It wasn’t too often that Ayato would get a day off, but he made sure to free up at least one day to go to the festival with you.

You couldn’t help but feel self conscious of yourself when you walked alongside him. It wasn’t that you weren’t feeling your best- quite the opposite actually. In the days leading up to tonight, Ayaka helped you pick out your outfit and accessories for tonight. And earlier in the day, she and Thoma gave you a mini makeover.

Even you had to admit that you ended up looking really nice. The two probably worked super hard to get you to look like this.

“Ayato’s gonna fall in love with you all over again,” you recall Thoma saying.

You found Ayato already waiting at the festival entrance- and your jaw almost dropped. The soft lighting from the festival, paired with the petals falling about, your boyfriend looked absolutely ethereal in your eyes.

Ayato greets you with a quick peck, his gaze growing softer by the minute.

“You look quite handsome today,” you giggle, your hands finding his to hold.

“And you look quite pretty today too, I suppose this is the work of my sister and Thoma?” he asks, lips already curling up into a smile as you nod.

“But you know,” Ayato hums, carefully brushing away a fallen petal off of your head, “I always think you’re pretty.”

Turns out you were the one falling in love with him all over again.

a/n: My Jean simping continues, and so does my streak of writing random things instead of my requests. I swear I'll get to them, but there are simply aren't enough requests with Jean in my inbox, so I have to do it myself /hj

Nilou

While some might get shy, embarrassed, or sometimes more brazen around the person they liked, Nilou’s friendly behaviour didn’t change too much around you. Sure, there were times she’d say something to you without thinking it over, nearly losing her composure as a result, but those were exceptions, no the rule.

Whenever Nilou found some extra time, she liked to invite you to the great Bazaar, no matter if she had a performance and wanted you to be in the audience or simply wanted to spend time with you. From all of the places in Sumeru city, there weren’t many that could rival it in her eyes, and while the lively atmosphere was great even when on her own, with you it felt just the better.

Sometimes you’d actually buy something, but often the two of you would simply look from stall to stall while either chatting with each other or talking to the shop-owners, who were already more than used to seeing both of you around.

The moment Nilou and you had entered the Bazaar, she had began to lead you all the way to a small shop selling all kinds of pastries, sweets and other such things, and while you first thought that it must have been a new store, having never visited or even seen it before, the way Nilou and the shop-owner talked made it obvious that this wasn’t the first time she bought something from them.

“Please, feel free to pick something that you’d want, that’s on me”, Nilou offered to you, causing you to think about it for a few seconds. While you weren’t the biggest fan of pastries, the thought of not ordering anything, when she had been so excited to show the stall to you, left you with a bitter taste, causing you to pick the same thing she did, causing her order them right away.

“How does it taste?”, Nilou asked after watching you take your first bite, only for a smile to appear on her face once again when saw your subconscious smile and you told her you liked it, happy to see you happy.

Jean

While there were many people in the knights of Favonius and Mondstadt that tried to convince their acting Grandmaster to not overwork herself too much, most of their attempts failed, and the ones that succeeded only did so for a day or two max. So, when Jean actually began trying to end her work or take breaks long enough to spend a bit of time with you, people around her couldn’t help but be surprised to say the least.

Your outings wouldn’t be long, consistint of small walks through the city with maybe a shop visit or two every once and again, during which you made sure no one bothered her with unimportant requests. And while your conversations sometimes had the semblance of professionality, other times the two of you talked about whatever came to your minds.

“Even a short walk outside does wonders after sitting in an office for a few hours”, you stated out loud once the two of you returned to Jean’s office. While you had your own office with your own work waiting for you to come back, you figured that accompanying the acting Grandmaster back to her office wouldn’t ruin your schedule too much. And while you certainly planed on leaving her to work on her own after just a few minutes, that quickly changed when your eyes landed on a small novel on top of her desk.

“Ah- Lisa must have left it here the last time she paid me a visit”, Jean quickly lied once she realised you were staring at the romance novel she had read in a small break and forgot to put away before agreeing to meet you, only for the embarrassment she felt to be joined by the feeling of shame about lying to you and using her friend as a scapegoat, but at the same time she couldn’t help but fear what you’d think of her if you knew the truth.

“Oh okay, makes sense. But you should try and give it a read, I know it looks like a cheesy romance novel, but I personally thought that it’s actually pretty good”, you responded after walking over to her desk and taking the novel into your hands, only to hand it to a still red Jean.

For a few moments, Jean had no idea what to say. Your words were almost exactly the same she’d use if she had to try to convince another person to pick it up, and while she couldn’t help but feel even more embarrassed because of it, another part of her felt really happy about it.

“Thank you for the recommendation, I will give it a read if I find the time for it”, she told another white-lie, only for her heart to skip a beat when she saw your smile widen because of her.

I mentioned how the Forgers have developed habits around where they sit around the dining table and the living room, especially Twilight who has his preferred seats.

But in this episode, we see other habits the family has developed that show just how domesticated they - especially Twilight - has become.

Yor is the one who washes the dishes - again, something we've seen since the start of the series, but now it's just how the family works. She also makes the tea and coffee.

And there's a moment where Twilight just wordlessly and reflexively hand his coat to Yor when he comes back home with Anya and Bond, as if that's just what he always does.

Twilight walks the dog - we know from later chapters that that is his responsibility while Yor is the one who bathes Bond. He's the one who helps Anya with her homework. He's the one who cooks (when the family wants something edible)...

Both husband and wife have settled into their roles in the family. What Yor doesn't do well, Twilight does, what Twilight knows Yor does better, she has the responsibility.

The last point here is that Fiona says she knows Twilight would be away from home, walking his dog. She could have just been tailing him... except he would have noticed. It suggests Twilight has developed a routine, not something a good spy would do.

It is doubtful even Twilight has noticed these habits and routines. He probably thinks he's changed how he lives his life because of the mission. Sure, Jan.

Your first date with Eula

Eula

Eula never was good when it came to conveying her true feelings in words, was it because of her pride and upbringing as an aristocrat, or simply because she didn’t have many people, she’d consider close. So, when she asked you to meet her near one of Mondstadt’s lakes later in the day, intending to “finally answer your pleas and teach you the basics” of one of her dances, while finding it hard to look at you, only for a relieved expression and small smile to make their way onto her face when you agreed, you quickly caught on to what she was meant.

“I have to admit that you’re a quick learner, but don’t even think about getting self-satisfied because of one little compliment. You still have a long way to go if you wish to get good at it”, Eula stated after seeing your latest attempt at repeating the part she had taught you earlier, and while it was still a bit clunky, she decided to cut you some slack, considering it was your first day of practice.

And while she would have loved to continue watching you, somewhat taking pride in seeing you learn as quickly as you did, not even her dancing lessons were important enough to justify ignoring the sun beginning to set and continuing into the night, and so, after taking one last, quick glance at the sky, Eula once again opened her mouth, “It’s getting late. We can continue next time, but for now we should return to the city.”

“So, there’s going to be a ‘next time’? I have to admit that while I heard of courageous nobles, I didn’t expect you to be brazen enough to invite me to a second date when the first one isn’t even completely over”, you joked, not being able to control your urges to tease her.

If Eula had decided to chase you at that very moment, no matter if with or without the extra weight of her claymore in hand, you were pretty sure that you wouldn’t have been able to outrun her, feeling tired from all the practice. But nothing happened, instead, the Lawrence just stood there, and while you had expected her to open her mouth to reprimand you, you were surprised when you found a smirk on her lips instead.

“If that’s the case, you’d be surprised of what else I am capable of“, she decided to play along, only for you to be at a loss for words, not having expected Eula's response, resulting in the two of you staring at each other in awkward silence, before both of your faces began turning red and both of you silently agreed to change the subject.

it was this morning when the news was brought to you telling thoma has come down with a slight fever. to say it's strange was an understatement. your ever so reliable boyfriend who's so fond on taking care of people that he's always in a top-notch condition got sick? but alas, after witnessing his condition with your own very eyes, it turns out the news was no deception.

his body glued to his futon, breath somewhat ragged, his cheeks dusted red. you frowned seeing he's in pain.

"____?" he called out meekly, probably sensing a familiar presence. "i'm here, do you need something?" you combed his golden locks back, carefully not to disrupt the position of the towel on his forehead. his eyes still in a daze, the discomfort of the illness was apparent on his expression. "you should go back home, i don't want you catching what i have," he said, although it was quite obvious that he did not want you going anywhere by the way he was already holding your hand the moment he saw you.

"hmm, are you sure?" you said teasingly, staring at your still tightly-gripped hand. thoma was quite for a moment, torn between indulging his vulnerable selfish desire or letting you go. he nodded as a response, reluctantly loosening his hold on your hand. you just chuckled at his generous stubbornness. it would have been perfectly fine if he wanted you to stay.

"well i can't really say no to a sick person can i? i'll come back later then, feel better soon love." you leaned in and kissed his half-lidded eyelid gently. however before you could get back up you felt his hands entrapped you, pulling you so your body stayed on top of him. "umm thoma, honey?" you called him, worried something might be wrong.

"want you to stayyy," he whimpered; finally giving in. his tone was almost childlike, sounded so needy that you could not really believe your ear. however this made you giddy.

you love your reliable boyfriend with all or your heart, but sometimes you were worried that he's not putting himself first at times. you also wanted to be the one who takes care of him. and in this moment of weakness, a chance finally arrived that you could pamper and spoil him rotten without him attempting to turn the tables on you. also may you add that clingy thoma was extremely adorable.

"and i'm here baby i'm not going anywhere," you said as you raise your head, resting your gaze on his reddened face. "but to make sure," he trailed off, taking the towel on his forehead and put it aside. "thoma, you needed that-" but before you could finish your sentence, suddenly you were under him, the golden-haired male rested his head on your chest, getting comfortable. this way, you couldn’t really go now could you? "it's fine, the fever wasn't that bad anyway," he mumbled although he obviously shouldn't be the judge of that.

you sighed softly, "should i really be taking the word of a man who's clearly delirious?" you played with his hair, untangling the tangled strand of locks here and there. "if anything, i think you could be a little lenient to your poor and weak sick lover." he said, palpably satisfied as to how the whole thing escalated.

that was four hours ago.

you had watched him nap, talked a little, but there's still no sign of him letting you go any soon. or in other words, you're really trapped.

"thoma, please? i just wanted to grab a glass of warm water for you," you said while writing gestures on his back, trying to grab his attention. thoma responded by snuggling closer--if that's even possible. so that's a no.

you tried again. "hey, i'm gonna get angry you know?" you faked a scolding tone. he immediately lifted up his face to stare at you pleadingly. continuing the parade will feel like kicking a puppy so you dropped it quickly. "fine maybe i won't, but you need to stay hydrated and i can even make a quick snack for you while i'm at it," you stated, thinking perhaps bribing would work. he pondered, the thought of your cooking has caught his attention.

"okay," he finally agreed, reluctantly getting up just to lie back down on the pillow because of the dizziness. you sat up, preparing to go to the kitchen before yet again a pair of hands pulled you back in. huh hasn't this happened before????

your back rested nicely against his chest, his hands secured safely around your stomach. "thomaaa," this time you whined, he has trapped you in his embrace yet again. not that you didn't like it, but you just wanted to make sure he's feeling content; not thirsty or hungry.

"what?" he replied innocently. "don't you want something to drink or eat?" you asked, genuinely concerned. "you being here is my medicine, really." and that wasn't a lie, with you by his side on such close proximity already made him thousand times better than when he woke up this morning. "there's no way that's medically true."

you just sighed, giving in. "alright then, but that was your chance okay? i won't bring you a glass of water even if you beg me to later." you fumed. that was a lie of course. you could be running in full speed right this very second searching for help if thoma expresses the slightest form of discomfort.

"and mine is quite clingy when he's sick"

he chuckled, "my lover is so kind."

"and you love him"

you laughed.

"and i love him."
