reasons to write fanfiction (I'll start):
share a cool scene that popped into your head
evoke a particular emotion the canon makes you feel
song made you think of a character or idea from canon
make people feel the same way about a character you do
make dolls kiss for fun
explore ideas the canon hints at but doesn't do anything with
traumatize characters and make them suffer
coddle characters and let them rest
had an insane idea for a crack ship and now everyone needs to know
the author of the canon was wrong and must be fixed
use familiar characters to explore your own ideas and plotlines
canon is too short and you need to wallow in the universe of the story
🍂 ‘When death’ll close my eyelids
And my race on earth is run,
Will you miss me when I’m gone?’ 🍂
the problem with being creative is that you start to feel very guilty when you haven’t created anything in a while
the ornithologist and the lady of the forest
Over the garden wall during December ❄️☃️❤️🥹

An aquarium in Japan was closed for renovations, and their resident sunfish got depressed not seeing visitors. So the staff put some uniforms with printed faces against the tank, and it immediately recovered.
I just wanna say that if you ever feel like you don't belong in fandom because your art or writing isn't "up to par," by certain standards, fucking do it anyway. Because it's fandom. There shouldn't be any standards other than to have fun.
Don't talk yourself out of drawing that picture or writing that goofy fic because you're worried it's too much of a crack idea. Don't worry about how it's going to be received. If it makes you happy, do it.
You can play in the sand box however you want. Just don't be a dick.
We need more fan art of my girl Durian out there🙏🙏🙏
(feel free to use the tag #JusticeforDurian if anyone wants to join in on this and perhaps make this a thing, which would be greatly appreciated 👀)
