Ok The Part About Tinkers And Steampunk Got Me Thinking What Would Tinkers Do In Like Medieval Times

Ok the part about tinkers and steampunk got me thinking what would tinkers do in like medieval times or like hunter gatherer times. Like I know in scions interlude it talks about Earth being the ideal time for powers in early 2000s and I guess this is why. Also for 1800s would there just be a tinker with a regular modern day pistol?

Worm but it takes place during a cicada year and/or in the 1800s when there were mile long swarms of locusts or just like have a tinker genetic engineer locusts back into existence

Taylor really deserved the name Pestilence and this is exactly why.

also, I would highly dig an 1800’s au. like, imagine: the undersiders are a merry band of outlaws and they pull off the bank robbery like a classic wild west holdup. Foil would be an Annie Oakley-style sharpshooter. I wonder how the tinkers would operate without advanced tech? steam-powered machinery, obviously. this is now an 1800’s steampunk western worm au

This sounds like Hatchet Face had a spin-off

Hack/Slash is not the best comic in the world, but whatever else you want to say about it, “Jason Voorhees but he’s actually a superhero” is, like, probably the protagonist concept most directly catered to me personally in the history of protagonist concepts

What if it turns out that humans have actually adapted to something the Hilammu can’t survive and humans now use that as a symbol of pride like maybe no species besides humans can have orange juice because of its specific chemical combination

Also what if tartigrades become the animals of humanity

[This idea has been rattling in my brain and I had to share it.]

I know we all love the ‘humans are space orcs’ concept… but imagine, onboard the new ship they’ve been assigned to, the human meets an actual space orc. A massive monster… fangs and tusks and scars and a battle-hardened stare, looming over all the other life forms on the ship in its thick indestructible armour it refuses to remove. It barely drinks, it doesn’t need sleep, its massive shoulders are heavy with the terrible things it has experienced. Compared to the squishy & delicate human body, this thing is a walking tank.

… Except instead of hating/ignoring one another, the human and the monster start bonding over both coming from death planets. The human is excited to find a life form who doesn’t quiver with fear at the vague description of a jellyfish and the monster is ecstatic to meet someone who understands the feeling of being bitten by a qua’lem (cats are pretty close). They sit together and compare dangerous animals and locations as the other aliens look on in confusion and fear… oh, you also have dense jungles of deadly hidden predators, boiling acid lakes, tamed predatory killers, and areas with horrendously high and low temperatures? Sick!!

It doesn’t take long before the two of them become totally inseparable. The human loves not feeling like some kind of crazy outsider and the monster is overjoyed they’ve finally found an equal in this unkillable marshmallow.

Monster: When I was a youngling, a grol-lik stung straight through my armour. The pain lasted for approximately 16 human hours. Human: Oh yeah man, I get that. As a kid I got a wasp stuck in my shirt. It stung me like four times, it was awful, and all my cousins just laughed at me… Monster: [using their arm screen to research human courting methods] I see.

I mea. i totally agree that just about everyone would actually be normal but i’m pretty fine with that

I mean if you do get bored even with the nano tea while there isn’t a ton to do you can still do shit to spice up your life and make new entertainment

"i'd be a scythe" "i'd be a tonist" "i'd be a nimbus agent" well I'D like to point out that most of us are lying to ourselves. most of us would be ordinary people. i probably would be, but i don't want to imagine living forever like that because that's boring and tiring and it's hard to imagine the nanite-filled version of myself who lives that life contented by it. i want to be a scythe, but that disqualifies me from the job. but even if it didn't, i'd never want to be a scythe if that were an actual possibility because i would be a different person without the layers of fucked up that are happening in my brain chemistry. i can't even say i'd be a tonist and take my nanites out because nanite-d me wouldn't be thinking as hard as real me about who i am and whether the nanites are changing me fundamentally. so yeah. i'd be boring in the aoas universe. calling it now.

just remembered this old clickhole video i used to be obsessed with

how the hell does Blake have more votes than Avery or Verona, he’d probably trip and lose like seriously i get the those two aren’t direct combatants but neither are push overs and both are good in chaos like a huge 7 way brawl, Avery does her flanking taking out anyone at the edges not paying attention and Verona just runs around throwing potions and being a nuisance

I want to see an episode of a show maybe superheroes maybe magic or something where there’s a two part episode where on of the characters acts insane the the next they just screaming in joy and it revealed they’ve been stuck in a time loop and went insane And this should be a major status quo change with this character needing rehab and the person responsible which means this would probably work best with the time looper being previously introduced. I don’t know the point of these episodes, maybe show how secretly evil this world is or something I just think this would be cool to see the effects of a time loop or a less graphic episode where one character does all the time loop stud of knowing what your going to say and do and using the other characters to break free

I don’t know if this is just me but I always imagined that Vought kept their real top their Supes in the background like Victoria or Sydney with Homelander striking the middle ground of being powerful but not to powerful

I enjoy The Boys but one major problem I have with it is that it’s so hard to compare strengths to other settings, like we never see Homelander challenged so we have no clue how’d he fair against others which I get is maybe sorta the point with it being like him as a medium fish on a small pond but it’s still annoying
