Author's note: Helloooo. It's been so long since the last time I posted something here. I apologize for taking so long before posting this one. I've been occupied with my research subject lately and we've been preparing for the research defense that will occur in just a few weeks (our teacher hasn't given us any schedule yet).
This is a comfort fic where the reader is trying to comfort his beloved Xingqiu. I hope you enjoy this and have a nice day.
I'll start posting once again after our scheduled experiment on research, which is this weekend.
💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
It's been almost a week since the last time you saw him. You were always at the bookstore in Liyue, not exactly waiting for him but just returning some books and taking some to read before returning them the next day, it's a simple cycle that you often do during good days. The last time you talked to him, he said that his family will be facing an upcoming task for the Feiyun Commerce Guild. You understand it as you knew he's a part of that guild, so you thought he might be really busy that he's not able to do his routine of reading books in the bookstore and talking to you.
His two best friends don't also have any idea when you asked them. The last time they saw him was when they tried to visit him on Saturday. They only see a glimpse of him and hear his words of apologies. He's busy, that's the summary of his apology. They didn't really talk for too long as Xingqiu was called by his brother, ending the conversation. You sighed. You're not mad about his lack of time, in fact, you're just really worried. And maybe you miss seeing him too or listening to his voice while he reads his favorite books to you. You miss him. You miss holding his hands, drawing circles on his palm, you miss his presence on your side.
Early in the morning, you went to his house. But you only met his assistant, you didn't see any glimpse of him or his smile, just the words of his assistant's excuse and apologies.
"He's currently working on some important paper for the commerce guild, I'm sorry Mx. Y/n, but he ordered that he can't let any distraction in the meantime. He wanted to finish the tasks as soon as possible."
So you thanked him and bid him farewell. But before entirely leaving, you stop in front of his house, waving your hand as a farewell and sending a smile. You have a small glint of hope that he might see it. A hope that you send your message clearly to him. You're not mad and you'll keep waiting. As long as you know he's going back to you afterward, you can always wait.
"Y/n? We're about to close. It's getting really late, you should be going home now." Your mind snapped back to reality as you heard Ms. Jifang, the owner of Wanwen Book House. You closed the book that you didn't manage to read at all as your mind seems to wander. "Ah, I'm sorry. I guess I will be going now then. Can I keep this book in the meantime? I will-" "You always give the books you lend in time, why would I say no?"
You smiled, "Thank you, Ms. Jifang"
You bid her your last farewell for the day before setting off to a new location. A location just a few meters away from the Bubu Pharmacy. The both of you would always go there to read books to each other, reading random lines from your favorite books.
The scenery of the moon and the sun can be quite a sight. There's also a tree around to lean on when taking a rest and that's what you're planning to do for the day.
You stopped on your tracks as you saw a familiar figure sitting under the tree, the blue hue of the moon lightning his figures.
"Xingqiu?"
You called him. You notice how he slightly flinches at your voice, probably surprised by your sudden presence. He looked at you for a second, smiling a bit before gazing at the moon.
Something is wrong, you can feel it. The way his eyes match the emotion of confusion with worries written all over it makes you feel unsettled. You decided to sit beside him, staying silent for a little while before finally speaking. "Why are you here...at this hour?"
You asked him, but his eyes remained gazing at the moon. Your question stayed lingering in the air and you felt like you didn't need to repeat it too. You waited, discarding the book you planned to read earlier to the side. "A lot of things...happened," he spoke softly, his fingers playing with the grass."I need to take a breath so I went here, you wouldn't mind, right, my dearest?"
His golden eyes met yours, silently pleading for him to let him join you in silence. You wanted to ask why or what happened, but the look on his face states that you didn't need to. He's willing to tell you everything, after all, bottling all emotions at once is not a good idea.
You smiled, "I wouldn't."
A chuckle escapes from his lips, sighing afterward as he leans back to the tree, staring directly at the moon.
"Do you have any fears, y/n?" You blinked. "Yes, of course. I think that goes with everyone else." "What about, something you hate and fear at the same time?" You hummed, taking in the question deeply and pondering your answer. "Hate and fear, you say? I guess I have some too. I mean, that's a very thin line. At most times, you can hate something because you fear it. Since it's something that makes you uncomfortable, you can grow to hate it." "I see." Silence followed his words after that. You rested your back on the tree. "I fear...that someday, I won't be able to do the things I enjoy. That one day, I would face all the responsibilities and carry all the burdens for our family's position." He spoke softly. You hummed, making sure that he knew you were listening. You're there to listen to all of his musings and worries, like what he always does to you. "You know, my brother is a bit of a...slacker. He seldom does his work and is supposed to be responsible so I was the one being caught up in it. It's my role to do my own responsibilities and support my brother." He continued. His eyes drifted away from the moon to yours. "I'm quite tired. I'm not really...I mean, it's my responsibility but, I think it's unfair or maybe I'm just being insensitive. This is my responsibility, I should shoulder it but I..." You stared at him. His eyes look distraught like it's unable to convey the emotion he's feeling. It's too overwhelming for him. Most of the time, he's too calm and collected but his emotions are a haywire right now. He doesn't know how to understand his own frustration right now. Why is he frustrated in the first place? He shouldn't be. It's his role to serve the commerce guild, he's a disciple of justice. What is he thinking? Why is it so loud? Why is everything so loud inside his mind? "Xingqiu." You called him but he remains soullessly staring at you, he's too absorbed by his thoughts and too concentrated on solving them by himself. He doesn't even notice that his eyes are already welling up to tears. "Hey, Xingqiu." You gently caressed his cheeks, wiping his tears away with your fingers. He blinked at you, his eyes slowly returning to consciousness. "It's alright to feel tired. It's fine to feel pressured. Don't downplay your emotions. It's normal to feel such a thing, you're not being irresponsible. It's not selfish to take a break. Most importantly, you do deserve a break from all of it." "But if I don't-" "But if you don't do your work, it will remain unfinished and might just pile up," you cut him off. "I understand that, of course." You continued. "So for now, let's take a break together then tomorrow I'll help you. I can go around and ask for the things you need or sign some papers up. When we're done, I'll talk to your brother." "W-Wait, why would you talk to my brother?" He questioned. "Oh, there's nothing to worry about. I'm just going to inquire him with some-" "Y/n, please don't." He looked at you with pleading eyes. "Please don't tell him." You sighed. "I'm not going to. Unless it's from you, I'm not going to say anything. Don't worry about it. I'm just going to tell him that I will take you for a while." "Take me?" "Yes, take you. I would take you for some self-care treatment. You deserve it and I won't take no for an answer." He hummed, his head resting on your shoulder. "And if something comes up..." "If something big of a task came up, we would walk through it together. If it's a small one, leave it to your brother. I'm sure he can handle such small tasks." You smiled as he sighed. "Are you sure about this?" "I've never been this sure, my dearest." He chuckled, smiling as he intertwined his fingers into yours. "Ah...I miss this feeling." "Feeling of..?" "Relief, my love. The feeling of calm and comfort. You're my safe haven, y/n."
A/N: It’s been a while since I posted something so here’s a Xiao one. Sorry, it took a while but I’ll try me best to write more since vacation is now here. Reader is gender-neutral. Hope you enjoy reading!
🍀💐🍀🍀💐🍀🍀💐🍀🍀💐🍀🍀💐🍀🍀💐🍀🍀💐🍀🍀💐🍀🍀💐
Black smokes and a pair of golden eyes. It’s the first thing that caught your eye as you arrived in the rooftop of the Wangshu Inn, a place that the traveler recommended on you as you told them you’re planning to go to Liyue, looking for a subject to sketch. The traveler warned you on the dangers you might encounter, making sure to remind you to call a friend of theirs in times of great danger and when you try to questioned it:
“He knows what to do. He’s an adeptus, a protector of Liyue,” they stated.
“Like a Knight of Favonious?” you questioned.
“You can say that…except the fact he works directly for their archon and really held great responsibility for the duties that the Geo archon laid upon him,” they explained further. “Oh and, please don’t forget to call him in case of danger. His name is-”
“Xiao.”
You uttered, staring into his golden eyes. You notice the black smokes surrounding him, you don’t know if it’s the effect of the teleportation he used or something else. You also take note of the spear he’s holding, the color same with the tips of his upfront hair. The once peaceful feeling on the terrace suddenly disappearing as the intense tension in the air completely evaporated it.
“How do you know my name?” He questioned, eyes squinting in suspicion. “You don’t seem like a citizen here. State your business.”
You blinked, “I-I’m from Mondstadt, I’m a friend of the traveler that-”
“The traveler, you say?”
As soon as he heard that, his whole demeanor changed. The black smokes slowly disappearing into thin air, clearing the whole tension that build up earlier. His grip on the spear relaxing a bit as he continues to inspect you.
“Did they send you here?”
His eyes remained looking at you carefully, maybe taking notes of your actions and what you might be up to. If not for mentioning the traveler, you might be in great danger now. Thank the Archons, the traveler warned you and lend you their knowledge for this trip.
“Not…exactly.” You answered, smiling slightly as you try to explain your reason. “You see, I came here because I need a new subject-”
“For what?”
“…Sketching an art. The traveler just assisted me on the things I should know before going here. They told me about you and to call you if ever I face something..really dangerous?”
He didn’t move an inch after your explanation. His lips remained in a straight line as he stared at you, processing your words before flipping his spear into the air which quickly disappeared in a blink. The movement making you flinch a little.
“The traveler’s right. In any case that you face something dangerous ahead, call my name. I’ll take care of it.”
He turned his back at you, looking at the view on the terrace as if scrutinizing every place around the inn. You watched as the wind blew, his hair dancing with it as the leaves on the tree fell into the terrace. You gently tiptoed to the side, not really going near him as it might put you in a bad situation. The sun reflecting half of his face add effects on what you were witnessing just right now. His gold eyes looking seriously but also faraway. You notice how the tips of his hair and his eyes seems to glow, you thought it might be because of the shade of the tree and the sun. His pale lips never moving an inch, remaining still like before.
You were too busy taking notes of everything you’re seeing. It’s perfect, way too perfect, in all honestly. The timing, the lighting and him, it’s pretty. A beautiful sight that you’re actually witnessing right now. A smile escaped your lips as you were taken in by the view. Fascinating.
“What are you still doing here?”
You blinked as he took a glance at you. All of your thoughts moving away for a second. Your smile turning into an awkward one as you thought he caught you looking too intensely at him.
“N-Nothing.” You tried to laugh, fixing your gaze into his gold orbs. “I just…really wanted to stay for a while. I mean, the scenery here is breathe taking like really breathe taking.”
He blinked slightly, confusion filling his eyes as he continued to look at you. You’re being weird in his eyes; your actions are too baffling for him. “You should go somewhere. Liyue has more places to offer with breath taking views. Don’t come near me as it might bring you in danger.”
Your head tilted in confusion, looking at him with a blank stare. “I don’t get it.”
“What?”
“I mean, you told me to call you whenever there’s danger and yet you threat yourself as a danger too. Aren’t you the protector of this city, Liyue?”
He scoffed. “You know there’s different kind of protectors, right?”
“Oh, so you mean like a vigilant or something. You’re like that?” you questioned; your voice fills with curiosity.
“Yes. Now, stay away-”
“But still, you’re just doing your duty right?” You cut him off unexpectedly. “Regardless of how evil or dangerous your actions are in your eyes, at the end of the day, it’s for the safety of the people here.”
He looked away, “You don’t get it, it’s much more complicated than that.”
You smiled, sitting down as you grab your sketching materials from your bag. “Can you explain it to me then?”
He sighed, “It’s something hard to-”
He stopped as soon as he saw you sitting down, a brush and a piece of paper in front of you as you were surrounded by brushes. At first, he was confused at what you were doing then it hits him.
“Are you secretly just keeping me distracted by talking to me?”
You hummed, glancing at him. “Not really, I’m curious too but I won’t pass any opportunity to sketch something…remarkable.”
“You’re wasting your time. Like what I said, there’s a whole lot of places than-”
“Say, can I…interest you into something?”
He looked at you in confusion. His eyes eyeing your brushes and other materials on the floor. You’re cutting his words, usually it was him that always cut someone off. It’s amusing, he thought but you’re being bizarre on your actions as time goes by. It’s not unusual for him to find a really determined and hard-headed mortals and you give off the same aura, except that you’re not begging him to give you wealth or something.
“Hello?” He snapped to reality as he heard your voice. You smiled as his eyes meet yours. “Are you okay?”
He closed his eyes; you should be no exception still. A mere mortal like you can’t get close too much to him or you’ll suffer, sooner and later.
“Get all of your stuff and leave.”
You lean back to the railings of the terrace, a sad smile forming your lips as you sighed. “Don’t I really stand a chance?”
“I told you, no.”
“Even if you’re the subject?”
His eyebrows knitted. “What? Do you really think that would make a difference?”
You chuckled. “Look, I’m trying. I’m not a good persuader like the traveler.”
He sighed, “You’re hopeless.”
A laughter escaped your lips on his remark. He looked at you as you laugh. He was never one for jokes, that meant to be an insult, he thought. Why are you laughing so light-heartedly? He wanted to ask you but you seem like you’re really having your time laughing and for some reason, he don’t want to disturb you. It’s the first time someone laughed at his comment with no any sign of malicious intent or hurt.
“Alright, I’m fine.” You fix yourself, fixing your throat for a second to stop yourself from laughing. “But seriously, don’t you wanted to see yourself in-”
“I’m not interested. A common behaviour of mortals like you was to always look for something priceable. I assumed you’re just going to sell it in high price anyway.”
You gasped in exaggeration, clutching your heart in a jokingly manner as you look at him. “That’s a very harmful stereotype to the people out there!”
“It was a normal act for mortals,” he deadpanned.
You hummed, “I mean, you’re not entirely wrong…”
“Because it’s what they are.”
You looked at the sky, thinking about what he said. “Say, do you have some deep grudge against these mortals?”
“Don’t call them like you’re not a part of them,” he stated.
You pouted. “I’m just asking.”
“Stop asking then.”
A sigh escaped your lips. “I don’t really sell some of my works, I only sell paintings or sketches of sceneries. It’s different when it’s personal.”
“Personal?”
“Something that really caught my eye, you know. Like what they said, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Whenever I see those moments, I keep them or sometimes I gave them to the people I shared the memories with. So…”
You looked at him, a warm smile on your lips. “I’ll give it to you once I’m done.”
He turned to you with a puzzled look, “What benefit is there for you then?”
“Connection with different people.”
“You should get close too much-”
“I know. Just let me sketch you and the scenery, then we’re finished,” you stated.
“Will you keep-”
“It’s a deal. I will keep those words.”
He looked at you intently as he tried to decipher your mind but no matter how he tried to looked at you, his curiosity just eats him more. You’re a weird one, he wanted to tell you but instead he kept it in his mind. He has a feeling you’ll just laugh again anyways.
He looked away. “Fine, just do it quickly.”
You cheered before picking up your brush again. “If I do it quickly, I won’t caught it perfectly.”
“You’re the one who wanted this,” he stated.
You pursed your lips. “It’s not my fault if I found my subject earlier than I anticipated.”
He glanced at you for a second before returning his gaze to the scenery ahead of him. He took note of the orange hue of the sky and the cold breeze of the wind. He closed his eyes as a thought entered his mind.
Maybe he can let this one slide.
[ REACH ] SCARAMOUCHE.
scaramouche is awkward the first time he lays beside you, rigid and hardly relaxed when his body slides under the covers—you’d almost think he doesn’t want to be near you if you didn’t know him any better. you keep a small distance between you both when you see the way he seems to stiffen the closer you get, whispering a soft goodnight before closing your eyes.
what you don’t seem to see, however, is the way his eyes wander to your figure every few seconds, lingering over your face and raking over your features. you don’t see the way his eyes soften when you curl into the sheets for warmth. you don’t see the way his hand reaches out as you sleep, a little shaky at first—hesitant. he brushes a finger against your cheek as if testing the waters—and then he retreats almost immediately.
because you look delicate like this, soft and fragile, too easy to disappear suddenly, like you were never there to begin with. he doesn’t think he should be here beside you—but then you crinkle your nose in your slumber, and despite his better judgement, he smiles a little at the sight. his fingers run over the swell of your cheeks and brush over the bridge of your nose, delicately tracing the skin as he maps your features.
it’s not until you nibble on his fingertip as he traces your bottom lip does he realize you’re now awake.
“what are you—”
“how romantic,” you tease, grinning cheekily as your eyes flutter open, “and here i almost thought you didn’t like me for a bit.”
“that’s because i don’t like you,” he grunts, pushing you away (though gently) as you scoot closer and wriggle your brows.
“if you wanted to cuddle, you could just ask,” you giggle, and he glares.
you’ve always been bold, far bolder than he should let you get away with—but you throw him the bright grin you always do, and somehow he finds himself softening the harsh edges, like the glass is rounded so he doesn’t cut you as you reach your hand out.
“i don’t,” he huffs, “now go to sleep.”
there’s a slight pout on his face—though, you don’t think he realizes as much, and pointing it out would only sour his mood more. so you smile to yourself, taking in the way his hand falls limply onto the mattress beside him.
if he craves to reach for you again, to feel the warmth of your skin press against the tips of his fingers one more time, he makes no indication of it. scaramouche never reaches first—he simply tolerates your back hugs and linked arms, let’s you follow him around and maybe even hold his hand if he’s in a good mood. there’s always a disgruntled protest, however weak it might be, but just like always, he never pulls away.
and something tells you he doesn’t want to—something about the way his expression breaks for a swift moment before it’s hardened again tells you that maybe he needs your touch more than you need his.
so you flick his forehead, make his brows furrow and his chest ache with that smile you shoot him, the same one that soothes over the cracks the world has left in him over the years and fills them until he’s whole. “i would be asleep, if someone didn’t wake me.”
he hates that you’re right—but more than anything, he hates how easily you trust him. he hates how easy it is for his harsh glares to go ignored, how easy it is not to care about his bitter words and cold resolve, how easy it is to give and give when you get nothing in return. and because you never seem to care just how hard it is to love someone like scaramouche, you wrap yourself around his arm, making him stiffen with a scowl.
“hey, get off,” he says—but even as he pokes your shoulder to make a point, he makes no moves to pull away. it tells you enough, you think, it tells you everything you need to know.
please don’t ever let go.
“are you sure you want that, kuni?” you hum, reaching to poke his cheek, “you sure seem to like touching me—”
“i’ve had enough,” he grunts, “you can go sleep in another bed.”
“this is my bed,” you snort.
you’re right again, which only makes him ten times more irritated, but maybe…maybe he’s also ten times more in love. he wonders for a moment—thinks whether or not someday he can really bring himself to admit it.
so for now, he doesn’t pull away—and he hopes that’s enough to make you keep reaching out.
“whatever,” he mutters, and almost too swiftly, as if he wills himself to do it before he can change his mind, his arm tugs you closer against his side, letting your head fall to his chest. “i’d say it’s ours now,” he says quietly.
you grin, reaching a hand out to grab his, squeezing gently as your fingers lace with his.
and when you whisper, “goodnight, kuni,” with a kiss to his chest, he doesn’t pull away.

A/N: Hi, this is the first time I'm posting an angst here. I actually wrote this a month ago and decided to post it just now so yep, here you go.
🍁Albedo x Reader🍁
The cold wind blew your hair as you sat down in the grass, leaning your back to the stone while humming.
"The weather is kind of clear today, don't you think?" You asked, glancing at your side.
Albedo smiles at you, nodding as he take a look on the sky too. Your eyes soften as you saw him smiling. His teal eyes looking directly at the sky. His rosy lips, smiling and enjoying the moment. It makes you smile too.
"How can you be this pretty and cute at the same time?" You asked, which he returned with a smug smile.
You chuckled. "Come on, stop that smile. You do know how well it fits you, don't you?"
He chuckled. His laugh echoing in your ears. It made your heart flutters and made the butterflies move inside your stomach. His eyes made you feel you're the luckiest person in the world...and you are. You have been the luckiest.
You trembled. Your lips started shaking as his figure slowly dissapear. A soft sob came out of your mouth as tears started streaming your eyes. It hurts. It really hurts. The once fluttering of heart has been change to the rough squeeze of pain. The butterflies has been replaced by a hollow feeling, emptiness.
You bit your lip as more loud sobs came out of your mouth. But your sobs are just uncontrollable, you're suffering. You've been suffering. But you're trying to make it. You really are. Heaven knows how hard for you it is. How you struggle every single time this day comes.
But how could you forget the pain in his eyes as you hold him close to you? How could you forget his own blood, slowly seeping out from his heart? How could you forget the way he touch and carresed your cheek as a last goodbye? How breathless he was, but still trying to utter your name every now and then, telling you he loves you.
How you tried to smile and calm him down by gently stroking his hair. How hard you bite the insides of your cheek to stop from crying. How you hold his hand to make him comfortable. You even sing him a lullaby. And his last words...his last words that you've been holding on.
"Y/n...I...promise, our next ending...would be a...better one...I love you...so much..."
You bit your lip as you glance at the stone you've been leaning on. His name engraved on it. You smiled sadly before looking at you wrist, staring at the yellow diamond tattoed on it before sighing and wiping off your tears.
You stand up. Looking at the gravestone and giving a genuine smile, repeating the same last words you told him.
"I'll wait...I'll wait, Al. I'll always wait for you..I love you too."
I
Here, take these Joshuas because I never get tired of drawing him
Venti × Reader (Genshin Impact)
(A/n: Just a short scenario of the first meeting of Venti and the reader. )
🍃💚🍃
Venti immediately smiled as he entered the Tavern and saw you. You were busy talking to a customer about something before finally getting their order and serving it.
Your eyes shows how nervous you are while talking to some stranger but you still do and the funny thing is that, whenever a customer comes up to you the first thing that comes out of you're mouth are:
"H-Hi, how are you today?"
He chuckled as he remembered you, asking that to him. He was just trying to look for Diluc and as soon as he approached the counter, that's the first question you asked.
And so, knowing how playful he is, he tried to play it off. He told you he was kinda feeling down and just sad and something. Then, he proceeds to sit down in front of the counter and started talking on and on. At first, he thought you'll be bored since, who wants to talk about sad things like this? Everyone wants to be positive and of course, the both of you are in 'The City of Freedom', Mondstadt.
"And so, it just...I don't know, I feel really sad about it..."he trailed off, slowly looking up to see your reaction.
He saw how your eyes blinked, though they don't held any confusion in them, they are just...looking like processing something...are you actually trying to process his words?
"Uhm..."He looked at you, waiting for your reaction. "Everyone feels lonely sometimes so I can't really blame you. You know...those black thoughts of ours are somewhat controlling sometimes but...we must know how to fight it. It's the main challenge of life afterall."
He blinked at you. Now, he was the one who's trying to process your words...your..advice. You give him an advice and now, he felt bad for playing his words on you.
"Uhh...well, thank you." He cleared his throat, trying to distract his own conscience.
"I-I'm sorry. I mean, I didn't meant to go and say something, that just comes out of my mouth. Don't mind those words if they disturb you or anything!" You apologized as soon as you felt the awkwardness in his words.
Venti gulped, feeling his conscience rising up. Damn, he didn't know you were actually going to listen to that and hearing you apologized because of his own awkwardness that actually hides that those words are just plays...he feel ashamed. Goodness, he's the God of Wind, this is such a shame for a god.
"H-Hey, don't apologize. I'm the one who should apologize..."he said nervously.
You shot him a confused look which make him more uncomfortable on the situation he lets his self into.
"You see...I was just...trying to see your reaction if I told you something sad, I...didn't mean anything of that."
He saw how your E/C orbs looks at him directly. Are you mad? Well, of course you will. Looks like he's going to be banned in the tavern.
"You're...lying," You picked up a glass of wine and poured it with a wine. "You sounds like you really meant those words, that's not a fake one. I know it when it's the feelings that's talking."
Venti opened his mouth to say something but nothing comes out. He meant those? But he's just playing, what are you talking about?
"Sometimes people tried to hide their feelings by tricking their own mind." You smiled at him, "Here, have some of this, that might not be the best one since I was still learning that but that's the only free thing I made right now. Enjoy your drink."
He watched as your eyes slowly drifted away from him and go towards to the another customer who sat just two seats beside him.
"H-Hi, how are you today?"
He looked at the drink you gave him, chuckling silently as he takes a sip. As soon as he tasted it, he blinked. It wasn't the best, like what you said. But he knows exactly what type of wine this is. A Dandelion Wine...you actually gave him a dandelion wine.
He takes a sip once more before looking at you, "H-Hey."
"Yeah?"
"I'm Venti, what's your name, Ms. Caring Barkeeper?"
You chuckled, "I'm Y/n, Nice to meet you, Mr. Green man."
A/N: Hi, I've been thinking about posting this since it's Albedo and apparently, I love him. So yeah...enjoy the fluff.
"And maybe a bit of this would be enough.."
You stared at your beloved significant other as he made something like a potion. He's been putting different ingredients together for who knows what result it would be but he seems pretty focused on it that you don't want to interrupt him.
You watched as he slowly mix it all up, tilting your head to see his face. His eyes were pretty focus on mixing, probably analyzing the changes that's happening on the potion. His face has this determined and curious look but after a while, his lips turned into a smile as the potion glows.
A small smile formed his lips as he stared at the potion. He immediately take out his notes and write something on it.
"This is just what I expected, I'm glad it came out well. This potion would be pretty much useful..." he mumbles. "Then I'll probably going to test it sooner or later..."
He blinks, slowly raising his head just to meet your e/c orbs. Probably realizing that it was your stare he's been feeling for a while.
"Y/n? Something wrong?"
You shaked your head, "Nope, just...observing my research topic."
He looked at you curiously, "Research topic..on me?" He put away his notes, sitting just in front of you. "What did you find out then?"
You smiled, pulling out a small notebook from your pocket. "Let's see..."
You glance at him, he seems really curious on what you write down about him. You bit the inside of your cheek to prevent yourself from chuckling.
You cleared your throat, reading the notes you take down.
"You're eyes are just too amazing to look at but it's beauty remains even if you're focus on your research. The way you unconsciously smile every now and then is also a wonderful sight to see. Also, when you're mumbling things, it's weird how it adds to your charm. "
You put down your notes, looking at him. A small smug smile plastered on his lips. His eyes looking so amusely at you.
"And...the conclusion...?" He asked, tapping his fingers gently on the table.
"Conclusion? You're a precious one. Just overall, you're pretty cute. One hundred percent successful."
He chuckled, shaking his head slowly. "Will you consider making a part two of this research?"
You hummed. "Why not? I don't think I would get tired observing things from my research topic, it's...pretty interesting."
"So this is how it will play, huh?" He smirked.
"Yep. Let's do our research together." You grinned, winking at him.
He chuckled before getting up, looking at his notes again. "Alright, I'll just test this potion and while I'm doing that..." He glance at you, a smug smile on his lips. "You can continue observing your research topic."
This scene kills my heart with butterflies.
