DPxDC Prompt: Magical arrangement

Betrothal between Captain Marvel and Princess Danielle Phantom of the Infinite Realms: Both are about 14, both can shapeshift (make her look more adult to fit in) and both don’t want to bother with marriage at this point, but they are close friends and people keep asking Danny for his daughters hand in marriage - The Champion of Magic is a suitable political arrangement.

1) Maybe the Justice League gets involved when the contract is hammered out or when Billy is informed

2) Maybe when Billy calls Danny or Dani to deal with a problem none of them can.

They see an Eldritch abomination turn into a women that looks about in her 20's with White hair and Green eyes run at Captain Marvel and Hug him and Billy gets to explain that "This is Princess Danielle Phantom of the Infinite Realms, daughter of his Majesty Phantom, High King of the realms of the afterlife. My fiance"

3) Maybe one day Captain Marvel just turns to Constantine and tells him that his father in law owns over ¾ of his soul and would like to have a meeting about it.

Constantine splitters "What?"

"My father in law wants a meeting in regards to the soul contracts that he inherited." The Justice League is confused. Batman is the one who asks.

"Your father in law? We were unaware you're married Captain." A flash of realization crosses his face.

"I've been betrothed to Ellie so long I just refer to her father as that. My partner is Princess Danielle Phantom of the Infinite Realms, Princess of the Cosmos. Her Father is High King Daniel Janus Phantom, king of the realms of the afterlife. Apparently several people that Constantine made deals with handed them over as part of their taxes? I didn't bother to understand, the end result is that he has possession of the majority of your soul contracts an would like to meet you to settle a different contract due to not wanting to deal with the paperwork." Billy said all of that in a measured a tone as he could as several emotions crossed The face of most of the League with Constantine having the most amusing one.

"How did you end up betrothed to the Daughter of the High King of the Dead and Ghosts?!" Constantine splutters. That one Billy can easily answered

"Oh me and Elle were friends for a long time and she was required to look for a partner to strengthen the Realms, as the semi-mortal Champion of Magic I was considered an eligible partner. I asked what she thought of it and went to King Phantom about it. I love her and we'll get married eventually but at the moment we are simply betrothed untill we both decide that we wish to wed." The JL looked even more concerned at that which he didn't understand, wasn't that a reasonable response?

Ghost helpline part 16- Everyone goes home

Billy walked out of the, surprisingly opened at 3 am, art store with bags of painting supply. Ducking into an alley, he transformed. He felt a lot better.

Alright he was ready to head for Gotham, after all his family was waiting for him there.

Now how to get around the Bats, he could probably avoid them if he walked in Bludhaven right?

- “Ow! What the hell! Billy???” The kid had decided to detransform mid air and ended up on top of the small vampire.

“Jack?”

The two looked at each other, “Holly shit are you bleeding! Did I do that?”

“What no of course not! I just got caught up with some bigoted werewolf.” Reds blood was already dry, skin scared as if the encounter had taken place days ago. “Billy what are you even doing here?!”

“Finished that pie at the diner and took a walk around the place. Was just starting to head home”

Translation: I’m done with my mission and patrol of Fawcett and am trying to go home.

“And you didn’t take the short cut home because?”

Billy quizzically raised an eyebrow, seriously what does my sister see in this guy? “ Taking the long way seemed like a safer bet, especially in a town like this.”

Translation: Do you want me to get caught by the Batman ?? Huh? Do you?

“Right, we should get going there’s no telling if that wolf will come back. Need a lift?”

“Can’t we just call Dandy to pick us up?”

Red shook his head, “No can do, he left to go pick up Violet chances are he’s barely coming back into town.”

“What do you mean pick Violet up? Where is she?!?”

“It’s a whole thing, just look I am not comfortable being here right now. Don’t you know wolves travel in packs? Do you want a lift or not!?!?”

“Fine.” Jack hoisted Billy over his shoulder, “This is humiliating.”

“Hardy har har, I may be a weak vampire but even I can care you in this form. Now hold tight.”

They disappeared in a blur of pink.

And Nightwing set down the binoculars, this was going to be a long report.

“Hold on hold on we can just check the mirror again!”

“Flipping flapjacks, where the heck is Small-ville?”

Klarion could feel Dandy’s eyes burning into him. Whoops, “Well I at least need to know what state we’re in for me to teleport more accurately… so.”

Danka smiled, “So we ask for directions! We are literally on top of a farm right now - someone has got to be here!”

“Well not like we got any other plans here.”

A short walk, a pie and a conversation later Klarion managed to teleport them to the mansion.

Dandy couldn’t enjoy it for a minute. He stopped dead in his tracks, “Klarion, we forgot the car.”

Bruce’s neck hurt, did he sleep on the

bat-puter again? No it was too soft. He shifted and opened his eyes… he was on a couch? Oh, OH. That wasn’t suppose to happen, he couldn’t have been that tired. The tv was off, and there was a blanket on top of him.

Vlad was gone and the lights were dimmed.

Great he had made a fool out of himself.

Right, it was time to leave. Right now. He could apologize later but he had to leave.

CRASH!

Bruce jolted into action. The sound came from upstairs.

Bruce got into his car and went home.

He left felling giddy and guilty, holding Vlad’s number.

Dick knew better to keep secrets from The Batman, so he wasn’t going to lie. He just also wasn’t going to tell him what happened to his face. If Bruce really needed to know what happened tonight he could read the report on it.

Violet stares at the phone longer than necessary, she’s got one shot at this. Don’t fuck up.

She plucks a number out of her inventory and dials.

Violet has never been close to Bradley, he was quiet and reserved. He insisted that she couldn’t do anything without help, well on the upside if someone thinks you’re useless it’s not like you can disappoint them more than you already do.

- Brad hung up the phone and abandoned his brothers at the movie theater. His sister had called him, him! Not Dandy or Danka or Klarion! She had called him! And now he he had a little sister to save!

He checked the time on his Lock Screen, a picture of Violet having a stuffed animal tea party, it was his prized possession. His little baby sister was just so adorable and kind. And if anyone in Gotham hurt her there was going to be hell to pay! - literally!

Verissa had been about town with Lindir when thier dear little nephew had run up to them crumbs splattered on his face hands wide for a hug. All the elves adored the children of Dale and Lindir was no acception.

“Of course you may,” Verissa cleaned his cheeks “ this is my friend Lindir.”

The rest of the afternoon was quite uneventful until dinner time approached the child, “Do I have to go home Verissa?”

“ You do. Look as much as your parents may fight they love you okay.”

“Really?”

“Of course, as constant as the stars above always know that you are loved....now go hone my poor brother must be worried sick! Shoo!”

Danny became the head assistant to one Timothy Drake-Wayne after nearly 20 years of being retired from the hero gig. In Danny's opinion,no 16 year old should be managing a multi - million dollar company as a pass time instead the fricking grown adult who owned said company... *cough,cough .....Bruce Wayne.

But then again,what did he know, alot.....he knew alot about Tim and his family of furries...the undead souls of Gotham tended to tell you things if you gave them the chance, he was just some guy in his thirties who had just moved to Gotham just a year ago. He couldn't just walk up to them and offer a free therapy session with his sister to fix the general mess that was the Wayne family unless he wanted the 'batclan' to start paying attention to him and later creeping him out with their stalking. So he chose a more subtle approach ; slowly integrate into their lives and fix their disaster of a family one appointment at a time.

He started off great. Tim began to open up to him in the office as the days went by. They talked in-between work schedules and meetings. He learnt about Tim's likes and dreams,lent an ear when he needed to vent about stuff involving home or school. In a way , Danny had realised somewhere in between that he was slowly mentally adopting Tim as his kid . He ended doing the same thing with the other Wayne children when he met them. Apparently,Tim spoke about him to the others when he was home and they had all gotten curious. Heck he had even met Alfred and they got on like a house on fire . Now he sometimes joins the old man to shop for groceries every other weekend. He had met Bruce as well and let's just say their first meeting involved Danny scolding the hell out of the man for allowing a literal child to manage his company when said child should have been doing child things as well as all the other things and the others had told him Bruce had done. Alfred had patted him on the back after he had finished his speech while the kids had been laughing at their father's expense.

Bruce had surprisingly taken it like a man considering the fact that he was being told off on how to 'parent' by a twink who was his son's assistant and therefore his employee. Danny had expected to be jobless after that fiasco but instead he was invited to dinner that very same week by Bruce himself. Albeit Bruce refused to make eye contact and seemed to have been having a fever as his face and ears were bright red but Danny didn't mind,free food was free food.... Even if he still wonderd why he had spotted Dick and Stephanie spying on them from the hallway with knowing looks on their faces......

Danny didn't even know how but suddenly he was fully involved in their lives; night time hobbies included after they dramatically told him to which Danny had simply responded with an "ya don't say?"and proceeded to go back to drinking his tea with Alfred . Things in the bat-brood were healing nicely;they were talking, bonding and generally starting to look like a true family. A true family with Danny in it. And Danny himself didn't realize this until one fluke .....no.... Two flukes occurred on the night of the biggest gala Danny had ever attended in his halfa life {galas he attended at Sam's mansion included} .

The first fluke ,he had been both happy and embarrassed about.....

Not one or two or three BUT four of the Wayne children had addressed him as 'Dad' . That too in front of a large group of guests and reporters with cameras and recorders . Damien had gone as far as to specify that ,yes they were referring to him and not Bruce..

And the second fluke....

Well, Danny wasn't sure how to feel about that one............

... Bruce Wayne,the bachelor billionaire,the man Danny had come to have a huge slight man crush on,...........

Kissed Danny. Right on the lips. On the balcony.

And Danny being a complete idiot had hiccuped then used his invisibility to hide and later run all while forgetting one tiny thing..

Team Phantom all have an inside joke where they refer to Dani as Danny’s daughter, while also calling Vlad an absentee mother who doesn’t pay child support.

Eventually Danny’s at the Justice league space station and hears some of the senior members talking about how the current Robin has attempted to stab a multiple people.

Danny curiously asks them about Robin and eventually they tell him he’s 11 and he just accidentally blurts out that his daughter’s around robins age.

The league members, stare at “eternally a teenager” Danny and go through mini existential crisis about the member that looks like a child having a child of their own. One of them asks if his daughter’s adopted and Danny says that she’s biologically his.

They ask about her mother or other parent and he says that if his daughters “mother” paid child support then he could have a say in things.

Eventually the conversation gets to Batman’s ears and he corners Phantom, not for learning sensitive information about Robin, but for parenting tips.

Now Danny’s giving Batman advice on how to treat/care for a surprise ex-assassin child with an absentee criminal “mother” who obsesses over their child’s father.

Oh Dani is definitely stealing shit!

Also at what point does archaeology stop being theft? Lolllll

Danny, out of all the titles he could have earned, out of all the jobs he could have gotten in the Zone, never imagined it would have been 'Pirate'.

But really, it fits.

He's wanted in both the Zone and the Living World by the law, he regularly causes property damage, has a fierce reputation of winning every fight he gets into, cheats in said fights to win, and refuses to be bound by the most base instinct of any ghost or halfa; he has no obsession.

He doesn't want one.

Sure, he helps the Living and saves them if required, but he isn't compelled to do so through an obsession.

At least on the Living World side of things, his official job is scientist; he has a ship that's a mix of scientific and old-world galleon, and he travels the Zone recording the cultures and languages he finds.

Well, as a human that's his job. Not like the government knows about his Phantom persona.

Sam and Tucker joined him, obviously, as did Dani and Dan. Frostbite had made him take a few yetis as crew just in case of medical emergencies.

Sam has made it her goal to find rare or extinct plants, from their home dimension or not. Tucker is researching any and all tech they can find. Dani wanted to come along and as Danny's little sister/clone, he didn't want to say no. Dan wants to fight all the things, and Danny...couldn't really prevent his twin/clone from boarding the ship.

He can't see Youngblood anymore, but he knows for a fact that the kid is around; the loving notes carved into the walls of the ship about cool treasures nearby are proof enough. That, and the pirate flag that keeps appearing, hoisted above his ship.

It's gotten to the point that he never bothers taking it down.

Okay, maybe he leans into it a little. Get's himself a fancy hat to go along with some fancy piratey coats he found. In his defense, they're all leaning into it.

Mom, dad, and Jazz had opted to stay on their home dimension and follow their goals there.

Mom and dad for researching ghost biology, since that's not what Danny's doing at all.

Jazz to pursue her Masters in Sociology and Bachelors in Ghost Anthropology.

Not that they never join, but that more often than not they're perfectly content on their home dimension.

It's a small crew, but it's Danny's.

Honestly, it's a million times better than being an astronaut. Instead of just visiting space in his world, he gets to visit different spaces from different dimensions.

With this job, he doesn't have to be anchored to just one reality.

Sometimes, he even saves the Living from different dimensions that get thrown into the Zone.

Like now.

There's a gasping, barely conscious man in spandex sprawled out on his deck.

"Welcome aboard," Danny says wryly, not bothering to get up from his seat.

A man who has to be the captain sits on a crate, draped in pilfered gold and a grand, ethereal frock coat hanging off of his shoulders as he hold what appears to be a tankard of...grog?

It's gotta be grog, the man's a pirate.

The man's also, as the kids would say, leaking Aura.

....No literally, there's like, a slight green glow around him.

"Welcome aboard," the pirate says, a crooked smile on his face as he continues to lounge.
