it wasn’t often that ellie williams went shopping without her girlfriend there. it wasn’t that she was incapable, her girlfriend was in charge and she made that clear in the most loving way possible (wink wink) so whenever ellie went to the store alone for the first time in a while. she was terrified.

she knew what you want, the brand and the product written on the piece of paper and she had done well so far. a few bags in her hands as she entered the last store. arguably the most important as it was as a gift from ellie to you.

okay so maybe it was a gift for herself as well but she knew how you loved matching sets under your work clothes. you said that they make you feel pretty which she obviously told you that you always were

however, things got a bit steamy the night before and ellie had ended up ripping your favourite red set so she was on a mission to get a prettier one.

“you need help?” one of the workers asked, she looked amused probably at the way ellie just stood there dumbfounded

“oh yeah um, yeah my girlfriend she uh she wanted new lingerie so” the girl shrugged “i like these ones but i only know her size is like” she then places the shopping bags onto the floor and held her hands up to about your height and pretended to cup your boobs in her hands “that big?”

“right” the worker smirked, chuckling under her breath “don’t know the size just know you can cup em”

“uh yeah i guess” ellie looked down, visibly embarrassed and dying inside

so for the next half an hour, the two of them walked around the store cupping different bras that had matching underwear. she had found three sets that she loved and ending up buying them all, she even left with the workers number and the promise to go on a double date with you, her and her boyfriend one day

and when she got home, flashing the lingerie at you. you showed it off with a smile as you tried them on. the bras fit perfectly.

You had been dating Ellie Williams for a whole year and ten days. Life during the apocalyptic world was tough and you found solitude within each other. You were there when Joel died and there when ellie hunted down abby. That was back when you were just friends, however.

You had been there through her hardest moments and now your with her as life starts looking better.

The two of you had just re-moved into the farmhouse that you had ditched on the hunt for Abby and Ellie thought it was just about the perfect time to dig into her special stash.

The sun was setting, logs burning on the bonfire and you were cuddled under a blanket looking out at the darkening sky.

Ellie plucked the joint she had rolled an hour prior from behind her ear and leant forward slightly, carefully lighting it using the flames from the bonfire. She was the first to take a few puffs before handing it over to you, hee hand delicately places on your bare thigh as you took a drag.

Once the joint was finished with, you stubbed it out against the ever growing pile of roaches in the homemade ash tray.

The two of you just spoke until it kicked in, ellie had been building all day while you baked in the kitchen with quiet music playing in the back.

The sudden feeling of heaviness came first, your head dropping onto Ellie’s shoulder as if it was too heavy to hold up. You could feel your mouth dry up and your eyes go glossy. Looking over at Ellie, it had also seemed to hit her too

“i love you so much” you told her, Ellie knew even if you were to never speak those words again

“yeah, i know” Ellie joked, smirking as if she was so proud of her joke. You didn’t find it funny though, gently shoving her “hey! i was messing with ya! you know i’m in love with you”

“yeah, i know” and with that, you give her the cheesiest grin you could muster up

getting high with the one you loved wasn’t the worst way to spend your time at all

pov: i’m missing summer and i’m indulging in my current fixation

picnics all the time and i mean like if she ever sees a cool spot on a walk, beast believe you’ll be back in a day or two with a basket of food and drinks

not the biggest fan of the beach but will go if you wanted to

prefers doing lake days to beach days, something about it being a little more private and less people seeing you in a swimming costume

don’t get her wrong, she loves showing off what’s hers but to a degree. men love to ogle at her beauty of a girlfriend and ellie wasnt about to let them have a free show

water fights with ellie are a must and often happen unannounced

just imagine laying on the grass or sun deck in your back garden and suddenly ellie comes running over with a water gun and just drenching you

going into that point more, she’d also be holding another water gun and when you stand up, she’ll throw it at you so you can actually have a water fight.

as long as it’s a clear night, you best believe that ellie is dragging you into your garden to stargaze
