I am perpetually stuck between the desire to connect deeply with those I love and the desire to live in utter solitude. I fear equally, being disconnected from myself as much as I fear being disconnected from others.
The more time I spend alone, I feel the tug from two directions: the need to step outside my isolation and encounter the world outside of myselfβ¦and the desire to protect the world within from the unsolicited disturbances from the world without.

β’Make your laundry detergent and dish soap, or buy eco friendly ones
β’Buy in bulk with your own containers
β’Use glass and metal containers to store things in, as opposed to plastic

β’Buy local and trade with neighbours to keep business small and purposeful
β’Reuse, repair, and repurpose old stuff
β’Spend more time outside and less time wasting electricity
β’Permaculture gardens!!!
β’Go thrifting and antiquing before buying new
β’Buy cute lil totes (especially from local artists) and stop using plastic bags
β’Be mindful of what youβre consuming. Food and fashion wise, and otherwise. Take note of what you truly want or need.
β’Hang your clothes on a line to dry
β’Learn to hem and mend your own clothing
β’Educate yourself on water conservation (especially in gardens)
