Well Redson Knew that MK had an ex it was something he let him know about

MK and Redson are both tired of Juan and honestly just want to get this mission over and don with already

Mk unfortunately has some lasting trauma from his past relationship with Juan and scared of being manipulated and used again

Redson is tired and irritated by Juan’s desperate attempts to break them up and despises him for how he treated MK in the past

Juan?Doesn’t care that MK doesn’t love him Yet and see Red as some demon who stole MK’s love from him

I have some backstory on MK and Juan Ling’s relationship

Juan was always a manipulative boyfriend and his favourite way of using MK was isolating from his friends and family.MK was very impressionable and he honestly believes that he just wanted alone time,he felt worse and worse and hated how he was always gaslighted into thinking he only need him

It took a year of this for MK to finally break up with him and asked to never see each other again.Obviously Juan tried stalking online and in real life but eventually he stopped

Juan though that MK was tricked by his friends into hating him and despises Redson now that he’s MK’s boyfriend and makes up every excuse to make MK think he’s a bad boyfriend

MK isn’t falling for his tricks anymore though as he’s happier and knows what a healthy relationship is supposed to look like.That not gonna stop Juan tho.OH NO.He’s gonna do everything in his royal power to make MK fall in love with I’m again

So I made an au called

Basically,Mk and co(and Redson too)All are on some mission that monkey king sent them on.They’re going through this kingdom’s woods when they’re brought to the ruler on account of being suspicious(and travelling with demons I guess)

Now this would already be an inconvenience but then when they are brought to the king,MK Mei,Tang and Pigsy recognise the ruler as MK’s seethingly annoying ex.

The ex takes this as MK running back to them and embraces him(against MK’s will)but still has distaste against his friends because “They owe us some private time”

Sandy’s worried,Pigsy and Mei are ready to throw hands,Tang is desperately trying to figure out an escape plan while Red is just confused and irritated.

Macaque is so proud about Mk with the shadows powers and imagine when he finds out that Mk has 4 ears 🤭

Let's talk about Chinese erasure.

LMK is a retelling/revisioning of a NUMBER of Chinese Mythologies. Most focused of being Journey to The West a story mostly focused around Sun Wukong.

Now. I have seen, so much fanart, fanworks, headcanons, character redesignes that change the characters from yellow legos (the legos actual colors NOT the fact they are Asian we're not doing that) to more realistic/human looking characters. And a lot of the time these include making these characters Black/Blasian.

Now first of all: I'm not talking about..i think its October? The October challenge to redraw characters as Black/African. I'm talking about art and work just year round.

Hey, first of all, I love that people are drawing more POC characters. But can you make these characters THE RIGHT FUCKING RACE?

The characters in LMK (Redson especially i see so much shit of him being black) are CHINESE they are CHINESE MYTHOLOGICAL CHARACTERS/RETELLING OF SAID CHARACTERS. They are NOT black.

I love seeing the representation and people learning to draw POC characters but please please do it with characters who arent as culturally significant as those from LMK. There's most of the Steven Universe Characters, there's any white characters from media NOT based in mythology you can draw as black but please please please do not forget

LMK is in China.the characters are Chinese. Draw them as such. Learn to draw Chinese characters and hairstyles.

please 🙏 Chinese culture deserves the amount of respect and time your putting into ours

Edit: I am not saying drawing them with tan skin is bad. Chinese people can be tan. but if you give them fucking braids and cornrows aka: black protective hairstyles then your just erasing their ethnicity aka: FUCKING CHINESE.

My babygirl is almost done! Uhh, also, censored thingy because ya. I didn't do the tig biddies for my last post cause (insert very reasonable excuse here) and also because I'm slowly becoming more comfortable with drawing Mk in my style and I legit forgot even though I've literally drawn him with a trans pin on his jacket a couple times over...

I totally headcanon that he has a mix of Macaque's and Wukong's face masks and also a chest heart thingamajig because uhhh... Yeah.

I have been obsessed with this stupid little monkey, I CAN'T STOP DRAWING HIM. (Also, I did an anatomy study thingy and took inspo from different sources of art. Nice!) WIP!!!

I just realized that I forgot to draw his tail. Damn. (Fur is purposely missing on his body since I needed to clearly see what I was doing, might make an update later on how this is going.)

Here's the finished piece! Sorry for not posting it yesterday, I have a set time limit for how long I can spend on my phone a day and I went over it. Also, you cannot tell me that Mk doesn't have the Beans™!!! I think the line art is better, but I wanted to try coloring.
