THIS! I FRIKIN HATED THIS!

Rick is an amazing writer but why the fuck didn't he utilize the Aphrodite kids better? Why did we never got to see how the other Aphrodite kids react to Silena's betrayal?

Why did we never get to see how the other kids view the Aphrodite cabin after the war?

We know that the Aphrodite kids weren't respected much at first but did the other cabins start to fear them because they realized what they could do? Or did they start to hate them and began to associate them as the cabin who housed/ are related to a traitor and a spy?

Drew was the only one who showed any kind of reaction to Silena's betrayal and her totally valid anger was portrayed so negatively that it pissed me off

I know that Rick Riordan only used Drew (and to some extent, the rest of the Aphrodite kids) as an accessory to make Piper look better. But what he should have done was use Drew and the other Aphrodite to actually make Piper better.

Piper was clearly a lonely kid who wanted a family, and the Aphrodite cabin could have been that family. Aphrodite is the goddess of love for crying out loud.

Rick could have made Piper be like "These guys are my family". He could have had Piper walk into the Aphrodite cabin and notice that they were a total mess (despite what the other campers say) divided into two groups, the ones who believed that Silena was a hero who gave up her life to save them. And the ones who believed that Silena was a traitor who tricked and lied to them.

Neither side is wrong of course but the Aphrodite kids refuse to believe that.

Since Piper is new, she could have been the fresh perspective they needed who isn't biased because obviously she hasn't met Silena and never will.

She could have asked questions, listen to stories, and offered a shoulder to cry on. Piper could have made them realize that neither side is wrong and that they shouldn't start hating each other because of another person's actions, while she herself realizes that ones own actions could affect others much more then she originally thought. She could have thought back to all the people she caused trouble for as well as her dad. She could have realized her own faults and immaturity, and become someone that represents storge. She could have helped the Aphrodite cabin truly heal.

rick not doing anything with the aphrodite cabin in relation to Silena and her betrayal of them in HOO with Piper as a POV character??? coward or idiot? i wouldn't be surprised if it never accrued to him to explore those emotions because he would have always planned to have them be a budget mean girls

A minor detail that I like in The Owl House is the fact that Hunter (in my opinion) had a terrible sense of style.

Like look at this! What is this?!

The triangle patterned button up with those horrendous looking brown shorts AND FUCKING CROCS?! Like I know that they had bigger things to worry about but the others dressed fine, more then fine actually, I really liked what the others wore, but this man really picked out a furry costume when they were shopping for clothes, like I know that it looks like flapjack and it's supposed to be cute but still!

Anyways, I feel like him having a terrible sense of style does make a lot of sense since we know that he's a Grimwalker (clone whatever) so he probably came to life at like 14-15 and had probably never worn anything other then his Golden Guard/ Emperor coven's uniform, training clothes or maybe battle armor.

can we all agree not to be weird when Nico Di’Angelo’s actor gets announced? if the show stays true to the books, the actor could be under ten years old, a literal baby, so let’s collectively take a deep breath and remember the actors are real people and the characters are completely fictional. we already failed when Annabeth’s actor was announced

Am I the only one who doesn't like the Body cam, dash cam, security cam or whatever else kinda cam footage there is in The Rookie?

Like the entire episode is just footage of their body cams or whatever and I just don't like it!

I know that they're probably going for something realistic, trying to get the viewers to feel like they're watching actual police work but it just looks cheap and low quality and it makes me dizzy.

Plus I know that I'm not watching a real police documentary because that's not what I came for AND IT'S NOT WHAT I WANT!! SO GIVE ME HIGH QUALITY VISUALS OF THESE SCENES THAT AREN'T CHEAP LOOKING GO PRO FOOTAGE!!

drew has great difficulty saying i love you to anyone. she cant remember the last time she’s said it without dripping sarcasm.

but leo manages to say it so easily - it rolls off his tongue like warm honey. it’s sweet and genuine and it makes drew melt (not that she’d ever show him).

one day they’re hanging out in leo’s cabin alone and drew sucks up her pride and tries her best to tell him- *i love you* because she *does* and she needs him to know. *i love you. thank you for loving me. i love you. i love you.*

“…leo.”

“yeah?” leo turns to her from his place sitting on the floor with all of his mechanical magazines spread all around him. he’s all smiley and happy to hear his name on her voice and drew wants to cry.

she tries. *i love you. i love you.* she opens her mouth but the words get choked up in her throat like a bunch of thorns. she snaps her mouth shut in embarrassment and frowns and grips his bedsheets - she doesn’t understand *how* he’s able to just. say it.

leo stares at her, still smiley and oblivious, patiently waiting for what she has to say.

drew just shakes her head with a huff and slides off the bunk and wraps her arms around his neck, hiding her face flush red with embarrassment. leo lets out a little yelp of surprise, but doesn’t hesitate to reciprocate.

“tell me you love me.” she asks, uncharacteristically quietly.

leo holds her by her waist and presses an innocent kiss to her temple. “i love you.” and it’s the truth, as easily as someone can say one - leo loves her, loves her, loves her, and it makes drew’s heart swell.

“are you okay, though?” leo pulls away and places his hands on her shoulders to look at her.

“m’ okay,” drew swiftly responds, placing her hands over his. his hands are course and rough from all the handiwork he does, and drew lightly runs her fingers over the cracked, dry skin and the small indented scars. his hands ground her - she’d love to hold those warm, worn hands in hers forever, she realizes.

“are you sure? that was kinda sudden,” leo gently pushes. he gingerly moves his hands to cup her face, and drew sighs fondly and closes her eyes.

“i’m sure.”

leo kisses her nose and holds her figure to his chest.

“i love you, drew.” he repeats.

drew hugs him tighter. i love you, too.
