i’m finally reading the Way You Used To Do fic. and wanted to make a mini comic inspired by one of the sections in the fic…also i don’t know Japanese sign language i used references from a silent voice manga to try and help me out. so if this is all wrong sorry.

bkdk is that one couple everyone hates not because of pda or anything, but bc they’ve known each other their whole lives they’re practically married.

Deku going out with his friends, and bakugou waiting by the door with a sweater bc deku is so predictable and his friends are like ‘ughh can you get any sweeter?’ And bakugou full on kissing deku and telling him to have fun and come home.

also pet names!!! They call each other all the pet names but bakugou goes crazy for pet names loves being called them and loves flustering deku with them. (but nothing will get deku more flustered than bakugou calling him izuku)

I remember the one panel of Izuku reflecting of their old relationship, how everyone followed Kacchan as a kid because he was so confident....So I used that as inspiration and had him initiate.

(Katsuki said "follow me" and LORD did Izuku do so)

Also, we all know and love the idea/headcanon of Inko and Mitsuki being previous friends(and they have been shown in the background in a few panels when the neighborhood kids are playing/teasing Izuku so I do think they were or at least became mom-friends), leading to Izuku and Katsuki hanging out as little kiddos, but WHAT IF it was the dads? They just happened to bring their boys to the same playground the same day....The rest is history.

Bonus below shows Masaru Bakugou and the elusive Hisashi Midoriya watching their boys run around the playground playing Heroes. Which I think would be an interesting way to introduce Hisashi to this story, as well as giving Masaru a little bit more personality.

It’s time for a new meta post 😎

Today, I am going to discuss this wonderful tweet from the official Crunchyroll Account

And why it is relatively harmless and is feeding into the narrative that Hori purposefully set up! Now, first for any IzuOchas who stumble upon this post, I am by no means bashing the ship. I quite like it myself considering...well it’s the only meaningful straight ship set up for Izuku....

Ochako doesn’t have any direct female competition in the series. Which is quite unique for a Shonen. I mean sure there’s Toga who also likes Deku. But Deku is positively creeped out by her. And sure there’s Hatsume who Ochako is jealous of. But she has no interest in anything other than her babies.

So where’s the drama Hori, huh? Don’t you know half the fun in fandom is bloody shipping wars that are resolved only at the very end with everyone spawning?! Unless...there is a love triangle?

But “But Eri...” you say, “you can’t be suggesting that Ochako’s competition is....a boy?!”

*gasp* you say. “But...no...gays aren’t a thing in Shonen. Especially not with main characters! You’re delusional!”

But am I...really? I find it very interesting how often Uraraka’s feelings towards Deku are paralleled with Deku’s feelings towards Bakugo.

For both of them, it’s all about admiration. Uraraka admires Deku and wants to be more like him just like Deku admires Bakugo and wants to be more like HIM. They parallel each other almost perfectly. Which brings me to my point.

I think Hori is using IzuOcha to showcase Deku’s feelings towards Bakugo. A perfect red herring. Uraraka’s feelings are first brought up here. “You were just thinking ‘if I were Izuku Midoriya...’ weren’t you?” I wonder who else thinks this way....a whole lot actually.

In conclusion: The true love triangle in BNHA is between Bakugo and Uraraka which is unexpected since most people don’t think a gay ship has a chance in hell of being canon. We are straight baited to hell y’all. And the Crunchy Roll intern and any other big companies don’t realize it. Don’t believe me? Well, I will just say I find it very interesting how Uraraka is insisting she’s “put her feelings away” at the exact same time that Bakugou is embracing his true feelings for Deku. Very very interesting.

Something interesting in light 284 is Bakugou means this both figuratively

AND LITERALLY

He gets very very flustered when being close to Deku in any way. Poor bby gay.

I absolutely loved everything about their analysis on Katsuki and Izuku’s relationship with one another

It gives it not only a lot of depth, but also connects dots some of us hadn’t seen beforehand

I’ve said this before somewhere, but I’ve always found it peculiar how in this scene, Bakugou is watching All Might while Deku is just watching Bakugou. It has always been eyes on Bakugou, no matter what. Even with his passion and admiration for All Might, he looked at Bakugou like that. 

He looked at Bakugou in the same way he looked at the greatest, the number 1 hero. 

This isn’t the first example of this, either. All throughout their childhood, even in times when we can assume Bakugou was already being mean to him, he STILL looked at him like that. That admiration, passion, care and love…it never went away, no matter their circumstances. 

That’s unconditional love. 

Being able to see past the flaws and outward harshness of someone, being able to see all of the good sides of someone who would normally be hated based on how they treat people, defending them and believing in them, wanting what’s best for them; it’s nothing short of raw, unconditional love. 

The same eyes, over and over again. Even when he was pushed down and forced to chase after Bakugou, he had that same look. A look so pure and filled with admiration and care, they’re feelings so strong that they never went away for a single second. Even as he aged, even in middle school when Bakugou treated him like utter garbage. He held out for the day they could stand on even ground, and then he was given OfA and obtained that chance. 

Though obviously, Bakugou being the stubborn boy he is, still made it hard, but that didn’t stop Deku from hoping. Then we got KvD2 and Bakugou learning about OfA and coming face to face with himself and his flaws.

And then we get to see that the way Deku looked at him all their lives, never changed. Not for a single moment, that admiration never waivered. 

Unconditional love, man. That look, that awe and amazement, he’s watched Bakugou with those eyes all of his life. It’s never changed, and I think that’s such an important aspect to remember when considering their relationship. Deku has always, ALWAYS had unconditional love and support for Bakugou, it has never been anything else. Even having the parts that Deku hates, Bakugou was always everything he aspired to be and the one person he wanted to always have in his life. 

It’s just …always been Bakugou. Not All Might, not anyone else.

I can't stop thinking about Bakugou's posture: His shoulders are down, the grenade under the water, his face is tilted down, instead of his regular proud stand. His expression is hesitant, shy, and he is reaching out for Midoriya's hand with this tentative air, almost unbelieving, and certainly regretful.

Bakugou Katsuki is truly humble when faced with the fact that Midoriya's unwavering support and love is real and all for him.
