This is absolutely not important, but I admire how every time we get a glimpse of the Forger’s hallway we see *new* - and increasingly real - family pictures.

When the series first started, there was that lone Forger Family portrait where Yor and Anya both look like they need the bathroom.

And then we got the cringe and doctored photos that were part of the lovey-dovey package when Yuri first visits.

After that we see the cringest photos removed - it's now all Family Forger, all the time. But at this point in the story - right after the Doggy Crisis - the photos are still all 'staged'.

But by the time Nightfall visits, we see a new photo of the Forgers, this time, with Bond too! And that does not look like they are in a photo studio. More like Bond trying to take a selfie in a park somewhere. (Yes, if Bond can see the future, he can take selfies.)

When we get a good glimpse of the Forger's hallway again in the manga after Nightfall's visit, when Bond sees a vision of him possibly dying from eating Yor's cooking, there are now more new photos: Bond licking Anya like she's made of peanut butter (she's had so much peanuts that...maybe?), and another of the whole Forger family together, smiling and acting natural.

I hope this becomes a recurring thing in the series - every time we see the top of that cabinet there will be new pictures of the Forger family, until the end of the series when it's just creaking under the weight of all the photos.

Because they are the memories Loid, Yor, Anya and Bond have made together. They are evidence that it happened, and that all of it was real.

This is, of course, my first time writing for either of these two characters, so I'm sorry if I'm making a few mistakes when it comes to their personalities, but I think it should be fine

Yelan

Yelan knew about you long before you had even met her, she had to make sure that the new hire at the Liyue Qixing didn’t have any ill intentions after all, but once the two of you finally met, you instantly got along with each other, her relaxed and easy going attitude a welcome change from the stress inducing one’s your bosses seemed to have around them all the time. While your friendly and open attitude, that made even strangers reveal small secrets to you from time to time, being too busy enjoying their drinks to care, coupled with your willingness to tell Yelan about them if asked, made hanging out with you both a nice way to procrastinate while getting enough information to technically be considered part of her job.

Even after the two of you had become, what you would consider, good friends, there were still a lot of things you knew she wouldn’t tell you about, most of them about her job. You had asked once about why exactly she needed information about a citizen of Liyue, assuming of course that her job required her to do so, she made it very clear that, since it was part of her job, she wouldn’t tell you. You completely understood, never asking about such things again, while simply enjoying spending time with her. But there were things you knew about her that most others, who even knew about the existence of a woman called “Yelan”, wouldn’t even dream about knowing.

You had finally managed to get a few days off, deciding that it would be a great opportunity to visit Yelan, and while her house laid well outside of the city, you eventually arrived in front of her door, knocking on it, only to have to wait much longer than you expected before it finally opened, revealing your friend giving you her usual smile.

“Well, what a surprising visit you decided to pay me”, she greeted you, the thought of how you had managed to surprise the usually so informed Yelan, making you smile, only for you to remember what an unhealthy sleep schedule she seemed to have whenever she didn’t necessarily have work to do.

“Did I awaken you from your sleep?”, you asked teasingly, only for her to shoot back immediately in a similar playful matter.

“That’s confidential, I could tell you, but sadly wouldn’t be allowed to keep you alive afterwards”, after shooting you another smile, she finally let you inside, and it wasn’t long before the two of you started playing a game of dice against each other. “I could use this chance to win a few Mora from you, but how about we spice it up a bit? The winner gets to ask the looser anything”, she offered, causing you to give her a look of suspicion. When she said “anything”, did she truly mean it? Probably not really, since you doubted that she would tell you anything about her work even if you won, not that you wanted to know anyway. But you decided not to voice your doubts, instead giving her a nod.

Well, it wasn’t like you even had to think about what to ask her, since no matter how much luck you seemed to have, Yelan would always top you, and while her questions started out standard, asking you about things like work, they grew more and more personal with each question.

“What’s your taste in women?”, she eventually asked with as straight of a face as ever, and while the last question had already seemed a bit too personal for your taste, this one made your heartbeat faster than usual whenever you thought about what would come next.

“Well, I don’t really have one… I’m not that picky, if they are entertaining to hang out with, I guess”, you answered truthfully, well not completely, since there was someone you had eyes for.

“Then what about me?”, she asked, topping all her previous questions while making your face as red as the Jueyun chillies she loved to eat.

“T-that’s more than one question”, you stuttered out, frantically trying to buy your brain enough time to figure out any reasons she might have said something like that, baring the obvious of course, since that was too good to be true.

“Of course, how silly of me”, she stated, only to immediately get the highest possible score, making it unnecessary for you to even try and beat it. “Well, what about me?”, she stated once more, leaning forwards before putting her head in her hands while resting her arms on the table.

After seeing you fail to form a coherent sentence more than once, she leaned back before speaking again. “Fine, let me a different question”, when you heard her words, you finally managed to calm your nerves down a bit, only for all your blood to shoot into your head once again immediately afterwards.

“I like you as more than just a friend, do you feel the same?”, before you even had the chance to think about it, your body immediately went into autopilot, nodding enthusiastically without delay, causing the woman in front of you to smile at you once again.

Kuki Shinobu

You had known Shinobu for a very long time, having been friends with her long before she and her family got on rather… difficult terms. But when she had gone to study in Liyue for a few years, the two of you lost contact, only for her to come back and become part of the Arataki-gang, something you couldn’t help but find odd. Sure, you hadn’t seen her for years, but her joining that group of rather unusual individuals, wasn’t something you had ever expected from her.

But when the two of you met again, you somewhat rekindled your old friendship. Sure, the two of you had changed a lot, and instead of wearing the shrine maiden clothes you had expected an adult Shinobu to wear, she had found a different way to dress, most notably wearing a mask to hide her face even though you had never thought that there was a need for her to do so, but at the core you were still the same people as back then.

You couldn’t pinpoint exactly when, but at some point in your friendship Shinobu had stopped acting entirely professional around you, acting far more friendly than before. It may have been far from the friendliness others, like maybe that Naganohara girl, seemed to offer, but still a big enough change for you to notice, not that you had anything against it, since you were just happy to have your old friend back. And while she still insisted on wearing her mask most of the time, she wouldn’t seem as embarrassed as the first time you accidentally caught her taking it off.

You had plucked a few lavender melons since you seemed to remember Shinobu having told you about how they tasted better when roasted and decided to pay her a visit to ask for a few tips, only to encounter what seemed to be the rest of the “Arataki-gang”, but without their name giving leader.

“Hey, I’m sorry to-”, you looked at what they were doing, only to find them stand around two beetles fighting each other, leaving you with more questions than answers, but decided to continue anyway “…interrupt you, but do you know where I can find Shinobu?”, you asked, causing all of them to immediately turn their heads around.

“You’re looking for Kuki Shinobu? Why? Do you need something from her?”, one of them immediately started questioning you, approaching you while making you feel as if you were in some sort of trouble, like you had broken an unspoken rule, but before you could continue, the man in front of you suddenly had a look of realisation on his face. “Oh, you’re her friend! The one she always spends time with after work”, he almost shouted, catching the attention of the rest, making them gather around you as well.

What followed was them bombarding you with one question after another, not leaving you any time to answer any of them, but seemingly not even minding. You had long lost the ability to even register any of their questions, since they would be interrupted in the middle of it, causing you to have to hear a completely new one, that was, until you heard a question that stood out.

“Are the two of you a couple? You must be, you always hang out with each other, and she even mentioned you a couple of times”, all other members fell silent, as all their gazes were focussed on you, awaiting your answer.

“She was talking about m-”, before you had the chance to finish your sentence, another voice rang out, this one clearly being Shinobu’s, but instead of sounding professional like usual, or relaxed like when you spent time together, this time it was filled with rage.

“You have ten seconds, whoever is in my line of sight once they are over won’t live to regret it”, in an instant, the mass of men around you were gone, all of them scattering into different directions, leaving you and Shinobu alone, she finally having calmed down somewhat. “I hate those idiots sometimes”, she stated bitterly before letting out a big sigh, her choice of words somewhat surprising you.

“They seemed… friendly”, you awkwardly stated, trying to make her forget what had just happened, but instead earning yourself a nervous stare from her, only to hear her sigh once more.

“You heard what they said, so I guess there’s no need to deny it. I like you, and I hope you do the same, do you want to go out with me?”, her confession caught you even more off-guard, leaving you frozen in place for a couple seconds before finally mustering enough working braincells together to answer.

“Sure, I feel the same”, you answered, only to find it to be an underwhelming reaction, searching for a way to continue. “Do you want to roast lavender melons together?”, you awkwardly asked while lifting the basked full of them that you held in your hand, earning yourself a small, rare chuckle from Shinobu.

-He always had loved to kiss your hands. Always intertwining yours with his as he raises your hand up to his face to kiss the back of it softly as he watches you contently.

-Gorou is so sweet about it! He wants to kiss you and give you everything you deserve. He loves to kiss your nose. He finds it adorable and when you started returning his nose kisses with one on his nose, he just has a smile on his face.

-Heizou is such a tease. He'll go in for a kiss and just miss your lips. He then proceeds to laugh it off and not give you the kiss you were hoping for. Your expression after it makes him smile.

-He loves it when you give him kisses too. Whether it be on his face or anywhere else, he cherishes them always. He's glad you're comfortable with him and that you love him.

-Itto is big on touching and cuddling and anything like that with you. He's always got to have a hug or a kiss whenever he sees you and he makes sure you know when you forget to give him one.

-He always kisses you anywhere on your face or even all over your face in one sitting. Overall, very loving and would pick kissing you over mostly anything on any given day.

-Kuki gets just a little embarrassed about kissing. Sure, she does deal with Itto a lot in public but you giving her affection? That's something she can't handle in public. Normally, you'll have to kiss her on the forehead since she doesn't want to take off her mask for that.

-Sometimes, she'll take off her mask just to give you a kiss on the cheek or vise versa. If you surprise her with a kiss on her lips, she'll widen her eyes but, she does like it a lot!

You were leaving the butterfly mansion as a fellow demon slayer after a mission because you had gotten injured a little bit. And by a little bit I mean your arm was almost cut off.

“Oh hi!” A voice startled you from behind you as you turned around to see the love hashira Mitsuri standing infront of you. To say you admired her was an understatement, since the first time you saw her you instantly fell in love.

She walked closer to you trying to examine your arm but as she was doing that your heart was racing a million miles per minute. You never realized that she was speaking to you until she grabbed your face forcefully to look at her.

She was so much taller than you and the way she was looking at you right now made your knees want to buckle. Something took over you and before the both of you could process what happened you had already pulled her hands down from your face and placed your lips onto hers.

She oddly tasted like strawberries which you enjoyed but pulled away because the embarrassment of the situation was setting in. You instantly covered your face as well as she did.

“I’m so sorry lady Mitsuri. I don’t know what came over me.” You apologized bowing a bit but she stopped you and gave you a bright smile. “I liked it Y/n..” she said and you started blushing even harder.

Rengoku

You and Rengoku were great friends, bestfriends even. Seeing as both of you were hashira and had outgoing personalities was a major factor in your relationship.

After a mission the both of you went on, you both decided to go out for drinks which took a turn for the worst? “I really could’ve done better…” you spoke hoping no one heard but Rengoku most definitely did.

“You did your best that’s all that matters.” He said patting you on your back, you rolled your eyes and started drinking some more. Rengoku was starting to get worried because he knew you’d regret waking up with a headache in the morning.

He grabbed the cup from you and helped you stand up, because you had met him at the pub before him you had change out of your normal uniform into a short dress. His face started to fume with red all over his face, he ignored it and kept walking you back down the path to your cottage.

After arriving and getting you comfortable on your futon he was getting ready to leave but was stopped by you holding onto his hand. “Can I tell you a-somethinnn” he leaned down closer to you as your were pulling him so that he could hear.

Instead of whispering in his ear you used your free hand to turn his face to kiss you. He instantly pulled back blushing while you drunkenly stared at him. “I’ve had feelings for you for some time now but your just too dumb to notice me.” You said before completely passing out.

You jumped up from your sleep realizing you had a meeting at the head masters mansion. You hurriedly put your uniform on and on the way to the mansion memories of last night flood through your head.

You covered your mouth while still running down the path, how could you do something so stupid. You finally arrived in a sweaty and panting mess seeing the meeting already started. Bending down next to Giyuu you spoke softly, “I apologize for my tardiness.”

The head master replied just as soft as you spoke, “Your fine my child.” I sigh of relief left your mouth as you continued to gaze at the ground. All of the hashira kept giving you weird glances throughout the meeting.

Your hair was loose, your uniform had many things out of place and you were quiet. The moment the meeting ended you were quick to leave before anyone could speak to you, you were already halfway back to your cottage when someone appeared infront of you.

“Why’d you leave so fast?” Rengoku spoke. You couldn’t face him, guilt was eating up at you like a mouse eating cheese. “Kyojuro, I’m sorry for last night.” “Why? I liked it. I’ve been meaning to talk to you all day.” You finally looked back up at him just to see him giving you his signature big and bright smile.

Tengen

It had been a month since you became Tengens fourth wife and to say you were shy and nervous was an understatement. Tengen was a Hashira and a Shinobu and so we’re his other three wives, you were just someone from the streets.

On this particular day all four of your companions had left to go on missions leaving you alone in your home. You were currently cleaning and you heard the door open. Turning to face the door you were met with Maki standing there taking her shoes off.

“Hi Y/n.” She spoke softly looking really tired, she walked over to you and collapsed in your arms. Her head was laying on your chest thankfully so you could hide the blush appearing on your face.

“Maki-sama…” she looked up at you and straightened herself before pinching your cheeks like a baby and peppering kisses on your face. The last kiss she gave you was on the lips leaving you looking like a red tomato.

“NOT FAIR MAKI! I WANTED TO KISS HER FIRST!” Sums yelled from behind the both of you, Hina giggled from beside a jealous Suma while walking up to you and also placing a chaste kiss on your lips. Your blush was becoming more prominent as Hina placed another kiss on your cheek than giving Maki a kiss on the cheek before walking away.

Suma then walked up to you and grabbed your face placing a big kiss right behind Hina’s kiss causing your knees to buckle. All three of them gathered around you as you covered your face in embarrassment. “The three of you stop it before our Y/n has a heart attack.”

“Lord Tengen.” All four of you said in unison standing up and forming a line. He started to pat Hinas head then Makis head, then Suma and when he got to you he paused.

“How was your day today Y/n?” He spoke which took you by surprise, your wives stood there will smiles on their faces looking at he both of you. “My day was fine, how was your mission?” You spoke softly.

“It was perfectly flashy knowing I got to come home to my wife safe and sound.” He said placing his finger on your chin and pulling you close so that his lips softly pressed against yours. Both of you pulled back from each other and you felt like steam was coming out your ears.

“Did you all come up with this?” You spoke to yourself and all four of them just started laughing.

Shinobu

To say you were quiet was an understatement, you never liked to team up with others because quite frankly working by yourself was what you enjoyed the most.

Currently you were arriving at the head masters mansion because you were requested for a special mission. “Good evening my child.” He spoke rubbing the top of your head.

“There’s a special mission I wanted Hashira Shinobu to go on but she requested for you to be with her.” He again spoke and when you glanced at her and she had her eyes closed smiling at you.

How could you possibly reject this offer? Lady Shinobu was such a beautiful person and knowing that you were going on a mission with her was making your face heat up. Especially since the both of you were the same age she for some reason felt some type of connection with you.

After traveling for a while you both decided to rest at an inn. Ironically there was one room available with barely one futon. “I again apologize for the inconvenience.” The inn keeper said apologizing.

“It’s fine. We can adjust.” You apple easing his shoulders, he still looked worried but you led Shinobu to the room.

The both of you settled down and by the time you actually wanted to get some sleep you looked over at her and she was asleep. You slowly sat up and took your jacket off revealing the short spaghetti strap shirt you were wearing.

Shinobu features were always so beautiful, her soft spoken nature and the way she takes care and nurtures for anyone no matter their stature. You unconsciously held yourself up by your elbow and just watched her sleep.

She smiled softly keeping her hand resting on the side of your face. “You are so beautiful.” She again spoke softly pulling your head closer to hers. You smiled and closed the gap between the both of you, your hand held onto the side of her face deepening the kiss enjoying her soft breathing.

She pulled back breathing heavily and smiling brightly, “I knew I chose you for a reason.” You cocked your head to the side in confusion, “Wha-” she cut you off pulling you down to kiss her again.

“Giyuu.” You spoke as you heard the door slide shut. He wouldn’t speak to you because he was upset about something but you didn’t know why. You guys have barely been dating for a month and you had asked for him to come see you after he finished a mission.

Every since coming over he has been distant and hasn’t spoken to you. Yes he’s naturally quiet but he always liked to have a conversation with you.

After finishing up his favorite meal that you had been making for the last two days you washed your hands and made you way over to your bedroom. Knocking on the slide you opened it and saw him folding his uniform before laying down to sleep.

“Giyuu, I made your favorite.” He didn’t answer you, “Are you gonna come and eat?” “No.” He coldly spoke. Your breath hitched in your throat as you sat there.

You continued to sit there with the slide open seeing if he’d budge to move but he didn’t. “Is everything okay? You haven’t spoken to me ever since you got here.” You said again hopefully he would give you some type of attention.

“Do you even like me?” His question caught you off guard as he sat up with tears in his eyes. Your natural instincts kicked in and you crawled over to sit infront of him. “Giyuu are you okay?” You again spoke and he looked away from you feeling embarrassed.

“Why wouldn’t I like you?” He finally looked back at you feeling like he wanted to cry again. You had no idea of how to make him feel better but to just baby him. You noticed from the beginning of your relationship that Giyuu loved to let loose with you and for once let someone else take care of him.

You grabbed his hand and pulled him closer to you pulling him into a tight hug. He wrapped his arms around you laying his in the crook of your neck. “Giyuu look at me.” He looked up at you and watched as you leaned in.

Your lips pressed against his and just by looking at him his face turned beet red. You pulled away from him to look at him but he immediately pushed back onto you.

You forced him to let go and started laughing, “Is that what you were mad about honey?” He slowly nodded before hiding his head on your chest and slowly falling asleep.
