Lurien's statues are evidence of him formerly using red/purple like the rest of aristocracy, yes I've said as much before

The statues are colored save for the mask

Painted even

As opposed to other statues in-game

Which are plain stone

Including the hollow knight fountain

Why would that not be painted

Is this a Greek statue situation, where the paint has long been washed out/eroded???
