..so he is a mermaid. (Or merman, in this case, but still.)
Where I'm going with this is... reverse Little Mermaid. 🧜🏼♀️
Godwyn sings an edited Part of Your World while on a cliffside next to the ocean, lamenting how he can't swim. (No one in the Lands Between can. Everyone fells to water.)
He then gets his beautiful tail.
He doesn't know how to use it properly yet and is struggling and all that before he finally gets in the water and can actually swim.
Then he sings the short reprise of Part of Your World while in the ocean. (Which would also give us that iconic rock scene/pose with the waves behind Godwyn when he hits that final note.)
He's swimming with the fishies and having a blast under the water when he finds... the sea witch.
..and is instantly smitten.
He spends his time trying to gain her favor and win her over, bringing her little gifts that are from land.
It works.
She simply adores him and the little treasures he brings her from land, she loving all the shiny trinkets and jewelry he has given her and finds it a sweet gesture. (After all, fish love shiny things and come, come, come to the brightest thing that glitters!)
They get to know eachother more and she brings him to her lair in the deep sea which is just an underwater cave with tons of glowing sea plants to light up the place.
She then reveals that she's not actually a witch at all and was just called that because people think she's evil, the people of the ocean seeing the deep, dark sea where she resides dangerous and overall evil.
Meanwhile, our "Erik" of the story is actually someone from land who is trying to stop Godwyn from going between land and water.
And perhaps even tries to kill him along the way.
And is actually more of a true witch than the sea witch is.
You guessed it.
It's Ranni.
Sunday singing Cruel Angel's Thesis.
I can't stop thinking about it.
Something horrible about not knowing how to draw is that I have all these little people in my head that are probably going to stay in there forever, unless I write about them instead. Which I probably won't do cause I'm tired and also, ironically enough, suck at writing.
Ya'll, I just got reposted with the tags being, "I FOUND A QUEELIGN FAN THEY'RE REAL" and "I don't see the vision but I support you."
Curious, I scrolled through the entirety of the posts under the "Fire Knight Queelign" tag and, uh...
Guys? Why am I the only one who said something nice about him there? HELLO?? WHAT DID MY BOY DO??? 😭
"you should be at the club" I should be working on my fanfic
I got uncursed Miquella...
..Should I be concerned about my well-being???
Oh my God— IT ALL MAKES SENSE!!
(Slight St. Trina Spoilers Below)
This might also mean (if the nymph comparisons were intentional) that in either a second dlc or second game, she might come back!
I'm pretty sure in different versions of the myths, Daphne at least comes back from being turned into a tree after supposedly dying, though I'm not too sure about Minthe. Which means that St. Trina might be able to come back to life from dying/becoming a flower!
She coming back you guys, she's coming back!
So, this is going to be my first post on Tumblr... Me talking about the possible anthousai, or flower nymph, symbolism (???) with St. Trina. I'm probably just sleep deprived and my brain is all shriveled from too much caffeine and blue light, but just hear me out...
I've always been really big into Greek mythology and video games, so it was no wonder that my brain immediately went to, "St. Trina is a FLOWER NYMPH???" the very moment she popped onto my screen. She fits the description perfectly.
Flower nymphs are described to be immortal being with hyacinth-like hair and, in typical Greek fashion, very beautiful. Now, we can check the hyacinth-like hair off as a 'yes' since Trina clearly has bright purple hair. And now, I also believe we can check the beautiful part off as 'yes' too since Trina is very beautiful, but also because beauty is often also compared to the youth of a woman as well. And we all know St. Trina is youthful.
Something that also made me think about flower nymph symbolism is, of course, the 𝘧𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘴. St. Trina has a lot to do with flowers, such as the St. Trina's Lily that you can find in-game. Once you defeat Miquella and Radahan, you can go back to a now dead Trina and retrieve a "helm" from her that is also a flower. You find St. Trina in a flowery area as well. So, clearly, flowers are a big part of her character.
But, what I also want to mention is the state you find her in. When you find her, she is seems as though she is sprouting out of a giant plant. Now, this, in my own head, also seems to be related to the whole nymph thing. Take, for instance, Minthe. Minthe is a water nymph that was trampled to death by either Persephone or Demeter, depending on the myth, and then turns into the mint plant upon dying. Daphne, another nymph, turned into a laurel tree while running away from Apollo, dying in the process depending on who you ask as well.
What we can take from this is whenever a nymph dies they turn into their respective plant, that having been stated multiple times as well in Greek mythology. This all further solidifies my analysis on St. Trina having nymph symbolism, specifically that of an anthousai/flower nymph.
Damn, I rambled for way too long for my first post... Anyway– Goodbye and All Hail Her Majesty of Sleep!🪻
I'm really feeling—
–this one, for some reason. I feel like it just fits. You know, color scheme and all that.
Feel free to reblog to share your own ideas though. :D
Finally got around to making a proper intro to my blog along with some guidelines for requesting and asks. 𖹭
Yes, I can and will answer questions. You can request I do things as well since requests tend to get me motivation to actually DO things.
I'll take requests for fanfics/one-shots and headcanons for certain characters from any fandoms I am in.
I also do a lot of theories and theorize.
If you do not know the fandoms I talk about, here is a little list for ya'll.
Elden Ring (Main Game and DLC)
Dungeons and Dragons/DND
Honkai Star Rail/HSR
Genshin Impact
Armored Core 6
Cult of the Lamb (Main Game and Free Updates)
Skyrim
Delicious in Dungeon/Dungeon Meshi
Bungou Stray Dogs/BSD
The Amazing Digital Circus/TADC
Epic: The Musical
Some not so popular ones I'm in are also:
Violet Evergarden
My Happy Marriage
Skul: The Hero Slayer (Main Game and DLC)
I will edit and update the list everytime I start talking about another fandom, so keep that in mind!
Anyway, as for guidelines about requests and all that, I will really do anything writing wise in fanfics, I think, as long as everything is CONSENSUAL and LEGAL then we are good. (I really can't think of any other guidelines than that.)
Alright, I think that's it. Bye ya'll.
..What that hand do though? 😏 (I'M SO SORRY FOR MY BEHAVIOR)
