some extra diapers and blankets. “Miss Y/n we are back!” Luffy announced with all of the girls and boys behind him. “I’m glad! Oh and I see you all got toys for them thank you!” Y/n said. “Well now that I’m done getting stuff for carrot and chopper and you all have each gotten them a toy we can now go get you all toys!” Y/n said. The children erupted into a bunch of yay’s. So Y/n and the children went to the big kid toys. “Oh wow look at all of the toys!” Luffy said with stars in his eyes. “Oh here you each get a cart to hold your toys. If you want it put it in your cart. If you need any help get me. Ok.”
“Well don’t just stand here! Go get some toys!” Y/n said in a cheerful voice. So off they went.
~with Luffy, usopp, Bartolemaeo, Franky, kid, and killer~
“Oh wow there is so much!” (Bart) “I know I mean look at all of these toy cars!” (Franky) “Hey Luffy what do you want?” (Usopp) “I don’t know Usopp. Oh I know how about some play pirate stuff so we can play pirates!” (Luffy) “sure that sounds fun! You know I think I want some sniper stuff.” (Usopp) “What’s a sniper?” (Luffy) “A sniper is a person who has really good aim. They can shoot something that is moving or something moving from really far away!” (Usopp) “Oh wow Usopp that’s so cool! Hey do you know any snipers?” (Luffy) “Actually I do. My Dad is a sniper. He set out to sea. I’m really proud of him for it. But Dad promised me he would come back when Mama got better. But she never did. She actually died from a sickness. After that I was all left alone. The villagers took me to an orphanage. Although I never got adopted until now.” (Usopp) “Oh . . . I’m really sorry that, that had happened to you Usopp.” (Luffy) “It it’s ok Luffy. I’m happy now I finally have a family again, and I get the feeling that this family is going to have a lot adventures.” (Usopp) So the boys got a lot of toys. Kid got craft kits and robots. Killer got craft kits. Franky got craft kits, cars, and science experiments. Bartolemaeo got board games, play weapons, and rock-’em sock-’em robots. Luffy got play weapons, some board games, and more games. Usopp got craft kits, science experiments, and a sling shot.
~Time skip
Soon everyone was back in the bus and heading home. When they got home she looked back and saw most of the kids asleep. The only ones who weren’t asleep were chopper and carrot. So she picked them up and placed them in some rocking seats in the living room. She then went back and took the kids either by two or just one at a time in their rooms and in their beds. Y/n then went back to Carrot and Chopper and took them into the kitchen and fed them. “Alright now to just bring in all of their toys.” Y/n said to herself and brought in all of the toys. “Y/n?” Said woman turns around and is met with a teary-eyed Luffy. ‘Oh my goodness Luffy are you ok?! What’s wrong?” (Y/n) “I had a nightmare.” Luffy said trying hard not to cry. “Would you like to come with me and get something to drink?” Y/n asked wiping away the child’s tears. “Yes . . .” Luffy replied. So Y/n and Luffy went into the kitchen and she got the milk out put it into a mug and microwaved it. “Be careful its hot.” Y/n said as she handed to drink to Luffy. And in a matter of a couple minutes he was out cold. “Works like a charm every time.” She then scooped up Luffy brought him into his room and tucked him in. “Today was the start of a new adventure.” Y/n said as she was leaving Luffy’s room and was going to her own. She then changed and got into bed to go to sleep. “I only wish you could see me now brother . . .”
CHAPTER 1
Prologue / Next Chapter
Welcome Home Kids!
Y/n had found out what the kids had liked and disliked so she prepared for it. For example, she put a giant bookshelf of history books in robins room and a giant bookshelf of medical books in laws room.
Her house was huge and when I say huge I mean gigantic. And at about 7 am all of her children arrived.
(Luffy POV)
I woke up in a car with ace and sabo next to me. I said “oi ace, sabo why are we in a car and where are we going?” Ace didn’t answer but sabo did and he said “so the orphanage was closing down and we were going to be thrown on the streets. But some lady found out and adopted us, and now she is are new Mom and we’re going to live with her now.” WE WERE GETTING ADOPTED!!?! This shocked me at first but then I was happy. “Yay!” I thought “finally we get to have a Mom!” “Oh and Luffy” sabo said to get my attention “yea sabo?” I said back “we’re not the only ones she adopted. There are going to be more kids from different orphanages from the one we’re from.” WHAT!?! Ok now that shocked me but then I was happy again cus that meant new siblings! Yay!
Then the car stopped. And we got out and we’re met with a lot of other kids coming out of cars and a gigantic house, with a pretty and friendly looking lady.
(Laws POV)
I knew the orphanage was shutting down witch ment I had to go back to living on the streets. But when they told me to get in a car I was . . . confused. Apparently some lady found out and adopted me and a bunch of other kids from a bunch of different orphanages. When we arrived I saw a lot of kids and a giant house with a pretty young lady standing there. . . was she supposed to be my new Mom?
(Y/n POV)
I saw all of the children get out of the cars. Well I should say the rest because chopper and carrot had arrived an hour earlier. Then the people who were with the kids told them that I was the one who adopted them. They all looked at, me some with fear, some with nervousness, and a small portion with happiness. “Hello kids!” I said “my name is y/n, it’s nice to meet all of you” there luggage had arrived the same time as chopper and carrot. “Why don’t I show you all your rooms?” They all nodded in return. They followed me inside where there faces of fear and nervousness were replaced with wonder. We walked a bit more and then went up the stairs and reached the hallway that had all of there rooms. I then showed them there rooms and with the first room I showed was sabo’s. Then a kid with a straw hat asked me where the barroom was and I said “you all have your own bathroom that is attached to your bedroom same with your closet.” I then told them that there stuff were still In there suitcases and that if they needed me I’ll be in one of the two rooms at the end of the hall. Then I left to check on carrot and chopper.
(Nami POV)
What. The. HECK. This y/n lady was loaded. She had velvet covering her stairs and the rooms were just. WOW. She then showed us are rooms and some kid with a straw hat asked where the bathrooms was at. And honestly I wanted to know to. But then she said it was attached to our bedrooms just like are closets were. I thought it was Gunna be small but I was wrong. Dead wrong. She showed me my room and it was filled to the brim with books of navigation and most of them said first edition. The walls were covered in clouds and tangerine trees. And my bed was huge and cloud like exterior and dark blue sheets, blankets, and pillows with tangerine designs on them. It was also a soft as a cloud. I went into the bathroom and it was big. I had a big vanity, tub, and shower, of course a toilet two. Then I saw another pair of doors on the other end of my bedroom and the doors led to a huge walk in closet. I only had 3 dresses and two pairs of t-shirts, jeans, and shorts also one pair of pjs. But it was nice anyway. Then I went to unpacking the rest of my stuff.
(Robin POV)
This place was really fancy. Like really fancy. I heard what she said about our bedrooms, bathrooms, and closets. She then showed me my room. And I wasn’t ready. It was huge and my bed looked like a big book and there was a light purple flowing canopy that had books coming down the sides of the canopy. Then there was a big bookshelf. It was full of history books. Most of them said first edition. I only had this dress and a pair a pjs nothing else.
(Y/n POV)
I had just finished feeding chopper his bottle when a kid came in. He had black hair and a long nose. “ do you need something sweetie?” I asked he nodded “your name is usopp right?” he nodded again as we walked to his room. He had a sniper themed room.
(3 p POV)
After she had helped him she had found that all of the kids were done. So she asked them if they wanted something to eat. She was answered with all of the kids grumbling tummies. She giggled a little and brought them to the living room and asked what they wanted. They all answered and then she left to go make breakfast for them. Then the kid with the straw hat went up to usopp and said. “Hi my name is Luffy want to be friends?” “Sure we can be friends. By the way my name is usopp.””shishishi nice to meet you usopp!” The two boys started chatting a little bit and laughing at jokes the other would tell. The rest of the kids distanced them selves away from the others except for the ones that came there with others.
“Kids! Breakfast is ready!” Y/n said from the dinning room. So the kids ran in and sat down and ate. Luffy sat next to usopp and ace. Ace sat next to sabo. Sabo sat next to koala. Koala sat next to robin. Robin sat next to franky. Franky sat next to
Kid. Kid sat next to killer. Killer sat next to law. Law sat next to penguin. Penguin sat next to Shachi. Shatchi sat next to Bartolemaeo. Bartolemaeo sat next to Cavidesh. Carrot sat next to y/n. Y/n sat next to chopper. Chopper sat next to usopp. After everyone was done eating they headed back to the living room. “So how about we all sit in a circle and say three things about ourselves?” The kids just nodded in return and sat in a circle. “All right I’ll start. Hi my name is y/n. I’m not going to say my age because I don’t feel comfortable saying it. My favorite color is f/c and f/c/2.” “Hi my name is Luffy. I’m 5. My favorite color is red.” “ my name is nami. I am 6 years old, and my fariote colors are gold and orange.” “I’m zoro. I’m 6. My favorite color is green.” “Hello my name is usopp. I’m 5. I’m 7 years old, and blue is my favorite color.” “Hi my name is Shachi. I’m 6. And light green is my favorite color.” “Hi my name is Penguin. I’m 6. My favorite color is light blue.” “Hi my name is vivi. I’m 6 years old and blue is my favorite color.” “Hi my name is koala. I’m 7 years old. Pink is my favorite color.” “Hello my name is Cavidesh. I’m 6 years old. Blue is my favorite color.” “ hi I’m Bartolemaeo. I’m 5 years old. Green is my favorite color.” “Hi I’m Rebecca. I’m 5 years old, and pink and gold are my favorite colors.” “Hi my name is Viola. I’m 7 years old. Purple is my favorite color.” And with that they were done. “Well that was fun. How about we all get in my car and go shopping for clothes. You can also get toys, games, and anything else you want there is no budget!” Y/n said. “Wait really no budget?!” Nami yelled excitedly. “Does that mean history books too?!” Robin asked with pure excitement. “So I can get building kits?!” Franky asked. “So I can get pretend doctors equipment?!” Law said. “So I can get toy cooking utensils?!” Sanji practically yelled. All of the other kids also started asking questions. “When I said anything and no budget. I meant anything and no budget. So come on we need to get in the car.” Y/n said while laughing a little to herself at their excitement. Then they got in the car and went to go shopping.
(Franky POV)
This lady is really nice! She said we could get anything that has any price! I am sooo going to buy some building kits. We then started following her and to her garage. She had a so many cars! She even had a freaking Lamborghini and limousine!! She then guided us to the car we were going to take and it was a bus! A BUS! The interior was amazing. I really couldn’t wait to go shopping for once.
(Sanji POV)
Her food was incredibly delicious! After breakfast we had to play some game where we said three things. After that she announced we were going shopping. We could not only buy anything we wanted but there was also no budget! I’m so going to buy some toy kitchen stuff. We then went to her garage and there were a lot of cars. But we got to ride in a bus! It was so nice inside. Can’t wait to go shopping now.
(3rd person POV)
“Alright kids I have some rules before we go shopping.” Y/n announced, there were aww’s and aw mans here and there. “So who ever you sit with on the way there you will sit with them on the way back. If your sitting next to the window on the way there the other person will sit next to the window on the way back. We will be going clothes shopping first. We will al stick together so no one stray away. If you see something you want to look at tell me and we can go over there.” The rules went that bad so the kids were happy again. “Um miss y/n why are there black screens on the seat in front of us?” Vivi asked while nami who sat next to her just nodded. “Well there for watching movies. There are also head phones in the pocket underneath the TVs.” Y/n replied witch brought an uproar of yays and yes’. Luffy and usopp watched chicken little. Ace and sabo coco. Nami and vivi watched Robin Hood. Viola and Rebecca watched Alice in wonderland. Kidd and Killer watched Cars. Shachi and Penguin watched phineas and ferb the movie: across the 2nd dimension. Cavidesh and Bartolemaeo watched the peanuts movie. Franky and Sanji watched the muppets. Robin and Koala watched Leroy and Stitch. The Sword in the stone. Who knows what adventures awaits them.

We are still in Luffy's POV btw!
(ɔ◔‿◔)ɔ ♥
It was early evening, and Luffy was walking around the streets of Dawn. The townspeople had gotten the whole town decorated for the music festival. He was sitting next to the statue of his brothers and him enjoying the scenery.
One of the things Luffy misses the most is performing. He was glad that his town loved him and his brothers enough to celebrate their lives through music.
He was sitting on top of the statue watching people go by, enjoying the scenery.
"By the way, Zoro, the town has a memorial concert for the boys at the end of the festival, in case you wanted to know," a dark-haired woman arrived in front of the statue with two others.
One had electric blue hair, and the other was a tanned young man with light green hair. He saw the earrings on his left ear. He jumped down and wanted to play with them.
"Really? "That's nice of them," the green-haired man, most likely named Zoro, replied softly. He turned around to face his older friends. "How long is it before the concert starts?"
Luffy brightened at the question. Even though no one besides Koala and Marco would know, he was glad people were excited to see them perform.
After that one-sided interaction, Luffy left to find his siblings. He wanted to hang out with them for a little bit before he wanted to perform.
(ɔ◔‿◔)ɔ ♥
Around 10 minutes before the show, Marco and Koala got onto the stage to introduce them to the crowd, ready to jam out to their classic hits.
Soon after that, the brothers were on stage ready to perform, mainly for themselves, watching the videos of them singing. After a brief moment of silence, the crowd gave them, and Luffy gave a quick thanks to the crowd and started to perform.
.
.
.
It was an amazing two hours. After everyone went home, Luffy told his two brothers that he would say thank you to the visitors today.
After a few houses, Luffy found the beach house along the shore. After going in, he saw a green-haired man, apparently named Zoro. For unknown reasons, Luffy was intrigued by the man. He looked slightly older than himself. Though Luffy can't really age anymore, he died at 19, and so far is forever 19.
He saw Zoro staring at the ceiling of his room. He noticed the guitar replica someone in the town had as a prize and wanted to inspect it. It was nice to see that he had genuine fans. After all, he was wearing a shirt of him and his brothers. He went over to the edge of the bed.
"Well, he's pretty," Luffy thought to himself. Out of impulse, he reached out to stroke the man's hair.
"What the fu-?" Zoro sat up and looked in Luffy's direction.
"Oh my fucking god," Luffy thought to himself for a second. It wasn't until he realized that Zoro was still looking at him in bewilderment, almost as if he was waiting for him to say something.
"Oh shit, you can see me? Well... anyway, sorry for messing with you, but I was happy to see you at our concert! Especially with our merch, it makes me and my brothers happy!" Luffy spoke to the man with a bright smile, looking calm on the outside. He really touched someone... and they can see him?!
He saw Zoro slap his cheeks and look at him again, "I have to be fucking dreaming aren't I?"
Luffy was frozen at the declaration, that confirmed it, this dude can actually see him, even felt him!
"No, at least I don't think so, to be fair this is very weird to me too, you're not supposed to see me," Luffy said uncharacteristically sheepish.
Zoro was blinking slowly in silence, probably trying to convince himself that this isn't real.
"You're a fan of us, right? I'm Luffy, though you probably know that already, I'm glad that you love my music!" Luffy extended his hand out as a test, maybe it was a fluke or something.
His eyes went wide when he felt the other man shake his hand.
"So I'm not dreaming, and I'm talking to the ghost of a person I look up to, this is crazy," Zoro replied to Luffy with a shy smile.
Luffy finally met someone who can see him, is this his person? He was so excited to talk to someone else he can almost cry with happiness.
"You're Zoro right, I saw you in town earlier around the statue of me and my brothers around your friends, you couldn't see me then, but you're the first person I talked to in so long!" Luffy was bouncing on the bed in glee.
Zoro watched in amazement as he saw his mattress bounce up in down along with the ghost in front of him, so he wasn't losing his mind, that's great.
Zoro looked at Luffy in complete awe, to Luffy it seemed that he was a bit nervous at first. Luffy decided to stay still and calm down a bit for Zoro, even though this is a huge deal for him, he isn't the human guy talking to a dead guy."
How long have you been fans of us?" Luffy asked.
Zoro looked around the room, grabbed his phone, and pulled up his social media profile.
"Since 2017? That's about the time you guys started I believe. I've been a fan for a long time." Zoro spoke as he was flipping through old photos and status updates regarding his liking for the trio.
Luffy was smiling at the pictures that Zoro had on his phone, "Oh wow, Ace and Sabo looked so funny." he spoke with a giggle.
He can't wait to tell Ace and Sabo about Zoro, hopefully, they'll be happy for him, they are his brothers after all.
"Are your brothers around? I don't want to sound harsh but I only see you." Zoro asked.
"Yeah, they are with each other right now, I wanted to thank the visitors for coming, I was over here about to say my thanks, but you saw me." Luffy kept on giggling, unbeknownst to him, that giggle was making Zoro's heart flutter.
(ɔ◔‿◔)ɔ ♥
Zoro and Luffy were talking for hours, it wasn't until Zoro was nodding off that Luffy remembered his brothers are probably waiting for him.
He was about to leave but he felt Zoro's hand brush against him.
"If you're not a dream, you better visit me tomorrow" Zoro spoke sluggishly, Luffy smiled at the man, Zoro didn't even need to ask, this is the first time Luffy spoke to someone in years, he will not let this go to waste.
Luffy just moved his hand away slowly, "Of course! This is fun for me anyway, I'll see you tomorrow." after that, Zoro fell asleep and Luffy left.
.
.
.
He arrived at his house and saw his brothers asleep in the front waiting for him, he was kind of glad, he didn't want to get his head smacked by Ace for worrying him, it's funny because he's dead anyway, nothing can't really happen.
Luffy went and picked his brothers up one at a time and laid them in their respective beds. It wasn't until he was getting ready to nap until the morning he heard Sabo speak up to him.
"What did you say Sab? I thought you were going to sleep for a few more days?" Luffy saw Sabo wiping the non-existent eye boogers away from his eyes.
"You took longer than usual, Ace and I were just wondering what was going on, that's all" Sabo propped up his arm so that he was resting his head on his hand while laying down.
"I want to wait until Ace wakes up to tell you, it's really interesting news, hopefully, life-changing for me." Luffy was basically radiating with light when he spoke.
Sabo smiled at Luffy, it was nice to hear new things from his siblings in general since they can't do much as ghosts. At Luffy's words, he decided to sleep for a few days, might as well since Ace is the hardest to wake up in general, might as well rest for a little bit.
"Okay then I'm going to sleep for a bit, Koala is going out of town for a few days so I guess just wake me up if Marco stops by to see Ace okay?" Sabo said before he fell asleep.
Luffy just nodded, he's going to be up by tomorrow anyway, he has Zoro to talk to!
Though one thing that made Luffy think was that he saw Zoro in town before, if he doesn't live here, would Luffy be able to talk to him again later?
He shook his head at the thought, no negativity right now.
Luffy finally laid down and closed his eyes, hopefully, Zoro can still see him tomorrow.

A/N: Sorry guys, didn't mean to wait this long for a new chapter but I injured my finger at work and I finally able to type again. I'm also going to reply to my reviews from now on, I like seeing your feedback so much. I hope you enjoy this chapter! This is also going to be from Luffy's POV all the way up until the moment we left off from.
(ɔ◔‿◔)ɔ ♥
Luffy was bouncing off the walls, literally, being a ghost, he didn't have to follow the rules of physics, unlike humans. He loved the fact that the people in his town didn't demolish his house, to be fair he is still a celebrity, even in death.
Luffy was waiting for his brother to arrive, while his other one was dead to the world, (pun intended), snoring his ass off on his childhood bed. After a few more minutes of hopping around, he felt a hand grab him by his collar.
"Luf, you're being too loud, what are you even excited for this early in the morning?" Ace, Luffy's freckled face brother asked as he was wiping the sleep away from his eyes.
"It's 1 p.m. already! also ghosts don't need to sleep," Luffy said teasingly as he was still floating above his brother, after a bit of bickering, the two noticed their brother Sabo floating into the room.
"I've only been gone for 25 minutes stop arguing, anyway Luffy, why did you want to wait until Ace woke up to tell me something?" Sabo asked as he got comfortable on his old bed.
Luffy smiled blinded the other two, "Remember, it's the anniversary of our deaths soon, and the music festival is coming up, I hear the town is planning on doing something." Luffy said excitedly, even though he can't interact with them.
Ace looked at Luffy confused, "They've been doing it since we passed 2 years ago, why are you so surprised?" Ace asked.
Luffy just rolled his eyes and comically dangled off his brother's shoulders, "Well duh Ace! It's going to be different this year, I can feel it! Maybe my person will come?"
A brief silence was felt in the room, there were puzzled looks on the elder's faces.
"Humor me, what feeling are you getting?" Sabo looked at his twin in concern, Ace and he found their partners before they passed, so being able to be bonded with their partner after death was only natural... but Luffy didn't get the chance to find his one and only, and they weren't sure if Luffy would ever have that chance
. Luffy got up from Ace's shoulders and flew to his bed in the room, he uncharacteristically got a bit sentimental.
"Well ... it's rare to have a soulmate, I know that already. I remember how you both felt when you realized you could both still touch and speak to Marco and Koala." Luffy held his tears in, he was a very social person, and the fact that he can't have a friend or partner to talk to and actually touch... felt very lonely.
"I feel this huge bubble in my throat when I think about the festival coming up, I wonder if something will happen to me for once?" Luffy said dejectedly, it was worrying his brothers.
Ace and Sabo knew that Luffy was a hyperactive-social butterfly, and it made the two feel guilty, even if it wasn't their fault.
For Ace, Marco has already made his name known in their town and is a businessman that resides here, so Ace doesn't have to worry about being alone. Sabo just started dating Koala before he passed, but of course, they were destined to be.
Koala happened to move to Dawn Island to set up her karate dojo and Sabo managed to date her before the accident, but because they were destined to be, it was like he never left her.
So Luffy was alone, he had a lot of friends sure, but he couldn't talk to them anymore. None of his old friends visited his grave, though he was still grateful for the fans or strangers that wished him well in the afterlife
"Okay sorry, I made the mood a bit sad, but I'm, happy for you two y'know? I still have you guys, so i'm not lonely at all." Luffy said to the two, he wasn't lying exactly.
He isn't lonely because he has his older brothers, but when they spend time with their loved ones, that's when Luffy feels lonely.

After a few more hours, the trio fell asleep, while it wasn't necessary, the three felt comfortable with their mortal habits.
Though dreaming was rare for ghosts, it's very special because, unlike many people who probably forget what they dreamt about a few minutes after they wake up, ghosts get to keep their dreams as if they were a memory.
Speaking of, Luffy was fast asleep and snoring as loudly as he can be, but then he felt something coming.
He was about to have a dream and he did not want to mess this up, it was a few moments of waiting before he saw a shadowed face.
Luffy felt overjoyed, he finally gets to talk to someone, even if it is a dream. Luffy was trying to pay attention but it seemed that the dream he was having wanted to keep secrets from him as well, 'stupid dream' he thought before he was brought to a change in scenery
He was sitting on a balcony facing the mysterious figure.
"So how long are you staying here?" he asked suddenly, having no idea why he started with that, maybe he'll ask Sabo when he woke up, he rather not think too hard about it.
"I think the whole summer, I go back to school for the last time around September, " a baritone voice replied, all Luffy can see was a small smirk on the mystery man's face.
"Well make sure to come back, I'll miss you, you're the first company I personally had in a while," Luffy spoke again, not aware what words are coming from his mouth.
He was trying to not wake up, 'does this mean this is viz? viso?... oh whatever, a future thingy?' he thought to himself. He focused again when he felt a touch on his hand.
"I promise," the man spoke, he curled his pinky finger around Luffy after those words were spoken, and Luffy was now wide awake.
"Hey Luffy, wake up," Ace was shaking Luffy's shoulder.
It has been a few days since they last spoke, of course sleeping for a few hours for a ghost would actually mean a few days have passed in the human realm.
"Marco and Koala are stopping by, they wanted some of our input." Ace told the younger.
"Why did you wake me up then, they can only see you two since you're both bonded pairs?" Luffy was now rubbing the sleep from his eyes.
"Well we can still have your input, we would just need to let them know what you say." Sabo said as he was getting 'ready' as if he hasn't been wearing the same clothes forever.
"Sure, sure fine, just let me know when they stop by, I was having a nice dream." Luffy moped slightly.
Then in one second, both brothers had their attention fully on Luffy.
"You had a dream!? What was it about?" Ace asked, he had stars in his eyes
. "Geez Luf, you can't say that out of the blue, that's big news." Sabo sat next to Luffy with a big smile.
'Oh yeah, I forgot it was rare to dream already' Luffy thought.
"Well?! aren't you going to tell us?" Ace and Sabo both asked
. Luffy smiled at the two, after explaining the very short dream to the two, they heard a knock on the door.
Ace got up to get the door while Sabo was thinking, "that sounds like a vision Luffy? Were there any other hints?"
'VISON, that's the word' Luffy thought for a second before replying.
From what he could gather from the dream, it was somewhere close because he saw the statues that the town made for them from the balcony, they were in a beach house most likely. And also...
"OH SHIT!" Luffy smiled so hard that if he were mortal, his cheeks would've definitely ripped.
"I think it is a vision Sab! I can see the decorations for the festival that's coming up!" Luffy was giddy at the information.
Ace overheard the two but open the door for their guest, "Hello Koala" he smiled at the woman before she walked in.
"Hey, tiger!" Ace was now faced to face with Marco, of course used to his antics, Marco just snorted and pushed Ace away to say hello to the others.
"Hey Sabo, and Luffy if you're here?" Marco spoke as he sat down on Ace's bed, Koala was on Sabo's.
"Hey Pineapple!" Luffy said to the mortal's deaf ears, of course, Ace and Sabo heard it just fine.
"He said hi back Marco" Sabo told the man while Ace was snickering at his boyfriend's nickname.
After some small talk, Marco and Koala told the brothers that they were hosting the concert for the festival this year and they wanted to ask their partners what songs they should pick.
After a few suggestions from Ace and Sabo, they took some from Luffy, now aware of how their brother feels about their relationships, they definitely wanted to include him as much as they could as they were all family, even if the two humans could only see their partners..
.
.
. .After the twins bid their lovers goodbye, Luffy was still thinking about the man in his dream.
'Is he my soulmate? He touched me? Luffy thought to himself.
Well, he'll sleep again, maybe by the next time he wakes up, it'll be time for the festival.

A/N: sorry that Zoro is slightly OOC in this story, but he's supposed to be a fanboy you know? Anyway he's head over heels for Luffy in canon so it's not that different, right? lol?
(ɔ◔‿◔)ɔ ♥
Zoro was walking around town with Robin and Franky, apparently, the town was having a festival today.
"It's interesting, the amount of effort the townspeople are preparing for the festival, I was just reading a book about it from the town's library," Robin said in slight awe, Franky was impressed as well. "Yeah they're building a lot of things for this festival pretty quickly, and it looks stable too."
Zoro chuckled internally a bit, of course, Franky and Robin's hobbies will never rest, Zoro was just happy to go to the city without too much supervision. While he apparently "gets lost" a lot, he's glad that Robin and Franky came with him, they give him way more slack than the others, (yes, because walking in a straight line without getting lost is an achievement).
He finally spotted the object he wanted to see since his first night at the beach house, he had to wait a few days because the others had group plans. He saw that huge statue that caught his eyes a few nights ago, there he was, standing in front of a memorial of his favorite band.
Considering the festival is a music festival, it made a lot of sense for the group to be the center of the festivities. Flowers, letters, food, and more were left in front of the statue, right above it was a plaque, 'The Pride of Dawn Island' is what it read. From what Robin told him earlier, a lot of people that left gifts for the departed trio weren't just fans, those three were kind to the town before they were famous and after they reached stardom. It's a reason why Zoro likes them, celebrities that aren't jackasses and didn't let fame get to their head, the support they have from the city is just proof of it.
Franky whistled at the statue, impressed by the quality, Robin smiled at the young adult before her. Zoro isn't the type of person to idolize someone if they don't deserve it.
"By the way Zoro, the town has a memorial concert for the boys at the end of the festival, in case if you wanted to know" Robin smiled as he saw the green-haired man shoulder's raise with hidden excitement.
"Really? That's nice of them," Zoro replied softly, he turned around the face his older friend. "How long is it before the concert starts?"
Robin pulled out a pamphlet from Franky's back pocket, the older two looking over the itinerary.
"It starts around 10 pm bro, so you got plenty of time to relax before then," Franky said as he was looking at the other festivities listed.
It was currently 7 pm, and the small group was looking around and taking time to shop around and play some classic carnival games.
It wasn't long before the stack of prizes Franky won for Robin started to pile up, meanwhile, Zoro only got one prize, a pretty good one too.
Now it wasn't a surprise to anyone that most carnival games are almost impossible to win, especially the basketball free throw game. The number of people Zoro saw struggling to make more than 5 shots would be embarrassing if it wasn't rigged, but Zoro had a backup plan.
He was eyeing the replica guitar hanging on the prize corner, all he had to do was make 20 shots, and 20 shots he did. It didn't help the carnival workers that Zoro was basically a 6 ft. wall of pure muscle, all he had to do was squeeze some of the air out for the ball to fit through the 'smaller than normal' hoop.
So now he was carrying proudly a replica of Luffy's guitar. "Why don't we stop by the beach house for a moment to drop everything off, especially you Zoro, I doubt you want that shiny guitar to get into an accident," Robin told the two as she offered to carry some of the prizes that were won for her.
The two agreed and by the time they made it back to the beach house, it was 9 pm, Zoro was finishing getting dressed and he looked in the mirror in his guest room.
Wearing the shirt that Zoro waited weeks before the trip was finally being worn, it wasn't too tight nor loose, fitting his build just right.
Now after rushing Robin, Franky, and now his other friends, they made it to the concert venue.
"I'm actually surprised we got some good seats!" Usopp said as they were waiting for the concert to start.
All of his friends had a seat next to each other, a surprising feat since the concert started in thirty-ish minutes when they arrived and his friend group consisted of 9 people including himself.
(ɔ◔‿◔)ɔ ♥
"Do you know what songs they're going to play moss-head?" Sanji asked as he blew smoke out of his mouth, his other friends also looked at him for an answer.
"How am I supposed to know pervy -cook, I just found out they were having this concert a few hours ago." Zoro replied while rolling his eyes in annoyance to piss off his 'friend' more.
Thankfully, Chopper, Usopp, Jinbe, Nami, and Vivi were sitting between Zoro and Sanji so they don't try to murder each other.
Before any of the two can say anything else, the lights around the stage lit up and a pair walked up the stage.
"The show doesn't start for another 5 minutes, wonder what's going on?" Brook, who was sitting next to Sanji questioned.
"Hello everyone! I hope you're having a great night tonight!" a short but energetic woman greeted the audience.
"I'm Koala and my partner here is Marco" Marco waved towards the crowd.
"Before the show starts, we wanted to have a brief moment of silence for our superstars before the show begins, if that's alright with guys-yoi" Marco, the taller of the two spoke towards the crowd.
The crowd was responsive to the two hosts, "Now since everyone has different beliefs here, we aren't going to do a joint prayer or anything like that, but just have a nice minute to say your thought to the boys before we get this show on the road alright?" Koala smiled at the excitement of the crowd.
The ambient music playing at the festival stopped and the stage lights moved from the hosts to a mural of the band.
Luffy was smiling so brightly, an arm around his brothers. Ace was on the left, having a small smile but had his elbow resting upon his brother Sabo. Sabo had a smile that was a mixture of Luffy's and Ace's, wrapping his free arm around Luffy.
Zoro was relieved that he didn't hear a prayer, his friends most likely felt the same since none of them have a religious bone in their body.
Everyone had their eyes closed and it was complete silence, Zoro decided to close his eyes as well, he might as well be respectful.
"Thanks for coming!" a bright voice rang through Zoro's head.
Zoro opened his eyes quickly, when he realized everyone was still silent he just assumed that he's been hearing things lately. Shaking his head he closed his eyes again, enjoying the brief silence once more.
After another minute of silence, the light faced the hosts again.
"Alright, thank you everyone for coming tonight, and enjoy the show!" Koala said before Marco and her left the stage.
Not even seconds after, a huge projector came out, and then the show started.
Multi-colored lights were coloring the night sky and Zoro was having the time of his life. He and his friends were singing along to their favorite songs.
(ɔ◔‿◔)ɔ ♥
It was an amazing two hours, ending the concert with 'Andromeda', one of Zoro's favorite songs. After the concert was over and the group made it back to the beach house, Zoro felt a little sad.
"Okay guys, we're heading to bed, tonight was fun!" Nami spoke in a happy but tired voice as she brought Vivi with her.
Everyone else also said their goodnights to each other and Zoro was now in his room.
He was laying on his bed, staring at the ceiling, before he felt a hand touch his hair.
"What the fu-" Zoro sat up and saw something, no someone in front of him.
"Oh shit, you can see me? Well...anyway sorry for messing with you, but I was happy seeing you at our concert! Especially with our merch, it makes me and my brothers happy!"
Zoro slapped his cheeks and was so surprised to see that he was not hallucinating...
"I have to be fucking dreaming aren't I?" Zoro said as he put a hand to his face and sighed.

Two weeks passed by in a flash, summer break had officially started for the students of Grandline State University, Zoro was packing his stuff last minute and trying to hurry up before Nami and Vivi come by and pick him up. The last thing he needed to have was Nami yelling or smacking the shit out of his head.
Speak of the devil, his phone was buzzing, he dug it out of his pocket to see a text from Nami.
"From: Little Witch at 12:15PM
You have 5 minutes to finish packing, were almost to your dorm"
Zoro rubbed his face at the threat, thankfully he was almost done, it helped that his kendo equipment was already neatly bound together. He was packing the last of his clothes and then went to put the final shirt in, the shirt of his favorite band that came in the mail yesterday. Zoro was panicked when he got the email after the day everyone was together saying,
"Customer Roronoa Zoro,
We apologize for the notice, order #11090505 has been delayed, for more information click this link below"
He wanted to smack his face when he first got it, but after waiting, he finally placed the last shirt in his suitcase. Exactly 2 minutes later he heard knocking at his door.
He picked up his kendo bag and suitcase and walked towards the door, opening the door, he was greeted by Nami and her girlfriend Vivi.
"That's everything your bringing Zoro?" Nami looked at his suitcase with a skeptical look.
"I don't need to bring a whole store with me for a trip Nami," Nami rolled her eyes at the remark.
"Well we have a huge R.V. so you can put your stuff in the back, you're the first one we picked up too, so you get first dibs on where to sit," Vivi told Zoro as she gave him a brief side-hug to say hello and then went to pop open the trunk for Zoro.
When Zoro walked into the R.V. he looked around and was impressed at the quality of the vehicle, "Nice R.V. Vivi," Zoro briefly said before he found the couch towards the back; In no time he fell asleep as soon as he lay on the cushion.
When Zoro woke up again, it was due to Usopp and Chopper fighting over the last seat, he saw everyone already in the vehicle as well.
It was starting to get on his nerves, (as if he wasn't a short fuse anyway when it came to his friends) he just wanted to nap the whole way, or at least most of it.
"Usopp didn't he help you get an 'A' on your last assignment, let him choose where he wants to sit before I make you sit with me." Zoro saw Usopp roll his eyes and let Chopper take the seat.
"Thanks, bro," Chopper got settled and now everything was ready to go. Nami will be in control of directions, while Franky and Jinbe will take turns driving.
"Okay guys get comfortable, Dawn Island is roughly 12 hours away, maybe 10 if we don't run into idiots on the road," Nami told the others in the back.
Franky was the first to drive, Jinbe was going to nap so he can have energy for his turn, and Chopper was playing a 3-way hand-console game with Usopp and Sanji. Robin and Brook were both reading their respective books, and Vivi was also napping so she can take over for Nami when they take a break.
Now that Zoro knows that his friends are all busy, he felt at ease, now on to take a nap.
(ɔ◔‿◔)ɔ ♥
"So how long are you staying here?" a voice that didn't have a face started speaking, the voice sounded comforting and loving.
"I think the whole summer, I go back to school for the last time around September, " Zoro spoke to the anonymous figure.
"Well make sure to come back, I'll miss you, you're the first company I personally had in a while," Zoro looked at them, he grabbed their hand, and held it.
"I promise," after those words were spoken all there was left was a light giggle.
.
.
.
"Zoro, you might want to wake up before Sanji hits you," a gruff voice was talking
"What?" Zoro was trying to process what he heard
"You warned him Jinbe, at least you tried... NOW WAKE UP MARIMO" and just after that, Zoro woke up to an unpleasantly familiar kick to his side.
"SHIT-BROWS! EVER HEARD OF SHAKING SOMEONE AWAKE?!" Zoro yelled at the blond's face.
"Alright! that's enough boys," Robin closed her book and looked at the two rivals smiling.
"You unsurprisingly slept the whole time Zoro, we're here, help us take our stuff into the house," Nami said as she walked out hand in hand with Vivi.
Zoro sighed, he couldn't get peace for 5 minutes. After a few hours, everyone was completely settled in.
After Sanji cooked everyone and meal, everyone went their separate ways for the night. Zoro was in his room, he immediately opened the window doors towards the balcony. Feeling the nice weather around him, he genuinely felt relaxed, Vivi's beach house had amazing scenery.
'Oh shit," Zoro's eyes widened in surprise, towards the city Zoro was able to see a statue. Standing proud as the 3 lovely boys from Dawn Island were D3. Ace had a bass guitar in his hands, Sabo was on the drums, and Luffy was in the front with his guitar. They were built to perfection in his eyes, while he respected Ace and Sabo, he couldn't help but only look at Luffy's smiling figure.
After realizing he was outside for too long, Zoro went to relax in his bed.
"Now what was that dream I had earlier?" he asked himself as he closed his eyes again for the night.
"Shishishi-" Zoro sat up and furrowed his brows at the noise, after picking the wax he had in his ear, he laid back down to sleep...
Wondering what's to come tomorrow.

Walking down the road with an umbrella in hand, Roronoa Zoro, a college student was currently listening to his favorite band while the rain poured down heavily on him and his friends.
"I still can't believe that this campus doesn't allow cars on school grounds." Nami, one of Zoro's friends was complaining as her shoes were getting wet. The others walking with him were his friends, Usopp, Tony (but everyone calls him Chopper), Jinbe and..... Sanji... if he can consider that dumbass a friend, yeah...over his dead body.
"It's okay Nami, I'll shield you from the rain." said the dumbass swooning over the redhead, Zoro sighed and turned the volume up on his phone so he can drown out Sanji's words.
He was listening to his favorite band, 'D3', a band that didn't stick to one genre, He was happy because he recently manage to buy a limited edition shirt that has the member's autographs on it.
It wasn't long before Zoro and his friends made it to campus, while they were all drying off, he saw a few more friends walk up.
3 staff members of the college came and greeted the almost-soaked bunch. The tall raven-haired woman, Robin smiled at all of them.
"I'm assuming none of you guys saw the weather warning and that classes were canceled today," Robin said with a small smile, in just seconds the group of young adults were sulking.
"My shoes are wet and I didn't even need to be here," Nami said as she found a chair to sit on in the campus lobby to wring out whatever she can out of her shoes. Meanwhile, Usopp and Sanji were checking their phones to see the message from the school.
Brook, the school's music professor just started laughing at the group, "Why don't we go to my classroom and warm up with some tea? Might as well wait until the weather calms down."
Franky, the school's number one handyman, went to get blankets from his 'stash' for everyone since they would be hanging out for a while. In a few minutes, everyone was in Brook's classroom making their selves comfortable.
"Wait, so if classes were canceled, why are you guys here?" Usopp asked aloud.
Franky and Robin were cuddled with each other, while Brook was still making tea for everyone. "Robin always shows up early for work, so I go with her and nap in her classroom before class starts, Brook is here because he's an early bird too and just happens to live 5 minutes away from campus," Franky answered the question.
The others just nodded, Usopp decided to work on homework he totally didn't put off last minute.
"Usopp? You guys didn't finish Professor Smoker's homework didn't you?" Chopper sighed as he grabbed his notebook from his backpack and went over to help him.
Everyone was doing their own thing, Zoro was napping still listening to his music before he felt someone kick his leg...hard.
"OW! What the hell Curly-brow!" Zoro yelled as he grabbed his knee, he took off his earbuds to glare at the man. Sanji just rolled his eyes and took out his vape to take a hit.
"Nami was asking you something moss-head," Sanji said as he blew smoke out of his mouth. Nami just rolled her eyes at the two, "Anyway, I was asking you Zoro, what are you doing for summer break? This is the last summer we have before we graduate."
Zoro thought, he didn't really have friends or family outside of the friend groups that were sitting with him currently. "Not much, the only thing eventful thing happening to me is that my shirt is coming in the mail in a few days," Zoro said plainly.
Nami smiled, Zoro was always like an annoying older brother to her, it was nice to see him be passionate about other things besides his kendo training, even if it was a band.
"It's sad, they were all our ages when they passed," Chopper commented while he was trying to help Usopp with his final assignment still.
Ah yes, Zoro's favorite band, all the members are dead due to a boating accident which led the three brothers to drown 2 years ago.
"The frontman was your favorite right Zoro? Ah, what was his name?" Brook asked as he tried to remember the names of the three younger artists.
"Luffy, his brothers were Ace and Sabo," Zoro replied solemnly, the group looked at him. They remembered how destroyed Zoro was when he heard of their passing in class a few years ago, even though Zoro would never admit it.
"Well Zoro, luckily for you my amazing Vivi, planned an outing for all of us for our summer break. Her family has a huge beach house on Dawn Island, that's the place where they were born weren't they?" Nami said with a knowing smile on her face.
To say Zoro was surprised about that would be saying the sky wasn't blue, he was interested from the first part of the offer but now that he has a chance to go see Luffy's home island. "Sure, why not?" he replied calmly even though his friends knew he was ecstatic on the inside.
"Well, there's only one week of classes left? When do we plan on going?" Robin asked Nami.
"I'll send you guys more detailed information in our group chat, but Vivi said roughly in 2 weeks," Nami answered.
Chopper was excited, he was shaking Usopp with happiness, out of the years they all knew each other, this is their first vacation together!
Sanji didn't need any convincing because "the ladies" were going, and Jinbe was happy as well, Jinbe hasn't been to a beach in so long.
Robin and Franky were happy since it will be a nice vacation for them and their friends, working on campus was draining.
"You would like it there too Brook! Vivi's family has the biggest music room I have ever seen." Nami told the older man.
"Well if you insist, Yohoho" he laughed.
Well, it was set, Zoro and his friends were going on vacation and he will get to see Luffy and his brothers home.
The weather was clearing up as they were finishing their conversation, and everyone decided to go home since it was the only chance they got before the weather gets crazy again, or at least according to Nami.
By the time Zoro got home, he was sleepy (like always). Before he knew it, he was already snoring on the couch of his dorm.

Next Chapter: On Melancholy Hill
“Hey Lulu, I'm sorry it took me so long to come back,” Sabo, Fake-Sabo, Sabo said softly, all the affection in the world hidden in his words.
And suddenly Ace was ten years old again and he and Sabo were coming home from a hunt in the forest without Luffy and Luffy was crying because he thought they had abandoned him and Sabo was consoling him with kind words Ace wasn't capable of and all was right in the world.
The room was silent, everyone stared at Luffy and Sabo/Fake-Sabo, trusting Luffy's judgment.
“It doesn't matter, you're back” Luffy replied, taking Sabo in his arms and smiling like the idiot he was.
Sabo, still chained, patted him awkwardly on the shoulder, his arm bent like a T-Rex.
“I'm back,” Sabo said and his words sounded like a promise.
“Forgive my vocabulary but what the fuck ?” Trafalgar asked, his sleeve still smoking. If he didn't want to kill Ace before, he definitely did now. Ace cowered before his glare.
“Ace, Ace, look, Sabo is still alive!” Luffy exclaimed, turning to Ace.
Ace approached Sabo cautiously, like someone would approach a wounded animal or a disappearing mirage. Only, he didn't know which of them was which. When he was close enough, Ace reached out his hand towards Sabo. Like a mirror reflection, Sabo copied his gesture until their fingers were only millimeters apart. Time stood still for a moment as Ace held his breath.
It was Sabo who took the first step towards, Ace making the first contact. Their fingers intertwined, hesitantly at first. He could feel the warmth of Sabo's hand under his leather gloves, surprising Ace who was expecting the cold touch of a ghost. It didn't take less for Ace to throw himself into Sabo's arms, crushing Luffy between them. Sabo staggered under the weight, and collapsed to the ground, his brothers in his arms. The red-haired woman took a step to the side to avoid being swept away with them.
Sabo was there, Sabo was really there.
Ace buried his face in Sabo's shoulder, covering his shirt with tears. Sabo laughed, still in disbelief, and the vibrations of his laughter resonated through Ace, warming his core all the way to his toes. Stuck between the two of them, Luffy stretched out his arms and wrapped them around his brothers, pulling them even closer to him. A missing part of him came together, completing a puzzle whose pieces he thought he had lost.
“Okay, can someone explain to me what's going on?” asked Trafalgar.
“I don't care, yesterday I had no brothers and today I have two,” said Luffy. “Ace and Sabo are there, that's all that matters to me.”
“I give up, you can all die for all I care. It doesn't concern me anymore,” declared Trafalgar, throwing his hands in the air, as he left the room.
At The Dawn of Time, ASL Reunion
The will of the D may have been a mere echo of the past, but its bearers were anything but. Standing in front of her lover's execution platform, Portgas D. Rouge vowed never to lose a single member of her family again. (She just hadn't taken into account that her family would be so large.) OR How many traumatized children can Rouge adopt?
I'm fascinated by Rouge's character and she's unironically become one of my favorite characters in One Piece while writing this, which is tragic considering we only see her for about two minutes. But if Oda won't give me content on Rouge, I'll do it myself.
Come Hell or High Water is a story that begins with Roger's execution 24 years ago and continues to the present day based on the concept that Portgas D. Rouge survives the Baterilla massacre and raises Portgas D. Ace as well as Shanks and Buggy.
Throughout the story, Rouge also adopts every child she meets in need of a parental figure (i.e. half of the One Piece characters). It's a family-centric story where everyone survives their tragic backstories with romance in the background far away and lots of fluff.
This story will cover topics regarding child development into adulthood while healing from past trauma, this includes fear of abandonment, self-esteem issues, child abuse, codependency, etc. It also deals with grief and (unhealthy) coping mechanisms especially in the first chapters following Roger's death.
(Disclaimer, I'm not an expert on any of those subjects except for the fact that I was a child once and had to grow up. The end result is mostly fine so I can consider it a success.)
I'll be referencing events from the manga as they happen like new characters and such. It won't be anything major until we caught up with the main timeline (unless specified at the beginning of each chapter), but if you'd rather not be spoiled, I understand.
If you have any more questions about this AU, feel free to ask me, I always love talking about my brainchild <3
Three One Piece story ideas I might (or might not) write someday:
- The Faces I See In My Sleep: Ever since he was taken in by the Revolutionary Army, Sabo draws the same two faces over and over again without ever knowing their names. A little boy who smiles like the sun and another with stormy eyes and freckles like stars. And when Portgas D. Ace makes his debut on the high seas, Sabo can't help but notice the similarities between his wanted poster and the boy in his drawings.
- Pieces of Me: Nami had spent more than half her life serving Arlong. Arlong had stolen her mother, her childhood, and her freedom. He had taken everything from her. Her maps, her time, her hope, and her blood. Little by little, he had ripped away essential pieces of her, leaving behind only a broken, empty shell, just functional enough to be useful to him. But with the help of her crew, Nami becomes whole again, regaining the pieces of herself that Arlong stole from her.
- My Father Is The Worst Man Alive (And I’m His Favorite Daughter): After touring Wano, Yamato sets sail to see the world. His first stop: the grave of the friend he never got to know, the only person in the world who could understand the burden of being born of a monster, the pirate who gave him his first taste of freedom. Portgas D. Ace. It's been years since Yamato saw his vivre card go up in flames, but better late than never.
If this is something you would like to read, please let me know so I can motivate myself to write it. And if this is something you would like to write, please let me know so I can read it!
Before bed.
(a small Kobymeppo fluff fic, if you will)
Koby looked over towards Helmeppo, setting aside his book. “..What?”
The blonde, laying beside him in bed with his arms cushioning his head, turns to gaze up at the pinkette. “Is it too soon to get sentimental?” He toots.
Koby shook his head, turning his body more towards Helmeppo, “N-No, no of course not,” he answered with a soft, reassuring smile. “You just surprised me, can you ask me again?”
Helmeppo hums, gazing up at the ceiling, “Do you think..we'd be together in every universe?” He asks, his voice mellow and calm, most likely from the extensive training they have done today.
Koby's smile widens as he extends his arm out, grasping Helmeppo's hand, “I do.”
“And you're sure of that?”
“Well..” Koby pauses, thinking over his next words, “We've already met because of unique circumstances. I think we're destined to meet, no matter in what life.” he confirms, intertwining their fingers together.
Helmeppo stares at their hands tangled together, Koby has built up a lot more calluses over the years compared to him, maybe because he always wears gloves..but it's most likely because of Koby's training.
Helmeppo smiles back at the other marine, giving Koby's hand a squeeze, “I think so too.”
Koby chuckles, “I'm glad.” he replies softly, shifting down to lay down in bed next to Helmeppo, leaning forward to plant a chaste kiss over his lips.
Helmeppo hums as he kisses Koby back, “You've gotten more confident at kissing.” he notes.
Koby hums back, placing his head atop of Helmeppos chest, “When you're constantly attacked by your partner's affection, you tend to grow used to it.” Koby teases lightly, an electric spark of playfulness playing in his eyes that earns him a glare from Helmeppo.
“You're saying it like I'm torturing you.” Helmeppo hisses with an annoyed smirk that held no venom.
“Mmm..well that's certainly one word for it.” Koby says with a grin, lightly flicking Helmeppo's nose.
Helmeppo grabs ahold of Koby's wrist, “Oh I'll show you torture.” he grumbles as he flips them over, earning a giggle from Koby, which only increased as the blondes slender hand travelled to his sides.
Koby squirmed under Helmeppo as he laughed, his face dusting in a light pink that Helmeppo always thought complemented his hair perfectly “A-Alright! I'm sorry- Meppo, please s-stop!” Koby squealed between laughs, lightly kicking Helmeppos leg.
Helmeppo's mischievous smirk mellowed out as he finally decided to put an end to his ministrations, resting his hand on the bit of Koby's exposed stomach. “I guess I can forgive you.”
Koby snorts, “You're such a child sometimes.” he mumbles, swinging his arms around his neck to pull the blonde down for a deeper kiss, a passionate one, exchanging unspoken affection between them that couldn't be captured with words.
Soon enough they were a heap of sheets and limbs once again, embracing each other in the bed that was originally assigned for Helmeppo but has long been claimed by the both of them now.
Comfortable silence grew between them, listening to each other's breathing and heartbeats playing a gentle melody just for the two of them.
“I hope we'll be married soon.”
Helmeppo for a second didn't even react to the sentence, so absurd in the moment that his mind didn't even register it. When it did hit him finally though, all exhaustion was forgotten as he shot up in bed, looking down at Koby whose face was coated red, as if he wasn't the one who just uttered the words.
“Eh? EH??”
“Ah..that sounded way less serious in my head, n-nevermind.” Koby murmurs with a bashful smile, trying to turn his head away.
“No- No no no, you don't just get to say stuff like that and then say nevermind!” Helmeppo squawks, grabbing ahold of the younger man's shoulders and shaking them gently.
“Were…Are you serious? I mean.. You'd. Want that?” He asks slowly, his voice trailing off as a flush comes over his face, matching Koby's.
Koby smiles gently, looking up towards the blonde, “I-I am…I know it's only been two years but. I just feel like.. there's nothing that could possibly change my mind about my feelings towards you, I want us to be partners both in the force and in life. So, I want us to be as close as we can possibly be..if that's something you'd want, of course.” he explains.
Helmeppo sits practically stunned at the Captain's declaration, feeling a familiar sting and hotness behind his eyes. Before he knows it he's throwing himself onto Koby, hugging the wind out of him, “Yes! Yes of course I want that!”
Koby chuckles, though his voice also wavers with emotions at the blonde's blatant approval of the idea, “You know you should save that for when I actually propose.” he says, returning the embrace.
“I don't care! I'm already saying yes beforehand!” Helmeppo exclaims, only squeezing harder and peppering Koby's face in a whirlwind of kisses.
Koby stops helmeppo by cupping his face with one hand, smiling brightly, “Thank you.. I love you, Meppo.” he murmurs.
“I love you too Ko’.. More than anything else in the world.” the blonde whispers back, their lips meeting again in a slow dance of love and devotion, an invisible chain wrapping around them, ensuring they'll never part ways no matter what life might throw at them.
Chapter two of my Peaky Blinders AceSabo au is out! please enjoy lol
just as the title says- this is a fic where Marco ended up on Cocoyashi village right after Arlong took it over.
Turns out, Thatch getting a devil fruit with Marco in the same room as him turned out to be a bad combination that resulted in Marco halfway across the world on an island he’d never even heard of helping people he had no intentions of helping.
Really- a freshly pillaged village should be the least of his worry’s. He should've just got through the time it took for his family to pick him up minding his own business.
But- when a malnourished ginger haired little girl that was treated like the village pariah somehow wormed her way into his heart without his permission, he realized he couldn’t ‘mind his own business’ anymore. Couldn’t ignore the problems making themselves known on the island.
And when he found out just who made the girl the way she was? well- he never claimed to be a saint, and he was certain it was about time the ‘Arlong Pirates’ learned why messing with family of the Whitebeard’s was the worst mistake they could’ve made.
Or
A fic where Marco ends up adopting Nami freshly after Arlong takes over the island- ‘why?’ you ask? Simple really, an idea popped into my brain and refused to let go, so now i must write it. Here ya go friends ;D
this is my fic, so please enjoy!
Some art for my AceSabo Peaky Blinders inspired AU
This is older art
Here's a link to the fic if curious!
Just like the title says this is a Peaky Blinder's AceSabo AU mostly inspired off of season one Tommy and Grace's love story!
you do not need to know Peaky Blinders nor have watched the show to read this
Me and my friend have been working on it for a while, so i do hope you enjoy!
“you’re not from here, are you?” The ravenette asked, and it was with a tone accompanied by more judgment than genuine curiosity. And it had Sabo’s frown deepening as well.
“I’m not,” the blonde answered simply, “but I promise you that’ll hardly matter.”
Ace huffed and shook his head, “The fact that you think that is exactly why it matters, but if you’re so confident then prove me wrong. Last the week and we’ll see where that takes you.”
Sabo tilted his head as well, eyes narrowed slightly, “a challenge, then?” he hummed.
Ace’s eyes narrowed in turn as he nodded, “Fine, a challenge.”
Or
Sabo accepted this job despite knowing it would be the most difficult job of his career. And he was only proven right when he met the man in charge of the largest gang in the Grandline, Portgas D. Ace.
Or or
Loosely- extremely loose, it was a suggestion really- Season one Peaky blinder’s/Tommy and Grace’s love story inspired AU that me and my friend had come up with randomly and i had no choice but to write, or it would haunt me. Also! You do not need to have watched peaky blinders to read this!
Please Enjoy!
Summary-
A domestic oneshot of Zoro and Luffy's life after the events of Book Two.
you have to read both Book one and Book Two to understand this.
this is a late birthday gift of my friends @juststubborn i hope you enjoy, Blu!
Decided to add the other two, it's messy, but ngl I love it
Summary-
The Jester blinked at him, before he sighed and slipped his glove off. Raising his hand to grab the others, “okay, then. It’s a deal-” as soon as their skin met, both froze. The shock seemingly forcing Jester’s words to fall silent on his lips.
Like his hand had been burnt, Ace snapped it away. Eyes wide and brow furrowed as he stared at the villain in a new light.
Impossible!
It was impossible!
There was no way that could be right-
The villain just stared at him with a gaping mouth, “...what?”
Ace couldn’t help but agree, “fuck.”
The Jester then stared at him with a furrowed brow, “you-” he then lifted his gaze back to Ace’s, “you’re my soulmate?”
Shit.
Or
When Ace started working under the Whitebeard Hero Agency, he thought the biggest secret he'd have to keep would be his- illegal- nightly activities as a defender of his district... not that he was the soulmate to the number two villain in the whole city... maybe it wasn't too late to see if McDonalds was still hiring.
This is my fic so i hope you enjoy!<3
essentially a what if the characters in One Piece were born and raised in the My Hero Academia Universe but make it centered around villains Law/Luffy/Zoro
also, it's established relationship 10k oneshot
this is my fic-
an AcBo fic where the ending isn't what it seems? confusing, i know- but really i just wanted to write a fic where the whole fic was one thing and the ending was another... kinda...
essentially- this is an AcBo fic where Sabo is helping someone while also not helping someone, Ace is a mafia/crime boss, and Smoker and Tashigi are the cops trying to take Ace and the Whitebeard's down.
although- it doesn't go to plan, as not everyone is on the same side, and some have motives they don't intend to share.
also- this may not seem like it, but it has a happy ending, well, i think it is at least. and i love AcBo, so honestly i'd take my word for it XD
this was also posted to Ao3 a while ago- but i'm new to Tumblr so i thought i'd share lmao-
this is an older series of mine, i will admit. i wrote this months ago but i've only recently gotten onto Tumblr so i thought i'd share it XD
Zoro is the god of Death and War, and Luffy is the mortal he fell in love with.
two books in the series- with a few oneshots as well- both finished completely.

The wine-red sky stretched over the horizon, casting a warm, molten glow on the vast ocean below. The waves lapped gently at the sides of the boat, a modest but elegant vessel with polished wood and billowing sails. Kelton stood at the bow, his black hair tousled by the salty breeze, a glint of gold piercing catching the fading light. His mischievous brown eyes scanned the horizon as he hummed a tune under his breath, his tall frame leaning casually against the railing.
Kelton was a man of many talents, but patience was rarely one of them. Yet, tonight was different. Tonight, he had every reason to wait. The air was thick with anticipation, a subtle excitement thrumming in his veins. The boat rocked gently as he adjusted his stance, glancing back toward the cabin where Mihawk was likely brooding, perhaps contemplating the wisdom of agreeing to this outing.
A sly grin tugged at the corners of Kelton’s mouth. He’d finally done it. After three failed attempts, Dracule Mihawk, the most feared swordsman in all the seas, had agreed to a date. And not just any date—Kelton had meticulously planned an evening that even the stoic Mihawk might find difficult to resist.
As if on cue, Mihawk emerged from the cabin, his expression as unreadable as ever. His piercing yellow eyes locked onto Kelton’s warm brown ones, and for a moment, the world seemed to stand still. Kelton could feel the weight of that gaze, the scrutiny that would unnerve any lesser man. But Kelton was no ordinary man. “Enjoying the view?” Mihawk’s voice was smooth, carrying a hint of dry amusement.
Kelton’s grin widened. “Only half as much as I’m about to enjoy our little adventure, love.” He pushed off the railing with a fluid motion, sauntering over to Mihawk with the easy confidence of a man who was rarely, if ever, denied what he wanted. Mihawk raised a single eyebrow, clearly unimpressed by Kelton’s swagger. “You speak as though this evening holds more than just an outing.”
“Oh, it holds much more, indeed,” Kelton quipped, his voice dripping with playful innuendo. He circled Mihawk slowly, his movements deliberate, as if sizing up his prey. “But I wouldn’t dream of ruining the surprise. After all, where’s the fun in that?” Mihawk’s gaze remained steady, though there was a flicker of something in his eyes—curiosity, perhaps, or mild irritation.
The island Kelton chose was nothing short of breathtaking. A hidden gem nestled within the Grand Line, it was renowned for its picturesque landscapes and sunsets that could make even the most hardened hearts falter. It was a place of serenity, where the chaos of the world seemed to pause, allowing nature's beauty to take center stage. As you step off the ship and onto the soft sand, the air is filled with the scent of saltwater and blooming flowers, carried by the gentle breeze that whispers through the towering palms.
Kelton, with his usual swagger, leads the way, his long strides making it almost impossible for anyone of average height to keep up, let alone Mihawk. Yet, the swordsman moves with his signature grace, his eyes observing every detail of their surroundings with a calm, discerning gaze. The vibrant greenery, the distant hum of wildlife, and the sound of waves gently lapping against the shore all contribute to an ambiance that feels almost too perfect. It’s a place out of time, a retreat from the battles and skirmishes that define their lives. "Lovely, isn't it?" Kelton remarks, glancing back at Mihawk with a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. His voice carries a playful lilt, as though he’s well aware of the grandeur of his choice. "Figured you could use a bit of a break from all the sword-slashing and brooding."
Mihawk, ever the stoic, merely raises an eyebrow in response, though there’s a slight softening in his usual stern expression. “It’s… suitable.” Kelton chuckles, clearly amused by the understatement. “Suitable? Darling, it’s a slice of paradise. Just wait until you see where I’ve set us up.”
They move deeper into the island, the dense foliage parting to reveal a pathway lined with lanterns that flicker softly in the dimming light. Kelton had taken his time setting up the path, carefully selecting each lantern to create a warm, inviting glow as the sun began its descent towards the horizon. He was no stranger to adventure and chaos, but when it came to moments like these, he knew the importance of setting the right atmosphere. As they near the spot Kelton has prepared, the path opens up to a secluded clearing. Here, the grass is soft underfoot, and a large, plush blanket is spread out, accompanied by an array of cushions. Nearby, a small table is set up, adorned with an assortment of wines, including the rare and expensive bottle Kelton had promised. A few plates of delicately prepared food, a nod to Mihawk's refined palate, are arranged with care.
The scene is framed by the ocean, which glitters with the last rays of sunlight, casting hues of pink, orange, and gold across the water. The sky above them is a masterpiece, the colors swirling together in a way that seems almost surreal. Kelton turns to Mihawk with a grin, spreading his arms wide as if presenting the world’s greatest treasure. “Not bad, eh? Thought we could enjoy the sunset, have a few drinks, and just… unwind. No swords, no pirates, just us and the view." Mihawk takes in the sight, the corner of his mouth twitching ever so slightly—a rare sign of approval. "You certainly know how to make an effort."
"Only for the best," Kelton replies smoothly, moving closer to the swordsman. "Shall we?" He gestures towards the blanket, his voice softer, yet still carrying that underlying note of mischief. Mihawk nods, and together, they step into the tranquil space, leaving the world behind for a moment of peace between eachother. “You’ve gone through a great deal of trouble for this,” Mihawk observed, his tone neither approving nor disapproving, simply factual. Kelton stopped in front of Mihawk, their eyes locking despite the steady difference in height. “Well, when one is courting the world’s greatest swordsman, one must be prepared to go the extra mile.” His voice softened, the teasing edge giving way to something more sincere. “I wanted tonight to be special.” Kelton gestured toward the small table he'd set up, where a selection of rare wines awaited. The centerpiece was a bottle of vintage so rare that even Mihawk, with his discerning taste, had mentioned it in passing. It had taken Kelton months of searching and no small amount of favors to procure it, but the look on Mihawk’s face when he’d seen it had made every effort worth it.
Mihawk inclined his head slightly, a gesture of acknowledgment if not full approval, and moved toward the table. Kelton followed, his gaze lingering on the swordsman’s graceful movements. Even in something as mundane as walking, Mihawk exuded a quiet, lethal elegance. It was no wonder Kelton was smitten. As they took their seats, Kelton uncorked the prized bottle, the sound of the pop satisfying in its own right. He poured them each a glass, the wine’s rich aroma filling the air between them. Mihawk took his glass, swirling the wine with practiced ease before bringing it to his lips. Kelton watched intently, noting the way Mihawk’s eyes closed briefly as he savored the taste.
“Well?” Kelton asked, leaning forward slightly, eager for Mihawk’s verdict. Mihawk opened his eyes, his gaze locking onto Kelton’s once more. “It’s exceptional,” he admitted, his tone begrudgingly appreciative. Kelton couldn’t help the triumphant smile that spread across his face. “I knew you’d like it. Only the best for you, of course.” Mihawk regarded him with a level look. “You put in considerable effort for this. Why?” Kelton’s smile faltered slightly, the question catching him off guard. He’d expected Mihawk to be more guarded, more evasive. But here was the swordsman, asking a direct question that required a direct answer.
Kelton leaned back in his chair, considering his words carefully. “Because you’re worth it,” he said finally, the playful lilt in his voice gone. “Because I wanted to do something for you—something that showed you I’m not just interested in a fling.” Mihawk studied him for a long moment, his gaze piercing. “You’ve made your intentions clear before,” he said slowly. “Why now?” Kelton met his gaze without flinching. “Because I think you’re starting to realize that I’m serious.”
A silence stretched between them, not uncomfortable but laden with unspoken thoughts. Kelton wasn’t sure if Mihawk would respond or if he’d retreat into that impenetrable shell of his, but he held his ground, refusing to look away. Finally, Mihawk set his glass down with deliberate care. “You’re relentless,” he remarked, though there was no venom in his tone. Kelton chuckled, the tension breaking slightly. “It’s one of my more charming qualities.”Mihawk didn’t smile, but there was a softness in his expression that hadn’t been there before. “I’ll admit, your persistence is…unexpected.”
“Unexpected, but not unwelcome, I hope?” Kelton ventured, his voice hopeful. Mihawk regarded him for a moment longer, then gave a slight nod. “Not unwelcome.” Kelton’s heart leapt, but he kept his excitement in check, not wanting to push too far too fast. He leaned forward, lowering his voice conspiratorially. “So, tell me, Mihawk—what would it take for you to consider this date a success?”Mihawk picked up his glass again, taking a slow sip before responding. “A success?” He seemed to mull over the question, his eyes narrowing thoughtfully. “That depends.”
“On what?” Kelton prompted, eager to hear the answer. Mihawk set his glass down again, his gaze fixed on Kelton with an intensity that sent a shiver down the taller man’s spine. “On whether you can keep me interested for the remainder of the evening.” Kelton grinned, his confidence returning in full force. “Oh, I can do much more than that, love. Just you wait and see.”
The rest of the evening passed in a blur of conversation and wine, the tension between them ebbing and flowing like the tide. Kelton was in his element, weaving stories and jokes with the ease of a seasoned entertainer, all while keeping a careful eye on Mihawk’s reactions. To his delight, Mihawk seemed more relaxed than Kelton had ever seen him, the sharp edges of his usual demeanor softened by the wine and the ambiance.
As the moon climbed higher in the sky, casting a silvery light over the deck, Kelton found himself growing bolder. The wine had loosened his tongue, and he leaned closer to Mihawk, his voice dropping to a low, intimate murmur. “You know, Mihawk,” he began, his words slow and deliberate, “I think there’s something you’re not telling me.” Mihawk raised an eyebrow, his gaze wary. “And what might that be?”
Kelton’s lips curved into a teasing smile. “That you’re enjoying this far more than you expected.” Mihawk didn’t respond immediately, his eyes narrowing slightly as if weighing his next words. Finally, he said, “You assume much.” Kelton’s grin widened. “I prefer to think of it as being perceptive.” Mihawk’s expression remained unreadable, but there was a flicker of something in his eyes—something that made Kelton’s heart skip a beat. Without thinking, Kelton reached out, his hand brushing against Mihawk’s, the touch light but deliberate.
Mihawk didn’t pull away, but his gaze dropped to their hands, his expression inscrutable. Kelton’s heart pounded in his chest, a mix of excitement and nervousness churning in his stomach. “Mihawk,” Kelton said softly, his voice barely more than a whisper. “I—” Before he could finish, Mihawk leaned forward, his movements swift and precise. Kelton barely had time to register what was happening before Mihawk’s lips were on his, the kiss firm and unyielding.
For a moment, Kelton was too stunned to react. This was Mihawk—Dracule Mihawk—kissing him. But the shock quickly gave way to something else, something warm and all-consuming, and Kelton found himself kissing back with equal fervor. The kiss was electric, a jolt of energy that seemed to ignite every nerve in Kelton’s body. He reached out instinctively, his hands gripping Mihawk’s waist as he pulled the swordsman closer. The world around them seemed to disappear, the only thing that mattered was the feel of Mihawk’s lips against his, the taste of wine lingering on his tongue. Mihawk’s hands were steady, one resting on Kelton’s arm, the other at his waist, grounding him in the moment. There was a surprising tenderness in the way Mihawk kissed him—controlled, but not without feeling. It wasn’t the desperate, heated kiss of someone losing themselves in passion, but something deeper, more intentional.
When they finally broke apart, both were breathless, the air between them thick with unspoken words. Kelton stared at Mihawk, his mind racing to catch up with what had just happened. “You kissed me,” Kelton said, the words tumbling out in a dazed murmur, a hint of disbelief in his tone. Mihawk’s expression remained calm, but there was a softness in his eyes that Kelton had never seen before. “You kissed me back,” Mihawk replied, his voice steady, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
Kelton couldn’t help the laugh that bubbled up from his chest, a sound filled with both joy and relief. “Aye, that I did,” he admitted, a roguish grin spreading across his face. “And I don’t regret a single second of it.” Mihawk’s gaze didn’t waver, but Kelton could see the faintest hint of a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. “Nor do I,” Mihawk said quietly, the admission hanging in the air between them, weighty and significant. Kelton’s heart swelled, the words sinking in, making him feel lighter than he had in ages. He’d always known there was something more to Mihawk than the cold, aloof exterior he showed to the world. But hearing those words—knowing that Mihawk didn’t regret this—made it all the more real.
“Mihawk,” Kelton began, his voice steady, “I meant what I said earlier. This—tonight—it’s not just about a fling. I want to be with you, not just for tonight, but for as long as you’ll have me.” Mihawk’s gaze bore into Kelton’s, the weight of his words sinking in. For a moment, Kelton thought Mihawk might pull away, might retreat into that stoic shell he was so known for. But instead, Mihawk stepped closer, his hand tightening around Kelton’s.
“You’re a fool,” Mihawk said quietly, his voice tinged with something that could almost be mistaken for fondness. Kelton chuckled, the sound low and warm. “Aye, that I am. But I’m your fool, if you’ll have me.” Mihawk’s lips curved into the faintest of smiles, and for the first time, Kelton saw the walls around Mihawk’s heart begin to crack. “Then it seems we’re both fools.” Before Kelton could respond, Mihawk closed the distance between them, capturing Kelton’s lips in another kiss. This one was slower, more deliberate, a kiss that spoke of promises made and a future uncertain but filled with possibilities.
Kelton kissed back with all the passion and sincerity he could muster, his heart soaring as Mihawk’s arms wrapped around his waist, pulling him closer. There was no more doubt, no more hesitation—just the two of them, together in that moment, and the unspoken understanding that this was just the beginning of something wonderful.
When they finally parted, Kelton rested his forehead against Mihawk’s, a contented sigh escaping his lips. “So,” he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper, “does this mean our date was a success?” Mihawk’s eyes sparkled with something akin to amusement. “It means you’ve intrigued me, Kelton. But don’t think for a moment that you’ve won me just yet." Kelton’s laughter was soft, a low rumble that resonated between them. “Wouldn’t dream of it, love. The chase is half the fun, after all." Mihawk’s expression softened, a rare warmth in his usually impassive gaze. “Then you’ll have to keep up, Kelton. I’m not easily caught.” Kelton’s grin widened, his brown eyes glinting with mischief. “Challenge accepted, Mihawk. But be warned—I’m a man who never gives up on what he wants.” Mihawk didn’t reply immediately, but the look in his eyes said everything. There was a mutual understanding, a silent agreement that they were both stepping into uncharted waters. Whatever lay ahead, it wouldn’t be easy. But neither of them wanted easy. They craved the thrill, the challenge—the chance to carve something lasting out of the unpredictable life they led.
For a moment, they simply stood there, the world around them forgotten. The wind tousled Kelton’s noir-black hair, and Mihawk’s grip on his waist tightened slightly, as if anchoring them both to this moment. The stars above glittered like silent witnesses to the promise they’d made, each twinkling light reflecting the hope of something more. Kelton finally broke the silence, his voice a whisper of sincerity. “I’ll win you over, Mihawk. It’s only a matter of time.” Mihawk’s lips quirked into the faintest of smiles. “We’ll see, Kelton. But know this—no one has ever succeeded where you intend to go.” Kelton’s eyes shone with determination as he leaned in close, his breath warm against Mihawk’s ear. “There’s a first time for everything, love. And I plan to make sure this is a first you won’t forget.”

Near the harbor where you arrived on the first day, you sit at a small café. The streets are busy as ever and at the market next door, the stall owners are haggling hard with tourists.
The typical tricks of the street merchants are being pulled… Everyone claims to have the 'finest' goods and if someone is stupid enough to approach the seller, they are lulled into compliments or promises being made.
Those earrings which match her ~beautiful~ eyes... The cure that makes their hair grow... The usual nonsense.
The remarkable thing is their charm. Maybe you see a parallel here, or catch yourself learning something, but their talent is noteworthy. If anyone knows how to sell something, it's the street merchants.
They immediately recognize their potential customers, simply by watching people walk through the streets. They speak to people in a systematic way, have prepared phrases for various types and are in most cases successful.
Sipping your coffee, you observe a rather interesting scene. Near you is a jewelry stall with probably fake goods, you just can't imagine that this sleazy guy who sells the goods is legitimate. You doubt it but you listen intently as he tries to sell the 'latest' fashions to a young couple.
However, the young woman who is his prime target doesn't seem to be very sure herself. But she seems rather shy and admits that she can't afford something so fancy.
The grin on the salesman's lips is visibly nasty, which would set off all your alarm bells, but the man plays it off by reaching for the lady's hands in a friendly manner and announcing that he would give her a discount. You can literally feel that he almost has her.
He puts the necklace on her, complimented her and when he realized that she still wasn't budging, he turned to her boyfriend. “Don't you think she looks beautiful wearing that?” He mentioned more, forcing him to agree, and eventually the poor guy caved in and bought the necklace from him; for an exorbitant price.
You shake your head. Those damn tricksters, but you can't help grinning as you bring your coffee to your mouth. You are the same, no, worse but you see more class in yourself. Besides, there's a big difference between you and the mediocre street hustlers.
While you, as a trickster, recognize that he is a scammer, he would never in a million years realize that you are also a trickster. You're a fucking professional.
You can only survive in this world if you are like this world. A criminal.
Thoughtfully and without realizing it, you stare at Ace, who is devouring his slice of cake without a care in the world. He notices that you are absently staring at him and tries to convince you to try a spoon.
His grin is wide as he holds the spoon out to you. His refreshing manner is exactly what has caught your attention since day one. He is always very playful. You literally admire him for his carefree spirit, while inside your head there's never silence.
You open your mouth while your chin rests in one hand and Ace puts the spoon in your mouth.
Ace looks satisfied while you savour the sweetness on your tongue. Are you really letting Ace feed you right now? You smirk to yourself. Who cares. You're bored because you've been watching a certain building for a while now...
The building in question doesn't exactly look like a apartment building or like it's abandoned, but it still looks like it's not accessible to everyone...
It looks like an upscale place. The facade is neat, plant pots to the left and right of the polished glass door, but it's all dark and you can't see anything through the black windows.
It looks like a store but it's closed, yet it's late in the afternoon. You've been here since morning and you're on your fifth cup of coffee and not once has it been open. There are no displayed opening hours, no proper advertising, no outside signs, nothing. It's just a well kept building? You don't think so.
Ace follows your blank stare and looks at the building. He has to turn a little because the building is behind him and continues to chomp on his dessert.
With his mouth full, he turns to you and speaks without shame.
“Do you think it's that house?” Over the last few days you've walked every street, looking for the brothel the gangsters on the ship were talking about.
The Moulin Rouge. In bars and other public places, nobody knew the name. It seemed a bit strange to you, as some people seemed to want to change the subject, or were quick to recommend other places. However, it would be foolish to push for answers. So you apologized kindly and said you must have mixed things up.
Jackpot, you thought immediately.
So, the Moulin Rouge is one of the places Doflamingo wants to hide. You know that it exists and you are pretty sure that the brothel you are looking for is behind the walls of this building.
But why does no one go in and out there? That's the only entrance in front of you. You've already walked around the house a couple of times. There's no cellar door, no back entrance, nothing.
“What do you think?” You are audibly bored, judging by your voice. This building is your only clue to the brothel. He shrugs his shoulders.
“I don't know, I just wonder how this is supposed to help us get to the palace.” You briefly consider how to explain your thoughts to him. His mind doesn't seem to be as entangled as yours, but that's exactly why Whitebeard sends you on missions like this. Like a profiler or master detective, you understand your targets and get information without anyone getting suspicious.
“You know Ace, to figure out what the bad guys are doing, you have to think like a bad guy.” - “Aren't we classified as evil and dangerous? I mean, we're pirates.” He looks a little thoughtful. You are wanted and shunned people after all.
You even made him wear a shirt all the time, so no one would see his jolly roger tattoo. You've disguised yourselves, and Ace isn't even wearing his hat. After all, people might recognize you otherwise. Well, they'd probably recognize Ace, because Ace is known as a pirate, while your face remains unknown.
When you're out in the streets as a Whitebeard pirate, you cover your head with a scarf to hide your face, leaving only your eyes exposed. You frown briefly. Sometimes you're a bit stupid yourself and you laugh a little, which causes confusion for Ace.
“Sure, we're pirates. But we're only a threat to those who feel threatened, not because we do evil…”
You are also the bad guys. Well, according to the World Government… But in your eyes, you're not. Anyone who messes with you usually deserves to fall, and that's not meant to sound arrogant. You don't really know... you never wanted to follow Whitebeard because you were offered wealth, power or possessions. You follow him because you trust and admire him as a human being.
He gave you personal freedom. From an early age, you have witnessed the darker side of humanity and can confirm that there is shadow on every side.
He snorts at your smug remark and sways his drink with a toothy grin. He leans back and looks at the strolling passersby. His grin remained for the moment while he was lost in thought, but you watch it fade.
His typical facial expression now looked rather serious? Very unusual and you suddenly find yourself wanting to know more. More about the Ace, who is usually so easygoing.
You watch him attentively as his pupils follow someone until that person disappears behind his back and reappears in your field of vision.
Now your eyes are following a pretty big man walking in the direction of the building. He's casually dressed in dark, but fine looking clothes, and his stride gives off a confident air, yet he looks like danger. His hair is slicked back and you can almost smell his perfume. Compared to the building, he matches the picture perfectly.
“Ohoho Ace, now it's getting interesting.” You can tell that he wants to turn around, but you grab his hand and shake your head. You pay attention to the man as he reaches into his trouser pocket to take out a key. He unlocks the door and before he steps inside, two young and attractively dressed ladies call out to him.
He greets the ladies with a naughty grin and has a quick chat with them. You have to concentrate a bit to make out their words, but luckily they are not far away.
“Hey girls, ready for your first shift?” They chuckle and while he puts an arm around each of their shoulders, he disappears into the building with them.
With your eyes still on the closed glass door, you forget that you are still holding Ace's hand. He clears his throat, bringing you out of your thoughts and you tilt your head questioningly as you look him in the face.
His face cracks into a smirk. You seem to have no idea what he's hinting at which he finds really cute. Only after he gives your hand a little squeeze you finally realize that you're still holding hands. You automatically want to pull your hand away, but he refuses to let go and his grip tightens.
Even with red cheeks, you try to maintain a calm posture in front of him. Let him eye you with his mischievous smile and hold your hand… You don't mind, you tell yourself.
Ace can tell that your mind is wandering around. He looks longingly into your eyes as he rests his chin on his hand.
His warm fingers stroke the palm of your hand, skillfully and barely touching your skin, and yet your heart is racing like crazy. You feel goose bumps spreading and the gentle touch makes you want to scratch your hand, but you just stare at him, a little disturbed.
It tickles but it's still pleasant...
For a moment, you completely forget your surroundings. You are careless, as you will later curse yourself. You have no time to get involved with Ace, now that something is moving in the house, but why is it so hard to look away?
It's almost impossible to maintain control when Ace is touching you like this. You'd have to scratch your eyes out, if you didn't want to see his freckled kissed face.
He's just flirting with you. He doesn't even talk to you, he just looks at you with those intense, amorous eyes.
Damn that's annoying. You grit your teeth. You already knew Ace wasn't going to back down, but who knew you'd react like this?
Why do your knees go weak when he looks you in the eyes? Why does everything fall silent while you run your eyes over his lips? How come, he has you under his spell?
You don't understand... you don't understand yourself.
Looking irritated, you stand up and Ace lets easily go of your hand. He seems somewhat unimpressed as he looks up at you, as if he knows about your conflicting thoughts.
“I'll get us something new to drink…” You make a short and curt excuse and disappear into the café.
After some time of waiting, the man who unlocked the door came out again and guarded the entrance as a bouncer.
You didn't want to waste any more time and went straight there with Ace, throwing a bag of money on the table as you went. The waitress almost fainted when she saw the amount.
That money was more than enough to cover your expenses. That's a whole month's salary for all the staff at the cafe! You're an eternal heroine in the waitress's heart, but you'll never know it...
But before you could speak to the bouncer, he raised his huge hand in front of your faces and you stopped in your tracks. You and Ace look at each other in surprise, but your confusion is quickly cleared up after the man explains himself.
“This is no place for lovers and certainly not for women.” Not a place for women? You're surprised, but you quickly put on your mask. You sigh a little sadly and play dumb.
“Aww, I thought this was a classy restaurant…” - “A restaurant? Do you see a menu around here? It's a burlesque, the Moulin Rouge! If you want your man to get horny over our girls, then go ahead, get in.” Visibly annoyed, he made it clear that you should leave.
You and Ace make an offended and appalled face, but a triumphant sound rings in your head. Bingo!
“You big meanie, we're leaving already.” You don't waste time arguing and turn around, tossing your hair over your shoulder. If women aren't wanted in there, you'd probably attract a lot of attention, so you'll have to make plans again… Maybe keep an eye on what kind of people come in and visit…?
Just as you walk into the luxurious hotel lobby, a familiar figure appears in the corner of your eye. You reach for Ace and quickly sit down on a sofa in front of the reception desk.
You reach for a huge newspaper and hide behind it. Caught by surprise, Ace looks at you and he understands from your attentive gaze that you are actively watching someone. He looks around like an idiot and can't quite make out who exactly you're watching.
You roll your eyes and wave him towards you, indicating that he should come behind your newspaper.
“See that guy in the back?” Your and Ace's eyes peer cautiously over the edge of the newspaper. A few meters away from you, a group of expensively dressed gentlemen are sitting in a small lounge in front of the casino.
Ace's eyes move to yours and you form a hook with your hand, like a pirate's hook. Ace's eyebrows go up a little.
“Do you mean Crocodile?” he whispers to you.
“Exactly.” You look over again. Another man joined the group and after a short while they made their way into the casino.
You think about it.
What is Sir Crocodile doing here?
You think back to your time in Alabasta. You know he was doing business with Doflamingo. But it was mostly about trading weapons and prostitutes…
“Maybe he's a guest?” Ace's words startle you. You pull down the newspaper, now that Crocodile is gone you don't have to hide.
“Ace, you're a genius!” You don't quite want to admit it, but with that idea he's given you the missing piece of the puzzle. You grab him excitedly by one shoulder and give him a kiss on the cheek.
"Huh a genius…?"
His face is slightly flushed and there is a greasy grin on his lips, which makes you want to smack him on the back of the head, but you pull him up because you have to get after Crocodile quickly.
You get the feeling that he's your golden ticket. But you're not quite sure how to go about it. After all, he knows you and unfortunately you two parted quite dramatically…
He shouldn't see you for now... who knows why he's here. You decide that you shouldn't get involved with him unnecessarily.
You lead Ace to the bar with quick steps when you saw where Crocodile is seated. Once again he has settled down with his group in a small seating area and a lovely lady is now at his side.
At the bar you are turned with your back to the people, from this small distance he would immediately recognize you, thus you keep your back to him.
“Why Crocodile?” Ace asks you, turning his head slightly towards you. Your eyes go up to him. You wonder how much you should tell him about yourself and Crocodile. He should know that you used to work under him, shouldn't he? Who knows, maybe he's forgotten.
But you're sure he'll still have questions about why Crocodile shouldn't see you. But that's a problem if it comes to that, so you spare him a few details.
“He did business with Doflamingo and who knows, maybe he's not just a hotel guest but a guest at Doflamingo's party, right?” Your lips form into a small, confident smile and Ace smirks, glancing down.
Your eyes linger on Ace's side profile and you wonder what's going on in that pretty little head of his. His gaze meets your eyes again and without realizing it you grin at him. Ace shakes his head at you, but the smile doesn't leave his face for a second.
How can you be so cute? In his eyes, you're probably the most interesting woman he's ever met. His life has always been an adventure, but being with you makes him feel like he's in a classic movie. The sparkle in your eyes as you look at him so confidently is another picture he has saved in his mind.
“Oh sweet y/n, you're so pretty when you're all confident.” You gasp unexpectedly, startled by the sound that came from your lips. Excuse me, what the hell did he say?!
He needs to stop catching you off guard like that, damn Ace.
You are still unable to form proper words in your head and this only makes Ace laugh more. A little angry, you kick him in the side with your elbow.
“You better make yourself useful and tell me if that woman is still sitting next to Sir Crocodile.” He salutes you and turns his upper body sideways into the room to get an view.
“Yup, she's still sitting next to him and it looks like they're having a lovely time…” - “Hmmm I see… I think I have a funny idea!"
Ace puts his head questioningly to one side and you make a beckoning movement with your index finger. He comes closer to you and you whisper something quietly to him.
As you make some space between you again, you nod approvingly to each other. Now is the time to shine!
You suddenly burst into tears and whimper a few words while Ace comforts you. He strokes your back and encourages you with his words.
"I know this doesn't look good... Although I hate to hold it against you... but I told you so.” Ace's well spoken words unfortunately and intentionally cause you to burst into more tears.
Your crying attracts attention at the bar and a bartender arrives with a worried expression and interferes in your conversation.
“Hey, are you all right?” she spoke directly to you, but with whimpering lips you pretended you could hardly speak a word… that's how 'upset' you are…
“Not really, unfortunately.” Ace looks around briefly and then leans over to the bartender.
“My sister and I are here to catch her cheating husband…” The lady looks shocked and puts on a sympathetic face. Nodding, you wipe the tears from your cheeks with a handkerchief. Your puffy puppy eyes look up at the woman and Ace strokes your back to encourage you while you try not to burst out crying again.
“Could you perhaps do me a favor?” The woman nods hastily. Man or woman, you quickly have them in your hands.
“Of course I'll help, we women have to stick together!” she grabs your hand and looks determined.
Easy peasy. You hide your mischievous smile behind your handkerchief. It's always so easy…
you sniffle again in a whiny voice before you speak.
“You know, my husband is sitting over there with a young woman, they seem very familiar and I've been afraid for a long time that he might be cheating on me, but I honestly couldn't face it…” - “Oh no, that man over there? Sir Crocodile?” you gulp and nod.
"Yes, exactly. He seems to be well known here? Does he often come with a female companion?” Your fake tears well up in your eyes again.
“Hey sis, please calm down…” Ace plays the worried brother perfectly. The woman bites her lip and looks to the side, a little troubled.
“Sir Crocodile is a valued guest in this casino… and the lady at his side is one of his employees.” - “Oh my God an employee?!” You bury your face in your hands and start to cry ugly. Ace puts an arm around your shoulder and smoothly takes over the conversation.
"My sister used to be his employee, just like this woman. He promised her the world and asked her to marry him…" - “Oh no you poor woman… let me pour you a drink, it's on the house.”
She turns for a moment to fetch two glasses from the shelf. At that moment, you and Ace share a coy grin. Oh yeah, now you get a free drink! Awesome!
She pushed the drinks towards you and propped her arms on the counter to lean towards you.
"Okay girl, what do you want to know. There's a lot of information going around here in the casino and maybe I can help you." - “Thank you so much, really!” You feign joy and gratitude. Although it's not quite an act. You're really grateful to her, for buying your act.
“Back home, Crocodile told me that he had to travel to Dressrosa for some business. Normally I don't ask questions, but I became a bit suspicious.” You blush a little and pretend to be a silly girl.
“I was reading the newspaper that the King Donquixote Doflamingo was throwing a fancy gala party and I immediately knew that's why Croco was here.” Your bleary eyes glance briefly at Ace, who has to pull himself together not to blow his cover, because he is so impressed by your acting.
You look a little sheepishly at the woman.
“I wonder if he didn't tell me on purpose, because he might be going there with that woman; or if he's really just here for work…” The woman taps her chin thoughtfully.
“Luckily, I know the woman at his side. She used to work here in the casino before she started working for him. I could ask her, but he's definitely invited to the gala. After all, Donquixote Doflamingo is a VIP at the Moulin Rouge…" Ace's eyebrows go up by reflex at the mention of the burlesque.
You step lightly on his foot, telling him to control his face, but luckily she hasn't noticed.
“Would it be possible for you to let me know?” You write a number on a small piece of paper and pass it to her.
"That's my room number. If you could tell me if she's his plus one, it would help me a lot.” - “Sure!”
You talk to the woman for a bit, while you enjoy your free drink and before you say goodbye, you pull her aside.
"You know, I think it would be better if you didn't tell her about me. Croco is an influential man, I don't want her to get into trouble. If she's his date, I'll part with him quietly while he's still here.” She nods her head attentively as if she's soaking up every word for this mission.
“Just ask her out of pure interest, since you were able to watch her with Croco today, you know...” - “Understood!" she's eager.
You give her a little friendly kiss on the cheek, making her blush, and you say goodbye to each other.
On the way to your room, when no one sees you on the corridor, you burst out laughing.
“Ace you were amazing!” - “Me and amazing?! Excuse me, but you're the real champ here!”
You banter pleasantly with each other about your success. You have discovered a lot of useful things and one thing is certain…
“Ace, now you just have to make friends with Sir Crocodile” Ace promptly stops and looks at you in horror.
"Huh? ME?!" With big no signs in his eyes, he waves his hands in front of him in dismay.

i'm starting to think the op fandom isn't really present here??? where are you guys????
Any One Piece fans that see this I need some help deciding something!
So I'm writing a fanfic that is set in a modern au where the East Blue Crew meet up as kids. My problem? I've come to realize something I weirdly haven't seen much school fics or comics cover and that is, THAT SANJI IS PRACTICALLY A YEAR OLDER THAN ZORO!!!
This matters in a school setting where because of their birthdays technically, in my fic, Sanji would be in 7th grade at 12 while the rest are all still in elementary school (specifically speaking Zoro(12) and Nami(11) both being in 6th without him)
If I age him down there'd be about three months between Zoro and Sanji, but Zoro would now be the oldest EBC kid (followed by Sanji and everyone else carries out as normal)
So the question is:
Thank you to anyone that interacts I'll check back in a week and just plan the fic around their grades till I can see the results. Thanks again!!! 💙
