yknow sirius got hit with ice magic (the same thing that killed polaris) getting summoner to the portal. theres a non-zero chance he died the same way polaris did to save them.

waaaaaa it'd be so cool for this concept to be explored, bro it's the sort of unspoken bitterness that all the guide sorcerers hold towards their world-baring responsibilities, Alpheratz especially being a prime example of the gifted kid now completely burnt out. After the first great disaster bc many of the great sorcerers died, what the constellations ended up doing was having KIDS inherit the title, therefore the academy preparing for THEM to be the ones at the front lines when cosmic disaster strikes again, but like o(-( I haven't even thought about the fact that all of them have actual NAMES, they're simply not important enough to be mentioned ig :(
