Victoria K. Profile. Circa 2009
Explanation under the cut
Finally having a more concrete design for another story character, treated this drawing more as if it was a headshot you'd see in yearbooks or work staff IDs.
Victoria doesn't show up while alive in the story, but I still think she's important to add extra onto
CW blood
Listening to vocaloids got me inspired again so Micah got semi plot art. Lyrics are from 100 Epitaphs, highly recommend the song!
Decided to add the art without text and just his face too
yet again alone on a Saturday night, thinking about the Duskborn questline so here's a butt load of Devin dialogue doodles: (+ an Alfred bc their post-murder scenes seem really similar to me)
bonus:
ik the implication is that Devin either killed himself or was killed by deathblight right after, but since we never see his body, I like to imagine he just took off his armour and ran away to who knows where
Wanderer
1-7
Another doodle of one of the strain mutants so we got my girl 1-7, first one of the batch who really had to be drawn eventually, during her experimentation she was combined with an alligator. She's around 11ft in length and 3ft in height
Bonus time lapse
The next pafl episode is kicking my ass
Dendrogaster (a crustacean that parasitizes starfish)
Buckle up because I'm about to ramble a tad
Watching Look Back was probably the best thing a streaming platform could've recommended to me, the way Fujimoto wrote the characters was so immensely human and the most I've related to characters in years in terms of art. Drawing out of felt necessity instead of genuine love is something I felt so intensely related to, not drawing for some time and then picking it back up again as well.
I've had times I haven't drawn for months then only to draw out of a felt need instead of my love for my work, I've had times I've drawn multiple pieces in a day because I wanted to and loved every moment of it. Both girls have been me at some point in my life, childhood and current adulthood.
The story was absolutely brilliant, in all ways I can think of, watching two young artists grow up and their paths that they took, the way they developed. I could not have asked for more, I don't think I've cried that much over characters I knew such a short time either, but they moved me. Those two girls got me so involved, made me feel so seen and then broke my heart in the best way possible.
I love this film and it's story with all my heart
