OK, joking aside, imagine…every day for LGBTQ people is how that ask made you feel. The entire society that we live in makes queer folk feel othered, ostracized, all the time. and that’s in real life, not just on the internet. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. You felt uncomfortable. You didn’t find it funny. Queer folk are often in physical danger because of their identity.

When you’re a member of the majority, you have to deal with some potshots from time to time. Suck it up, buttercup. And by it I mean. My jork. Hang on I messed that up

The amount of Willow hate I’ve seen on this blog is upsetting idk. Like as a lesbian who heavily relates to sunlow it ticks me off when people are like Willow is boring she’s just nice sundew should be with someone else!!! Like ?? She’s not boring though?? Why do people in fandom think being kind = boring. Why is killing a man who threatened her life and tribe not enough for you. Good lord what do you want her to do she’s not a POV character and is miles more interesting than other romantic interests like Riptide.

And there’s so many other “kind” characters who get no hate?? Not all, but mostly women I feel. Why must it always be the lesbians/women in general who get dogpiled.. idk I feel like this is along the same line as fandom misogyny this fandom doesn’t talk about much- like people call Moon a Mary Sue when Darkstalker who has more powers than her is Right There but no one calls him that…? And Moon isn’t even a Mary Sue she has so many issues and tries to defend Darkstalker when she thinks he’s her friend.

And adding on to that people act like Silverspot and Burnet were awful parents like girl what did you want them to do they’d be killed if they tried to save their kids. Morally yeah it’d be good to save your kids but do you think that’s easy to risk your life…??

I hate seeing people hate on Tui. Like, I know she’s not the perfect author and she’s made some mistakes, but people will say really mean things about her and even call her an awful author. It’s clear she loves Wings of Fire. As an aspiring writer, it’s almost intimidating and discouraging seeing how the fandom treats Tui.

It's ok I'm a southerner and I also have a seething hatred for summer sometimes. The only positive I find is the everpresent greens.

So many southerners are gonna make fun of me but

The flowers? Love. Green trees? Love. The gentle heat of the sun? Hell yeah.

But noooo I'm here up NORTH in WASHINGTON. THE RAINY BlTCH STATE. The grass is dead and brown and all the flowers are already shriveled in the heat (except the exotic species those are thriving). The fruit trees are producing wonderfully all through town but I can't walk to any of them because I get lightheaded and nauseous when out for more than half an hour.

It's only 30°c out here, but the thermometer easily caps out in the sun. That same sun I was just walking under for an hour and a half and now I want to collapse.

I miss winter. The snow is beautiful, and that sharp sting of the cold burns but at the same time it feels so good. You can freeze your room by leaving the windows open and then bundle up under a cocoon of blankets without overheating and watch a movie while everything outside is icy. Walking in a snowy forest at night is ethereal, and you feel like a spirit. Walking in the forest at night in summer and you'll be tripping over trash while trying to avoid people and not get stabbed.

Lamenting rant over I needed to get this out of my system while I cooled down.
