It’s nice to see that some ppl joined my study group on the ypt app! I will be doing some study sessions on there later on, so make sure to join and be productive with me💖
(short update on my mental health: I’m feeling a bit better now, but still not very good or in the right mood to study… But I will try my best to keep up with all the work I got ahead of me🙃)
Hey guys! ✨
Just wanted to pop in and say that I’m currently taking a mental health break from social media! Yes, I’m still available and will be answering questions and comments every few days.
The past week was really tough for me; I had to postpone my exam because of that and currently try to get back to the roots, trying to rediscover my passion for studying...
Not everything is as perfect as it seems to be in the pictures and videos I post.
Sometimes life is just rough to you and you have to give yourself some time to recover💖
Stay safe and see you all soon!
Another day, another study session!✨ D-6 until the last exam of the year!!

Pre-exam mood swings are kicking in again🤦🏼♀️📈📉📈
I went through everything and on the one side I'm pretty sure I can do it and ace this exam, on the other side I'm not sure how I'm going to remember all this information tomorrow...
Aaah, it's a vicious circle!😩

10 minutes of studying > not studying at all
being a college student is more than academics. it’s also learning how to enjoy your own company, learning and occasionally screwing up meals, wandering outside campus like a tourist, questioning your ideals and presuppositions, discovering new talents and skills for the hell of it, and SO much more. if you feel burnt out in one dimension of college life, that’s a sign to spend some time relishing in another dimension.
if you need more time, take a deep breath and shoot that email to your professor/TA asking for an extension. at worst, they say no. and don’t stress over properly explaining yourself/your situation. hell, just email them: “Hi, Professor. I need your help. Sincerely, y/n.” all it takes is that one initial reach out and the rest will follow.
failure does not reflect character. read that again. remind yourself as often as you see fit because at one point or another, you will feel like you’ve failed. it’s growing pains. once you’ve accepted that, learn to view any setbacks as a hint that you need to try a new method/approach. didn’t do well on that math quiz? don’t beat yourself up over it–instead, regroup with yourself and see which metaphorical gear got stuck in your personal learning process machine. for instance, maybe you used flash cards and that wasn’t really your style. act like a detective, not a bully.
THERE IS NO NORMAL TIMELINE FOR YOUR COLLEGE CAREER(!!!!!!). a lot of people need more than 4 years, a lot of people need 4 years, and a lot of people need less than 4 years. and every single one of those timelines are valid. the worst thing you could do is squeeze the living hell out of yourself into some rigid schedule that is incompatible with who you are and how you learn. trust me when i say u will find yourself doing the best work when u do it at YOUR pace.
Hey guys!
There are 3 days left until my social psychology exam and I'm studying literally non-stop😅
I kinda got worried that I couldn't ace the exam with my current knowledge, so instead of taking everything easy, I started binge-studying the subject🙈 Yes, not a very honorable method, but at least I feel a bit better✨
Question of the day: what kind of music are you listening to while studying?🤔
Currently I'm always listening to star wars lofi hiphop to get calm and into the mood to study!✨
I hope you all are having a nice week, see you soon🥰
o paradise lost, we’re really in it now
i’m so tired of school, i’m homeschooled so it’s pretty self paced and chill for me. but all time energy lately has been into schoolwork and by 2 i’m so tired and unmotivated that i’m just craving to sleep.
maybe it seasonal depression? idk maybe you or could provide some motivation 💕💕
I can completely understand how you feel. These unmotivated phases are something everyone goes through, especially lately with Corona and all the lockdowns...
Studying from home is not easy and requires a lot of self-discipline and if that's not at its peak for once, that's totally fine!✨
Just keep in mind why you are studying and what your goals are. And remember: hard work always pays off❣️ Whether it gets you a good grade or just enriches your own life and attitudes!
Even in difficult times, never forget to believe in yourself! But also listen to what your body is telling you. Take it easy! Take your time and especially give yourself some breaks!💖
When I feel lost and unmotivated, I always write lists full of the things I want to do. Whether that's related to playing a game, crafting or studying.
You should write everything down to be aware of what you want to do. After that you decide which things you want to do today. There should definitely be some bigger tasks, like summarizing a chapter for school, but also some smaller tasks, like painting your fingernails!✨
Gradually, you'll come to grips with your goals and when motivation seems to wane, tackle one of the smaller tasks!
Either way, at the end of the day, you'll be proud of yourself for getting a lot of things done, and it doesn't matter if you've completely finished your list!
You should just be proud that you did something at all, that you made an effort not to be unproductive.
Be aware of yourself. Be aware that you can do everything you want to do and above all: be proud of yourself!✨💗
Hello guys! I’m back from my vacation!✨🏞
And I came back to having 600 followers!😱🥰 Welcome to all the new ppl out here!
I also got tagged by @sweetstudymine to do the ✨get to know me tag✨
what is/was your favourite subject?
In high school, my favorite subjects were definitely biology and philosophy!✨ In university, my enthusiasm increases with everything that has to do with biological or neurological psychology. In my opinion, there is nothing more exciting than that!
what is your dream degree?
First, I will definitely want to complete my bachelor's degree, but I would love to do the master's and doctorate afterwards as well! My absolute dream is to work in psychological research, where the behavior and functions of the brain are studied and explored.
what is and did you get into your first choice of uni/college? If you haven't, what were your alternatives? (or if you're still in HS, what are your options?)
It's a little sad, but it ended up being the best decision I ever made! Because of Corona, I decided to go to a "distance learning university". That means I'm doing my entire bachelor's degree on my own and from home💪🏻 It's really tricky sometimes to do everything by myself, but I'm lucky that I was able to make some new friends through the internet and connectivity within the university! I can only recommend distance learning universities to others, but it takes a lot of self-discipline and strength to do it all. But it is a nice experience and I am glad that I can do it!🥰
are/were you an extracurricular student?
Not really. In high school, I took some courses that had to do with biology, but the older I got, the less time I had for it🥲
was there an essay or project you did for school that you loved to do and stuck with you?
Not really a specific essay or project, but I can definitely say that everything related to philosophy has changed me💭 In particular, my conception and understanding of things has been broadened and changed. Even today I can apply the things I learned while studying psychology. Many psychological thoughts and theories are related to philosophy, but also the other way around!
what did you do to relax from studying and school stress?
To relax I like to play Switch🥰 I'm particularly addicted to Pokémon games and Animal Crossing, as they don't require many brain cells. Other than that, I also like to read, write my own stories/fanfictions and craft. My irl friends are of course not forgotten! Once a week we meet to play DnD or just to chat.
what are your academic goals for the future?
As I wrote above, I would love to have a PhD and work in psychological research! But I would also settle for just a master's degree. Success is not everything and the most important thing in life is to be happy and healthy!✨

Guys, I'm ready!
I've done everything on my agenda and am ready to go on vacation tomorrow!💖
It still feels weird to think about driving far away after 1 1/2 years full of self isolation and lockdowns!😅
I'm looking forward to relax as much as I can before my upcoming exam! But I'm really optimistic that this exam will not be as exhausting and complicated as the others I wrote✨
Hope you have a nice week and also take some time to relax a bit🥰✨
Earlier this month, i started comparing myself with other people’s progress and it made me really insecure. I felt so down afterwards and it made me feel like my efforts were not enough.
This day, i finally decided to jot down all my feelings in a journal and reflect on things i needed to do in order for me to prevent being so harsh with my self.
I realized that comparing myself with other people is just so bad for my mental health and it’s not in any way helping with my progress as a med student and as a person. I know for myself that I cannot prevent myself from being jealous with other people’s lives (let’s be real here shall we) as it’s part of how we’re built as humans.
Sooo, in order for me to be at peace, i unfollowed and muted some of the people that’s making me feel so insecure. (Huhu im so sorry, im the problem here and not those people who I unfollowed)
I listed all my monthly achievements (since march) and failures then reflected on the things that i can improve on myself based on what I previously wrote.
I just wish this works and this makes me stop comparing myself for the next few months. I just can’t help being insecure sometimes:(((
Today is the 1st of October! Not only spooky season begins, but I'm also pretty excited to go on vacation in 9 days!✨ I'm really looking forward to it, because I need some time to relax before my exam💖
It's my first vacation in over 1 year bc of Covid and to stay at home and study all day exhausted me a lot...
I will try my best and accomplish my study agenda before going on vacation, so I will be able to relax!🥰✨ There are 4 1/2 chapters left to read, a few flashcards and some practice questions left to do✨ It seems to be doable, so wish me the best of luck💖
I hope you all are doing good and keep in mind that it's okay to take (mental health) breaks✨ I believe in you, you can achieve everything you want!!💖
See you soon!
Hey guys! I'm still not feeling well, but I still managed to record myself while making flashcards on StudySmarter✨
I'm gonna do some more flashcards, read 2 more chapters in my Social Psychology book and take the weekend off💖 I'm really looking forward to it!✨
Keep in mind to take breaks if you don't feel well! Stay safe✨🥺
Mental health recently going 📈📉📉 every few hours… Studying and keeping up with everything isn’t easy, I’m sorry for not posting anything🙈 Will come back as soon as I can!🥺💖
