STOP BEING PRETTY VERNON
Is AM really as like. Squishy as he looks? Because he looks very soft in that one drawing
And on that note do AM and Ver cuddle often?
VernonAM πΊπ₯οΈ
I like to think he's a mixture of Firm AND soft, AM added extra skin as a cushion for the metal and wires. Vernon can definitely feel some muscle + metal/wires under the squish (Pudgy? I'm not sure what the English word is)
As for touch, I've given some background for AM's acclimation to having a body in this post for context!
Vernon and AM cuddle - AM enjoys the warmth she provides while Vernon is extremely touch starved.
While it's unsettling that AM's body is so cold, she enjoys that she's not sweating when they cuddle (+ she's a freak that thinks it's cool he's kind of like a corpse. More info here). AM likes that Vernon seeks physical contact with him and being close to him.
So everything works out!
I π this
Cuddle puddle!!!!
OMG AND THEY WERE ROOMMATES
So far I've sobbed 3 times and gone crazy over things in a span of five minutes but ALAS, WE THRIVE
HES BACK
Thank you sweet thing
π¦: How long did it take them to get out of the awkward early relationship stage? Have they gotten more confident around each other?

For Krueger and Nak!
Great to see you again One horned beast!!The Ask Game
π¦How long did it take to get out of the awkward early relationship stage? Have they gotten more confident around each other?
Honestly? A week. It would've been shorter if they went official off the bat.
Nak didn't know how to respond to romantic affection. Her confusion with where they stood on their relationship (at the time unlabeled) was also a factor. Krueger is more laid back, he just did whatever felt right, and wanted to prioritize just having her comfortable with him in that way. (Idk if that makes sense)
They're more comfortable around each other now than they are when they started going out.
π Do they have any previous relationship experience from past partners? How does it reflect on how they handle their current one?
Nak? None. Krueger's her only relationship experience LMAO what a loser /j . She didn't really have crushes or interest in anyone but herself back in Laos. The couples she saw around during her time in the LPAF gave her insight in how a good and bad relationship is supposed to be (basically living vicariously lol). So when she started being in a relationship with Krueger, she mimicked what she saw in the past before she found her own pace.
Krueger has had a few relationships in the past, but mostly preferred to stay single for longer periods of time. He didn't like how people would change the moment there was romantic feelings involved, and expectations of just having to be "the stoic mysterious lover thats closed off" irked him. With Phayvanh he didn't want that; he wants to be able to be silly around her in the way they usually are, she's one of his best friends. Luckily it came easy with her, their pace was similar in practice :3
ποΈ Give just a general domestic tidbit for em (things they like about each other, routines, habits, and just overall sweet stuff)
I already Answered this in the last ask but I'm gonna do it again in more detail >:D !! I Love these!!
If Nak has a broken arm, Krueger ties her hair up for her, sometimes he switches up the ponytail to have it be braids or a half up half down type of thing. (It takes everything in him to not give her the most atrocious hairstyle)
The way they drink tea is so vastly different. Nak drinks hers with nothing while Krueger puts too much sugar in his
Just Admiring each other's tattoos idk they're dumb. Nak is fond of the one on his stomach, but makes fun of the one on his back (the wolf one). Krueger just idly traces the designs of Nak's tattoos on her back with his fingers.
Just??? One randomly smacks the others ass HARD and runs off so the other chases after them?? Weirdos. (Nak is guilty of this)
This interaction:
"Phayvanh it's 8 in the morning."
"What about it."
"Put on a shirt."
"Put on some pants."
"You're flashing me."
"You're flashing me!"
Then they watched TV.
Thank you for reading :D it's been a while since I've done stuff explaining their dynamics so hopefully it's ok ;u;
Rip Krueger , youβd would of loved cooking mama π

@vasyandii Thanks for bringing light to that personβs actions. Now let me throw some more in.
(Read this to learn about more harmful black stereotypes)
Watermelon and fried chicken was once a staple of income for the freed post civil war. Black farmers wanting to earn money , grew watermelon. It was actually very popular to the point a certain group of people didnβt like that.
Watermelon also wasnβt just something for us to sell. It was a sign of liberty and freedom for us.

Chicken , chicken was the only livestock slaves could keep or own. Another source of income that eventually was stolen. You know that iconic restaurant KFC is a good example of this. (Search up the origins of the KFC recipe.)
Another item painted in a negative light, and used against us to justify hatred and dehumanization.
(Read this to see the full extent of how this can affect someone of color and more history.)
We have slowly started taking back a lot of things, but with the way these once liberated items been painted to stain. Shame only follows us.
It had never once graced my little head, growing up in the south. Eating these foods with joy that they made me into something others looked down upon.
I was just a child , enjoying food that was made/grown by the people I loved. I love my family, and I love my community.
Thank you all for reading this , and remember to do research and ask. It will not hurt your pride to ask someone of color if what you created/wrote is harmful in any way.
We will not be upset with you for asking us questions regarding our history. But we will , if you intentionally ignore the struggles and causes.
Plus , some arenβt always willing to share their experiences/history. Respect that decision too. We donβt owe anyone anything if we donβt feel like your intentions arenβt great.
See you soon!
I have a question.
On Vernon, with the fact that we know she's a literal sadomasocist, (I think I said that right...) I'm just curious as to why or how this may have come up. Had she always been this "messed up in the head," as to say, or did she develop her morbid curiosity from an event that changed her?
Howdy Howdy! Thank you so much for the ask!ππ My Laotian ocs always have some aspect on Lao culture and history. So 2 in 1, you also get a very brief history lesson!
Had Vernon always been like this?
I believe she was always like this, some people are born the way that they are, and the environment they were raised in can further encourage or discourage their behaviors. If it wasn't for the circumstances of her environment, she might've had the chance to change.
Vernon is born in 1952, A year before Laos gained its independence as a nation (before that, the French recolonized, and before THAT, the Japanese).
For the first six years of her life, Vernon was raised lucky by all means; Rich family, A loving mother and father, grandparents that doted on her, etc. she was well liked by her peers for being friendly, charismatic, and extremely intelligent.
Vernon always exhibited a certain cruelty in her play as a child. She would rip off limbs of insects and line them up, have lizards drop their tails to look at the inside of it, peel back the skin of hers/other's cuts and scrapes. Vernon's parents disciplined her of course, it's just what some kids did at the time and that was their job to fix that.
It wasn't until 1960, one year into the Lao Civil War, when she first witnessed devastation. It wasn't much, Vernon (8) didn't see anything but the rubble of homes and buildings. But there was a little urge in her that wanted to see if there was anything left in them she could keep.
She was caught digging through the rubble of a neighbor's house. Her parents, were furious. She wasn't allowed to leave their side now, they were worried sick, her behavior was subdued for the convenience of her parents.
Four years later, 1964 Americans were now dropping bombs to fight the communist uprising in Laos. A planeload of cluster bombs dropped every 8 minutes, 24 hours a day. Vernon (12) saw death, the smell of ashes, burning hair and skin, limbs strewn about. She was terrified, but fascinated. It was meat, it used to be a person but now it's nothing but flesh. She wished she could've held it for a little bit, poked it, dissect it.
Her parents were already planning to leave Laos due to the tension from the civil war over the years, but now? They had to move fast, gathering what money they had to go to Thailand and taking a boat to America. They got out within the first 4 months.
Vernon lived a relatively normal life in Sacramento. Excelling in school, having a good group of friends. It wasn't until she landed her job as an Archeologist that her behavior, subdued for years, went haywire. Her job was just an outlet for it.
If you got this far, thank you for reading :D I tend to ramble a lot so if there's anything you'd like for me to clarify feel free to tell me!
