There's a new swarm of totally real ladies with empty blogs following me, and I'm blocking and reporting them left and right. If you are an actual human person with a brand new account trying to follow me, I urge you to please post *anything at all* on your blog so that when I go to check who the heck you are, I can tell you aren't just a bot-encrusted void. Just a simple "hello this is my lurker account I use to follow people" is enough.

Other things about color advice are placement and how much of what color.

First, placement

Let's take the two stickmen from above (the red and blue).

Color placement is important because it lets the viewer know what to look at.

For example, the stickman to the left is completely red. Nothing is there for our eyes to focus on. We can't get anything from this character. Except that maybe it's really angry or full of love (as red can also mean love). Meanwhile, the stickman to our right gives us something to focus on, this being it's hands, markings, and circle on its chest. This could give us the meaning that maybe they are powerful or can manipulate heat.

But, if I were to switch it up...

the color placement here is vastly different.

Now the only thing to focus on here would be the stickman's hands. It may give off the impression of heat manipulation a little stronger than the first.

But what about the blue?

The color placement on the hands makes us immediately focus on them, possibly giving off the vibe that this character is a little dangerous, compared to the blue, which some might feel more compelled to trust.

But if I switch the colors like this...

Woah. That is a stark difference.

One could get an intimidating, 'i am dangerous, don't mess with me' vibe from the new color change.

Now, the next point:

Color quantity (how much of what color)

Now... Let us focus on this new buddy.

The amount of whatever color you choose matters.

Notice the tiny amount of blue compared to the amount of black?

The amount of black is so overwhelming to the blue that it can give off the impression that this stick is dangerous and takes no shit.

But... What if I switched the amount?

Now, this character doesn't look so scary :3

The amount of one color can totally change how viewers will feel, think, or connect to your art!

But again, don't be afraid to experiment! Many people have made amazing things out of the weirdest color combos and it looks awesome. So don't be afraid to experiment. :3

Color theory.

You want colors that look good with each other? Try complimentary colors, analogous colors, tri- something and all the other cool ones!

Of course, there's MANY different interpretations about how people see color, so the most important advice of all, DONT BE AFRAID TO EXPERIMENT!!! :D

finally decided to work on the designs for all the side characters in the fpk au, mostly residents of dirtmouth as that's where the main portion of the au takes place

here's the full height chart including the fpk family members

Wyrm - once the king of Hallownest, now a simple resident of Dirtmouth tormented by the guilt of his past action, and with a lot of mental baggage to process. Grimm's partner and the father of Hornet, Holly and Lewk. Following the return of the infection, he disappeared in a self-manifested dream realm where he hibernated for years. Lost his knowledge of soul spells after Little Ghost woke him up from his slumber. Embraces his feral instincts by hunting animals and consuming raw meat, but means no harm towards others. Owns a small workshop from which he creates new inventions and plans for Dirtmouth's renovation. Close friends with Ogrim, Cornifer and Iselda, disliked by Lemm

Grimm - the Radiance's brother, the exiled god of nightmares, who travels with his troupe in seek of pleasures and to harvest the nightmare essence of dead kingdoms, in an endless ritual cycle meant to sustain his physical form. Permanently settled in Dirtmouth from where he travels. Wyrm's partner, the father of Lewk and the adoptive father of Hornet and Holly. Brumm and Divine are his most trusted friends. Despises Lemm and frequently threatens him, though respects Wyrm's wish not to kill him

Lewk - Wyrm and Grimm's son, hatched from an egg laid by the latter. The youngest member of the family with an increasing interest in adventure and the art of cooking. Brother to Hornet and Holly, the former of which he's particularly close with, and an assistant in Ogrim's kitchen

Hornet - the daughter of Wyrm and the Deepnest queen Herrah, and the adoptive daughter of Grimm. Sister to Lewk and Holly. Following her father's disappearance, she spent years all on her own, which turned her bitter and angry at everything around her. She now struggles with anger issues and intense fear of getting attached. Moved to Dirtmouth following the end of the infection, though she still patrols Hallownest. Friends with Bretta and Zote. Constantly butts heads with Tiso

Holly - the king's pure vessel born with the mission to contain the Radiance. After the plan's failure and the return of the infection, they were freed from the Radiance's grasp following her defeat at the hands of the void entity. The child of Wyrm and the White Lady, sibling to Lewk and Hornet, and the adoptive child of Grimm. Too weak to hold their nail, they now live in Dirtmouth with the rest of the family, where they engage in newly found hobbies of gardening and sewing. Best friends with Zote and Bretta

Zote - a self-proclaimed warrior, frequently gets himself into trouble, lies about his achievements and acts like he's superior to everyone else. Commonly deemed irritating by others, though he found a friend in Holly who seems unbothered by his false stories. Rejected by his parents and his home town, he traveled to Hallownest in search of glory, and eventually found himself assimilated into Wyrm's family. On friendly terms with the rest of the family, though finds both Wyrm and Grimm to be a bit unnerving. Friends with Bretta despite lying to her about his accomplishment. Often bullied by Tiso

Ogrim - one of the great knights of the Pale King, the last one that remained in Hallownest, best friends with Wyrm and a close friend of the family. Found by Hornet following Wyrm's return from hibernation, and invited to live in Dirtmouth alongside them. Leaving his duty as the knight behind, he put away his armor in favor of more comfortable clothing. He eventually embraced his long forgotten hobby of cooking and opened a small restaurant in the town. Liked by everyone thanks to his contagious optimism and supportive attitude

Brumm - Grimm's right-hand man and trusted friend. Runs the troupe in Grimm's absence and assists him during the rituals. Has one-sided feelings for Grimm, but holds no ill will towards Wyrm, and later becomes his friend following a Grimmkin's attempt at the latter's life. Friends with Divine and on very good terms with Ogrim

Divine - Grimm's closest friend and drinking partner, responsible for directing the troupe's performances. Friends with Brumm, occasional babysitter to Lewk. Has a particular interest in shiny objects, loves jewelry and fancy clothes. Rarely seen outside her tent, usually seen planning the next troupe performance, she dislikes being disturbed

The White Lady - the queen of Hallownest, Wyrm's wife before their separation. Cold and emotionally distant, often comes off as self-absorbed, but ultimately means well. Tormented by the guilt of her part in the vessel plan, she imprisoned herself in the Queen's Gardens. Wyrm's return from the hibernation inspired her to free herself from her bindings, and she now resides alone in the gardens. She is occasionally visited by Wyrm and Holly, and remains on good terms with their family. In a constant quarrel with Grimm whom she finds irritating, but holds no grudge towards over his relationship with Wyrm

Bretta - a young writer and a hopeless romantic, friends with Holly, Zote and Hornet, whom she has a crush on. Once infatuated by Zote, she eventually saw through his lies, but ultimately forgave him. Shares an interest in plushie sewing with Holly. Sees Grimm as an inspiration for her writing, and finds Wyrm to be a bit unpleasant due to his love for raw meat

Iselda - Cornifer's wife and the owner of the cartography shop. In the past she used to be a fighter, now she enjoys a quiet life with her husband and eventually starts joining him on his adventures. A close friend of Wyrm after helping him with his wounds following the Grimmkin incident. Very fond of Holly, who enjoys helping her around the shop. On good terms with Quirrel, dislikes Lemm

Cornifer - Iselda's husband, co-owns the cartography shop. Frequently travels around Hallownest, mapping each location thoroughly. Close friends with Wyrm, whom he enjoys discussing the Hallownest architecture with, and who helps him find secret locations and passages throughout the kingdom. Shares his wife's dislike for Lemm

Elderbug - the town's elder, good friends with Quirrel. Keeps the flower given to him by Little Ghost by his side at all times. Pessimistic and often quite grumpy, isn't fond of public displays of affection, which Grimm and Wyrm are notoriously guilty of. Following the renovation of Dirtmouth and its return to its former glory, he becomes a mayor figure to the town. Well respected by the town residents

Tiso - an arrogant troublemaker and Hornet's self-proclaimed rival. Lives in the City of Tears but frequently visits Dirtmouth to challenge hornet. Planned to fight in the Colosseum but changed his mind last minute out of cowardice, is extremely sensitive about this subject and reacts with anger anytime it's brought up. Disliked by Zote and Hornet, and by Elderbug for causing trouble in the town

Quirrel - a nomadic figure with no permanent home, a curious wanderer and once an apprentice to Monomon the Teacher, tasked with protecting her dreamer mask. Holding the mask halted his aging process, and after her death, he aged visibly. With no purpose left, he planted his nail by the Blue Lake, but continued his life of wandering and exploration. Frequently stops by Dirtmouth, is on friendly terms with Elderbug, Iselda and Lemm

Lemm - owner of the relic shop in the City of Tears. Following the end of the infection and the city's consequent revival, he became a respected shop owner, which made him quite wealthy. His bigger competitor is Sly, who left Dirtmouth behind and moved to the city in hopes of becoming rich. After Wyrm's return, he quickly realized his true identity, and began pestering him about his past in hopes of learning more about the kingdom. Very abrasive, refuses to accept that Wyrm wants to leave his old life behind and disrespects his wishes to be call him by his chosen name. Friends with Quirrel, disliked by Wyrm, Iselda and Cornifer, hated by Grimm

what if the gods of this world made themselves dissipate into the world around them? Which could be one of the reasons why the earth has magic.

What if Aethel is not the first god generated, but a sort of descendant of the first god, Album Magicae, the god of White Magic?

Hence why he was one of the first leaders for the Boss/god/minigod nation by default.

Gods would refer to the original pantheon of elements (fire, ice, water, earth, white magic, dark magic, metal, shadows, air, storm, etc. etc.) Although they could only possess one element (with the acception of White and Dark magic being able to manipulate all, as they both were the superior), the weilded their element quite powerfully, and could control the natural Earth's elements, as well as replicate or create it.

Minigods would refer to the generation of gods generated after that pantheon, which were typically gods who possessed creation and manipulation over more elements rather than one, but could not control the natural/original elements (the original Pantheon) already within the earth without using a majority of their magic, which will tire them out easily. Basically, they can really only control their own creations, not the natural world's/original Pantheon's. *Minibosses can be *generated with the ability to manipulate multiple elements, enhancements (such as flexibility and agility enhancements), and usually represent not only their main element, but strengths (such as Vince being a sort of god of lighting and war).

should there be a third species of gods? ones that are "direct" descendants of the original Pantheon? So pretty much a god who can posses and control only one element, but does not represent any value except that element? They could be some such as messengers? Messaging for the original Pantheon to the current ruling order?

it could explain the omen theory of Alpha I had/have, where Alpha being generated is an omen.

But back to the first ideas, I like the idea of minigod having to sacrifice blood in order to have temporary control of the natural elements from the original Pantheon.

Basically, what I mean by the original pantheon dissipating into the world is that they gave themselves to an empty earth after Life and Death had created them, giving the earth a magical life. White magic and Dark magic maybe created good and bad morals, consciousness, and using magic from the now generated mana springs pulsating through the life driven earth, created a life, named Aethel. And from there, the whole miniboss saga began. then civilians generated. they thought they were the only residents and didn't know about Aethel and vice versa. more bosses generated. civilians and bosses meet. civilians (being human equivalents) went greedy and wanted the wonderous powers the minibosses had. So they had a revolution/war.

OHHH WHAT IF FOR THE CIVILIAN VS BOSSES WAR THE ORIGINAL PANTHEON SUMMONED THEMSELVES, FOUGHT OFF THE CIVILLIANS, AND TOLD AETHEL TO GREATE SOME SIRT OF GOVERNMENT OR MONARCHY FOR THE BOSSES TO BAND TOGETHER TO PREVENT ANY MORE MISHAPS LIKE THESE AND KEEP PEACE

THEN ALL THOSE YEARS LATER, HE MADE THE COUNCIL, WHICH COULLD SWITCH BOSSES EVERY FEW YEARS OR WHEN THEY DIE, THEN KEPT THE PROMISE TO KEEP PEACE.

*generated: Bosses are not born, they created by White Magic via natural mana (magic) pulsating through the earth. They spawn.

*miniboss: You may have noticed god and boss used interchangeably. they mean the exact same thing in this world. Boss is another term for a god.
