Am I really the Last?

Okay, I can't put into words how much this art means to me!!!!

The Last Unicorn is possibly my favourite animated movie! It wasn't my favourite growing up because I couldn't fully grasp it. When I was growing up, I always thought it was a fever dream I had, and no one else I talked to knew about it.

But not too long after I realised I was trans (late teens), I rewatched it and Oh my gods!

I cried at the scene where she realised she was made human and yelled out. "I wish you had let the Red Bull take me! I wish you had left me to the harpy! I can feel this body DYING all around me!" Every moment, every quote. 🫠😍

So, seeing others make fan art and see that others remember it! It truly is wonderful 🥹

I know I am human, but something deep within me resonates so close with The Unicorn and her perspective.

do you hear me? YOU LOST HER. you’ve trapped her in a human body. SHE’LL GO MAD.

This is likely to be my favorite of the bunch, which is really a tough choice. But my eyes keep getting drawn back to this scene. It's so simple but peaceful, a journey between friends.
