I am perpetually stuck between the desire to connect deeply with those I love and the desire to live in utter solitude. I fear equally, being disconnected from myself as much as I fear being disconnected from others.
The more time I spend alone, I feel the tug from two directions: the need to step outside my isolation and encounter the world outside of myself…and the desire to protect the world within from the unsolicited disturbances from the world without.

Little things to keep in mind 💕

pros to abandoning society to live in the woods:
•don’t have to deal with people
•can live your best henry david thoreau life
•can be absolutely feral with no one to witness it
•very aesthetic
•you’re in the woods
cons:
•mosquitoes
there’s not a person in this world who hasn’t embarrassed themselves or hurt someone or made a mistake. learn and grow from these things, rectify them if you can, but don’t dwell on them. we are all human; we are all imperfect.
I am not kidding when I say I want to run away into the woods to live amongst the moss and all the woodland and fairytale creatures.
