20-something socialist woman, this blog is a sharing space for thoughts and opinions because I miss being politically active (which is on hold for personal reasons - mainly getting a degree)
I'll talk mainly about feminist theory and anything related, my positions are radical - I'd love to interact with people who share (not necessarily) similar views.
Also some occasional posts on music, art and the likes, everything fiercely nonconformist.
You can call me M :)
real!!
my mom works in academia while my dad was (he's retired now) a freelancer, so when they had me, he started working way less to take care of me/the house and when I'd tell my classmates (and teachers!) they always reacted like it was the most insane thing
one time in middle school a girl straight up told me that women should be just be housewives "because it's natural"
I think of her sometimes, I hope she realised that she wasn't born with a broom in her hand, just like her brother wasn't
bought an e-cig today and feel like a fucking child yeah of course stupid fucking lungs you're not strong enough for real tobacco anymore ohh poor you let me get your pacifier
Bring back women learning self-defense as an anti-fascism movement
Just saw the most frustrating post about "bringing back red lipstick as an anti-fascism movement" - the male CEOs of every major cosmetics company would LOVE that. You wouldn't be sticking it to any fascists by conforming to sexist beauty standards. Save your money, save your time, and fight fascism by, you know, standing up to fascist leaders and policies. Don't buy lipstick.

I'm begging all feminists to watch this movie if you haven't, it was huge in Italy and deserves more international recognition
Why is "patriarchy affects men too" always about men feeling ashamed of crying and never about gay (or "effeminate") teenage boys being subject to violence and corrective therapy by their families?
I'm all in favour of discussing how conforming to gender roles is a core belief of patriarchal ideology and gender non-conforming people (men too) are subjected to patriarchal violence.
But strangely "feminism is for everybody" is always about watering down feminist issues.
I've been having the flu on and off for a month now
Being sick for anything longer than three days is unreasonable. Like okay, I get it, let's fucking wrap it up here
my working theory when reading elon musk news is that he watched house of cards and didn't understand who the bad guy was
We're not making it out of the patriarchy
Women's day coming up can't wait to answer "I'll be happy when you stop killing us" to all men who tell me "happy women's day!!!!"
