Caught in a landslide, no escape from reality the orchestra
On today's menu, the original Fantasia all the way back from 1940. Frankly its good! Disney put their whole disnussy into making each segment disctinct and visually interesting.
But how do they fare against each other?
Don't get me wrong, the segments are each their own thing, but with a runtime of 2h there is only so much attention you can hold. The orchestra is phenomenal and will also lull you into sleep (or trance state which honestly might have been the intention as well?) So what shoul you be awake for?
There are bound to be some hits and misses (Sorcerers Apprentice being quite good even today) so lets go through them all.
I would have also included a gif of my best boy Sountrack, but you can guess how hard is to google for him. He is in my heart at least
We are finally back to playing Dungeons and Dragons!!! WOO!!
This week Karol finally finished editing ep 2 of our Adventure- So its finally out for you all to enjoy.
But what is this you ask? Well with me as a DM, its about Amor (Fredrik) our elven rouge who sets forth to Rothe River in for news of gems with untold powers. What seemed as an easy job exterminating local beasts though quickly spirals out, and only thanks to her dragon companion Voltar she lives to tell the tale.
Its fun, its silly and you get to hear me do a bunch of voices. And Fredrik does a great job as an off beat snobby elf!
ALSO!
Our thanks to:
kasoon.com - for the adventure! At this point its derailed (because of what happened in the last episode ) but its great for anyone to try with a pal. I was afraid of balancing encounters for one PC only, hence why the decision to follow this outline.
Thanks to @gaylactic-fire for allowing us to use their picrew Baby Dragon Maker for Voltar. I sadly lack artistic talent to draw a dragon, but now he is so cute. Thank you!
And at last: a youtube version with visuals, maps and puzzles. This time by me.
Wake the f**k up, Spartan! We have a city to save.
How did the folks imagine our action packed future back in 1993? Look no futher than Demolition Man, all the way back from 1997!
Its funny how the distant 2032 is only 8 years away. Sheesh :(
Anyway i felt the need for some adrenaline kicks, so a Sylvester Stallone flick was in order. Is fun to count in how many ways some of the things came in fact true: like AI, self driving cars, or sanitization of online and irl spaces. Also while we dont have full dive in neura links yet, our VR guys are working overtime on it, Yippie!
It's not entirely dystopian for us yet, so what is this movie trying to tell us? What steps can we take to stop this grim future from becoming true? Liberty babes, as in how much we are willing to part with it for convinience. oof.
Last but not least: everyone in this movie is so dang pretty, i loved Huxley and John Spartan can giiit ittt
Why yes it is a smash and pass episode, but with a twist!
Given the relationship building nature of the game, Fredrik decided to throw in a challenge where we try to pair off characters and give our reasons behind them. Its especially fun given how we clash on some of each others pairs.
From Cozy Games Direct and Future of Play, to X-box Showcase and PC Gaming Show, everyone from big and small has indeed been informed about summer, and that there are games to be had durning it STAT.
And whew there were alot of announcements, just look at the website.
In our usual fashion it would too long to list every single game that was mentioned, so instead what of the games that looked really hecking cool?
Fredriks choice: SCHiM (by Ewoud van der Werf and Nils Slijkerman)
You play as a silly creature, hopping and puzzling thorugh shadows in a city. Human shadows, car shadows lamps shadows, anything is permitted. And it looks great to boot! Its coming out this year july for all Major consoles + Steam.
Karols choice Battle Suit Aces (by Trinket Studios)
Cooked up by the same developers as Battle Chef Academy (great game give it a go), this sci-fi card battler has style, worldbuilding and even features relationships with your crew! Not the genre im usually into but i believe in these devs. Release is TBD as of yet.
And our shared pick would be Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (by Sandfall Interactive)
Ever since the Paintress arrived, each year she paints a new number: 35..34...33. As she counts down people of that age vanish never to be seen again. Its up to our epxedition (the 33) to give a shot at stopping the paintress in their final year of life. RPG with QTE's in a wonderfully parisian inspired world. Also what a cool premise! To be released sometime in 2025.
We actually picked more games, but for that you would have been a long list.
You have to check rest of the episode for that ;) ta-ta for now!
by the way, it’s real bold of hollywood to be like “the writers and actors have unrealistic expectations, but WE know what we’re doing” when they got tricked into releasing morbius in theaters a second time.
Has this been done yet
