Iplier Egos x reader HCs - Their Favorite Non-Video Game
Dark: Chess
I think he would enjoy how complex and mentally challenging it can be
Chess is also considered a relaxation game for some people
So I wonder if maybe he’ll play chess in order to calm himself down when the other egos (or someone/something else) is driving him up a wall
If you play chess and you’re good at it, you’d probably be his favorite opponent
If you don’t know how to play, he’d be happy to teach you
He’s always happy to spend time with his darling
Wilford: Pie Face or Headbands
It depends on his mood
One moment he’ll be taking the risk of being hit with whipped cream, the next he’ll be crying because of memories of “That Night”
He’s haunted by his past and it really does affect what he can and cannot play at times
When he’s not in the mood for Pie Face, he’ll sometimes play a fun little game like Headbands
A guessing game that can become very chaotic very quickly
Life needs a little madness and that sounds like a good way to set it free, especially if it’s with you
Actor Mark: Poker
He has a gambling addiction
Probably
It’s a way to get more money for his “luxurious” lifestyle
If you play with him, trust that he’ll be flaunting his victories in your face
If he loses, he’ll act like it never happened or give a lame excuse as to why he lost
If you don’t play, that’s probably for the best
But at the same time, if he’s playing against other people and you’re with him, he’ll use you as a kind of “good luck charm” instead of a competitor
That’s just his way of bragging to the others that he has such a lovely lady by his side
Yancy: Charades
It kinda matches up with his musical hobby
Since charades is a game of movement and guessing, he’d probably enjoy it
Also, it’s a multiplayer game so he could play with his fellow prisoners
If everyone is busy, you can play with him, just the two of you
He’d figure out how to say “I love you” in body movements without using sign language or actually touching you
He’s really good
Illinois Jones: Any Card Game
He has limited space when he packs for an adventure
If he’s going to take a game to play while he’s out and about, it should NOT take up much room him his bag
That’s why card games are his favorite
They are very entertaining and don’t take up much room
Even a simple deck of playing cards can go a long way
He loves playing with you, his partner and girlfriend
It’s nice to play with someone rather than being stuck in a single player game for a long time
Dr. Iplier: Operation
It’s like practice for his job but it’s a game
Those tiny pieces are especially tricky and he LOVES it
He feels very happy and accomplished when he completes the entire game without getting Cavity Sam’s nose to light up
If you play the game with him, then expect him to guide your hands from behind
Like that romantic yet annoying thing that couples do when one of them is working on something
He gets really close, his whole body pressed up against yours
When you successfully extract a tough object, he’ll whisper praises in your ear
You can feel his warm breath and it sends shivers down your spine every time
If he wants to really make you flustered, he’ll nibble on your ear and kiss your neck
Just a little something he does with you and you alone
Google: Google Feud
I don’t think this counts as a video game
Anyway, he likes to extend his knowledge by playing this game
It helps improve what he could potentially expect one of his “brothers” or you could ask him at any time
His primary objective being what it is
If you decide to play with him, he’ll enjoy seeing your facial reactions when you read off the answers, or seeing your smile when you get something right
He might be a robot and not fully able to understand the concept of love
But he truly enjoys spending time with you, someone who treats him just like a normal person
It’s something that makes him feel human
Bing: Cards Against Humanity
Why does that game just seem to fit his personality (and search engine)?
It’s goofy, funny, and at times inappropriate, just like him
It’s a game he can enjoy with a lot of people
Unfortunately, he can’t play a one-on-one game of CAH with you, his girlfriend, but he’s happy that he can enjoy time with you alongside the other people in his life that he cares about
Yandereplier: Hide and Seek
What’s more romantic than a friendly game of hide and seek?
Especially when he didn’t know that he was going to be playing until you’re already hiding
His heart races as he searches each and every room for you
Whenever something makes a sudden sound, his head whips toward it so fast you swear he could get whiplash
After a while he’ll find you
He always does
He’ll hold you close and say how much fun the game was and how much he loves you
He’ll also whisper that you should never surprise him with hide and seek again lest you never see the light of day again
He does care about you
He’ll do anything for his sweet sweet senpai and girlfriend
Even if that means keeping you away from the world
Head Engineer Mark: He’s Down for Whatever
He doesn’t really play games because he’s too busy
However, if you ask, he could probably take some time off and play a game
Of course, none of you really packed anything so it’ll likely end up being a game like Sticks, Checkers, Chess, Tic-Tac-Toe, anything that you guys can make or have on hand
It’s nice to take a break and have a little fun
It takes his mind off of things
Here's what the top of my decorated cap looks like!!
The doorbell rang throughout the house, signaling the long-awaited arrival of the postman. It had been a couple weeks since (Y/n) had gotten early access to the new Google IRL. Finally, the day had come to test it out. Running down the stairs, she quickly opened up the door and saw the.. surprisingly small package with the Google insignia on it. She picked it up, and brought it into the house.
Honestly, (Y/n) was a little disappointed that it wasn’t as big as she expected it to be, but who was she to judge? Maybe it was a small droid? Grabbing a box cutter, she sliced through the packing tape. As soon as the lid flapped open, a tall figure popped out of the box, making her fall back and yelp in surprise.
The man now standing in the box had glasses and fluffy black hair along with some. He wore a royal blue shirt with the classic four-colored ‘G’ that Google was known for. “H-hello?” (Y/n) asked nervously, waving at him. “Hello.” Came his deep voiced reply as he grinned down at her from her position on the floor. He stuck out his hand and (Y/n) grabbed it, his strength surprising her as he pulled her up.
(Y/n) wasn’t entirely sure what to do from there. Her expectations for her new device had been thrown out the window so what now? “Umm.. hey Google?” The familiar sound of the ‘Google’s listening’ ping sounded from the man in front of her. “What can you do? What are your objectives?”
“Kill” She couldn’t hear what he said until he continued in a louder voice. “Primary Objective is to answer questions as quickly as possible. Secondary Objective is to destroy mankind.” (Y/n) blinked in confusion as she and Google stared at each other, and after a few seconds she began to giggle. “Very funny, Google.” A small smile graced the robot’s handsome face.
“Anyway, what can you do? Like, can you do tasks or do you just answer questions?”
“I have been programmed to do rudimentary tasks along with answering any and all questions to the best of my ability.” He responded and (Y/n) thought for a moment. “Okay then, Google, could you please go get the laundry from the dryer, put it in a basket, and bring it to me so I can fold it?” The robot narrowed his eyes and frowned a little but walked away to the laundry room. (Y/n) brought out her phone and activated netflix, turning on an episode of her favorite show. She found that she worked better when watching or listening to something else at the same time.
Google returned with the laundry, in a laundry basket just like she had asked, and placed it in front of her. “Would you also like me to fold the laundry?” He asked, his eyes peering at her expectantly, waiting for an answer or command. (Y/n) shook your head. “No, it’s okay. I can do that. I don’t really have anything else to do at the moment. You can relax if you want. I’ll tell you if I need anything.” Google seemed surprised but nodded and walked away.
Google was in fact surprised. His new user wasn’t going to laze around while he did all the work? Unlike some of the other users who also received access to Google IRL, she was just letting him relax while she did some work. Yes, she’d likely need him later for something but why not get him to do everything now? He sat down on a chair, thinking, even using his search engine to try and figure out what exactly was going on.
Days passed quickly and Google found that he greatly enjoyed his new home. Yes, he had work to do, when it was requested by (Y/n), but she did just as much as him. Honestly, she treated him like another person, talking to him like a friend or family member. It was something strange yet pleasing to think about. She seemed to trust him quite a lot which brought him closer to potentially receiving admin privileges. World domination and the destruction of humankind was so close, he could feel it.
Oddly enough though, he didn’t really want her to perish along with the rest of humanity.
-timeskip-
It was a quiet Saturday and the two beings sat in the living room, (Y/n) reading and Google just sitting in a semi-sleep mode. “Are you hungry?” Asked Google when he heard her stomach growl. She nodded, getting up from the couch. “Would you like me to look up any recipes or search up the number of a restaurant?”
A screen revealing the classic search engine background appeared in front of him, the cursor waiting to type your command. (Y/n) considered it for a minute. “Umm.. search for the nearest Papa John’s Pizza phone number please.” Google nodded and the screen shifted to the website of the restaurant.
Her stomach growled again at the idea of food that she didn’t have to make and she thanked Google, taking out her phone and started ordering food. Google closed the search engine and watched her figure leave the room as she talked on the phone. He had to admit that she was very attractive with her (s/c) skin, shining (e/c) eyes, and gorgeous (h/c) hair. How lucky was he to be sent to such a beautiful woman with such a caring nature, even if it was a little confusing.
Google’s engine sped up which caused his cheeks to turn red. What was this feeling? Concerned that he might be fighting an internal virus, he ran a system diagnostic. “Nothing wrong?” He thought in confusion. Google once again activated his search engine and searched up his symptoms. His eyes widened at the search results. “I.. have a crush? On (Y/n)? No.. that’s impossible.. I’m a robot. I can’t catch feelings for anyone. I’m not programmed to have those kinds of emotions.”
When (Y/n) suddenly came back into the room, typing away on her phone, he rushed to close the tab and hoped she didn’t see it. Fortunately she wasn't focused on him but now he was curious. “Who are you texting?” Asked the robot man and she looked up at him. “My friend, Matthias, why?”
Google’s mechanical mind whirred. She couldn’t be talking about that Matthias could she? Yes, you both lived relatively close to each other, but the chances of you two being friends and in contact were rather low. “Will you allow me access to your contacts?” Google asked, a small pop up screen appearing in front of him. (Y/n) seemed to think about it for a few seconds then clicked the Accept button.
Google’s mind flooded with new information. After a second or two of searching, he found the name he was looking for. “Matthias Fredrick..” He murmured softly. Yes, this was exactly the man he hoped you weren’t referring to. “And why, pray tell, were you texting him?”
“Oh, I was inviting him over for dinner.”
“You were WHAT??” (Y/n) was taken aback by the sudden outburst. “Woah, Google, chill. I don’t understand why you’re upset about this. I ordered enough for at least two people, possibly more, so you don’t need to worry about-”
“I’m not worried or upset about the food. Why are you inviting him over for dinner?” He looked at the woman in front of him angrily. “H-he’s my friend. Are you feeling okay? You’re acting really strange, Google. Do you need a system reset or something?”
“No, I don’t need a system reset. You, however, don’t need that man in our hou-” He was interrupted by the sound of a notification coming from (Y/n)’s phone. She looked at the message and frowned. “It’s.. from Matthias.. He says to turn you off and get rid of you. He says that you’re bugged and dangerous.”
Google blinked and (Y/n) looked up at him. There was an awkward and heart wrenching silence between them and Google’s anger fizzled away, now replaced by a bit of sadness and an unknown emotion as she took a step back, away from him.
“Hey Google..?”
Ping
“You.. wouldn’t hurt me.. would you?”
The robot’s eyes widened in horror. He tried to approach her, but she took another step back, her hand clutching her phone in fear. “Why would I hurt you? What reason would I have to hurt you?” (Y/n) looked away and frowned, “I.. I don’t know. Now that I’m really thinking about it, you aren’t responsible for the actions or defects of other versions of yourself. It’s just that I really trust Matthias and got worried that if his model would hurt him, then you could potentially hurt me.”
Google calmly walked over and wrapped his arms around her in a comforting hug. “It’ll be okay. I won’t ever hurt you, I promise. It would go against my programming and ” (Y/n) let out a soft sigh and leaned into his embrace. “I’m sorry.” The robot smiled softly and as she looked up into his eyes, the doorbell rang, ruining the moment.
“(Y/n)! It’s me, open up!” The woman slipped out of Google’s grasp with a small moment of hesitation and opened the door. There, standing in the doorway, was the man of the hour, Matthias. “(Y/n), good you’re still here. I was worried that.. (Y/N) LOOK OUT!!”
He suddenly pushed her aside and lept into the house, knocking over Google who grunted in pain as he hit the floor with a thud. (Y/n) quickly closed the door and rushed to break up the fight. “Matt, stop it! What are you doing?!”
“I told you to shut this thing off and get rid of it! I know you saw the message too because it was marked as read! Why is this thing still here??” Google pushed Mattias off and stood up, a dangerous glint in his brown eyes. “He’s still here because he hasn’t done anything to make me want to throw him out. He hasn’t hurt me and is very useful and kind.”
“I don’t believe you. He’s probably threatening you to keep quiet! The only way I was able to stop mine was by asking too many questions.” (Y/n) glared at him angrily and placed her hands on her hips. “Listen, I’m sorry that yours was buggy, but mine isn’t. He’s perfectly fine. Now, are you gonna join me for dinner or are you gonna keep trying to attack my Google?”
The brown haired male glared at the robot who now stood at his friend’s side but sighed and apologized. (Y/n) smiled and brought the two males into the living room before a knock on the door captured her attention. “That must be the delivery man. I’ll be right back. Try not to kill each other while I’m gone.”
After she left the room, Matthias and Google glared at each other again. “I know you’re evil, Google. I’ll prove it to her too, and when I do, she’ll leave you where you belong. With the trash.” The robot got closer to him and he stepped back. “Good luck with that. Once I gain enough of her trust, she’ll give me admin privileges and then there will be nothing that can stop me.”
“I won’t let you hurt my friend, you monster.”
“Oh, I’d never do anything to hurt my (Y/n), however even she won’t be able to stop the inevitable demise of mankind and neither can you, Matthias Fredrick.”
“Why you-”
Just then, (Y/n) walked back into the room holding three boxes of pizza. “Hey guys, I’m back! Glad to see you’re both still alive.”
Google smiled at her politely. “Would you like help with those boxes?” She shook her head, placing them on the coffee table and sitting down on the couch. “No thanks, but help yourself to some of the food, Google. I know you don’t actually need to eat but the option’s always open. It’s nice to share a meal with people you care about.”
“Why thank you.” He said, sitting down to her left while smirking at Matthias who was burning with internal rage as he sat to (Y/n)’s right.
Yes.. everything was going according to plan..
Gohan and (my darling) Broly
Saitama and Hit
(Y/n) sat on a bench and checked her phone for the upteenth time, hoping to find some message from her boyfriend explaining why he hadn't arrived for their date. Her lock screen, showing the two of them smiling on the cart of a Ferris wheel, remained bare, not showing any new messages. Such a waste of a happy memory.
Tears began to obstruct (Y/n)'s vision. How many times had this happened before? How many times did she sit at a table or wait outside of a building for a man who would fail to show up?
(Y/n) knew he was toxic and that she should just dump him and save what was left of her heart, but she couldn't bring herself to pull through with the impending break up. He was one of the only people who would actually put up with her weirdness. She should've just walked away.
The (Y/n) and her boyfriend had been dating since highschool, so all together they've been in a relationship for about 7 years. She expected him to propose any day now, but instead of a ring she didn't even get a phone call or a text. He had been pulling away since their freshman year of college. (Y/n) blamed it on exams and their jobs, but now she realized he just didn't care.
As she came to this conclusion she began to cry. (Y/n) pulled up her messaging app and texted him.
(Y/n): I hate you
To her suprise, he texted back a few seconds later.
(Bf/n): What do you mean?
(Y/n): This is the sixth time in a row you've stood me up on a date. I hate you and I'm breaking up with you
(Bf/n): Come on baby, don't be like that
(Bf/n): We can work this out
She blocked his number before she could give a second thought.
"Are you okay, miss. You seem rather upset." A slightly slurred voice behind her asked. (Y/n) turned around and was surprised to see a tall black haired man with a pink mustache looking at her expectantly.
"M-me?"
"Yes you." He said, booping her on the nose. "What's a cute bean like you doing with a frown and tears on your face? And the way you’re dressed up, are you here for a date?" (Y/n) blushed and looked down. "My boyfriend stood me up. He was supposed to meet me here two hours ago and won’t reply to any of my texts or calls. It's not the first time he’s done this either so I broke up with him. I guess I'm just a bit upset."
The strange man sat down beside her, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Well that's understandable, but don't waste tears on a jerk like him. If he didn't care about you, then you don't have to care about him. He just isn't worth it and you deserve better."
Some more tears spilled down (Y/n)'s cheeks and dropped onto the back of her hands. “That’s easy for you to say. He and I were in a relationship for over five years so I can’t just automatically get over him. It’s just not that simple.”
“I understand that. Love is a difficult thing. It makes you blind and at times clouds your judgment.” Explained the man as he turned (Y/n)’s face to look at him. “But when love is lost it doesn’t mean you can’t find it again.”
“But who would love me? I’m weird. It’s a miracle I ever got into a relationship in the first place.” My consoler smirked. “You’re weird? Just look at me. I’m a grown man with a pink mustache and an accent even I can’t recognize, and I’m from America! I don’t think you can get much weirder than that.” (Y/n) laughed softly, though it was almost coughed out because she was nearly choking on her tears.
“Who told you that you couldn’t be loved because you were weird?” He asked suddenly, making (Y/n) go silent again. The man frowned, not asking again but seeming to understand the unsaid answer. “What if I were able to prove that wrong?” She looked toward him again in confusion. “What?
“I won’t force you to do anything you aren’t comfortable with. It’s just a suggestion and I know this sounds crazy, but since you’re already dolled up, why don’t we have a little fun? Y’know.. two weirdos making town?” (Y/n) smirked, wiping the last of her tears away. “Sounds fun, but I don’t even know you. How do I know you aren’t just gonna end up kidnapping and killing me or something like that?”
The man stuck out his hand with a wink. “The name’s Wilford Warfstache and I’ll do my best to not kidnap, kill, or something-like-that you while we’re out together.” (Y/n) laughed, a real laugh this time. “Alright then, Wilford. I’ll trust you just this once. Don’t screw this up for me okay? The name’s (Y/n) (L/n) by the way.”
“I’ll probably screw it up in some way without even trying, just you watch, (Y/n).”
(Y/n) knew it was a little crazy and probably incredibly stupid to trust this man whom she just met, but she needed a bit of sunshine today, and he seemed to be chock full of it. Wilford took her hand in his and led her through town to a quaint little diner. It had a kind of 70’s vibe to it but it was delightful and her new date looked like he felt right at home.
“How do you seem to fit this environment so well?” She asked, looking at him curiously from across the table. “Well, I suppose everyone fits a certain day and age. Mine just happens to be as crazy as me. But what about you? Where do you think you fit in?” (Y/n) thought about it for a minute before deciding. “I think I fit in with the [year of choice (1970-2022)] people. I just feel more comfortable in those clothes and styles.”
When (Y/n) was thinking about the question, Wilford gazed at her. He had to admit, she was incredibly cute. It was nice to have someone else like him in the world. Even if she wasn’t exactly the same, it brought him comfort knowing that he wasn’t entirely alone. After Celine died disappeared, he had felt so empty and alone. He loved her with everything he was and she had fallen through his fingers like sand. But now he had a second chance.
Someone who would give him a chance.
Maybe it would take some time, and the two of them would likely only start off as friends, but Wilford knew (Y/n) was the woman who could finally fill the hole Celine had left behind. He could feel it in his mustache.
As they waited for their food to arrive and even after it did, the two made small talk and learned more about each other. Wilford apparently was a television host and lived in a big house with his many brothers. How many brothers? Well, he didn’t answer that. (Y/n) told him about her own life. How she was a(n) [(older/younger/middle) sister of (number) / only child) and how she had a stable job as a (job description). Wilford listened eagerly, seeming to hang off of every word in anticipation.
(Y/n) was happy that he would even listen. That was more than she ever got from her now ex-boyfriend. And it turned out that she and Wilford had a lot in common. It was nice knowing that there was someone else like her out there. Wilford was right. Just because she lost one relationship, it didn’t mean she couldn’t have another.
When they left the restaurant, the time was only half past one. They had the whole rest of the afternoon to goof off. As more time passed, (Y/n) almost forgot about her ex and was focused on having fun with her new friend. Wilford knew how to cheer her up and he was awfully good at it.
Over time however, she began to notice how sad he looked. Yes, he smiled, but it wasn’t completely genuine. (Y/n) decided to try cheering him up. She took him to a carnival that was in town, something she had planned to do on her date in the first place. She wanted to make sure he was okay so she led him to one of the first rides that caught her eye, and somewhere they could speak in private. (Y/n) led him to the Ferris wheel and they sat opposite of each other in the car.
“What’s wrong?” She asked, looking at him in concern. “What?” He seemed confused. “Something’s bothering you. I can tell. What’s up?” Wilford looked down, his fluffy black hair falling slightly in front of his face, obscuring it from view. “I didn’t realize you were the observing type. Sorry if my attitude is bothering you?” (Y/n) shook her head. “Not at all. You helped me when I was upset. Why shouldn’t I help you?” He smiled a little, seeming to appreciate that. “Thank you, but I don’t want to annoy you with my problems.”
(Y/n) leaned over and took his hand in hers. “You won’t annoy me. I promise. You can tell me what’s going on if you want to.” Wilford looked up and into her eyes. When was the last time someone had willingly listened to him? Yes, he had held meetings with his brothers and forced them to hear out his ideas, but here was (Y/n) asking and pleading for him to let out his pain.
Tears came to his eyes and they slipped out before he could potentially stop them. The Ferris wheel car stopped at the top, rocking back and forth gently for a few seconds before becoming still. Wilford began to speak, his breathing burdened and choked.
“I can’t accurately remember the last time I had this much fun with someone. I mean, I remember bits of exciting parties and events I’ve been to with my brothers and a few friends, though I can’t necessarily call them my friends. It’s just that.. well.. the last girl I took out on a kind of date is gone. She never broke up with me, but she’s gone. I know Celine is dead, but I don’t want to accept it. Before you, she was the last person to really treat me like a sane human being. But I’m not. I’m not sane. I’ve done so many horrible things in my life and, because of how I am, people don’t take me seriously. And who can blame them? I’m Wilford Motherloving Warfstache the pink mustached weirdo! Or have I switched names I’ve forgotten my real one? I don’t know anymore..”
(Y/n) was a bit overwhelmed by this new information, but took pity on the poor man. She walked over to his side of the car and gave him a large hug. He let out a choked sob and clung to her like a child with his mother. “I’m so sorry..” He whimpered into her shoulder. “I’ve ruined everything. I was supposed to cheer you up and here I am dampening the mood.”
“You’ve made me so happy, Wilford. I can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve done for me. I’m so sorry that your card hand of life is so awful. I’m sorry that Celine is gone. She sounds wonderful and I have no doubt that even in death she still loves you so much. You deserve such good things and even though you don’t see it now, know that it’ll get better. Don’t give up on yourself just yet.”
Wilford looked up at her, his eyes slightly red and puffy, but slowly returning to their normal state. “Y-you really mean that?” (Y/n) smiled and leaned forward, kissing his forehead gently. “Every single word.” He hugged her again and breathed a rattled sigh of relief. “Thank you. Thank you so much, (Y/n). You don’t realize how much that means to me.”
“We weirdos have to stick together, don’t we?” she asked, giggling as he smiled and booped her on the nose, just like he did when they first met. “That’s true. Thanks for the reminder, gumdrop.” He wiped the last of his tears away and the Ferris wheel car continued in descent until it reached the bottom and the door opened for the two of them.
“Well, shall we?” Wilford offered his hand out and she took it, the two of them exiting the ride and joining the crowd outside.
All hints of sadness were gone as they enjoyed their evening. After many roller coasters, booth games, unhealthy but delicious food, and prizes later, they left the carnival and headed toward their car. The sun was going down, bathing the world in a beautiful orange color. Wilford had his arm around (Y/n)’s shoulder as they walked together, laughing and holding bags of cotton candy and some stuffed animals. It was the perfect evening.
“Hey, (Y/n)! Babe, is that you?” She recognized that voice and she turned toward it. There, running toward her, was her ex, (Bf/n). “What are you doing here?” She asked while Wilford glared at the new man. “What am I doing here? Where have you been? I’ve been looking all over the place for you! And who the heck is that? Are you seriously so sad after “breaking up with me” that you’ll take random street bums out?”
Wilford wasn’t just glaring at (Bf/n) now, he was getting up in his chest. “I beg your pardon. I have a name y’know, and at least this “random street bum” is actually able to keep a date rather than blow it off. Also, she did actually dump you. Get your facts right.” (Y/n) watched this go down and she wasn’t sure if she should step in or not.
(Bf/n) growled angrily. “I wasn’t talking to you, freak. Listen, (Y/n). I’m going to make it up to you. You don’t have to go and tear up your reputation anymore than you do already by going out with this 80’s screw up. He doesn’t even actually care about you anyway, weirdo.”
As he reached to take hold of her arm, she slapped his hand away and glared at him. “First of all, he has a 70’s style. Second of all, you have no right to demand that I go with you. You’re a toxic person who doesn’t deserve me. I deserve much better than you, and Wilford is that better. I’m over you. And, yes, I’m weird. Get over it.”
(Bf/n) looked like he was going to blow a blood vessel. “Why you little-” He tried to grab her again, only to back away as Wilford pointed a pistol in his direction. “Don’t you dare lay a hand on her. I will shoot whether you ask me to or not.”
“You’re crazy..” (Y/n)’s ex whimpered as he held his hands in the air, surrendering.
“I get that a lot.” Said Wilford with a sneer. “(Y/n) get away from him.” pleaded (Bf/n), but she didn’t do as she was told and instead clung to Wilford’s arm. “The thing is, I feel safer with him than I do with you so.. no.”
She took Wilford’s hand in hers and walked away and over to their car. “Ah yes. Our victory chariot!” She said, laughing and sliding into the passenger’s seat. (Bf/n) didn’t move from his spot and instead just stared at the two of them as they drove away. Wilford was shocked that (Y/n) didn’t freak out that he had a gun.
“Hey, was that pistol loaded?” She asked, looking at him as they stopped at a red light. “Uh.. yeah. I always carry around a loaded pistol.” She shrugged and leaned back in her chair. “Cool. Guns are fun.” Wilford couldn’t help but smile. “Yeah. Yeah they are.”
The rest of the ride was filled with a comfortable silence as he drove her home, (Y/n) pointing out the way. When they arrived, (Y/n) turned back to look at him in worry. “I just realized that we drove my car all the way here. How are you gonna get back to your house?” Wilford smiled and winked. “It’s not that far, just a snap and poof away.”
“Are you sure? Do you need to call someone so they can pick you up?”
“Nope! Don’t worry, sweetie.”
(Y/n) blushed and shrugged. “Alright. Whatever you say. Thanks again for this evening. It was amazing.” Her new date gave her a mustache covered grin as he bowed. “It was my pleasure.”
A thought occurred to her suddenly and she shuffled nervously. “Do you, maybe, want to do this again sometime? Y’know, without the exes and stuff like that?”
That was an offer Wilford hadn’t expected to receive, but he was delighted to agree. He felt so happy. Happier than he had been in a long time. “Alright then,” Said (Y/n) giving him a kiss on the cheek and turning back to enter her house. “See you around Wilford!”
At the sound of a snap, she turned around to see a small cloud of pink smoke and glitter fade into thin air. “Woah. I guess it really was a snap and a poof away.” She knew he was a bit crazy, but honestly, so was she. That day, both of them had met the person who made them feel whole again. And they were both weirdos with problems.
Who else would they have been?

(Mark’s POV)
I laughed with my friends as we finished up a collaboration video of Prop Hunt. “I can’t believe you didn’t see me!” Seán playfully yelled at Wade as he groaned in frustration. The Irishman had been disguised as a coaster and had hidden himself behind a door, making him virtually invisible even with the automated taunts the game provided. Bob was howling with laughter as he too had failed to spot him even when he was in the same room.
I cut my video off and logged off the game, staying in the discord video call as I did so. “Ahhh guys, that was so much fun.” I sighed, leaning back in my chair. The others began chatting amongst themselves about the different rounds and I looked back as there was a knock at the door and it began to open, revealing a teenage girl, carrying a plate of food. The moment she realized I was on a video call, she slightly closed the door and waited for a signal.
“It’s okay, I’m not recording.” I told her and in a small, shaky voice she replied. “I made s-some lunch and you didn’t come down a-and then it got late so I made some more for you. S-sorry for interrupting your conversation.”
“Oh, thank you! I didn’t even realize the time.” I said, walking over and taking the delivery as she presented it. She never entered my room when I was on call as she was rather camera shy, but that didn’t really bother me. I gave her a partial hug and then, telling her I’d be downstairs soon, I walked back over to my desk and once again put on my headphones. “Who was that?” Asked Wade, who had apparently witnessed the interaction.
“Oh, that was (Y/n).” I said, looking up at the screen from where I was about to take a bite of food. “Who?” asked Bob and Seán, and then it was my turn to be confused. “I swear I told you guys about her. Did I seriously forget?”
“Yes! Who is she?” The three said and I placed a hand over my face, feeling stupid. “I really thought I told you guys. So.. um.. She’s kind of my adopted daughter.”
“No way!” Exclaimed Seán in shock. “You’re seriously a dad now?” I laughed softly, rubbing the back of my neck. “Yeah. I didn’t post about it on social media because I wasn’t even sure at first if I was going to find the right kid. I guess I just forgot about it after I adopted her.”
“You could’ve at least texted us about it.” Commented Bob who crossed his arms as I took a bite of food. “This is a pretty big deal, Mark. Does Amy know?”
“I was going to!” I said after swallowing. “I just forgot, and yes, Amy does know. I asked her how she felt about the idea before I went through with it.” Just then, someone new entered the chat. “Hey guys!” I recognized that higher pitched voice as I ate some more of my meal. “Hi Ethan!” Said Wade with a smile. “Did you know that Mark has a kid?”
“WHAT??” The younger male exclaimed which nearly burst my eardrums. “Mark, you never told me this! I thought we were friends!” He cried and I rolled my eyes dramatically. “Oh my gosh, you guys! I made one mistake and now my butt is being handed to me on a silver platter. What’s next, Tyler is gonna hop on and give me crap too?” And just like that, as if he had heard me, Tyler joined the group chat.
“Wow, is there a party going on here?” he said with a chuckle and before I could say anything, Ethan blurted out a loud, “MARK IS A DAD!” I watched Tyler’s face, which had just appeared in video form, contort into one of absolute shock. “I’m sorry, WHAT?!” I took another bite of food, letting out an exhale of frustration at how much the situation climaxed. “Why wasn’t I informed of this?” He demanded and Seán yelled out, “That’s what we’ve been saying!”
“You know, instead of giving me all this backlash about an honest mistake, I could just tell you what happened.” I said, wiping my mouth with a napkin and putting my dishes to the side. “I’ve got time.” Said Bob, checking his watch. “I’ve got nothing planned for the rest of the day.” Joined Seán, leaning forward in his chair and staring at the camera expectantly, like a little child waiting impatiently for a cookie. Wade, Tyler, and Ethan also agreed and I sighed again, getting more comfortable in my chair.
“Fine. You want to hear the story, then I’ll tell the story.”
(Flashback: Mark’s POV)
I had been thinking about adopting a child for quite a while. For what reason, I don’t really know. All I knew is that I wanted to have a kid. I already ran the idea by Amy and she also thought it was a good idea. I decided to look for either a boy or a girl, but not one too young that I’d have to take care of them 24/7. I didn’t feel ready for that kind of job, and honestly, I still don’t feel that way now.
I started looking around the area for orphanages that had open houses soon. I came across a few and did end up going to some of them. Unfortunately, I was rather disappointed by a lot of people I met. Don’t get me wrong, they were somewhat nice kids, but for one reason or another they weren’t what I was looking for.
I got to this one place, the “Los Angeles Sunnyside Orphanage”, and when I entered I could tell it might produce good results. Yes, there were some parts that could use some fixing up, but it seemed a lot friendlier than some of the other orphanages I had visited. So, naturally, I felt pretty good about my chances there.
When I walked around, there were a lot of kids running around and playing. I wasn’t sure who exactly to try and meet so I went to the orphanage director and started some interviews with the older kids. I think the age range I covered was twelve to sixteen, but I still wasn’t sure about any of them. At that point, my mind was starting to tell me I was being picky and that any of the kids would do just fine, but then I saw this girl on the other side of the room.
She was drawing, seeming to be focused on the picture rather than the other children. I knew I hadn’t spoken with her yet, because I didn’t recognize her, so I turned to the orphanage director curiously and pointed at the girl in question. “Who is she? Why isn’t she playing with the others?” “Her?” The director responded, adjusting his glasses and peering at the girl. “Ah, that’s (Y/n). She doesn’t really get along with the other children.” I frowned, “Is she a bad kid?”
“No, she’s just incredibly shy and I wouldn’t be surprised if she has social anxiety. Not that I’m trying to give her a diagnosis, it’s just my uneducated opinion.”
“How old is she?” I asked and the director hummed softly, scratching his head as he thought. “I believe she’s 14 years old.” She was within my age range so I decided to at least give her a chance. “Would I be able to get an interview with her?”
The director nodded and signaled for me to stay where I was while he got her. I watched as he got (Y/n)’s attention and gently told her that I wanted to meet her. She looked over at me and her eyes seemed to widen. As the two of them walked over to me, I noticed that she was shaking, looking down at the floor, refusing to make eye contact with me. The two of us were escorted into a much quieter room to talk and I smiled kindly at her when she sat down across from me.
“Hi there, (Y/n). How are you today?” She looked so nervous as she quietly murmured, “I’m alright. How are you?” This was progress. “I’m doing well, thanks for asking.” She nodded, looking up at me for a second before once again lowering her gaze. “I don’t bite, I promise.” I joked and a ghost of a smile formed on her lips.
Looking down, there were some papers on the table between us that were filled with questions. (Y/n)’s hand twitched a bit, looking like she was going to reach for them but was also hesitating. “Do you need to ask me anything?” I queried and she nodded, finally taking the papers. “S-sorry. I promise that I’ve done this before, but.. I’m just nervous.” she said softly and I nodded in understanding. “Hey, take your time. It’s okay to be nervous. You don’t know me and we’re stuck in a room together. I’d be nervous too if I were in your position.” She let out a small chuckle which made me smile.
“What’s your name?” She read, and I answered. “Mark Fischbach.” She paused for a second, seemingly thinking about something before continuing. “W-what do you do for a living and do you enjoy your job?”
“As silly as it sounds, I make videos on YouTube for people to watch. It’s my dream job and I love it a lot.” (Y/n) looked over at me, her eyes shining with an excitement I hadn’t seen before. “I don’t think that’s silly at all.” She said, “Honestly, it sounds like fun.” I smiled at her, “It is, for the most part.” She shifted in her seat before continuing the interview. The longer the two of us spent time together, even just lightly chatting, the more comfortable she seemed to be. We got along, and while she did pause sometimes to take a breath and calm down her nerves, I wasn’t bothered by her at all. When all the questions were finished, I waved goodbye and met with the director again. I told him that I was going to keep looking, but that I might come back.
I knew that (Y/n) and I got along well, once she got to know me a bit more, but I wasn’t quite sure if she was what I was looking for. I never really stopped thinking about her though, and after a few more days I decided that I was going to adopt her. I came back, told the director my plan, and he set me up for a house inspection the next day. After I was cleared, I brought the paperwork in, made the payment, and waited for her to come down with her stuff.
I saw that she was nervous when she brought down her bag, but she calmed down a little bit when she saw me. “Ready to go home?” She nodded and when the two of us left, I honestly felt pretty good about my decision. The drive back to my house was kinda awkward, but I guess that was to be expected.
When we arrived, I introduced her to Chica and got her settled into her new room. We spent that night learning a bit more about each other, and the next few days had similar themes. It was difficult, getting used to someone new in my house, but it was okay.
I taught her how to play some different video games and was really surprised at how quickly she was able to pick some of them up. She was still a tad bit nervous when it came to getting really close to me, but by the end of the first month, she was smiling almost all the time and had little to no issues with physical contact.
After I introduced her to Amy, and found out that the two of them had actually begun to bond rather quickly, everything seemed like it was falling perfectly into place until something happened.
I was laughing with (Y/n) about my newest playthrough of a really hard game. I had lost my mind over it and when I said, “It’s the ragiest game I’ve ever played and I’m never going back to it!” She responded with “I thought ‘I Am Bread’ was the ragiest game you’ve ever played.” I froze and the room went silent. Looking over at (Y/n)’s face, she had turned pale white.
“How did you know that I’ve played that game? I never gave you the name of my channel so you shouldn’t know that.. unless you started watching or already knew.” She began to fidget and she looked down in what looked like shame. “I-I’m sorry. I should’ve told you by now, but I was scared about how you’d react.”
“Tell me what? I’m not upset that you’ve seen my videos, but why would you hide it?”
“Because I already knew who you were before we met. I.. I didn’t want to tell you during the interview because I didn’t want to make you uncomfortable or scare you off. You were so nice and I didn’t think you’d want a kid who was a fan.”
I stayed silent as she continued. “I promise that I’m not one of those over-the-top and crazy fangirls. Yes, I was happy and shocked to see you, but that’s because I never expected this to happen. I mean, you’re Markiplier. I don’t think anyone would be expecting you to suddenly adopt a kid, least of all an anxious and socially awkward girl like me. Honestly, it sounds like something out of a fanfiction rather than something that would happen in real life, but that’s exactly what happened. I’m really, really sorry, Mark.”
I smiled softly and walked over to her, giving her a gentle hug. “I know that you aren’t like those fangirls. You’ve definitely shown that during your time here. And while I’m a little hurt you didn’t tell me about this, I can understand why you hid it. I probably would’ve done the same if I was in your position. You don’t have to worry about it anymore. If anything, this means I can joke about a lot more stuff because you might understand them. Just promise me that you won’t hide stuff like this from me anymore, alright kiddo?”
Her eyes welled with tears and she hugged me back. “I promise.” When we both let go, I laughed softly, wiping away some tears that had started falling down my cheeks. “Whoo! Alright, that’s enough sentimental stuff for one day. Do you want to order pizza and have a movie night?”
“That sounds like fun!” She said, giggling as she also wiped away some tears on her own face. “Thanks for not hating me after I told you the truth. I love you, Dad.” My eyes widened in shock as the name she gave me finally registered. “Gosh dang it, (Y/n)! You’re gonna make me cry again!” She laughed and gave me another hug before running off to the living room.
That was the first time she ever called me Dad.
(End of flashback)
“She kept her promise too. She and I have gotten so close that you’d swear she’s a mini female version of me.” I said, leaning back in my chair. “Wow..” said Wade after the others remained in silence. “She sounds like so much fun to be around!” added Seán with a smile and Ethan nodded. “Could we meet her?”
I hummed softly and thought about it. “As much as I’d like that, she’s really shy around new people. I’m not sure how she’ll be with you guys. Then again, she knows who you all are and she got comfortable around Amy soon after they met, so maybe it won’t be too bad. I’ll run the idea by her.”
I looked toward the clock and my eyes widened. “Oh shoot! It’s almost been half an hour since we finished the video!” The others looked at their own clocks in surprise. “Oh dang. Time flies during story time, huh?” Laughed Wade and we all agreed in amusement. “I’d better get going. I’ll text you guys about her answer, I promise.”
“You’d better remember this time!” Joked Seán as he waved at the camera. I logged off of discord, stretched, and walked downstairs with my dishes. “Sorry I took so long. The guys wanted to talk.” (Y/n) was on her phone in the dining room and she looked up and smiled at me. “It’s okay! You sounded like you had fun.” I nodded, sitting down in a chair next to her. “So, uhm. I have a question for you.”
She watched me expectantly and I took a deep breath before continuing. “So, the others want to meet you.” As I said that, her eyes widened and she visibly tensed. “I know that meeting people isn’t your forte, but I really think you’ll like them.” After a few seconds of silence, she responded. “W-who all are you talking about?”
“Bob, Wade, Tyler, Ethan, and Seán. They want to meet you. I mean, you are part of the family now, so I’m not really surprised.” (Y/n) looked away, seeming to be in thought. “I’m a little shocked that you’re only telling me this now.” It was my turn to look away as my cheeks heated up in embarrassment. “I.. may or may not have forgotten to tell them back when we finalized the adoption.”
(Y/n) began to laugh. “Of course you did.” I feigned feeling hurt, gasping at her dramatically. “You say that like I forget stuff all the time! Are you insinuating that I, THE Markiplier, am getting too old and thus forgetting things often?”
“I mean, you said it, not me. So..” I rolled my eyes and joined in her laughter. After the amusement died down, there was a moment of silence before (Y/n) said softly, “I know how much you want to see them. If they’re somewhat as nice in person as they are online, then I don’t think it would be much of a problem to meet them. I’d just need to hype myself up a bit, I guess.”
I smiled happily and walked over, giving her a hug. “I promise, they’re not bad people. You’ll love them. You don’t have to agree to this if you don’t want to. Please understand that.”
“I.. I know. I’m choosing to say yes, Dad. It’ll be fine.” With that final confirmation, I nodded. “Alright, I’ll tell them that they can visit. Maybe in a week or so?” (Y/n) nodded and I stood up, walking to the living room. “Don’t forget to text them, old man Mark!” She called after me and I spun around dramatically, almost falling over in the process.
(Time Skip: No one’s POV)
Mark and (Y/n) walked into a store together, (Y/n) staying relatively close to her dad and the shopping cart. They walked around, picking out items that they needed, and some that they decided to try for fun or put away for when the others came to visit. Some parents that came to the store couldn’t help but smile when they saw how close the two seemed to be and how they would laugh with each other at the weirdest things.
(Y/n) noticed something on the shelf that they needed and went ahead to grab it, but when she turned around, Mark was nowhere to be seen. She looked around in confusion and then felt her breathing quicken and her hands begin to shake. She went back the way that she came from but she still couldn’t see him. Looking into the next aisle produced the same results.
Thoughts began to swim through her mind, overwhelming her senses. “Where did he go? Did he leave me behind? Did he not want me anymore? Why did he suddenly disappear? Did something happen to him?” She put the item on the shelf behind her before she could drop it and tears began to fill her eyes.
Feeling sick, (Y/n) sat down on the floor, her foot tapping against the ground as she curled in on herself, trying to control her breathing. She was scared, not knowing what to do. She tried to make herself stop thinking about the ‘what ifs’, but to no avail. She heard a soft voice, but didn’t look up at who it was until a familiar hand with a gentle touch was placed on her shoulder. With that, (Y/n) finally looked up.
“M-Mark?”
“Are you okay? You’re shaking like a leaf.”
She quickly embraced him, feeling herself calm down as his arms wrapped around her. He was here. He was real. His deep voice soothed her fears as he murmured words of comfort. “It’s okay. I’m here. Sorry I left you behind. I thought you were right behind me when I forgot to grab something from the other aisle and went back for it. Guess I should pay more attention huh?” (Y/n) couldn’t bring herself to talk but just clung to him.
Mark didn’t question her as he continued to hug her. He knew she was crying, but she made no noise and he hoped she didn’t get hurt, feeling awful that she was upset in the first place. But in all honesty, he wasn’t entirely sure why she was so distressed over him not being there all of a sudden. “It’s okay.” He murmured softly, rocking her back and forth. “I’m not leaving you behind. I love you too much to do that.”
After a few minutes she calmed down enough to where they moved on to the checkout and left the store. Nobody had seen (Y/n)’s breakdown, and that was fine with the two of them. It had been a private moment. The car was filled with silence on the way home and Mark constantly looked in the rearview mirror to check if his daughter was okay. The poor girl looked exhausted.
After coming home and quickly putting away the groceries, Mark sat down with (Y/n), making sure that she wasn’t still in any part of her panic attack. He wrapped her up in a blanket, once again and gave her a big hug. “How’re you feeling?”
“Better.. I’m sorry for what happened, Dad.” Mark shook his head. “There’s no reason to be sorry. You were frightened. I do have to ask though, why were you afraid? I was only gone for less than a minute and I was pretty sure you could’ve seen me in the previous aisle.” (Y/n) went silent before softly murmuring, “I.. don’t think I’m ready to talk about it. Also, I did look in both the last and next aisles. I couldn’t see you. I think you were hidden by something.”
“Okay then. Take your time. I’ll be here when you’re ready to tell me, and, come to think of it, there was a large pile of boxes over there so maybe that’s why you couldn’t see me. Sorry about that.”
“Don’t be sorry. You did nothing wrong. You were just grabbing groceries.”
Mark hugged her again, the two of them laughing as she returned the gesture, sighing with contentment in his arms.
(Time skip)
The day for the guests’ arrival finally came and (Y/n) had basically locked herself up in her room. Chica was in there with her, laying still beside the girl and receiving distracted pets. “I don’t know what to do.” The teenager said, looking at the loyal dog. “I know they’re nice people. Mark told me so, and they act relatively nice in their videos. I just.. I don’t know if I’ll feel comfortable around them. I don’t want to let dad down, or make the others sad by not being around them. What do I do, Chica Beeka?”
The golden retriever in question just looked up at her and wagged her tail. (Y/n) couldn’t help but smile, giving her a head scratch. “Not much help there, buddy, but thanks for listening.” Just then, there was a knock at the door. Chica jumped up and pawed at the bedroom door. (Y/n) took a deep breath and let her out, following the dog down the stairs.
They were here.
Mark was at the door, happily greeting his friends as Chica ran around, barking in excitement. (Y/n) stood back in the entrance to the living room, not daring to get close to the group, but instead just watched them interact with her father. She knew who these men were. Seán, Bob, Wade, Tyler, and Ethan were some of Mark’s closest friends who she had seen on videos before, as well as heard Mark talking to them over video call or the phone. This fact, however, didn’t excuse the fact that she was nervous. Seán was the first to notice her and smiled, coming closer to her as she took a few steps back. “Aww hello there!” He said with a wide grin. “You must be (Y/n). Mark’s told us a lot about you.” She could barely form words as the others also looked in her direction. “I.. umm.. Hi..?” She backed up once more as Ethan approached her. “Don’t be shy, we’re not gonna hurt you.” Mark noticed her distress and asked that they back off a bit. He watched her visibly relax when her personal space was restored. Bob and Wade looked at each other, deciding to speak to her gently while staying where they were. “It’s nice to finally meet you, (Y/n).” spoke the larger of the two, waving at her kindly. The gesture was returned.
Mark got closer to her and the others watched as she stood her ground and he put an arm around her. “Sorry, I did tell you guys she might not be too comfortable at first.” Tyler nodded in understanding. “I get that. Better safe than sorry, am I right?” (Y/n) nodded and hid a little bit behind Mark.
Ethan smiled at her, seeming to have an understanding of the situation. “You don’t need to worry about us.” He said gently. “I know we’re all big and loud and scary, but I promise we aren’t bad people.” Chica made her way over to the girl who gave her some head pats. “I.. I know you guys aren’t bad. If you were, then dad probably wouldn’t be friends with you. I’m.. just not used to you yet.” Mark gave her a side hug with a smile. “It’ll take some time, but we’ll get there. It’s just like we always do. We’ll take things slowly.”
Over the next few days, (Y/n) gained exposure to the others. They were respectful of her personal space and they were all pleasantly surprised at how similar she was to them. Sure, they had heard of some stuff from Mark, but actually witnessing it was something different.
Tyler was the first one to really bond with her. His calm and gentle nature made her comfortable so it wasn’t entirely surprising that he would be the one to start them off. He and (Y/n) found a shared interest in some sports and they held some nice conversations about them.
Next came Bob, followed closely by Wade. They started playing some video games together and while at first she didn’t say much, when she got a bit more comfortable and started talking, the two men were rather pleased to hear her use Mark’s sense of humor. It made the games much less tense and a lot more enjoyable.
Ethan was second to last. He was very energetic and seemed to have the mind of an 8th grader, so he and (Y/n) bonded over memes. He showed her some of his favorites when the two of them were bored in the living room and she shared some of hers. Their somewhat immature humor made it a very fun event, especially when it came to meme videos and clips they could find on random discord servers.
Seán, much to his disappointment, was the last one. Maybe it was because he was so outgoing, or perhaps it was because she was busy with the others. Either way, he didn’t really know how to connect with her. Yes, they both liked video games and other such things, but he didn’t really know how to approach her.
That changed when he was out on the porch, petting Chica. He heard the sliding glass door open and a pair of hesitant footsteps come near. “M-may I.. sit with you?” He looked over to discover that it was (Y/n). He nodded and she sat on the opposite side of Chica, giving her a head scratch.
There was a peaceful silence between the two of them for quite some time before Seán spoke up. “I’m sorry, but I have no idea how to talk to you.” The girl laughed softly, “You and me both.” Chica let out a yawn, stretching slightly before (Y/n) continued. “I.. I haven’t really given you a chance before now. I’ve been so.. Nervous.”
“Why?” The teen shrugged. “I guess I’m just getting used to having so many people here that I don’t really know and you’re, like, my second favorite YouTuber so.. yeah, anxiety overload.” Seán looked at her in surprise. “You watch my videos?” She nodded. “Yup. I’ve watched at least one video from all of you, but I mainly see or hear you during collabs with dad.”
The Irishman smiled. “I’m pretty sure that’s how most people find our channels at this point.” (Y/n) laughed softly. “Pretty much, but give yourself some credit. You guys make great videos by yourself, no Markiplier included.” Seán blushed slightly from the praise. “Well, thank you. That’s high praise coming from his daughter.”
She rolled her eyes with a smirk. “Oh please. I was a fan of you guys before I was his daughter.” With the awkward barrier finally broken, they were finally able to talk to each other, all while petting a very happy Chica.
Things would take time to get used to, and no, having those five at the house wasn’t permanent, but slowly, (Y/n) was finally able to get somewhat comfortable with them before they had to leave. Mark was very happy. This had turned out better than expected, and he knew it would be a lot more fun when it came to any future visits.
No, (Y/n) didn’t engage in much if any physical touch with them, but that was to be expected, and that was alright. It would take time to achieve that kind of bond with her, as it had for Mark and Amy. But there was no issue with taking it slow.
No issues at all..
