HEADCANON TIME (kinda)

James likes to be very affectionate to his partners, so he will hold them and kiss on them in public. He is NOT scared of PDA.

When he dated Lily, she wasn’t really bothered by it, but she found it annoying in an affectionate way. Like he would kiss on her and she would try to push his face away while rolling her eyes and laughing.

Regulus is a completely different story.

Considering his family consisted of people who didn’t like to touch one another and anytime they did it was for violence, Regulus doesn’t like people touching him, but he’s also EXTREMELY touched starved (let me just project onto him real quick).

When James is affectionate with him, Regulus is awkward about it and kind of moves away. James takes this as a hint that Regulus doesn’t like it, and because James is not an asshole and respects people’s boundaries, he stops touching him. In reality, Regulus just didn’t know what to do and isn’t used to it, but he slightly enjoyed the affection. Now, since James refuses to touch him and Regulus knows that that’s how he shows his love, Regulus thinks that James doesn’t love him anymore and is now spiraling down the rabbit hole of “what did I do wrong? Why does everyone always leave me? Why am I never good enough?” Also, Regulus doesn’t know how to express his feelings to James about this, leading to a LOT of miscommunications.

BUT this can all be fixed when Regulus finally loses it and breaks down because he believes James doesn’t love him anymore. James expresses how he thought Regulus didn’t want him to touch him and Regulus says it’s the opposite, and now James CANNOT stop touching Regulus in some sort of way. Sirius hates it because that’s his little baby brother, damn it!

if the marauders spin off doesnt start with a flashback to when harry said his dad doesnt strut then cut to all the marauders strutting down the hall like the icons they are i dont want it

only kidding i dont care what happens i just want these guys to have the story they deserve

the harry potter books rated by mentions of how handsome sirius is

philosopher’s stone: no direct mention of sirius but hagrid gives harry a photo album with pictures of his parents and you know sirius is being actively handsome in at least a third of them (5/10)

chamber of secrets: a hollow, empty book (-10/10)

prisoner of azkaban: uncle vernon disapproves of sirius’ hair at the beginning of the book which means it looks sufficiently punk rock even after twelve years in prison. harry thinks sirius looks handsome in the photo from his parent’s wedding day and hp is super pissed off at that point so it must be an objective fact; other than that not a great time for sirius or his #look (7/10)

goblet of fire: sirius looks good even when his face is made of flames. feels true and right. (8/10)

order of the phoenix: an entire flashback devoted to the “casual elegance” of sirius’ hair and how good-looking he is. at one point he looks “rather haughty and bored, but very handsomely so”. excellent stuff jkr. would get full marks except for my inability to accept the end of this book (9.5/10)

half-blood prince: one can only hope that sirius is keeping it fresh up in wizard heaven but who can say for sure (2/10)

deathly hallows: sirius is described as carelessly handsome in a photo, although im personally skeptical about how careless it was. ghost sirius is tall and handsome, as per usual. (8/10)

two bros chilling in a hot tub - when someone is too close for your liking, it immediately pushes them so they’re five feet away from you. depending on how much magic you put into the spell, it can remove one person you don’t like, or it can move everyone that is within 5 feet of you. this can take significantly more power though depending on how many people are near you

everything changed when the fire nation attacked - it lights a fire!

this bitch empty - send an object hurtling away from you in the direction you’re facing. how far the object goes depends entirely on how loudly and forcefully you yell yeet

it’s free real estate - clears an area of obstructions, kinda similar to the two bros spell, except it doesn’t centre around you

johnny johnny yes papa? - i’m not sure what this one would do, but it’s canon that nursery rhymes tend to make very powerful spells! maybe it could be a truth compulsion spell? which would be very useful, but the thought of a very serious lawyer singing this spell in court is SENDING ME
