My brain was thinking that since Darcy and young Griffin look so similar, then an even younger Griffin would look like young Darcy too. So I drew traced her and her third cousin/childhood best friend. 3 guesses who it is (the eyes are a hint). Also even younger Griffin does not have glasses because I did not want to mess with it.

Medical impacts because of powers: I just think it is interesting if characters with magic powers are affected by them in other ways, so that is what this is

Icy: Colder average body temperature, always gets fevers if sick (like she doesn't even have to be that sick, anything small can trigger it), gets overheated easily (so she stays away from sweaters and thick fabrics regardless of the weather), but is more resistant to colder temperatures (especially if transformed into her witch form)

Darcy: her eyes are very sensitive to light, which is why she wears the tinted glasses (other people have also pointed this out), She has really good night vision, I like to think her vision is total garbage during the day but at night it is 20/20, once again when in witch form the light effects her less

Stormy: Because of her powers she has epilepsy (because as my favorite she has to suffer), It affected her more when she was younger and couldn't control her powers as well, however she can still have seizures triggered by suppressing her powers or repressing a strong urge to use them (lightrock was fun), Icy and Darcy are very overprotective of her which she kind of likes and is kind of embarrassed by

Icy: Aisha or Stella: has always wanted to be royalty, hence why she makes Knut refers to the Trix as highnesses. She's more jealous of all royals getting power, status, and nice things without having to work for it. I did not include Bloom because let's face it: Icy would rather die than live without magic

Darcy: Musa: Yes, because of Riven. She would lie and say she is most jealous of Stella if asked.

Stormy: Bloom: Bloom is the beloved leader of the Winx and Stormy is very much the punching bag of the Trix. She would kill for people to treat her like they treat Bloom

Hazbin Hotel Characters as Taylor Swift Songs

Backstory: at a con a while ago someone asked some of the members of the cast what Taylor Swift song they thought represented their character. They didn't have answers. However, I soon realized I had very strong opinions on this. I don't know if anyone cares but I do.

Charlie: Innocent (Speak Now)

Reason: The lyrics really line up with how Charlie views the world and the hotel's goals

Vaggie: The Smallest man Who Ever Lived (TTPD)

Reason: I don't really know. The anger in this song is sort of the same way I feel Vaggie feels anger (that makes no sense). I also kind of like the duality of Charlie's " Who you are is not what you did" with this songs "You are what you did"

Huskerdust: The Daily Double!

Cruel Summer (Lover)

Reason: Fun love song. Mentions both Angel and rolling dice in the chorus.

The Prophecy (TTPD)

Reason: Very sad love song. Mentions Eve in the first verse and then losing at cards AND poison in the second verse? I refuse to beleive that there is no Huskerdust connection.

Cherri Bomb: Forever Winter (Red)

Reason: The song is about worrying about a friend going through a hard time. It always reminds me of that part in the Addict video where Cherri is sitting by Angel as he cries inbetween flashes

Adam: The Man (Lover)

Reason: he is the kind of person the song is talking about

Lute: Guilty as Sin? (TTPD)

Reason: Idk. I feel like she needs to listen to this song.

Velvette: Vigilante Shit (Midnights)

Reason: I don't really have one. I like this song. I like this character. It is sort of a mean song that mentions fashion and busting crimes.

Vox: Glitch (Midnights)

Reason: It mentions glitching? It also sort of a break up and love song at the same time which I felt sort of worked with the whole Alastor thing.

Carmilla Carmine: Never Grow Up (Speak Now)

Reason: Very Motherly song and this is a very motherly character.

That is it. I know I left off some fan favorites. If I couldn't think of a song that felt right for the character I just left them off. Maybe after season two and more albums come out I can do an updated list.

My explanation/ headcanon of Stormy wears skirts much more often than Icy and Darcy (and the winx actually) in the seasons that count anyway

I always liked to imagine that both Icy and Darcy are just completely gorgeous. Meanwhile Stormy is more average. As the trix got older she started feeling self conscious about her looks and started wearing more skirts to try to appear more feminine and more beautiful. It didn't really matter to anyone but her, but it made her feel better even if it didn't really make her happy.

As opposed to Icy and Darcy who are very comfortable in their pastel preppy and dark hippie styles, Stormy never really got a chance to discover her style and her clothes more reflect wanting to fit in vs. reflecting who she is

Of course due to evil shenanigans the trix end up wearing potato sacks forever

As a kid I only had seasons 1 and 2 of the cinelume dub on netflix as I kid. I low key didn't know they made any other seasons until years. I grew up thinking they were sisters and didn't consider any other interpretation.

I watched the show with my younger sister and we both loved the trix. Sister relationships are special and evil sister relationships were better. Yes we are evil, but we also do sort of love each other maybe 40% of the time and care about each other about 80% of the time.

My sister was/is very similar to Stormy in personality and I would probably be more similar to Icy. Because of this the Icy and Stormy sister relationship has been my favorite to think and write about.

I just personally like reading and writing about sister relationships. I am totally willing to ignore evidence in favor of my happiness in cases such as this.

Even when considering an interpretation where they are not sisters, I still would want them to be related, like third or fourth cousins. I always thought it was interesting if fairies prioritized friends while witches prioritized family. I don't have a reason, I just like it

So anyway, yes, fuck the willow tree. I am going to choose to believe that was a translation error and live happily in my delusion forever

Dancing skills:

Icy: No one will ever know. She is too self conscious to try. She will act like she is too cool for it (pun intended) but in reality she doesn't want people watching her.

Darcy: Also will not dance, but she does know she is bad. I just think it would be really funny if she is completely in control emotionally and is a skilled manipulator, but if you put her on the dance floor she is an uncoordinated mess.

Stormy: Like in season 8 I think she is just a randomly good dancer. Like normal people I don't really consider seasons 5-8 cannon, but I just think this is really funny. Her being good at dance us really random, but it fits her well. She can destroy anyone at just dance.

Handwriting:

Icy: I just see her handwriting as being almost deceptively cute. Like lots of curves and swirls and that kind of thing

Darcy: very uniform, very neat. Everything is the same height. Her handwriting is so neat it looks fake. Her handwriting looks like Arial font. Five pages later and it is still neat.

Stormy: Just a hot mess. She writes like she was in a rush and it just gets worse as the page goes on. Even she can't decipher what she wrote sometimes.
