kento’s brow furrows even deeper, voice slightly indignant as he asks all too seriously, “do i look like a bitch to you?”

you can’t help the laugh that escapes your lips. kento is the smartest man you’ve ever met, but he is woefully ignorant when it comes to slang. before you started dating, you had to explain to him what “lmao” meant; that was the first time he had ever heard of urban dictionary.

your boyfriend’s stare is intense as you attempt to describe his facial expression. “no—that’s not what the term means. basically, it means that your resting face looks a little…pissed, for lack of a better word.”

kento is quiet for a beat before clarifying, “so, i look stern most of the time?”

“yes, that’s it!” you agree with a snap. “stern.”

“i suppose that’s why people often say i look intimidating,” kento muses. he threads his fingers through yours.

“i think that’s a fair assumption.”

“well,” kento says, raising your hand up to his lips. “i will try to be more mindful of my demeanor.” he places a gentle kiss to your knuckles.

“and why is that?”

the smile that graces your lips makes him fall in love with you all over again. “i love you the way you are—grumpy face and all.”

Fox Hybrid!Childe, who arrives at the sanctuary where you volunteer in the dead of winter. He's brought in by a group of hunters who found him in a decade-old bear trap on the verge of freezing to death. He's aggressive at first, still rattled from such a close call, but comes around quickly after a warm bath, a visit with your on-call vet, and of course, something to fill his stomach.

Fox Hybrid!Childe, who can't be released back into the wild while he's still in recovery or left alone overnight, not when he's so eager to ""rough house"" with the other animals. He gets along well enough with all the volunteers, but he's constantly trying to get your attention, either sulking as you tend to another hybrid or drinking in your generously-given affection. You're clearly his favorite, so you're the one to take him home. He's ecstatic about the change in scenery, to say the least.

Fox Hybrid!Childe, who takes to being a housepet like a fish takes to water. You try to make up for the lack of stimulation with a never-ending supply of thrifted toys and as many walks as his injured leg will allow, but he prefers to spend most of his time curled up at your feet or trailing after you, ginger ears perked-up and blur eyes wide and bright. By the end of the first week, he's cooking and cleaning on his own, and when you insist that he's your guest, that you don't want him to get too domesticated, he just laughs and tells you that he likes it, that he's used to hunting for his siblings. Since you won't let him bring the birds and rabbits he catches past the front door, this is how he's decided to provide for you.

It makes sense, even if you can't say you've ever seen another hybrid react so violently to being separated from their handler. Foxes are social animals, and he hasn't been on his own since he was brought to your sanctuary, since the day he stumbled into a trap he couldn't understand or struggle his way out of. Still, when you come home to find all his toys gutted and all of your furniture overturned, you can't say you're thrilled. Childe spends the rest of the day buried in your sheets, pouting until you finally give in and forgive him. Childe goes wherever you go, after that.

Fox Hybrid!Childe, who suddenly seems a lot less friendly than he did, when you first took him in. You try to write it off as him being overly protective of his temporary skulk, but it's a little hard to tell that to your male friends when he bares his teeth and snaps at their hands. In public, he refuses to leave your side, his tail constantly thrashing and his ears pressed flush to his scalp. He'll still smile, laugh, promise he doesn't get jealous that easily, but it's difficult to take his word for it when he holds your hand so tightly.

Fox Hybrid!Childe, who's been scenting you in your sleep for weeks, nuzzling into the crook of your neck and gripping at any flesh he can reach and humping your thighs until he inevitably climaxes and has to clean his cum off of your skin with his tongue. + Will probably cockily tell you you'll just have to get used to it, he's a god afterall so it's expected that he'll have many loyal fans all vying for his attention—

+ It's all a farce

+ In reality, he's kind of in shock that you'd really be jealous over him, the useless puppet discarded by his own mother—but that's his unresolved insecurity and mommy issues talking

+ He'll keep up the façade and tease you for a while until he realizes you're genuinely upset—then he'll find some roundabout way to tell you that you have nothing to worry about, he only has eyes for you...of course he'll never directly admit that, though

The Wanderer cuts himself off as he takes in your tense form, brows furrowed and eyes looking anywhere but him as you quietly seethe. His chest clenches in that weird way it only seems to do when you're involved.

+ Idk how you even got jealous in the first place cause this man is glued to your hip

+ Slightly flattered when he recognizes your signs of jealousy cause he just sees it as proof of how much you care about him

+ It may feel a bit demeaning at first but he will not take your jealousy seriously. He baby talks, pinches your cheeks, and teases you but will not show any genuine concern—not because he doesn't care about your feelings, but because he's so sure that he only has eyes for you that he thinks your jealously is completely unreasonable in the first place

+ When he's tipsy on dandelion wine, it's not unusual to see him belting out ballads and serenading anyone nearby willing to give him the time of day—though, in reality, his love songs are all actually written about you

+ Collei sees him as something akin to an older brother figure and Tighnari is too sassy for anyone else to get close unless they're interested in joining the forest watchers

+ If you tell him you're jealous, he's probably going to call you an idiot for even thinking he's interested in anyone else

Tighnari looks almost annoyed at your confession, glancing up from his journal only to shoot you a glare.

"Hah? Did you accidentally eat some hallucinogenic mushrooms again? I don't have enough time entertain things like that. What a ridiculous accusation."

Annoyance bubbles up inside you but, before you can act on it, Tighnari is already standing from his desk, striding over to you quickly to gently pull you along with him.

currently, alhaitham was distracting himself by reading some novel on the couch. despite his normally calm and collected demeanour, his mind was a complete blur. his head ached with warming images of you and your touch.

he had this uncontrollable urge to see you; he needed your warmth. his chest was tightening as he stared blankly at the pages of the book with furrowed eyebrows. “woah, what did the book ever do to you?” you tease him with an adoring laugh. his gaze quickly focuses on you without a second thought.

“nothing. could you come here, please?” he was such an expert on masking his true feelings and intentions it was borderline bizarre. you looked slightly concerned before walking over and taking your place next to him. he immediately wraps his arm around your waist your breath hitching as he pulls you close. he kisses the crown of your head, “you don’t mind giving me some special attention, do you? you’ve been gone for quite a while.”

alhaitham didn't think he sounded desperate but it would've been impossible to miss the waver in his voice or his obvious worry. vou knew his emotions were well hidden from most people because he never wore his heart on his sleeve, his intelligent arrogance was almost like a shield against all feelings.

“what would I do without you, my love?” he cooed into your hair. you hummed in agreement, beginning to pull him down onto your lap for a more comfortable hugging position. venti of course happily obliged, snuggling his face into your neck in bliss.

you comb gently through this fluffy locks, all your prior work forgotten as you engage in your lover’s mindless gentle kisses. even with your earlier dismissals, you ultimately decided to oblige with his selfishly adorable needs; honestly who could resist that love struck smile and those shining eyes?

“i love you..” he mumbled into your skin.

— yeah he likes to BELIEVE he’s subtle, but it is rather easy to figure out his internal solace and longing

xiao has been progressively tenacious; continually following you around throughout the day and remaining rather quiet while doing so. it wasn’t particularly odd per se, it was rather normal for him to just stick around besides you but it’s like his presence around you has increased or perhaps exaggerated.

“uhm, xiao?” you pause in your step, turning back to face him with a clueless look. he hums in acknowledgement to let you continue. “is there something wrong? you’ve been following me around silently for the entire day.”

silence. although not unusual, this time it was rather..awkward. xiao stared at you, a blush creeping onto his face as his eyes widened at your sudden question. was he not being discreet enough ? did you catch on ?

you were about to speak again when xiao suddenly gripped your arm, lightly of course, his mouth was open but no words managed to come out. his blush deepened significantly. “xiao?” you take his hands into yours in worry. after another moment of silence, before xiao alas spoke, “i just wanted to.. see you..” despite his awfully adorable phrasing, you understood his general implication.

“oh.” your lips parted slightly from surprise, your gaze softening. you couldn’t help but start laughing, leading to poor xiao tilting his head in ashamed confusion. “forget i said anything.” he grumbled, turning around with haste to cover the embarrassment on his face.

you hug his back with a final chuckle, “sorry sorry, i’m not laughing at you, you’re just very cute.” he sighs defeated, dropping his head low knowing he can now not run away from your affectionate grip. “if you wanted my love all you had to do was ask, xiao.” i was trying to.

you smile to yourself and let out a small and harmless laugh, shenhe looks at you in confusion, ‘did she say something funny?’ “oh my darling,” you cup her face in your hands with a kiss on the tip of her nose, “i’m pretty sure you were just feeling lonely.” her eyes light up almost as if it all suddenly clicked inside her disorganised head; the answer becoming vividly evident.

It was taken by a photographer working at the aquarium as part of a promotion—the photographer showed you two the photo and asked for permission to post it on their official website and Kaveh was absolutely obsessed with the photo—it’s still one of his favorite and it doesn’t even show your faces

Needless to say, 90% of his posts are of plants or small animals he finds on his hikes or while working

His most popular posts are those of cute squirrels and birds that are being nursed back to health after being found wounded—animals just seem to naturally love him so the pictures are usually taken by his coworkers because his arms are full with cuddly animals that refuse to move

The other 10% of his posts are from the occasional hang outs with friends or coworkers after work—snaps of iced fruit teas from Puspa café or colorful clay plates overflowing with Collei’s homemade pita pockets. 

He makes sure to reply to or at least like every comment, particularly those from people asking questions about the plants he posts or how to become a forest ranger. Even simple “wow that's so cool” comments often get at least a “thanks, glad you liked it” from Tighnari

He tends to use some cute forest or food emoji when they fit with his posts. For example, 🍄,🥙,🦊,🐦, etc.

Also tends to use “:)” when replying to his followers because he knows it can be difficult to read tone in text-based communications
